    A good take on the supernatural. Occasionally graphic, witches, werewolves, hunters and the unknown!
    Starting our main character is subjected to the extremist views of others. This mainly conceding “keeping the bloodlines pure”. The internal monologues were fun to read and were well written.

    Wow. This book is more complex than I expected. The backstory of The Orden spans the entire book series. However, if you're only interested in the individual love stories, you can of course read them individually.

    Halle and Cade's fated mate/slow-burn love story is intertwined with Halle's childhood (trauma) and the fact that she isn't a pureblood wolf shifter. Being different is ostracizing and brings here unforeseeable consequences.

    I liked how Halle's memory gaps gradually closed and she found more and more to her true self. The story surrounding The Order of the Crescent Moon doesn't bode well for the upcoming books. I'm curious to see how the story will develop.

    I started on book 2, and maybe that wasn't the best idea but honestly I didn't feel like I missed anything while reading. Overall, I enjoyed the character development and neither of the main characters became so repetitive I wanted to scream, so I'd say that was a success! There were times when I wish there was a little more, specifically with Cade's pack and Halle, especially when they arrive at the sanctuary. I mean how come you don't hear them chatting more through the pack bond 🤔 ???
