The enemies keep coming ,only the tie of the families can work to get through the darkness that threatens them .     Just finished my ARC of Deviant hacker. It has it all. Love hate guilty pleasure and of course a happy ending. Again Maggie Cole has written a book that has you enthralled from the beginning to the end. Didn’t want to put it down. Looking forward to Finn’s story but will be sad that this series has finished.

    I was excited about the premise of this story and the idea that Declan was determined to make Simona pay for endangering his family. I was a little disappointed at how it ended up being captured in the book.

    There was good 'bad' treatment of Simons initially but it felt over and done with too quickly. It was like Declan's lust overrode his desire for revenge.

    Simona's character seemed quite childish but not in a good way. I did like her strength of character once she was away from Declan and after they reconciled.

    The D kink felt like it was just thrown in as filler.

    All told, I struggled to finish this one.

    I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good dual style audio.

    I found it harder to get into this storyline. The start of the book was difficult to read; especially as it dragged on for so long. I think it detracted from the storyline overall as it just left me feeling intense dislike for Declan. I was tempted to skim forward. I have loved the other books in this series especially the Ivanovs.

    I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would, and the moment she called him daddy was when I really lost interest. I just don’t understand why a man likes to be called daddy, unless he’s a pedaphile. I have nothing against the 22 year age gap, but just call him Declan, or baby, or sweetie. Daddy is just too slimy.

    I'm obsessed with this series. These guys and their women are all amazing, strong, loyal people. Each book I read has me loving the characters more and more. This book is no different. I always thought Declan was the quiet one. He definitely has opinions and his own mind. When he finds who is responsible for sending those articles in, he's quite surprised to see who it is. He takes her to his house and plans to get info out of her. It's the one person he hasn't seen again since that first night but he's been looking for her every time he's at the pub. Is she out to get the O'Malley family or is she just caught up in so.egging much bigger then she can imagine? Definitely a great book. I loved reading all about Declan and Simons

    Each one of these books have shown how the O'Malley and Ivanov family treats and respects others. It shows in every single book. There tons of suspense, action, drama and heat!

    I really liked the story between Simona and Declan and although I found it cringeworthy sometimes that he refers to himself as Daddy in the third person I got over that as well. They were sweet and twisted and of course everything I expected from a mafia romance, but dark all over this was not. The beginning was a bit off but none of it was so dark to really be able to claim this title, at least not in my opinion, or maybe I’ve become a bit (or a lot!) desensitised.

    What I really didn’t enjoy and do take this with a pinch of salt since I only read this book in the series, was the relationship between the brothers/cousins. Like seriously, do they love each other or are they just weird and each man for himself. They were disorganised, question each others loyalties, no real support or love between them, their relationships fracturing the more I read. I didn’t enjoy the other characters and it was frustrating to me at times how individualistic and selfish and hypocritical they all were. Maybe I’ve just been reading the same kind of tropes, but I thought given what they were facing and what they were trying to achieve there would be a bit more loyalty and support amongst them, as the great Irish mob family they were trying to have.
    Meh, maybe it was just me but if that’s the type of family she ended up in then maybe she should reconsider (says to Simona, knowing she won’t hear it).

    The smut was fun and spicy and I found it well written.
    5 stars and hope someone else enjoys it more.

    This story was amazing as I offered an older man, younger woman. Declan kidnapped Simona and their story begins. He even goes against Liam for her. As he discovers she is not who he is looking for, she helps trace the culprit. There is so much in this story, as always, and some loose ends get wrapped, others are just getting started. Wonderful series, can't wait for the final story 😀

    This is another action and suspense filled story with so intense psycho moments that somehow sort themselves out. And let's just say the Chicago O'Malley clan has a few of the princesses of other psycho clans... Terirain needs his own story... maybe he could find a cat burger or lady assassin for himself or a Lady Doctor... anyways, this was another great story from the start no real overlap with other stories and it was full of action and suspense. This story has a lot more bondage, and Daddy type sexual scenes. It may border on some people's kidnapping triggers... but it is a good story if your not sensitive to kidnapping and hostage situations. I really liked it it doesn't have quite enough hacking from the Angel but what she does is good...

    Maggie has done it again! This series has gripped me from the very beginning and continues to excite me. Declan and Simona are such a great couple. He is a sexy, possessive,smart hottie and she is a brilliant, strong, resilient woman. Although their relationship started off from a point of anger, lies and betrayal, their chemistry is electric and both quickly feel more for each other. The loyalty and devotion that Declan shows Simona, even when she tries to push away, keeps me hoping for their HEA. Of course, as always, I can’t wait for the next book!
