Wow! Fantastic storytelling!
I feel like the writing in every book in this series gets stronger. The connection between the characters, the story arc, the dialogue. All of it. Fleur and Casper had me hooked from the very first page. So much emotion, pain and action. It’s fast paced. It’s explosive and their chemistry was AMAAAAZING!!! Definitely recommend

Blaze starts off with setting the tone for the story with two intense and emotional prologues. There’s no doubt about Fleur and Casper’s connection or chemistry. It jumps off the pages. After the two prologues the story jumps into another tone. Action and suspense. Guns blazing. It’s one hell of an entertaining ride. Some twists along the way. One I didn’t see coming and liked cause it added another layer to the story and also to the dynamics between the characters.
From the previous book Scorch I already knew Casper could be ruthless so that wasn’t a surprise but his humorous, vulnerable and possessive sides were and I couldn’t get enough of that. He could be become a monster when needed and especially for Fleur.
Fleur just kept on growing throughout Blaze. An awesome character arc. She took charge and kicked ass. I especially loved when she took and laid claim to Casper. Badass lady!
The Virtues and Lies world revolves around a group of characters and just as it was in the previous books they’re all present in Blaze too.
Blaze is a fabulous romantic suspense with two great sub genres. Age gap and surprise pregnancy. The steam is off the charts and I especially enjoyed it because of the heroine Fleur. She knows what’s she wants and is pretty vocal about it.
Blaze is the third book in the series and sets up the story for book 4. Let me just say that I couldn’t be more excited after that epilogue.

'Blaze' is the third book of the 'Virtues and Lies' series by Alexandra Silvia. This book was one hell of a military / contemporary romance novel.
From the moment I read the book 2 of this series , and it pointed towards the characters of this book , I have been so excited!! Casper was one of my favourite characters and Fluer was one mysterious character that I was so excited to uncover.
This author has done an amazing job of giving us a military/contemporary novel that absolutely took my heart! Both the characters were amazing and the storyline was so freaking perfect! I read this book in a single sitting and enjoyed every damn word. What I liked the most about this book was it's unpredictability. You really couldn't guess what wa going to happen when , and the moment you thought all the twists were over , the author was ready to slap you with yet another one!
This book is recommended to all the contemporary romance lovers out there , and I really wish that I could give this book more stars!

WOW.... A Silva has done it again and completely knocked me off-balance with her stunning words and all-consuming story of Casper and Fleur. This book is full of non-stop suspense, steam, mafia drama, family ties, and more steam! Every page was like reading prose; every chapter was like jumping into the middle of an action movie set, where the hero is untouchable and OH SO HOT!!!
The evolution of Casper & Fleur's relationship is brilliant and beautiful. What starts as an accidental pregnancy and "casual sex" leads to one of the most epic romance tales I have read. Their love is so powerful and deep that I often found I had tears in my eyes of both joy and heartache. This hero and heroine are absolutely a pillar of strength throughout this book and I don't think I loved one of them any more than the other.
There is not one dull moment in this book. You will be holding your breath, sighing and swooning over the hero, and cheering on the heroine. The side characters are fantastic, as well as the setting. Absolutely brilliant A Silva! I'm so glad there is more to come from this world!!

Been dying for this story since it was first hinted at in book 2. This whole series has broken me in the very best way but deep down I knew this would be the worst of them all. Casper being ex military intrigued me, and Fleur... Well it's been obvious from book 1 (and given who her family is) she's got plenty of secrets for us to uncover...
I can never write long reviews for this author, as I am normally far too riveted from cover to cover to come up with anything "good". With this amazing series you need to stay focused as so much is jammed into every page, and with enemies round every corner, if you blink, that could be the kill shot. Especially in this book...
Absolutely nothing goes the way I was expecting, but that just made this book even more amazing. One of my favourite things was seeing Fleur transform. She is like a completely different person by the end of the book, from when it started. Utterly inspiring.
God SO much happened in this book, I swear the author takes each new book as a challenge to pack more in and shed more blood. I for one am all for it, even if it kills me just that little bit more every time. This book was everything and more, wish I could give it more stars.

Blaze is a breathtaking and stunning story of love, revenge, and family. Casper and Fleur are EPIC!! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough and yet I was loathe for the story to end.
Casper and Fleur are both passionate, headstrong individuals and they will stop at nothing to protect each other and their child. What started as an accidental pregnancy turns into a soul-binding love. Their chemistry is explosive.
Fleur is a fiercely protective of Casper and her unborn child. She is such a strong heroine that learned to push aside her pain and do what needed to be done. Casper was cold and ruthless with everyone but Fleur. I loved how she brought out his softer side.
As with the other books in this series, danger and secrets are around every corner. It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Each book builds upon the next and the scene is set for the conclusion to the series.
Blaze is romantic suspense at its best. It was just….wow! I highly recommend.

This series gets better and better every single time. Ms. Silva has a way of drawing you into the suspense, the drama, the angst, the steam. This story has it all and then some. Just when you think it will go one way, bam...another shoe drops and everything begins to make sense and then again, nothing makes sense. To be fair, I had no idea who the heck would get a happy ending in this story, IF ANYONE, but I knew if I just stuck with it, I would still get an amazing story no matter which way it went. (In an effort to not spoil this for other readers, I'm not even telling you what I mean by all of this lol, just know...some questions are answered, others are raised. Some people may die, whether they deserve to or not).

BLAZE by Alexandra Silva is just as intense as Burn and Scorch. I jumped right back in to the world Alexandra has created with these books. I was so exited to get more of Fleur! I really liked seeing the story and situations from Fleur and Casper's perspectives.They are so different than Cassie and Leo and Christopher and Arabella yet similar. The bond between them all is deep and strengthening with each book. We learn more about what is going on around them, who the players are and the story took turns I was not expecting at all. The little gift they receive was one of my favorite parts of the book. I'm such a sucker for a man and his little gift and boy did Casper make me swoon!

The whole cast of characters were there from the previous books. Their lives are so intertwined you really can't have one without the others. Some suspense, more secrets revealed and some seriously hot sexy times between Casper and Fleur were part of their journey.

Since finishing book 2 in the Virtues and Lies series by Alexandra Silva I have been not so patiently waiting for the story of Casper and Fleur!
Blaze landed on my kindle and I couldn’t wait to dive in.
Blaze begins with a prologue set back a few months from where Scorch ends, where Fleur realises you is pregnant. A shock to herself and to Casper and believe me when I say I love Casper; I really do but his reaction deserved at least a swift kick for his reaction to the news.
The story quickly unfolds bringing is back to the present where Casper is hiding a pregnant Fleur from their friends to keep her safe.
Fleur is a fierce, feisty and strong-willed character that believes Casper’s protection stops at her unborn child. But like any deadly assassin Casper keeps his feelings close to his chest hiding behind virtue’s and lies in the hope of protecting his family.
Blaze was an action-packed rollercoaster of a story full of suspense and twists and turns that had me hooked and feeling furious and utterly riveted as well as an emotional wreck at points too.
Alexandra’s poetic story telling is beyond comprehension. Her beautiful descriptions along with her beautiful words paint the full picture telling this amazing story.
Casper and Fleur are the perfect blend of darkness and their passion, bold personalities and strength.
Once again Alexandra has blown me away and left me hanging, chomping at the bit for Freddie’s story.

Every time I get a book by this author I know I am going to be in for a treat and Blaze certainly is that and more. Take a hefty dose of the Russian mafia, add an equal amount of ‘so called monsters’ aka family, then in the middle drop your unborn child and its mother and father and you have a recipe for excitement and adventure plus called ‘Blaze’.
I love the expressive and emotive vocabulary used in every story this author writes but this book has a tad more pizzazz and energy. Every emotion makes you feel a part of the book with the characters, going through every feeling with them, and every action. Heart hammering with fear one moment, the next, laughing along with the characters as well as the antics they got up to. Feeling the adoration between the lead characters, their raw and binding love fills your heart just like it does theirs, only quality writing can truly do this to a reader.
Casper and Fleur certainly go through many troubling times, as the mystery unravels more and more, but also times of profound beauty and deep love as well. I loved the way Fleur sassed Casper, her fiery nature demanding equal rights. Getting to know Casper better in this book we see a softer side rarely seen but one that almost takes your breath away.
I really liked how things didn’t slot into everything being A-Okay once things were ‘outed’ or discovered, in real life you need time to absorb things as these characters did too. Some great twists in the plot again, keeping everyone on their toes and now we’re so close to finding out everything. That ending was once again amazing and it had me sitting back with my mouth open like a fish out of water.
I totally recommend this story but if you haven’t read the first two books you need to or you won’t gain a full understanding of what is going on and they are 5 star reads as well. Bring on the next book!

Every now and again you come across a series that has you captivated - sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for each release, devouring each book and rereading in between - and Virtues and Lies is definitely one of those series! This latest instalment has an age gap, a kick ass heroine, a suspenseful plot, a sexy alpha male and a surprise pregnancy.... basically the story of “Big Man” and his “Trouble” is enthralling and you’ll be turning the pages long past bedtime.
If you’ve been reading the Virtues and Lies series, you’ll know that the end of Scorch saw revelations that left you reeling about Fleur’s family’s involvement in so many things that have caused immeasurable pain and created a whirlwind of lies and deceit. Sensing the risk that this leaves Fleur and his unborn child in, Casper’s ex military and protective instincts lead him to sweeping them away to escape the inevitable chaos that will ensue. Fleur is no delicate flower however, and her sassy, determined nature soon leads her to holding her own in this war that threatens everything they hold dear. They both face challenges that leave you sitting on the edge of your seat, frustrated, crying, angry, excited .... all the feels ❤️ But my absolute favourite part of this story is the love between Casper and Fleur and for their child.... plus Casper being all sexy protective alpha did not hurt in the slightest 🙊
Alexandra’s way with words always holds me captivated and this book is no different. This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Casper and Fleur’s story. Casper is ex-military who is ruthless and dark, but underneath he is vulnerable and possessive especially when it comes to Fleur and she has her own fair share of secrets namely about her family. We already know that these two were having an affair, but now they are faced with an unexpected consequence from their actions. This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster, and is filled with family drama, secrets, suspense, explosive chemistry, and is an action-packed riveting and steamy read. Hats off for this author, she just seems to get better and better, and this story is worth so much more that the 5-stars allowed. I cannot wait to read the next book in this phenomenal series, and I highly recommend this talented author’s work for all.

With each new book this series just gets better and better.The pace is fast and the storytelling is insanely good and written flawlessly. The connection between Casper and Fleur was everything they had me hooked from the start. The prologues the story goes all guns blazing in full on action and suspense. The story arc that carries on in all 3 boooks is intense and keeps you guessing. Twists and revelations mixed with a deep emotional love story. I knew what I was getting in Casper a ruthless protective alpha man but Fleur surprised me I never imagined she would turn out to be so strong. I was happy that we got alot of resolution and the epilogue set up the next book and all the turmoil we can expect.

Blaze has been on my anticipation list since Alexandria hinted at it in book two. Casper and Fleur’s story drew me in from the first and had my attention throughout. Their connection started as kids but Casper pushed Fleur away knowing she had the power to be his biggest weakness. Once he makes her his, there’s no going back and their connection gets deeper throughout the story. He will do anything to keep her safe, even teach her to kill to protect herself.
Angst, suspense and family drama all wrapped up in one amazing book! Each book of this series captures the reader’s attention and has a story line that keeps it. Casper and Fleur were amazing and the hint of Freddie and Georgina’s story leads me to believe we haven’t seen anything yet in this series.

This is probably my favorite book in this series. Fleur is such a strong, awesome woman and Casper is everything I'd want in a man. Their connection is undeniable. The twists and turns in the storyline were easy to follow in this book. What a cliffhanger though!

Yeah this is a series that I'll NEVER NOT once will get enough that's for sure. The amazingly talented Alexandra Silva pens these stories with everything my dark little soul loves and this series just gets better & better with each new book. Blaze comes out of the gate at a dead run with two intense prologues with the chemistry shooting sparks out of my kindle. Then, the action begins which kept me on the edge of my seat as Fleur & Casper get to it. He's ruthless when need be, but there's more to him than meets the eye. She's a complete bada** heroine who I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED! Together they were pure adrenaline magic, and that is one of the best parts. However, I did save the best (in my eyes anyway) are the f-bomb worthy twists that came in hot, and kept me dropping my favorite word which had been on hiatus since sports took a covid hiatus. Anyway, utter perfection is what Ms. Silva gave us, so buckle the hell up & click those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I needed a few minutes on a couple of occasions as I drew breath from the intensity, the twists, the burning up the sheets, the rawness of some of the events! This is a stand out, brilliant read that successfully combines romantic suspense with some harsh happenings, and a gorgeous, heartfelt and hard won romance! The tough Casper and the rapidly evolving, clever, strong Fleur, make for a sizzling, exciting combination which jumps off the page in ever increasing potency.
This is an absolute must read and I am hoping that Alexandra Silva's family get used to eating take aways as it's imperative that she finishes Freddie's story asap..then I will have the pleasure of reading the whole series again! 💖💖💖💖💖💖

There's a reason the titles of this series have fire as their monikers, they are all scorching hot stellar reads! And with BLAZE, Alexandra Silva has upped the ante yet again!
I didn't think she could top BURN and SCORCH, or make me love another two characters as much as I did first with Leo and Cassie and then with Christopher and Arabella. But she has done just that with Casper and Fleur. I'm now Team Trouble and Big Man all the way!
There's no gentle preparation for the emotion and action this book delivers, as this story dives straight back in where SCORCH left off. And if I had any criticism of this book, it's that you really do need to read them in succession to maintain the flow of the story, and keep up with who each of the players are. Unfortunately I hadn't, and as such it took me some time to draw on my recollections and piece together what was going on and where everyone fitted in.
But nothing takes away from Casper and Fleur.
They are at first the most unlikely match, but it's how they help each other grow as their love evolves that really makes story so special.
Casper, at first introduction was a cold character whose walls were seemingly impenetrable; a battle hardened soldier, a killer and by his own admission, a monster.
And yet so far from the truth.
He is loyal, possessive, and so drawn and connected to Fleur, his "Trouble" on a soul deep level, that it vibrates off the page, so good is the author at creating the imagery of this man.
Fleur too, is not the weak brat cowering beneath the evil shadow her father had her live under.
The resilient resplendent woman she becomes through this book is a staunch, protective, and fierce warrior. Her transformation perfectly depicted and it is any wonder Casper is so in awe of her.
The epic battle they wage, not only with one another, but with the forces that work so hard to tear them and their world apart, will keep you turning pages at the same break neck pace at which this story unfolds.
With the conclusion giving you ample satisfaction for this battle fatigued pair whilst also setting the stage for the fifth book in the series and what will be an explosive finale.

Wooaaaahhhh, with every book in this series I'm more and more captured by Alexandra Silva's words and excited what's going to happen next. Book 3 is Fleur and Casper's story and I love it so much.
We already know both and we already know about their "affair" and the unexpected result from it. Everything could be so easy if it weren't for Christopher and Leo and the fact Casper fears for Fleur's life. They have to run but can they hide?
I love how devoted Casper is to Fleur. He keeps his distance, but not because he doesn't want her, but to guarantee her safety. He wants her with every fiber of his body but she makes him weak. He appears always so calm and focused, but in reality he's not. And that's so adorable, like big bad boy adorable 😍.
Fleur was always tough but this new situation makes her even tougher. And even if I wanted for her to keep her "innocence", she had to harden herself to survive. She's intelligent and strong for her loved ones and the only thing she wants is to be loved by them to the same extend as she loves - limitless.
Fleur and Casper are amazing on their own, but together they are perfect!

Favorite one in the series, I love the passion in this book. Casper is so devoted to Fleur. He keeps his distance to keep her safe, even though he really wants to be with her. Fleur is pretty tough and this is no different, she is a rockstar. She had to hardern herself to survive. Together these two are hot, smoking hot!
This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster, and is filled with family drama, secrets, suspense, explosive chemistry, and is an action-packed riveting and steamy read.

I'll admit I haven't read the first two books of the series but I went with this one first because it mixed a lot of things I usually like in a novel:
💠 Antihero with a vendetta
💠 Surprise pregnancy
💠 Kickass heroine
💠 Age gap
💠 Royal crowns, blood and plots
💠 War
Obviously my eagerness to go straight to this book made me lose some basic knowledge about both the characters and the overall story (Actually, I had to start Burn to understand some of the dynamics between the characters) still I LOVED this book. It is everything it promises to be and then some.

Blaze is an unputdownable epic read. Just when I think Alexandra Silva slayed me with Christopher and Arabella she goes and out does herself. Casper and Fleur are hands down my favourite couple in the series. I completed this book in one sitting and I could not get enough of the pair. The journey they took me on blew my mind and I was so captivated. I love Casper but my girl crush is 💯 on Fleur. She is amazing! This is a must read.

I absolutely loved this book so hard!! Casper and Fleur were an epic couple. The chemistry between them is intense and Casper was just gah, I loved him. I was on the edge of my seat and flipping the pages so fast, to find out what would happen next in this book. It’s gripping, suspenseful, with twists, intrigue, drama, and it’s everything a romantic suspense should be. This is a definite must read book and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Dark, compelling, and absolutely phenomenal from the first chapter until the last. I was on the edge of my seat and could not turn the pages fast enough.
