Filthy is the first book in the The Five Points' Mob Collection, but not the universe. It’s an expansive world and I would suggest checking out the other book sin the series!Filthy is an incredibly romantic story, with a slew of tropes that always pull me in. Mafia men. Age gap. Billionaires. Dirty talk. And most of all, a grumpy powerful man who melts at the thought of one very special lady.It’s the tale of Finn O'Grady, an Irish mobster who encounters a fiery redhead who not only catches his salacious stare but eventually his indomitable heart. This old school Irish lass is bright, warm, and independent, though her life changes the day Finn walks into her shop.Aoife (ee-fah) finds herself swiftly captivated by Finn’s attention and ultimately his obsessive devotion to this younger woman whom he does not recall meeting many years before. Aoife remembers the encounter very well, but decides to keep it a secret, along with a few other details. But his perilous world is a constant reminder of the danger a woman may find herself in if they were to become entangled with a mafia man. But that nor anything else seems to come between the fated lovers.This book gives the reader a preview of the O'Donnelly clan, a group of men who make up the rest of the The Five Points' Mob Collection, and eventually the women who wrangle and capture their hearts.The spice and dirty talk are topnotch, but there is so much more to this book than just the love story.     I am so enamored of Finn! Filthy is such a great story and the perfect introduction to the Filthy Feckers/Five Points universe! Oh, Serena Akeroyd knows how to create the perfect hero! Finn is YUMMY!

    So, confession time here: I didn’t exactly ready Filthy in order. Please, no judgment. You see, when I came to discover Serena Akeroyd and her wonderful characters, this story, originally published as the Screw You/Screw Me duet (and later as The Air He Breathes), I placed it on my TBR. Then I started reading the Satan’s Sinners MC that intersects with this series at different plot points but I wasn’t able to get back to it until recently.

    Now I can’t believe I waited so long. Finn is fantastic. He is equal parts dark, dangerous, cocky, self-assured, sexy and sumptuous. In essence, Finn is your ultimate walking, talking, sex on a stick book boyfriend. I love that Aofie describes him as a satisfied puma. He totally gives off the sensual predator vibe.

    And Aoife is so sweet. She is seemingly innocent and kind, but also stubborn and strong. I love that she’s one of those heroines that doesn’t fit the typical mold. She’s curvy and bold. And I love her quirky sense of humor. I mean, she described herself as plump prey and then calls herself out on the thought.

    The heat between these two is instantaneous! I mean, combustible level heat and steam. I already said Finn is sexy AF. Well, for Finn, Aoife is his kryptonite. She’s exactly what gets him hot and bothered. And this, my friends, leads to incredibly steamy scenes.

    This story has it all! Action, sex, fantastic characters, great dialogue, an intriguing plot, and most of all…heart! I feel like I understand Finn and Aofie so much better now! I’d gotten to know them peripherally in Filthy Rich (Eoghan’s book) and Filthy Dark (Declan’s book). But now…oh Finn! (I’m still totally a Declan girl!)

    So my recommendation: read this book! Whether you are starting fresh with this series or, like me, you might have gone a little out of order, you need to get to know Finn and Aofie. This series is incredible and Filthy is the perfect way to get started with this story.

    P.S. I also recommend the Satan’s Sinners MC series to get the full experience.

    The story / plot and world building is very good. I always feel strange writing that for a darker themed story, but Serena Akeroyd doesn’t rush the action. She took the time to let us get to know the characters, some of the flaws, strengths, background, and how their world functions - good and bad - which made their story come to life through scenes and multiple POVs.

    Since I love a bad boy / girl that is willing to do anything to care for those he / she loves, I highly enjoyed it, and I have no issue ignoring any questions I may have from a couple of scenes. I am ever hopeful that since the series is ongoing and interwoven with another that all of those and others that I haven’t even thought of yet will be addressed later.

    Finn is a bad boy that is a computer nerd at heart ❤️, who has a genius for making and laundering money for his chosen father’s criminal organization (aka Five Points Irish mob). He was taken in by his best friend’s family and raised as one of their own. Finn joined the ranks and moved up quickly. Now he was tasked with acquiring property so they could build and develop an upscale community. There was just one problem … a stubborn little Irish lass with curves designed to drive him mad.

    Aoife owned and operated a tearoom that she started with her mother. Her heart wasn’t really in this business, but she wasn’t going to give it up, she couldn’t. It was hard enough to get up every morning to get things ready. She really missed her mom. It has been 7 long months, but it was her mom’s dream since she was a girl. Too bad Acuig kept trying and tempting her with increasing offers, the latest 10% over market value. Then after they closed, but before they locked the door, the most handsome man Aoife had ever seen entered. Too bad he would only be interested in her BFF that looked like a supermodel …

    After seeing her picture and having Aoife followed for a few months, Finn knew it was time to handle things himself and he had just the information. If she wouldn’t sell willingly, then he would force her to, or he would expose her lover … the thought of her with a lover other himself tasted like ashes to him … maybe he could change that as part of the deal …

    I read this book because the teaser was put at the end of another duet I read. At first, I wasn't sure I would read much more, as romance isn't usually my genre, but I couldn't get the opening of this out of my head! After a while, I just had to read it. And, man, I am glad I did! Aoife's strength of character made me hoot as she interacted with the brothers. Finn overcoming his guilt was great. And the steamy scenes were on fire. Ooh la la! While it definitely isn't for everyone, it was a lot of fun for me!
