    Frickin' loved this story of Brennan and Camille...5+ stars....without proir knowledge both Brennan and Camille want to marry the other. Not for love but as part of a promise and protection. As Brennan digs deeper into the New World Sparrows, it seems they have more people than was known and when one is practically family, Brennan loses his shit. Camille is trying to be everything he needs while rebuilding a relationship with her sisters. Things come to a head when Camille and Victoria are taken.

It moves along at a pace perfect for reading, not too fast nor too slow. You will fall in love with the characters and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. This book is a must read, no doubt about it, you will not be sorry.

    A promise made is a promise kept. Who would've thought it would end up in a marriage of convenience. Brennan knew he had to make good on his promise and ended up with a wife that has a bit more of a bite then he expected. This book is a must read if you've followed the Filthy Boys,if you haven't then start at the beginning ❤ you won't be disappointed.

    This one was a bit harder to get through. It's a long read. Brennan is an Alpha protector. He set his sights on Camille as she does the same. To keep her safe. A lot happens in this one. Lots of betrayals, a new enemy murder, abduction, and lots left unanswered. The subjects are dark. Be warned. But it's worth it, the adventure continues!

    I like this author and the family and world she’s created in this story. I really liked the characters in this story what didn’t work for me was the excessive descriptions especially in the first half of the book…descriptions about settings, I felt things were repetitive and it was a detriment to the plot. I find the crescendo happens at about 85% and 15% is not enough time in my opinion to wrap things up nicely. But…I will still probably read the next book.

    I do NOT consider these to be stand-alone reads, as there are reoccurring characters, overlapping timelines, and overlapping themes. I HIGHLY advise these be read in the author’s recommended order, as there are two different series that are intertwined; The five Points’ Mob and the Dark and Dirty Sinners MC.

    CAUTION: There are multiple warnings listed below. If you have triggers or find certain material offensive, then it is important that you review all of them before purchasing.

    ** If you have not read any of the previous stories in the two series, then the following may contain spoilers **

    Contains referenced or detailed scenes with the following: adult language, derogatory terms in relation to women (and some men), steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, breath play, knife play, sensory deprivation, voyeurism, spanking and assault, as well as violence with kidnapping, abduction, murder, assault, rape, torture, betrayal, harassment, stalking, and mental, physical and sexual child abuse.

    There are also mental health themes of anxiety, depression, suicide, body dysmorphia, cutting, etc.

    Grammar: There are a few grammatical issues, primarily missing and extra inserted words. The problem for me was with the non-US based words and phrases used mainly overseas such as in Europe and Australia. I am trying to mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, as with every error or unfamiliar phrase, it interrupts the flow.

    I am fully engrossed in these dark themed, gritty and violent stories. The threads between the two series I am sure is painful to plot and weave, but it brings everything to life. There are always several open items left start the next. I am learning that bits and pieces that I am have questions about, or feel that haven’t been answered, were left that way intentionally. So the few that I have with this one, I am confident will be addressed in another one soon. I love Brennan and wished more would have been shared about the physical abuse he suffered from his father and her life at the MC. Although Brennan knew she wasn’t “shared among the bikers” as typical clubw40r3s have been, it would have been nice if a scene was included to confirm her lack of experience.

    This story focuses on Brennan, the second oldest son of Aiden Sr., and Cammie, aka Camille, the oldest daughter of the Russian Pahkan, that would have been forced to marry one of her father’s advisors if she hadn’t ran away. To protect herself she ended up joining the other females servicing the Sinners’ clubhouse and became Nyx’s main squeeze for her time there. Cammie only left after Nyx found his Old Lady and her father was kneecapped.

    Cammie came back home and her father tried picking up where he left off by marrying her off to his advisor, an older, dirty, pudgy, disgusting excuse for a human. She was prepared to do what was necessary to make sure that didn’t happen, as Cammie knew she wouldn’t be able to run away twice. Her only hope to save herself was if Brennan takes her offer. She decided to go for a ride, something she had missed while she was with the Sinners.

    Brennan was the “go to” guy for his family. He was bound and determined to keep his promise to Mariska, Cammie’s mother. The two of them had been lovers when he was younger and she had made him promise to look out for her girls. Brennan lived by a code of honor that demanded that he do everything he could to fulfill his promise, something that he didn’t give lightly. Since Cammie returned to the city, he has had her under surveillance. Finally he got word that she had went to the stables.

    Brennan was determined to pick his own wife after the debacle with his brother Eoghan and his arranged marriage. Fortunately it had turned out great with the two of them falling in love, but Brennan wasn’t going to allow that to happen to him. Lord only knows who his da would want to garner a business relationship with next, maybe even their mortal enemy, the Italian mafia. All he had to do was convince Cammie and he could kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Imagine his surprise when after his arrival, she proposes to him!

    After reading the first three books you would, understandably, expect either the same quality or for it to be better.

    It would be a sad day of Serena didn't keep her usual high standards, by ensuring that happened.

    Plus if you've been reading the Sinner series as well, it's ok not to just expect it, but to demand it really.

    So did she manage that with this book?!?!

    Did you NOT notice the five stars at the beginning.....sheesh

    Serena not only maintained her usual standards, but blew this book out of the ball park!! Yes it's just that good.

    Regardless of how their relationship begins, it doesn't take long before Brennan and Camille, slowly start to have feelings for each other.

    Aiden Sr, isn't happy at the fact that Brennan married her. In fact both his parents actually told them not to turn up for the Sunday roast, which is gathering of the family you don't dare miss!! On pain of a beating should they not be there, straight after church.

    So yes, upset might be a tad bit understated, but it was to be expected that they'd be angry and hurt.

    Add to that, betrayal within the ranks, both high and low. Kidnappings, torture, rats including one that truly came as a surprise.

    Also murder and the unexpected and yet very funny castration of some one. Deaths are delivered, and agreements are made. With all of that, how could you not enjoy this book!!

    Trust me when I say you'll love this book.

    But do you also want something that will bring the story and characters alive, while you're reading it??

    Then my advice is to buy the audio book along with the ebook, so you can listen to the amazing Connor Crais and Samantha Cook.

    Both narrator's did an excellent job in bringing all of the characters to life and helping you to really envision just who Brennan and Camille are, as single entities, until they evolved into a strong, supportive and loving couple.

    Now fighting for each other as a united front. As opposed to two singles fighting just for themselves or their family. While also giving voice and personality to all the other supporting characters.

    They both......Connor and Samantha, (not Brennan and Camille).....work flawlessly together as they tell the story from beginning to end!!

    So if you want something to read and listen to, this is the book and audio that you need to buy.

    Well then off you go and buy them both as I recommend 100%
