If you have read Acer, the previous book in the Kent Brothers series, you were eagerly waiting for Raiden release like me. I was so excited to read this novel and it did meet my expectations.
Scottie is an ex DEA agent now working for WI. One day she is assigned to help the Kent brothers with their latest software and when she goes to their office and she meets Raiden she instantly is attracted to him. Raiden can't believe to stay in the same office with a woman as beautiful as Scottie. The chemistry between them is scorching hot but when they decide to act on that their lives are disrupt by explosions, gunfires, escapes.
Will they survive and get their happily ever after?
A. M. Hargrove confirmed her abilities to write a thrilling and suspenseful story that holds the reader with baited breath from begin to end.
I highly recommend to read it and I'm so curious to get the last book in this series.

After reading the Acer the first book in the Kent Brothers series I was eagerly awaiting the next book as the bad guys still hadn't been caught and I need to know a lot more.
Though this book is a love story between Scottie a brilliant and intelligent ex DEA agent and Raiden Kent a software developer it is also an edge of your seat thriller that moves along at a very fast pace.
Raiden wants to protect the hot sexy woman who shares his bed even though he knows that Scottie is better able to protect him and herself. As the attacks against the Kent Family and the team from WI Security ramp up a dangerous plan is hatched and Scottie leaves to do the work she has trained for.
As the story goes along it becomes more nerve wracking, as Raiden and Scottie have to pit their wits against the evil coming to get them. They work well as a team even if they have to keep sneaking off for some private time now and then.
If you love an exciting thriller then this is the one for you the storyline is totally believable in this world of the dark web and cyber crime and made me a bit nervous to think who and what is really out there. I was happy that it was not quite as bone chilling as Acer but it is a close second. I thought that there were maybe too many sex scenes in the book and while not taking anything away from the story it was maybe a bit overdone as by then the scorching hot chemistry between these two was obvious.
The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I am now wondering if there will be a new one featuring the third brother Cruze. I would advise anyone wanting to read this book to read Acer first as this is a continuation of the story that started in Acer.

Ok....so this is hard to write, because I have loved every one of her books, but this book wasn’t my favorite of this series or by AM Hargrove.
I loved the storyline....all the drama, suspense and action had me turning the pages because I was dying to find out what happened.
What I wasn’t sold on was the connection between Scottie & Raiden. I think their connection was over powered by all the sexual content. Towards the end of the book the characters were in what I’d call an intense situation and all of sudden Scottie and Raiden were escaping to have sex. I just thought that wasn’t necessary or believable. Some of the sex scenes could’ve been left out and maybe they could’ve explored their pasts and feelings a little more. That of course is just my opinion. To me the sexy times slowed down the flow of the story.
Now with that said....I still truly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in this series. I can’t wait to see what happens with Cruze.

I think if Acer isn’t read prior to this book, the reader could get lost and lose interest. But again that is just my suggestion!!

If you love a great romantic suspense novel, then this is one you will want to read. A.M. Hargrove is a master at the romantic suspense novel. Her writing is superb and will have the reader hanging on until the last word!!

Raiden and Scottie's story was a great story that left me on the edge of my seat while reading. I loved that Scottie was the former DEA and such a strong woman and ultimately rescuing him. I felt the issues they were dealt were handled in a very realistic manner that truly pulled on normal human feelings.

Intense. Captivating. Action packed. Suspenseful. Addicting. Steamy. Intense. Raiden is all of that and more! The moment I started reading this book I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next and was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Scottie is an ex-DEA agent and is now working at WI. There is a lot more to her story than I was expecting, but it just made me like her more. She is a BA, she is strong, a survivor, a fighter and can hold her own. Raiden is strong, demanding, an alpha through and through. The moment Scottie and Raiden meet there is chemistry and they are drawn to each other.
This story is intense and I LOVED every single moment of it. I loved the chemistry between Scottie and Raiden. They are both strong characters, however, they really balance each other out. This enjoyable action romance has Scottie Sullivan saving the day as Wolfe Investigations try to find an Irish mob boss/drug lord before he kills more people. Scottie is a former DEA Agent turned investigator now working for Wolfe Investigations, and let me tell you, she was one baddazz woman, she wasn’t afraid of anything, or anyone, apart from possibly Raiden. Raiden brought out feelings in Scottie that she didn’t want or need. I loved that Scottie was so strong-willed and capable, and that Raiden, although at times frustrated with her no holds barred attitude, accepted that she knew how to handle herself (although yes he did go a little alpha on her occasionally, causing more than one disagreement). The chemistry between the two was combustible, and did at times take over everything. Their focus however was always on catching the illusive bad guy, and I will say, he was completely evil, horrid and vindictive. Non stop action, at times hard to keep up with, I had to concentrate and keep my eye on the ball just to keep up. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

The second book in the Kent Brothers series. When I read Acer’s book and the rest of the Kent bros were sort of introduced, I knew I wanted their story! This book is about Raiden and Scottie. Scottie is an ex DEA agent recruited to Wolfe Investigations and the Kent brothers team up to take and really bad people off the street.
This was really fast paced romantic suspense, with intense moments and really hot chemistry! When Raiden loves, he loves really hard and Scottie is the missing piece in his life. I’m really curious about the rest of the Kent brothers. I’m hoping we get their story soon.

Scottie’s career in law enforcement has transitioned into her job at Wolfe Investigations. She is strong, fierce and able to take care of herself. Her latest assignment finds her at Kent Enterprises where she soon proves her IT skills are second to none which only makes her that much more attractive to Raiden.

As the danger around them escalates so does the chemistry but once everything comes to a crescendo will they be able to emerge with their lives and each other?

A .M. Hargrove is a new author to me and how I have not come across her before I have absolutely no idea. From the first to the last chapter I was hooked and on the edge of my seat whilst reading this story.
The connection between Scottie and Raiden is intense and their chemistry is off the charts. Scottie is such a strong, feisty and sassy woman who doesn’t back down. The angst that she brings to Raiden’s life was immense, always prepared to put herself in danger, she made it hard for Raiden and tough decisions needed to be made.
I loved these characters and I was fully invested in their story. I cannot wait to read more from this author and will certainly be looking at her other books as soon as time permits.

Wow! This book is intense and moves as fast as the newest Netflix action movie!! I was a little apprehensive to start Raiden because I wasn’t sure if I could handle the same darkness the Acer was. But Raiden is so suspenseful and quick to read that I couldn’t put it down. Raiden and Scottie are fire together! Smart and fierce chemistry make them a force to be reckoned with. With the addition of their families, there are small glimpses of humor and normalcy that ground this fiery story.
I honestly couldn’t get enough of Raiden and Scottie. It’s 0 to 60 in the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down.

This is a new author to me and I am blown away by her writing style. Suspense, intrigue and drama what more could a story ask for?! The story is fast-paced and action-packed and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Raiden is all sexy and alpha while Scottie is super intelligent yet vulnerable. Raiden tries to tame Scottie because he doesn’t want to see her in danger but there is no taming Scottie. This book is full of suspense, twists and turns and of course chemistry so sizzling it sets the pages on fire. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!

There are days that you get up from bed but you don’t want to. To face routine again and again, with nothing new on the horizon.
This pandemic has taken us back and forth with all the dangers and rules.
I was having a bad day, and just seeing this book waiting for me made my day.
AM Hargrove has that effect on me. Her books have the ability to make me dream and feel things go in a different way.
Just see for yourself and let me know.

Now she works for a private investigations company and needs to be her best self.
This new investigation started bumpily and now…
After the abduction of one of his brothers, Raiden, with his other brother, developed a software that was able to help locate thir missing brother.
It was a long shot but they made it work.
Now, working side by side with an investigation company, they unite forces to help more people.
What he wasn’t counting on was Scottie.
And amazing… Like I knew it would be.
Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense.
The mystery was there as well as the suspense and crime.
I got scared for the characters in some parts of the book.
It was that great.
This lady does know how to hook us up in a sec.
Once the book started, the need to know more increased and I couldn’t stop.
I was mad every single time I had to stop reading to do other things, like eating, bathing, and sleep.
Who needs that?
The unknown, the mystery, the suspense was very present in each chapter as well as desire, love, and loyalty.
Dayum… Some of the hot scenes are to die for.
Overall, it was an amazing book, with all the components of a masterpiece.

This book keeps you on the edge holding your breath to find out what comes next. Raiden and Scottie are great characters. The secondary characters are wonderful also. Can't wait for Cruze's story.

From the beginning there was a big chemistry between Raiden and Scottie, and they didn’t try to deny it. I love that the author didn’t drag out their fire and the characters went for their chemistry.
There was also a type of suspense and mystery in the book that made it even more interesting and enjoyable to read. I loved how all the secrets unfolded in perfect pace.
Great book that I recommend everyone to read.

This second installment is about Scottie and Raiden. Scottie and Raiden are strong people with even stronger personalities. Scottie is a former DEA Agent and has a devastating secret that changed the course of her life. She’s been recruited to work for Drex and in turn, is asked to work with the Kent Brothers on an investigation where she meets Raiden. Unfortunately, their past trouble (Acer’s book) has not gone away and has become a serious threat to everyone involved.
Raiden is a bit of a player but once he sees Scottie, he is instantly attracted to her. Raiden and Scottie but heads when it comes to Scottie’s safety. Raiden is a natural protector and it takes him a while to realize Scottie can protect herself. Our couple struggle with this issue and worry that maybe they are not meant to be. Scottie and Raiden are explosive together and the sex is off the charts hot!

I loved these characters and I was fully invested in their story. I cannot wait to read more from this author and will certainly be looking at her other books as soon as time permits.

Raiden and Scottie are working together. The danger keeps coming and so does the attraction. There is so many twists and turns and trying to stay ahead of the danger. Can Raiden and Scottie get together in all this action? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Amazing book.

5 So Many Secrets and Twisty Turns Stars!!!
I’ve been looking forward to Raiden’s book since I finished Acer and while the wait was a little agonizing it was worth it because Raiden and Scottie are ON FIRE!!! Not only with their ability to work a web of secrets and suspense, but their chemistry is almost incendiary!
Scottie joins the firm that the Kent Brothers created and run and they’re on a mission to break a mob syndicate. But it’s not going to be easy especially when it becomes very personal!! Add in the sizzling chemistry and this is a book that kept me captivated from beginning to end.
I loved how Ms. Hargrove built this story and literally gave me heart palpitations at different points. There’s a darkness these two are working against and they’ll do anything necessary to protect the ones they love and those they’re trying to rescue… they’ll leave no stone unturned even if it may bring harm to them personally…to say the stakes are high is putting it mildly!
I love Scottie so much! She’s a strong, intelligent independent woman that goes after what she wants both professionally and personally. And I think this is what drew Raiden in too. He knew she wouldn’t be one of these clingy women that he regrets taking home with him!! And oh how alpha and swoony Raiden is!! I mean he knows what he wants, he likes to be in control and he’s definitely met his match with Scottie!!
This book moves at a fast pace but isn’t short on action, adventure, suspense or tension! There were moments where I wasn’t sure I’d be able to continue reading because I was certain something was going to go horribly wrong!!
Needless to say, when I turned the last page, it’s clear there’s so much more to come from this series and I’ll be first in line for the next book!!!

Raiden is only the second book by A. M. Hargrove I've read so i somehow missed out on the previous book in the this series, Acer. While I wish I'd read the previous book as it appears Acer went through some $×!+ in his book, I was easily able to keep up with this standalone novel.
Scottie is an ex DEA agent whose recently taken a new job with Weber Investigations. Upon meeting Raiden, she realizes the benefits package has a LOT more to offer than advertised. The two are instantly and insanely attracted to one another and quickly know it'll never be a one night thing. As the company investigates the notorious criminal behind all that Acer endured, Scottie and everyone Raiden loves are under constant threat. The one thing that might break them is Raiden's difficulty in accepting the danger involved in Scottie's position. As a type A, alpha guy, he has difficulty watching his woman step in to have to protect herself, him and all those around the case.
These two set the office on fire with their chemistry. I appreciated the suspense in this story and the danger kept the story moving. It's unusual but I'd almost say the sex was a little too frequent as it tended to overtake the story a little. It just seems highly unlikely that people in mortal danger are going to sneak away for a happy ending THIS often. Otherwise the story was good and im most intrigued by the next story in the series!

It’s a paging-turning suspense that sizzles with action and hairpin curves. It’s a thrilling, blisteringly smart romance. And it’s sexy. With an edgy unforgettable alpha—Raiden oof!—and Scottie is so intelligent yet vulnerable. I loved it. This is no slow burn perfection. Hargrove wastes no time setting up the stakes for this mysterious romance. I loved that Scottie has secrets and that Raiden and she try to resist but Hargrove doesn’t linger over backstory or set up. She dives right in and I was so happy reading this story. It’s an intense romance and this pair burned up the pages. Whew!
Raiden Kent, I would hire you to protect me in an instant! His dedication to his job is only exceeded by his love for Scottie and his romantic soul. Scottie has surely met the man of her dreams, even if she has to keep her affections for that dreamy man on the down low because of the massive stakes in this thriller.

NOT ONE WRITER DOES WHAT A.M HARGROVE DOES ! I AM OBSESSED WITH THE KENT BROTHERS !!
this is not just another romance she has a way of writing somthing that in comparison is like the most edge of your seat thriller action movie combined with the sweets yet sexiest romance mixed together . The story line and characters are fully developed but also not dragging this story flows the only way to read it is to devour it ! It consumes you one page after another . Raiden this super smart sexy as sin alpha meets the one thing he cannot control in his match scottie they come together like an inferno ! And you never know if they will both survive scottie is a fierce woman who can not only protect herself but her man to . Shes a survivor and hes her 2nd chance she never saw coming . If you have read more of a.m Hargroves work you'll see we had some beloved characters from her other books in this one and I loved seeing them again and the dynamic it gave to this story will make it hard to top ! Hands down one of my favorite reads in 2020 !!

Intense Read
First and foremost. Thank you Annie for writing such a beautiful book, packed with action, love, drama, and a strong woman lead and a very alpha male that loves her and even though he’s not happy about her being in danger, he supports her.
Scottie is a bad @ss! It has to be said, she’s brave and will do anything to keep the ones she loves. Raiden, he’s an alpha male thru and thru, he is possessive of Scottie and gets mad every time she puts her life at risk he wants to tame her but soon realizes that she can’t be tamed and that’s something he’s got to accept if he wants to be part of her life.
This book if full of action, angst, nerve wrecking, it has lots of twists and turns that will have your stomach in knots.
It’s action packed from the very first page. I love the Kent brothers and Raiden is by far my favorite, he’s sexy as hell and him and Scottie will burn yo your kindle with their love making scenes!!! Annie has done it again! This series is to die for, literally. This is book 2 of the Kent brother series, and if miss Acer and Isla they will be making appearances in this book. The Irish Mob is involved in drugs, human trafficking, and more. Fighting against them is the government and partners including Wolfe investigations and Kent Software. Scottie is a former DEA agent hired by WI for her expertise in these areas. She is also asked to work with Kent to lend her expertise to help them on a software program to assist in human trafficking. She is warned by WI that the Kent Brothers are lady killers, but she claims she is immune. Raiden and Scottie are immediately attacked to one another and it doesn't take long for fireworks to begin. At the office, they receive two suspicious packages. Raiden open one to find a bomb going off. Fortunately it was not wired correctly and they are injured but not killed. So begins the next chapter of the good guys vs the mob. What happens next is full of action, drama, battles, and victory. Will good overcome evil? What happens to the relationship between Raiden and Scottie?

5 gripping stars!!
What a ride I have been on!! I loved everything about this book! The characters. The plot. The thrill of the danger. The excitement. I just love, love, loved it!!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the gripping story, it pulled me in from the very beginning. The plot was fast-paced and exciting, it never let up for one minute.
I love a good read that pulls me in from the beginning and keeps me there until the last page, wishing for more and RAIDEN has this in spades.
I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you enjoyed ACER then you’re gonna love RAIDEN. My nerves were on high alert, the adrenaline pumping so hard I couldn’t read fast enough. There was so much going on with the main characters, as well the secondary ones, that the story just whizzed past and suddenly I’m at the end, feeling like I’ve been hit with a ten tonne truck.
This series just gets better and better...I can not WAIT to read Cruze’s story!!

A.M. Hargrove put the pedal to the metal from the jump in Raiden's story, and it never slowed down either. Former DEA agent, Scottie, came into Raiden's life in the best of ways because she's a bada** heroine that delighted me to no end, especially with her brilliance. The moment they met the sparks exploded out of my kindle like the 4th of July. That chemistry they have won't be denied, and when they give into it, Raiden's protective instincts kick in, though most likely she would protect him better than he her. Man this story was amazing & exciting (yes I know I'm gushing but this story totally brings it out of me). There are twists upon turns upon twists that kept my head spinning, loud f-bombs dropping, and heart racing until the very end. The excitement edge of my seat goodness is leveled up, and hell, there's plenty of angst for all you drama llamas. I CANNOT WAIT for the next book and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

If you’re a lover of romance, suspense, angst, sexiness and a overall awesome story, this book is for you! This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Raiden Kent is the hot, sexy, noncommittal type. He and his brothers own and operate a very lucrative company, Kent Software. A recent job with DEA, Scottie Sullivan had them calling for her cyber intelligence. She left her job at the DEA to work at Kent Software. Scottie is beautiful and super smart but not so lucky in past relationships. When she and Raiden meet, the air crackles with so much sexual electricity. Sparks fly is the bedroom as well 🥰. As they grow closer, so does the danger of the O’Brien Irish Mob. This book was so good! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did! Congratulations to Hargrove on this amazing book!

Raiden by A.M. Hargrove is the second book in the The Kent Brothers series and it was AMAZING! Even though it can be read as a stand-alone, I do recommend reading the first book as well.
I honestly couldn’t wait to get my hands on Raiden’s story. I knew I was going to love it, but I had no idea how much. This book was steamy, full of action, and of course had a beautiful love story. The writing was fabulous and as always the characters captured my heart and wouldn’t let go!
Raiden and Scottie were two incredible characters. Their chemistry was hot as hell from the minute they met. I seriously loved every single thing about them-Raiden with his alpha-ness and Scottie with her determination to be successful. When you take explosive chemistry and throw in some danger-you have one helluva story that you cannot put down! Highly recommend reading this book!

Romance & Suspense - my favorites in a book!! And Raiden was filled with nail bitting suspense and unbridled passion!!
I’m rating this book 4.5 stars! It was a steady read with suspense that left me wanting more. I liked Raiden & Scottie as a couple, but they’re not my favorite. Definitely a lot of chemistry and passion between the two; although, I felt like it may have overpowered the storyline a few times. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the passion and a lot of it!!
I have enjoyed reading the Kent Brothers, and I’m looking forward to Cruze’s story next. I was left with heart ache of a different kind, but that is all I’m going to say about that! Annie sure knows how to write those awesome epilogues!! Yes, there is an HEA if you’re worried about that.
