A book hoarder and coffee addict at heart Anna's main existence in life is to create beautiful words about exquisitely flawed characters. She's a slow burn Princess and all about working for that happy ever after, but she guarantees when you get it, you'll fall so hard you might never want to surface again.

Be prepared to oooh and aaah and squeal with delight as Anna takes you on a journey you are unlikely to forget.

Anna lives in Surrey, the UK, with her husband and three children. She happiest writing (thinking of ways to make you swoon), drinking coffee and snuggling up on the sofa in the evenings for a binge of her favourite shows or reading in bed. She loves to chat with her readers on social media so if you love the words come and find her, she sure loves to talk.

This is love story that will pull at your heart strings. Lyra & Blue (Jack) grew up next door to each other and he was her brothers best friend until one day Blue disappeared without a word to Lyra.

Lyra spent the last four years mourning blue not knowing if he was alive, Blue has spent the last four years trying to escape the place he calls home, She's the past he's trying to forget.

Lyra is granted a music scholarship and she isn't keen to take it but she sets out to fulfill a promise she made to Blue years ago.

When she arrives at college they see each other after four years, Things have changed. Once he was her brother’s best friend. Now she’s his student.

But some things never change... can they resist one another, or will the call of their twisted love story finally break them both?

Anna Bloom wrote a beautiful story and this is my first read by this author. It is the first book in a duet. The other side of green is part 2 and will be released in Feb 21

It was just alot of round and round. Lyra is a mess not a good one I skipped most of the book because it would repeat itself anyway.
I didn't find anything interesting about her. Blue was not it for me either it was just off putting. Some of it was good I still finished the book but there was no real depth too the story I gave 3 stars so I'm still hoping it gets better in the next book

I don't know why this was on my tbr pile for so long because when I started to read, I just couldn't stop. I could totally feel like Lyra, hoping and wishing but also feeling her frustration. The chemistry between her and Jack aka Blue is intense and I'm going on reading the next book right now.

The Other Side of Blue by Anna Bloom is the First book in The Other Side of US. This starts the story of Lyra Lennox and Jack Cross 'Blue'. Lyra has always loved Blue but she was the younger sister. Now in their present day they meet again and Lyra finds that her feelings are the same but Jack now seems to have moved on with his life in a different directions. This book does take you on an emotional journey that does leave us waiting for the next installment. Enjoyed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, enthralling page turner. Loved this!

What a book, Jack and Lyra have stolen a piece of my heart. I loved it, I couldnt put it down (well apart from for some much needed sleep!)

This is an age gap, taboo, brothers best friend slow burn love story, but it is so much more than that. Lyra has been in love with Jack (Blue) for as long as she can remember, but him being her brothers best friend and six years older means she is off limits.  When he leaves home without a word Lyra is heartbroken, but four years later when they unexpectedly meet again, Blue is not her sweet friend from next door, he's rude, abrasive, cold and distant. Blue is gone, there is only Jack.....and he's her tutor.

This book.... wow I was gripped from the start, told in dual pov I loved both these characters. They were both damaged and had so much to overcome individually, but you just knew they would be stronger together. Anna Bloom has written a fabulous story full of intrigue, emotion, secrets, lies, twists and turns, with a few sensitively written, difficult but very relevant subjects that drew me in, at times took my breath away and kept me turning the pages.  With flashbacks to the past where we learn the origins of their strong connection, these two have such a spark between them. Jack however has so much to hide. Will revealing it all break them both?

That jaw dropping ending has thrown me for a loop and I cannot wait for the conclusion to this beautiful, passionate but heartbreaking, gut wrencher of a story!

4.0 out of 5 stars unexpected twists & secrets

Lyra has loved Jack for as long as she could remember. Jack was Lyra's brother's friend and the boy next door until he left town. Years later fate brings them back together and the spark is still there. The Other Side of Blue is Jack (Blue) and Lyra's story and it is packed with emotion, angst, unexpected twists, secrets, and a beautiful love story. After that ending I can't wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next for Lyra and Jack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blue is most definitely the colour of a gorgeous love story

Whenever you read an Anna Bloom book, you know your heart is going to ache and every single one of your emotions will be pushed to the limit. The Other Side of Blue is no exception. It has the beautifully haunting prose that has Anna’s signature all over it and flawed characters who push their way into your heart, determined to never leave.
Lyra and Blue’s chemistry is palpable, but the slow burn of their relationship manages to build up to a crescendo of sheer joy. One that almost had me singing ‘hallelujah’. Their exchanges were hot, sexy and edgy, and if nothing else proved they were meant to be together.
Lyra’s character was idealistic but spirited and was the perfect foil for the broken and bitter Blue. Each time they were on the page together I felt my heart breaking a little more for them. Ironically, as mine broke it was clear that Blue’s was slowly mending and that was one of the things I loved about this book. Anna’s care and attention were with her characters, they were the ones who needed to heal, not the reader. We had to deal with however they got there because nothing about this book was generic or expected the path followed was the one right for them. Anna also touched on some quite controversial issues that are relevant in the current climate. While she did this with sensitivity, she didn’t labour the point. She still gave us the message loud and clear in a way that only someone who has truly crafted their art could do.
I loved Blue and Jack, understanding each piece of his personality and why he was no longer the boy next door. Even when he was being Jack, Anna gave us tiny glimpses of goodness. Teasing us that if we were patient enough to scratch the surface inch by inch, Blue would be revealed. When he was a totally sexy, sweet, caring, intensely brooding hero is gifted to us.
As for the cliffhanger at the end, well it was one hell of a plot twist, yet it didn’t feel out of place or like it had been added for effect. It was the perfect end to part one.
In short, I would definitely recommend The Other Side of Blue and urge you to prepare for a love story that will make your heart ache.
