I can't believe this is the end of Fragile Hearts Series, these characters have stolen my heart since the first book, all the stories have been very moving, they have broken my heart, but they have also healed with love what is in them, this series is definitely on my favorites, and I think Fragile Pieces is the perfect closing for the series, with a story full of misunderstandings, wrong decisions and an epic love story.
With this book I finally had the opportunity to meet Gabe, who I already liked after his appearance in the other books, but after reading him as the main character I fell in love with him from the first page. He’s a man who has lived with a broken heart for several years, has physical and emotional scars that prevent him from being interested in love, but he has proven to be an unconditional friend to Jax and Damian, in addition, throughout this book I read him as one of the cutest and most tender male characters in the world, with a great capacity to love and accept his mistakes and responsibilities. I also got to see a side of him that I definitely didn't expect: a Gabe who can be rude, and who lets his demons get the worst of him, I have to say these scenes were completely unexpected, but I fully understand the reasons that led him to behave that way.
And on the other side is Mia a completely new character in the series who had only been mentioned briefly, but with whom I also fell in love immediately, plus, I think it’s so well written and is VERY easy to empathize with her and everything she's living. Mia is the girl who has broken Gabe's heart so many years ago, but now she’s back with more than one secret that is going to shake their world. She’s one of the strongest and bravest heroines I have ever read: she has lost her dad in a tragic way and the relationship with Gabe revives some of her greatest fears, so let her fear takes hold of her life and she makes several bad decisions and although I NEVER saw her as the villain of her love story, I love that her arguments help me to understand much more the reasons she had for behaving as she did.
Without a doubt, one of my favorite things in the history of Gabe & Mia is the way they meet again, because this second chance at times becomes an office romance, and Lilian Harris achieves a brutal combination that I enjoy very much. Especially a conversation full of double meaning that they both share in the office: That's pure fire!, and in that exchange of insinuations it remains it’s very clear that Mia's personality is as strong as Gabe's and that she’s not willing to let him have the last word. But Gabe & Mia are not only sexual tension, although there is a lot of that, they are also a love that has remained intact for several years, despite the distance and enormous obstacles, which oments seem insurmountable. They are a more than adorable couple, with a beautiful and unbreakable bond, and one of the most romantic and heart-breaking I've read.
For spoiler reasons I can't write much about the great revelation of Mía's secret, that although it takes a long time to arrive, it’s completely worth the wait, it was nothing of what I expected but I loved reading as Mia, Gabe & Tessa handled the situation from start to finish. And since I mentioned Tessa I cannot not say that she’s one more character who has stolen my heart with her occurrences and way of being.
Another thing I loved was rereading Lilah, Damian, Lexi & Jax, my favorite boy, the little glimpses of their family lives, how cute the girls are with Mia and the wonderful friendship that unites them all, I am really sad to think that this was my farewell to all of them, but I am also very happy to have given this series a chance to fall in love with their stories.
Finally, I think the epilogue to Fragile Pieces deserves a special mention: it was a little roller coaster with all the things that Gabe told, but it made me cry with absolute happiness reading it.

No puedo creer que este sea el final de Fragile Hearts Series, estos personajes se han robado mi corazón desde el primer libro, todas las historias han sido muy conmovedoras, me han roto el corazón, pero también me han sanado con el amor qué hay en ellas, definitivamente esta serie está en la lista de mis favoritas y creo que Fragile Pieces es el cierre perfecto para la serie, con una historia llena de desencuentros, malos entendidos, desiciones equivocadas y una épica historia de amor.
Con este libro por fin tuve la oportunidad de conocer a Gabe, quien ya me gustaba después de su aparición en los otros libro, pero después de leerlo como personaje principal me enamoro desde la primera página. Él es un hombre que ha vivido con el corazón roto desde hace varios años, tiene cicatrices físicas y emocionales que le impiden interesarse en el amor, pero ha demostrado ser un amigo incondicional para Jax y Damian, además, a lo largo de este libro lo leí como uno de los personajes masculinos más lindo y tierno del mundo, con una gran capacidad de amar y aceptar sus errores y responsabilidades. También pude ver un lado suyo que definitivamente No esperaba: un Gabe que puede ser grosero, rudo, y que deja que sus demonios saquen lo peor de él, tengo que decir que estas escenas fueron completamente inesperadas, pero entiendo completamente las razones que lo llevaron a comportarse de ese modo.
Y del otro lado está Mia un personaje completamente nuevo en la serie que solo se había mencionado brevemente, pero del cual también me enamore de inmediato, además, creo que está tan bien escrita que es MUY fácil empatizar con ella y todo lo que esta viviendo. Mia es la chica que ha roto el corazón de Gabe hace tantos años, pero ahora esta de vuelta con más de un secreto que va a tambalear el mundo de ambos. Ella es una de las heroínas más fuertes y valientes que he leído: ha perdido a su papá de manera trágica y la relación con Gabe revive algunos de sus más grandes temores, por ello deja que el miedo se apodere de su vida y toma varias malas desiciones y aunque NUNCA la vi como la villana de su historia de amor, me encanta que sus argumentos me ayuden a comprender mucho más las razones que tenía para comportarse como lo hizo.
Sin lugar a dudas, una de mis cosas favoritas en la historia de Gabe & Mia es la forma en la que se encuentran de nuevo, porque este second chance por momentos de vuelve un office romance, y Lilian Harris logra una combinación brutal que disfrute muchísimo. Especialmente una conversación llena de doble sentido que ambos comparten en la oficina: ¡Eso es puro fuego!, y en esa intercambio de insinuaciones queda muy claro que la personalidad de Mia es tan fuerte como la de Gabe y que no está dispuesta a dejar que el tenga la ultima palabra. Pero Gabe & Mia no solo son tensión sexual, aunque sí hay mucho de eso, también son un amor que ha permanecido intacto por varios años, a pesar de la distancia y enormes obstáculos, que por momentos parecen insuperables. Son una pareja más que adorable, con un vinculo hermoso e irrompible, y una de las más románticas y rompe corazones que he leído.
Por razones de spoilers no puedo escribir mucho sobre la gran revelación del secreto de Mía, que aunque tarda en llegar, vale completamente la espera, no fue nada de lo que esperaba pero me encantó leer como Mia, Gabe & Tessa manejaron la situación de principio a fin. Y ya que mencioné a Tessa no puedo no decir un que es un personaje más que se ha robado mi corazón con sus ocurrencias y forma de ser.
Otra cosa que amé fue volver a leer a Lilah, Damian, Lexi & Jax, mi chico favorito, los pequeños vistazos a sus vidas en familia, lo lindas que son las chicas con Mia y la maravillosa amistad qué los une a todos, realmente estoy un poco triste de pensar que esta fue mi despedida de todos ellos, pero también estoy mu feliz de haberle dado a esta serie una oportunidad de enamorarme con sus historias.
Finalmente, creo que el epilogo de Fragile Pieces merece una mención especial: fue una pequeña montaña rusa con todas las cosas que Gabe contó, pero me hizo llorar de absoluta felicidad leerlo.

This is my first book by Lilian Harris. The writing and editing were both excellent.
Fragile Pieces is an emotional second chance romance featuring Mia and Gabe. The characters were well developed, and it was easy to get caught up in their story. Be prepared for plenty of feels - there's heartbreak, laughter and plenty of romance (and steam!) coming your way.
Recommended for any romance lovers that are looking for a HEA.

Fragile Pieces
I had the honour of reading my first Beta read and I absolutely loved the experience and the book. I have read fragile pieces a few time over the last month and it just keeps getting better!!
Every book in the fragile hearts series has been fantastic and Gabe and Mia didn't disappoint. Their story was an emotional roller coaster.
Gabe and Mia bring us an emotional filled story full, anger, hate, heartbreak, forgiveness, angst, witty banter and mending broken hearts.
These two are perfect together, but when Mia sees history repeating it's self she can't bear to go through what her mother and her suffered. But these two are meant to be they just need to overcome their hurt and anger to get there!
This is a perfect conclusion to a fantastic series
you're in for a treat ♥️

Holy smokes this was one emotional read! The story between Mia and Gabe was full of ups and downs. Mia left Gabe because of her own demons but she tried over time to get ahold of him and fix things. Gabe was so broken hearted he couldn’t hear from her or accept it when she reached out to him. They end up coming together in present time five years later due to unforeseen circumstances which forces them to “deal” with each other. And more face the past and see if they can let go or not. It’s one hell of a ride. Prepare for your heart to be on the line with this one!

Fragile Pieces is an emotional and captivating book. Gabe is a man who served in the US Army, honorable and committed to his country. His main motivation was Mia, his girlfriend with whom he had plans for the future; until one day she decides to end their relationship, leaving him heartbroken. After long 5 years fate brings them together, this time as boss and employee. Mia seeks a closeness with him but the scars on his heart and the painful memory of their breakup remain latent which make him reject any attempt on her part. Instead it is cruel and hurtful, but Mia is determined to explain the reason for her decision. Mia's insistence and the even more intense chemistry between them wins out over Gabe's resentment. But they still have to overcome several obstacles and clarify their feelings in order to be together.
This was the first book I read by @lilianharrisauthor and I must say that I totally enjoyed it. My emotions were on edge from start to the end. And it’s because we have two protagonists whose feelings and emotions are palpable. At first I got a little mad with Mia for the decision she made, however as the story progresses I was able to understand her. Gabe, I loved him!He is a man who has suffered a lot and despite this he has an extraordinary resilience. His heart is huge and he is able to forgive Mia's mistakes that fractured their relationship. Besides, there are Gabe's friends, Jax and Damian along with their wives who demonstrate the value of true friendship. I'm not going to elaborate for fear of spoilers but I definitely recommend this book.
I thank the author for providing me with an ARC, I really enjoyed it.

And it’s because we have two protagonists whose feelings and emotions are palpable. At first I got a little mad with Mia for the decision she made, however as the story progresses I was able to understand her. Gabe, I loved him!He is a man who has suffered a lot and despite this he has an extraordinary resilience. His heart is huge and he is able to forgive Mia's mistakes that fractured their relationship. Besides, there are Gabe's friends, Jax and Damian along with their wives who demonstrate the value of true friendship. I'm not going to elaborate for fear of spoilers but I definitely recommend this book.

Mia is brave and strong. She’s suffered with loss and many bad decisions that catch up with her. She’s the woman who broke Gabes heart years ago but now she’s back and those hurts are coming to the forefront.
Gabe is a likeable character most of the time throughout the book but there’s times where you just want to strangle him. He’s rude and let’s his dark side take over his emotions and I wasn’t a fan of that.
I arching these two and their second chance has been intriguing, Mia doesn’t stand for his shit and that was good to see.
I haven’t read the other books in the series but I’m guessing they’re to do with Gabe’s friends, they’re quite a close group of friends and that was good to see too.

This is hands down one of the best romance books of 2021!
I stayed way past my bedtime finishing up this one. It is the ultimate second chance romance book filled with young love, heartbreak, miscommunication and deceit that tore two lovers apart only for them to come face to face with their past years later.
I loved the tension in their reunion.
I consider this the ultimate, classic, second chance romance book that every romance book lover should read!
I honestly could go on and on about why I loved this book. Lillian Harris did an exemplary job bringing these two lovers back together.

Fragile Pieces is so well written, I felt every emotion in the pit of my stomach. I think I only breathed through half of the book because I kept holding my breath!
Gabe and Mia each hide their scars until they’re too thick to hide anymore. The drama level is 10/10 but so worth it.
I could not put this book down. I read it straight through, ignoring everyone and every responsibility.
And oh, heaven above, this quote: Now, we’re just two people with a shattered past, walking on broken pieces, hoping not to bleed.

ALL THE STARS!!!!
Fragile Pieces is the 4th book in the Fragile Hearts series and although it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the series in order.
Gabe thought he and Mia were so in love and would spend the rest of their lives together. A perfect fourth book ....
... in Author Lilian Harris’ amazing Fragile Hearts series. While this could be read as a stand-a-lone book, it is best enjoyed after having read the first three books featuring two other couples who are recurring characters. Jax, Damian and Gabe have returned from war and resigned from the military, forming JDG Security. Throughout the preceding books, we have been aware that Gabe is sour about love and won’t ever trust another woman after the fall out with his ex-girlfriend, Mia. She doesn’t come off looking good, but, we always know there’s more than one side to a story.
I absolutely adore second-chance romances, and coupled with ex-military men, I was so looking forward to FRAGILE PIECES, and Ms Harris did not disappoint. I was right there with Mia as she broke Gabe’s heart, and I saw her reasoning even if she didn’t truly voice it all to Gabe. She actually didn’t have a chance because he wouldn’t listen and ghosted her. I heard her heart break along with mine as she struggled to contact him again using various means, and felt her rejection.
On his part, Gabe was still wrecked, even after six years. Like Mia, he hadn’t moved on and when she shows up in his life again, the chemistry, the love and the antagonism were palpable. The tension between them could be cut with a knife and feasted upon; it was a sustainable thing.
What an amazing end to an amazing series, and I am almost so sad to finish reading them. All I will say is that if you love your ex-military alpha males, and strong woman who have triumphed in difficult situations, then I highly recommend this entire series to you. For anyone who was looking forward to Gabe’s story .... you will not be disappointed. He always intrigued me in the previous books... living a solitary life... I felt he was silently crying out for a family of his own.
Well in this story he is reunited with his first love Mia... and to say it didn’t go too well to begin with would be an understatement!
Gabe’s heartbreak from the way she left him has left a gaping wound in his chest and he is in no hurry to let her try and repair it... and who could blame him. I was never Mia’s biggest fan and I struggled to like her to be honest....especially as the hits keep coming for poor Gabe.
I loved the continued connection between the three guys, their banter and support was really great to read. Tessa is a little firecracker... well above her years in attitude!!
This story is worth a read for so many reasons and one is a reminder not to deny yourself something you desperately need or want. It’s up to you, no matter what others may think.

What an amazing story of second chances, forgiveness, love, devotion and peace. Once I started reading this book I couldn't let go.
Fragile Pieces is the fourth book in The Fragile Hearts series, it can be read as a standalone but I definitely recommend reading the whole series just because you will connect things better.
Gabe and Mia's love story is one that you are going to love. Their story is very emotional and it wrecked my hearth. After so many years of being apart they find themselves working together. Mia is carrying a secret and Gabe is guarding his heart.
I don't want to give too much of the story away, I just recommend that you read it and guarantee you will love it.

This was my first book by Lilian Harris and it will not be my last!
This book is a wild ride of emotion. It brings lots of angst and lots of feels. I love a second chance and Mia and Gabe definitely deserve it after all they have been through.
I really liked Mia, she was strong, had a backbone and struggled with her decisions. I struggled with Gabe, most of the time I wanted to smack him, but he redeemed himself in the end.
Overall a really intense read that will tug at your heartstrings.

This was my first book by this author, when I read the blurb I knew that it was a book that I could like, and I'm glad that I wasn't wrong.
I loved the main characters, Gabe and Mia were two damaged souls that seemed to never get over their past together and couldn't communicate without fighting. But behind their behavior there was an attraction and a love so strong that it was really heartbreaking to see them fighting it.
This book is full of angst, and if you like to feel overwhelmed by emotions and you like super satisfying endings, this is the book for you.

Just like all the other books by Lilian Harris, this one will make you cry. So many feels while reading this book.
Gabe and Mia have not had an easy life together. They started out with a whirlwind romance that was cut short after Gabe returned from war injured. However, the reasons for the heartache may not be all that they seem.
I loved how the story developed, well at least until the heartache started & left me needing to know how the story ended. I love both of these characters & I was so happy with how the book ended.

Wow. This book was an emotional roller coaster. My heart broke for Mia and Gabe and I somehow pieced it back together.

Mia broke Gabe’s heart years ago without giving him a reason and now she’s back in his life and they must face the consequences of her decision. This is a story of secrets, misunderstandings, heartbreak, wrong decisions, anger, angst, and romance.
This is my first book by Lilian Harris and honestly, I’m amazed! This book was so good! I loved Gabe from the first page. He’s a man with a broken heart with an amazing capacity to love. Shockingly, however, we see an unexpected side to him in this book. Mia has so many secrets, but she’s so strong and brave. Mia made many mistakes in the past and we really see her side of things in this book. I loved these two so much! They are such well-developed characters you can’t help, but love. I felt these characters' emotions and could understand where they were coming from. The adult characters were amazing and realistic, but some of the younger characters didn’t feel as realistic and I had trouble believing that. Overall, I really enjoyed this emotional read and will definitely read more of Lilian Harris’ work and the other books in this series.

There is just so many emotions you experience in Mia and Gabe's journey, you feel their heartbreak, turmoil, betrayal and love. The chemistry and history they share is off the charts.
Mia takes a direction turn away from Gabe when he needs her the most because she couldn't stand to lose him the way she lost her father and through the lack of communication Gabe never recovered and though he tried to hate her his heart belonged to her alone.
Things really heat up in all directions when Mia returns and the angst you can feel and everything in-between will keep you glued to every word. Tessa just melts your heart and you hold your breath praying for the perfect outcome (i wont say anything more - you need to read it for yourself)

This was a REAL emotional roller coaster ride! My heart went through such a wringer. I very much enjoyed this series. And I'm sad to see it come to an end.
Tessa and Gabe are just perfect and sweet together. They're meant to be together especially after what they went through. I don't think you could prepare yourself with what you're going to experience reading this one. It's filled with so many emotions and feels. This book definitely did not disappoint.

Fragile Pieces by Lilian Harris is a second chance romance. This is the forth book in the Fragile Hearts series.
I absolutely love Lilian's books! This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. Lilian did an amazing job making me feel all the emotions that Mia and Gabe were feeling. I had to stop many times throughout the book for a breather because I couldn't stop crying. This book gave me all the feels. This is a MUST READ!!!
I would highly recommend this book if you love contemporary romance, second chance romances, or military romances.

Gabe and Mia were young lovers who were close to marriage and starting a family together, but Mia (also the daughter of a man in the military) started to embrace her fears of losing Gabe while he was on tour. She made the heart breaking choice to end things with Gabe after he came home with some pretty serious injuries. That breakup was the most painful regret of Mia’s life. But she hid even more from Gabe.
Six years later and they’re forced back together. Mia took a job as Gabe’s assistant because she desperately needed the money and to talk to Gabe about the secret she’s been keeping from him for too long. These two characters have an inordinate amount of love and passion that seethes through the anger that permeates their relationship. With lots of their past to overcome, it’s really difficult to tell throughout this entire book whether they will be able to find a way back to each other.
Harris does a fantastic job of tying these two together in one of those soulmate-esque ways and I found myself rooting for them on every page. Even when the hidden truths have you cringing at times. This full length novel with have you remembering what the core of love is about and enjoying the very hot heat levels that trail throughout this one. Gabe has a little bit of a domineering side which was really fun to read in this context and Mia just melts with his actions and words.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this Fragile series and this last book is the perfect ending. This story hooks you in from the very beginning but be warned—it is hard to put the book down!

Holy moly, there are some scenes that literally have you cracking up with laughter, especially when Tessa is involved. But there are also some scenes that have your heart cracking up because it is so heartbreaking and emotional. Beautifully written but tears were forming quite a few times, I’m not ashamed to admit.
Gabe is a very likeable character but in all honesty, I felt quite a few different things about him throughout the story. At times my heart broke for him, at others I found myself wanting to give him a swift kick in the rear end! 😆 Then there were the times when he melted my heart, and of course, they are my favourite. Mia I liked too, she intrigued me and it didn’t take long to find out why she did what she did. Aww, my heart; the tears were all worth it though! This story is sweet, steamy, and emotional. It flowed smoothly between the characters with added flashbacks and memories of their past. There was a lot of history between these two and I loved how Lilian Harris tied the past and present together, making some new memories as they move forward with this new chapter.
Gabe is sweet and caring he's also been hurting for a long time and I know he can’t just forgive what happened. Even though I understood his pain there were sometimes that I didn’t agree with his behavior, I wanted to yell at him for playing with her. Then when she finally told him her secret, well, then I hurt for her but understood his feelings as well. I was so conflicted and struggled with balancing the hurt on both sides.
In the beginning, I felt Mia was wrong, yet after hearing her story I understood her better and felt bad for her. She's a good person. She did try to reach him, so I can’t fault her for the entire thing. It was a very difficult situation for everyone. I was so happy when she finally told him the truth, it was like a weight was lifted. I love how he stepped up to make the most of the situation and how she encouraged it. I knew eventually it would all be clear for both of them although getting there was rough and even though it had the tears flowing. I loved it all.
I love Lilian Harris’ books! This is book four of the series and is a second chance, dual POV story and I wish it wasn’t the last. I look forward to her next series, I can’t wait for more.

Even though I understood his pain there were sometimes that I didn’t agree with his behavior, I wanted to yell at him for playing with her. Then when she finally told him her secret, well, then I hurt for her but understood his feelings as well. I was so conflicted and struggled with balancing the hurt on both sides.
In the beginning, I felt Mia was wrong, yet after hearing her story I understood her better and felt bad for her. She's a good person. She did try to reach him, so I can’t fault her for the entire thing. It was a very difficult situation for everyone. I was so happy when she finally told him the truth, it was like a weight was lifted. I love how he stepped up to make the most of the situation and how she encouraged it. I knew eventually it would all be clear for both of them although getting there was rough and even though it had the tears flowing. I loved it all.
I love Lilian Harris’ books! This is book four of the series and is a second chance, dual POV story and I wish it wasn’t the last. I look forward to her next series, I can’t wait for more.

This is the 4th book in the Fragile Hearts Series; it is a stand-alone book. This is Mia & Gabe’s second chance at romance. I loved the characters and the story line keeps you interested throughout the entire book.

Wow! I’m not sure where to start- Lilian you really put me through the ringer! My heart bled for Gabe, I really wanted to hate Mia. Initially, I couldn’t understand her decision, yet the more I knew, I felt a pang of sympathy for her even though she robbed Gabe of so much! Gabe, I understand you were devastated, her timing was despicable but maybe you should have heard her out all those times she tried to contact you!
Lilian definitely likes to turn up the angst and this book had plenty - I watched as these two struggled with anger, guilt, betrayal, and how to move forward knowing their love may not be enough. Gabe and Mia are passionate, quick to anger, quick to laugh, and quick to tease! I so wanted them to get their HEA and at times I thought they would never get there.
This book was everything I hoped it would be, I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I got hot under the collar! I think there is only one thing that detracted from this book for me and it was towards the end of the book. I’m obviously not going to expand on it and include spoilers but to me it was just a tad questionable - however it was not enough for me to not enjoy this book just like I did the others in the series! I would definitely recommend this book and the series! Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
