The Rules of Dating a Younger Man Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 1,292 ratings

A new, sexy standalone novel from New York Times Bestsellers, Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

I was the last of my group of friends to find “the one.”
The guys would always tease me that I needed to hurry up and settle down.
But I was in no rush.
Until I met someone worth rushing for.
Alex was one of the weekend volunteers at
Ryan’s House—a charity I founded to build housing near hospitals.
Little did I know she was the same person I’d been arguing with over email before the project started. At the time, I’d thought Alex was a
dude.
In reality? She was a smoking hot blonde who captivated me from the moment we met in person.
Our chemistry was off the charts, and I fell hard pretty fast.
Unfortunately, Alex insisted I was too young for her. I hated that she felt that way. Because age was just a number.
Not only that, her words didn’t match the way she looked at me—like she was
very interested.
I lived for the weekends we’d spend out of town volunteering. Alex and I side-by-side hammering during the day, while sharing intimate dinners together at the hotel at night.
Eventually, the walls she’d put up to protect her heart began to crumble.
Until fate threw us a doozy that I wasn’t sure we could come back from.
If I’d thought our age gap was the biggest hurdle, I didn’t know anything yet.
Rule number one for dating an older woman who insists you could never be together?
Don’t fall in love.

What a beautiful and wonderful story !

What a beautiful and wonderful story !
I was absolutely captivated by this incredible book. When Alex Jones crosses paths with Brayden Foster, their tumultuous journey begins. At first, it's anything but easy, but as a reader, you will be completely drawn into the magic woven by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. This deeply emotional story had me shedding tears one minute and bursting into laughter at their witty banter the next. Each character is incredibly relatable, and I found myself becoming deeply attached to them, almost as if they were my own family. I simply couldn't put the book down.Brayden's work as an engineer, crafting unique prosthetics, was described in such detail that it took my breath away. The story is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with numerous highs and lows, which truly sets it apart as a winner. The beautiful dynamics of the group of friends and their partners, along with Alex's friend Wells, were portrayed perfectly. Each character felt so real, and their interactions were wonderfully authentic.

It is not often that two authors can write seamlessly as one person, but Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have mastered the art. I love their storytelling which is original and fun to read.

Brayden and Alex's story was a fun slow burn sexy age gap romance. It also had some serious and heartfelt moments to it.

A wonderful story and great addition to the series.

Both narrators did an excellent job with the duet style narration.

This series has been a breath of fresh air with each hero waving all the green flags a girl could ever want.

And while I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first three, I loved Brayden to pieces.

What a moving and heart-warming romance. With lots of heat. I love this genre and this duo of talent penned an incredibly delectable tale that was impossible to put down. This was a read in one sitting story. Because once you start, you are literally not able to put it down. It sicls you into the realm of possibilities. The intensity will have you sitting on the edge. The anticipation is agonising deliciousness. This couple was not what I expected and their journey one I never saw coming. It was mysterious. It was shrouded in naughtiness and never knowing what's going to happen from one page to the next. The attraction between the leading characters was immediate, but also a slow burn, which turned into epicness. Many ups and many downs. This story is unforgettable. And it will own you. Body and soul, this captivating saga was a masterful collection of words, wonder and incredibly deep feelings. The complete package. 5 stars.

This magic writing duo have excelled themselves. This is no run-of-the-mill age gap tale, oh no!
They made me ugly cry, over a totally heartbreaking romance delemma like none I've read before.
Thank goodness the HEA put my heart back together again.

This was the worst book, I struggled to finish it. Alex's character was so annoying and childish. I was hoping Brayden would somehow end up with Lacey instead.

Can you give a book a round of applause? Is that a thing? I LOVED the ending, it almost cracked me! I don’t get teary eyed at books but it was a close one!
I’d be impatiently waiting for Brayden’s story and it didn’t disappoint! Meeting an older woman, Alex in a mixup, they are thrown a massive curveball that makes it seem they can never be together. Can they ever get past their issues?
Hilarious at times, sad, smile inducing, I really enjoyed this addition to the series!

Alex is weak and insecure. I expected more from a older woman. He is the best, like all of them in this serie, but lost his manhood during the narrative. Just a thought.

The power-writing duo, Keeland and Ward, are back with a captivating reverse age-gap romance that brought out all the smiles from the word go. With that being said, their protagonists’ journey to happiness is a bumpy one. The Rules of Dating a Younger Man is the last standalone novel in The Laws of Opposites Attract series which I’d highly recommend reading if you haven’t already.

Whilst Brayden Foster and Alexandria Jones’ attraction in their cute meet-up is undeniable, he soon realises that ‘Alex’ is not only the one who’s been sending him bothersome colour-orientated emails but also a very efficient volunteer on a house renovation project. A charitable project close to his and his mates’ hearts. And what an absolute treat it was to find out what the gang and their women were up to; especially Colby’s wife who I have a soft spot for.

I truly liked how the authors left Alex and Brayden’s age gap up to their readers' imagination; I learnt his age and feelings about them as a possible couple, but there’s a strong ring of emotional conflict regarding her thoughts. Understandably, getting to know each other well, and building trust is a slow-burn affair. Yet I couldn’t fault Brayden–hands off girlies; he's my new book boyfriend! If there were ever someone so caring and attuned to Alex’s presentiment, it had to be him. The authors' approach to questionable differences in a relationship of this kind was extremely well done and highlighted in the story. A good example is a popular early 90s TV series.

I met the kind-hearted Devyn in Owen’s story, The Rules of Dating My One-Night Stand. This time, her brother’s featured and up to no good. I have no qualms about saying I didn’t like what he did in the least. Still, his shenanigans added to the angst which is, in point of fact, plentiful. As always, solid character and plot development are guaranteed when Keeland and Ward put pen to paper together. I adored Alex’s bestie, a family member, and Ryan–I have no words for the actions his buddies do to make sure his name never went in vain. There’s a scene that had me gulping for air since in all its poignancy; Brayden’s endurance makes a difference.

Keeland and Ward squeezed the tears out of me, made me laugh and swoon and the tension buildup ladies–hold on to your seats; the twist floored me! I didn’t mention the off-the-charts steaminess but I’ll leave that up to your imagination! I lapped up the banter which flowed so delightfully–the epicness of the ending filled my heart's content. So, want a story to lose yourselves in at the end of summer? Then the book is for you, but don’t even think about picking it up too late at night because you won't be able to put this phenomenal love story down. Bravo to the authors for such a spectacular read!

Awkward, heavy-handed, it's hard to believe that Ward and Keeland wrote this book.
After years of enjoying the works of both authors, I expect writing of a higher caliber.
