    This book felt like an emotional rollercoaster but in the best possible way. AMAZING characters who you fall in love with, and who draw at your heart strings like i've very rarely found in books. In between moments of laughing until i cried, and then moments of crying from saddness or happiness (if i was truthful it was probably more sobbing like a baby!), I found myself falling in love with these fabulously well written, likeable and honest charcters. I couldn't put this book down from the moment I started it, and i can guarantee you won't either. Thankyou Penelope and Vi for giving me the wonderful world of Elodie and Hollis!

    This was a very heartfelt read. Lots of emotions involved and plenty of patience required. Our Heroine was the star of this one, Elodie was fabulous, fun and witty, such a beautiful soul. Hollis was difficult, wealthy, hot etc but his heart was broken. I just wanted to give him a shove and say get over it! This torturous slow burn finally got its HEA but not before some heavy tears.

    I found the story intriguing but 2/3 of the way through the book I became extremely sad because if you have ever lost someone to either disease or naturally it’s opened a cabinet in my brain that I thought was permanently closed but it was not it was the grieving cabinet and I find I started to cry so if anyone has experience that you have to realise you might feel the same but it had a very happy ending to the book which I was very glad of

    Here I was thinking the twist would be that the last potential client before she left her job would turn out to be his childhood love, boy was I wrong! This is a beautiful sad story, one that makes you realise just how lucky you are in life. It has a happy ending but the journey to it is full of fun, giggles and a bit of heartache.. such a great read, also great length book for those who want a good read but not ready to start on a whole series. Thanks vi and Penelope for another great read.

    Heartwarming and emotional. One twist I could see coming but the other smacked me upside the head. I loved the compassionate boy Hollis was and the man he turned into. Anna, his girlfriend was a rare treasure. I liked Elody well enough but didn't feel as connected with her. (Is her name mean't to be Melody without the M? I struggled to warm to it...sorry). This was a really good read. Ignore Hollis' attitude - it's masking pain. Time and the love of a good woman and an 11yr old niece bring him around.

    Acho que já estou tão acostumada com os livros em parceria entre a Vi e a Penélope, que já não vejo mais muita diferença entre eles.

    Talvez por isso eu não consiga dar menos que 3 estrelas, mas acho que já estou cansada de todo livro delas, ter alguém com uma doença terminal que morre deixando uma confusão pra trás.

    Nesse momento é complicado pra mim avaliar o livro pelos personagens, ou pela conexão entre eles, quando parece que eu já li o livro algumas vezes, apenas com nomes e doenças diferentes.

    Eu realmente gostei da Elodie na maior parte do tempo, e até gostei do Hollis apesar de revirar os olhos em grandes momentos, mas pra mim foi mais do mesmo, e isso realmente me deixou um tanto entediada.
