Fighting For Our Forever....Baby style by Heidi McLaughlin 3 stars
I may have been lost because I'm not up to speed on this series. But this short story was cute and fun even if you don't know all the key players.
Pure Rose by Kathy Coopmans 4 stars
This sexy second chance romance stars two single parents. Pure Rose is complete with an overwhelming lust that can only be sated by these two finally giving into their chemistry.
Waking Up to Forever by Amy Briggs 3 stars
Waking Up to Forever is a unique fairytale rewrite. Down to the fairy godmother...I'm unifrom! 😆 All kidding aside this sweet story has everything it's counterpart does. A villian, a curse, and a happily ever after!
Crush by Adriana Locke 5 stars
What a freaking tease! Adriana Locke knew exactly what she was doing when she put Linton in this anthology. She was teasing, stroking, and caressing the reader into a state of bliss. She had me panting and sated. She had me glassy eyed and ready for more and then bam! Done. Over. No more. Just enough tease to make you on edge and enough cliffhanger to have you begging. It's a good thing I love her and this series. Otherwise I would pout (okay, pout more!).
Love, Rose by Shari J. Ryan 5 stars
Talk about a rocky start! I wasn't sure how this quick story was going to leave a smile on my face but Shari J. Ryan accomplished that and more. I'm more invested in their ever after than I thought possible. I would love an update on the not so happy though. Say a raging case of herpes or a date that justifies my personal hatred for the scum. Alas, Shari must be far more classy than I, I would have added a karmic kick. Don't worry though this ending will melt away all your anger and worries!
Reunion by Julie A. Richman 5 stars
Nice move there, Ms. Richman! She definitely had me fooled. I love the outcome better than the awesome lead up! Reunion is a revenge scenario and a bonus connection in one. As a misfit myself, it was fun to see all my Reunion dreams come true. 😆
This story was surprising in the best way possible. It has everything you need to make a connection to the characters and be invested in the outcome. I thoroughly enjoyed this Reunion! (Winky face) I'm confident you will too!
Coming Home by HJ Bellus 5 stars
You don't have to know these characters to appreciate this story and fall in love with them. I'm sure it only adds to the feels. Coming Home is bittersweet. Life isn't always what we planned or hoped. Annie learns that the hard way. She also learns that love comes in many forms and always has your back. This quick story made me fall for characters that have been keeping my kindle full but I've never turned the pages on. Looks like that needs to change!
Roses for Rachel by Sam JD Hunt 3 stars
This quirky tale of instalove has a twist. A push from their dead spouses lead these two to find their ever afters.
Finley and Sebastian, Wages of Sin series by Tara Leigh 4 stars
I'm new to the Wages of Sin world but If be lying if I said I wasn't going to go out and get them. I'm just jealous that Sebastian and Finley don't have a full novel. Hot hate and lust full these pages. Uncertainty and distrust make for an exchange that will melt your panties and drive you need for more!
Whiskey & Roses by Kaylee Ryan 4 stars
The cool thing about the stories that continue a series or give glimpses is that you can add them to your TBR. Whiskey & Roses has me intrigued for Hey Whiskey. Two weddings? Sounds like a mess and a romantic one at that. Even having no prior experience with the characters, it's easy to love and appreciate them.
Where I Escape by Michelle Dare 4 stars
I knew Cy's story and therefore a bit of Parker, Tori, and Blair's. Where I Escape is Blair's turn at a happily ever after. It's been building for years. You can feel their need. The longing. It was cathartic to see Finn and Blair the way they should be!
Capturing Tomorrow- Kingsley Series 5.5 by Haylee Thorne 4 stars
A bachelorette weekend that even Kingsley newbies can appreciate. Fun times and men who can't stay away. I had a blast riding along in the limo and look forward to the I dos.
Line 39 by Verlene Landon 3 stars
I would negotiate line 39 myself. Rules are made to be broken after all. I would definitely read more about Lena and Rue. I need to keep my eyes open for their up coming book.
Coming Up Roses by Michelle Windsor 3 stars
Talk about an adventure! The plane trip that changes her life. This steamy morsel will definitely make you think about hopping on a plane as soon as possible!
Mine to Protect by Kristin Mayer 3 stars
Protect and love. Mine to Protect has a bit of trouble and a strapping former military hottie ready to lay down his life for The One.
The Way We Fell (a Legacy series novella) by MJ Fields 4 stars
I feel like a broken record but I definitely enjoyed this story without having read any of the series it hails from. The Way We Fell is sexy and sweet with emphasis on the sweet. Fairytales can come true!
Ring Me by Rebecca Brooke 4 stars
I'm converted. I officially need Jaded Ivory in my life. I'm going to have to track down these books. Cole made me a believer. Sweet and stressful, Ring Me was just the perfect ending to this anthology.
This anthology is a fundraiser for Jordyn Preston, daughter of the author, Beverly Preston and her fight against liver cancer. All proceeds will be given to the family.
Fighting For Our Forever… Baby style by Heidi McLaughlin This was super cute and funny! I wish that I had read the Beaumont Series first, but all at once I don't feel like I missed anything major. There were a lot of names mentioned from the series is all.
Pure Rose by Kathy Coopmans Holy hotness! Rose and Owen are an unlikely match. Their story was funny, fast paced, sweet and STEAMY!
Waking Up to Forever by Amy Briggs I enjoyed this take on the Fairy Tale Snow White. While there were similarities this was it's own story. Jackie and Jacob went through heck the week before their wedding. Heck, even their chance meeting was something to remember.
Crush by Adriana Locke Very funny but kind of immature. It was really hard for me to relate to the main character. I loved Navie and Peck. I will be looking up this authors other work!
Love, Rose by Shari J. Ryan Writing letters seems to be a lost art form. This short story shows just how therapeutic it can be, as well as life altering! Loved it.
Reunion by Julie A. Richman I loved it! I was not expecting it. I thought for sure it was ****** who wanted her there.(no spoilers!)
Coming Home by H.J. Bellus When you feel the world crashing down around you, the best place to be is HOME! No matter what.
Roses for Rachel by Sam J.D. Hunt I want a rose so bad! This was a sweet story about two widows finding their second chances.
Finley and Sebastián, Wages of Sin series by Tara Leigh This is clearly a short story based off of a series, it was super hot. I plan on going back to read the series at a later time.
Whiskey & Roses by Kaylee Ryan I loved everything about this! Even after kids, your relationship can still be hot!
Where I Escape by Michelle Dare Arrow Falls series has been on my TBR for a while, this just reminded me to get it read! I loved Blair and Fin! I hope to see more of them in the original series.
Capturing Tomorrow by Haylee Thorne This was so much fun, with so much love! I will be looking up this author for sure.
LINE 39 by Verlene Landon Love this! Looks, or injuries do not matter! Simple as that.
Coming Up Roses by Michelle Windsor I really enjoyed this! I have a few of this authors books on my TBR and I really need to get to them!
Mine to Protect by Kristin Mayer *sigh* Second chances and craziness. Loved Momma Rose. She had a way about her.
The Way We Fell by M.J. Fields What are the odds? I need to look this author up to see what else she has.
Ring Me by Rebecca Brooke Second chances again! Woohooo. I love them.
Kathy Coopmans knows how to give it hard, give it fast, and give it oh-so right in this all-new romance with all-new characters. Pure Rose had me hooked right from the very start and didn't let go until long after the pages quit turning.
Older single parents. Unputdownable journey that'll fiercely take you by storm. Coopmans brings all the heat, heart, passion, and feels in this brand new unforgettable journey.
I highly recommend this little book.

WHISKEY & ROSES BY KAYLEE RYAN
Kaylee Ryan left me squirming in my seat and gave my heart all of those fluttery feels in this short, steamy, sweet, swoony little romance. Whiskey & Roses was crazy good, unforgettable, and unputdownable in every single way.
Is there anything better than catching up with a previously read couple that you loved and adored? Absolutely nothing!!! ... and y'all, get ready to have your hearts stolen all over again.
Overall, this was a wonderful anthology, to support a great cause! I completely enjoyed it!
Fighting for Our Forever...Baby Style by Heidi McLaughlin I've not read anything by this author before, but I've seen her books. As much as I love Rocker books, I'm very surprised I've not picked them up by now! This is a sort of prologue (an after the HEA, if you will!) of her book Fighting for Our Forever. I have to say, even though I hadn't read the back story, I was able to follow along quite well, and it was a fun story. The author was able to convey the difficulties of late pregnancy, while still showing how happy and excited the parents were. I definitely am going to have to go back and begin this series!
Pure Rose by Kathy Coopmans Oh boy! This book is short, sweet, and dirty! I'm surprised my kindle didn't spontaneously combust and set my house on fire! This story is about a single mother, whose daughter is all grown up, and now its Mom's time to shine! She is getting her chance at life, living for herself, instead of dedicating her life and time to her daughter's happiness. Definitely shows that it's never too late for happiness!
Waking Up Forever by Amy Briggs I'm not sure how she did it, but this author fit an entire mystery/romance in a short story! This is the "After the HEA" for her book "Dream State" which is a sort of Fairy Tale romance. The entire story had me on edge, waiting to see what would happen next, and if they would get their happy day. It was a fantastic, magical story!
Crush by Adriana Locke OMG! That has got to be the hottest ONS I've ever read about! Cue Kindle Explosion! This is an sort of an introduction story, for her book Crank, and boy, does it draw you in and make you want to run to pick it up! Definitely gonna put that on my to read list!
Love, Rose by Shari J. Ryan This is such a sweet story! It's all about healing, in the best way for you. Rose is the type of character that you can't help but love. She is so perfectly imperfect and touches my heart. This is an uplifting story about second chances at life!
Reunion by Julie A. Richman This was definitely a story that is over the top! High School Reunion that definitely didn't turn out how Rose thought it would. I couldn't help but laugh at some places, and feel like Rose got the better deal in the end! A short, fun read about growing up, and moving on!
Coming Home by HJ Bellus This story starts out with disappointment and ends with hope! Annie's life is in an uproar, and a trip home to visit her family reminds her of what is important, and that there is always someone to depend on and support you in a small town. And there is a little bit of teasing for what I'm sure is going to be an amazing story to come!
Roses for Rachel by Sam JD Hunt I've not read anything by this author, and while this story was well written, it was a bit outside of my comfort zone. Maybe a little creepy?!? I enjoyed the story, but it struck me as a bit out there. I liked the insta-love factor, and the characters were likeable, but there were parts that just put me off a bit.
Finley and Sebastian by Tara Leigh The details and description in this short story is absolutely mind boggling! I felt like I was right there with them! And let me tell you, it was HOT! Absolutely scorching! I needed a cold shower and a cigarette after reading this one, and I don't even smoke!
Where I escape by Michelle Dare As much as I adore romance, I love a story with a strong heroine even more. I love a story about a woman that has overcome great hardship and is rebuilding her life and moving on. Add in a man that is super supportive, and a love that is undeniable and unending, and I am in heaven! This story hits all of those points and so much more!
Capturing Tomorrow by Haylee Thorne This is a wonderful short story, kind of an after the HEA, but before the HEA? I know that makes no sense, but Phoenix and River (as well as all of their friends!) are happily together, but there seems to be so much more to their story! I have absolutely got to go back and start at the beginning and read this series!!!!
Line 39 by Verlene Landon This is definitely and author I've not read before, but one I will be checking out. This story is one of overcoming obstacles, to find that life is still there after tragedy, and that love shows up in the most unexpected places!
Coming Up Roses by Michelle Windsor This was a short romance all about a chance meeting in an airplane, flying cross country. It's steamy, and just shows you that you never know who you are going to meet in a seemingly innocent moment!
Mine to Protect by Kristin Mayer This was a lot of drama and excitement in such a short story! I couldn't help but love the protectiveness and intimacy that was included in their story! Absolutely perfect!
The Way We Fell by MJ Fields I've read a lot of books by this author, and each one just gets better than the last. This short story was fun, interesting, and different than anything I've read before. I loved how strong the female character was, how committed she is to her beliefs in how she should be treated and how relationships go. Definitely one that will stick with me, and left me wanting more!
Ring Me by Rebecca Brooke This is another one of those "I haven't read anything by this author" but this short story was so interesting, I'm going to have to go back and read Mari & Cole's story! Matter of fact, I wonder if there are stories about the rest of Mari's band? This story totally sucked me in, and I can't wait to go looking for the rest!
A novella by one of my favourite authors, this short but punchy story delivers the goods. Told in Des and Rose’s points of view, this is about two friends going to their ten-year high school reunion. A heavily pregnant Des managed to convince Rose, a successful career woman to attend the party and confront her old demons, ahem I meant her ex-boyfriend. Expecting to have a hell night, Rose bumps into a classmate she didn’t recognise and oh boy, is she in for a big surprise! Although a short story, Ms. Richman thankfully gives the reader the main characters’ back story which provides insight to their grown-up personas. I really enjoyed reading this one.
3.5-Stars ~ Crush by Adriana Locke
This novella features Delaney a young woman who goes to the local laundromat, do her washing and go back to her flat. Instead, she sees the hot as hell Boone who is just passing through the small town of Dillon. Their eyes meet and lust at first sight happens; dirty laundry washed and cleaned and voila they end up in her flat. No promises were made but they sure made the most of his one night in town. This is a wham-bam-thank-you-kindly-mam moment. Just like the Fourth of July fireworks in the sky: hot, colourful and finishing with a big bang.
Reunion - Julie Richman Julie is one of my favorite authors and people and I absolutely LOVED this story. So much, that I really need more of this couple. So much can happen at a high school reunion. Julie, please give me more!
"You were cute and funny." "You like me." His smile isn't smug, there's a hint of surprise. "For a derelict, yeah." "You like me." He appears satisfied with the knowledge.
Crush - Adriana Locke I love Adriana and her writing. I especially love the residents of Linton and the people who frequent the town. Delaney and Boone meet over laundry, flirt and end up having drinks and…more. I loved this strangers to lovers story and I hope we get to see them again.
I'd follow him anywhere, especially if anywhere was a bed.
What a wonderful anthology! From Heidi McLaughlin to Adriana Locke to Kaylee Ryan and so many more talented authors, this anthology is one of the best I’ve read! All of the participating authors brought their A-game for this book and I love the fact it’s for an amazing cause! With some authors that I’ve read many times over and some that are new to me, I truly enjoyed every moment of this book!

Jordyn's Army is a wonderful anthology with sweet, sexy, emotional and everything in between. Something for everyone. I hope it does well because Jordyn and her family deserve something wonderful!
Ok, so from the outset let me say that this will be a whistle stop review of each of the books in the anthology, not because I don’t have a lot to say that I don’t have a lot to say, quite the opposite I have so much I could say that if I waffled on for half as long as I usually do you would be reaching for the Vodka! I must first applaud each and every one of the contributing authors, this was a Tour de Force and you smashed it! Fabulous work for a totally worthwhile cause. So here we go: Fighting for Our Forever....Baby style This was a delight by the sensational Heidi Mclaughlin, all the main characters from the series were present and each brought back their own little bit of magic. I would say you don’t really have to have read all the books in the series to get the gist of what this is all about but in all honesty…why wouldn’t you have these characters are ones you do not want to miss. Fantastic read, great to keep up with everyone and to welcome a new arrival- 4.5 Stars
Pure Rose I am a huge Kathy Coopmans fan, so reading this was total joy! Two fantastic primary characters who each had life experiences that could have for all intents and purposes kept them at arm’s length. I loved the dynamic that they were both single parents and the complexities that that brought to the situation. They fought hard to avoid the inevitable but, in the end, chemistry does its own thing…luckily! A great read – thoroughly enjoyable – 4.5 Stars
Waking Up to Forever Amy Briggs is a new to me author and I will admit that I liked the story, it just wasn’t my favourite of the anthology. A clever reincarnation of a fairy-tale this had everything you would expect and a little bit more – 3 Stars
Crush Adriana Locke, you smashed it! Totally knocked it out the park, I was aghast by the time I got to the end. Sensational!! – Fantastic 5 Stars!
Love, Rose Another new to me author, I will admit now that Shari J. Ryan has a new fan because this was so much more than a short story, heck I have no idea show she managed to get so much into those relatively few pages. It was angsty, it was classy, it had it all and I ran through every emotion I had, I was sure that I was going to be left hanging but nope, the author played her trump card and by the end I was suitably sated. Loved it – 5 stars.
Reunion Julie A. Richman knows how to take her readers on a journey and for much of this I wasn’t exactly sure either what way the story was going or more to the point whether I would like it when it got there. But the author kept the surprises coming and I couldn’t help but become invested. These were characters that I took to heart. Knockout – 4.5 Stars
Coming Home I’ve read practically everything written by this author and if you haven’t read HJ Bellus before you are in for a treat because she makes sure you know what it is like to fall in love with her characters. This was a real journey, a lesson learned that not everything goes the way you want it to go but that you roll with the punches and make the best of what you have. I loved Annie, and I am sure you will too. Favourite story of the whole anthology – 5 Amazing Stars
Roses for Rachel Sam JD Hunt gave me a story that I can honestly say I hadn’t expected and for most of the read wasn’t actually sure that I liked. It was different, who people brought together under totally unique circumstances with more than a little help from their dearly departed…quirky - 3 stars
Finley and Sebastian, Wages of Sin series I finished this desperately looking for more! Tara Leigh gave me a story that I just didn’t want to end. I haven’t read much by this author before and I haven’t really read much of the series…that will change now! I thought Sebastian and Finley were brilliant. – keep a fan handy ladies – this is a steamy one! – 4 Stars
Whiskey & Roses Kaylee Ryan, an easy read that didn’t task the brain cells but certainly touch my soul. The characters we easy to fall for and the author certainly knows how to pitch a wedding! - 4 stars
Where I Escape Michelle Dare, I knew nothing of these characters before I started their story but that didn’t hold back the enjoyment of the story, the story gave the feeling of history, the fact that the character shad a deep-seated connection that they were ready to unleash. I liked that about them, the fact that they weren’t an instant thing and that there was a solidity about not just them but how they were together – fab 4.5 stars
Capturing Tomorrow- Kingsley Series Again, the joy of an anthology…another new to me author. A fun frolic on a bachelorette weekend. Super funny and highly entertaining- 3.5 Stars
Coming Up Roses This was by Michelle Windsor and I can honestly say that I thought it was Ok, it had potential to be better (in my opinion) but that being said I certainly wouldn’t be put off air travel - 3 stars
Line 39 Verlene Landon I can say no more about Line 39, Lena and Rue other than I WANT MORE!!!!- 4.5 Stars
Mine to Protect Military romance, a genre that I have always gravitated towards and whilst this story by Kristin Mayer had what I was looking for generally, I would have liked a little more – greedy I know but you know how it is! – 3.75 Stars
The Way We Fell A super sweet and seriously sexy read from the fabulous MJ Fields. – 4 Stars
Ring Me What a way to complete the anthology, this was truly fabulous. If you haven’t read any of this authors’ works then I would say…why? Rebecca Brooke is not to be missed and Jaded Ivory is a an absolutely must…you should check it out! 4 stars
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
Jordyn's Army, a collection of never-before-seen short stories that the authors benefits Beverly Preston's family comes out on September 3rd.
Jordyn Preston, (Beverly Preston's daughter), who is battling liver cancer. Every single penny from the sale of this book will go to the Preston Family.
This is a huge analogy of stories written by some great authors. Its a fundraiser for Liver Cancer and is definitely worth supporting this great cause.
I did not read the whole book but I read some stories and I truly loved them. So are new stories but highlight a series the author has previously written a main book for.
Here are some of my favorites
Kaylee Ryan Whiskey & Roses You met Rhett and Saylor in Hey, Whiskey. My outlook on life has changed in the last fifteen years. I now have a husband and a family I can lean on. I’ve paved my own path, but they’ve traveled it with me. Not a single day have I regretted my choice to make this small town in West Virginia my home. We’ve built a life here and raised our kids here. Now here we are fifteen years later, and I’m about to show my wife that even after all these years, she’s all I see.
This was a short and sweet story for fans of Hey Whiskey. It takes place 15 years later and we get a glimpse into the main characters crazy life with kids and teens.
Kathy Coopmans Pure Rose Meet Rose and Owen in this short sexy story about two single parents in their forties.Think Cinderella meets Prince Charming Opposites really do attract.
This is a really terrific tory maybe even my top favorite. It features two single parents whose kids date and that introduces them. They are both older in their 40's and its a very erotic story. Its also fairly shot as both characters are in love already but Rose doesn't think she is enough for Owen.
Adriana Locke Crush Delaney McCallister isn’t looking for a date. She just wants clean pajamas so she can go back home, flop on the couch, and relax. As the spin cycle begins, in walks the most delectable man she’s ever seen—one that clearly doesn’t belong in her small town. She doesn’t belong in his bed, either, but a simple little crush never hurt anyone.
This was a fun story. It takes part in the author's series The Gibson Boys and Delaney is the best friend of Sienna. Its abut a hot guy she meets at the a laundromat. It ends after they hook up and while I enjoyed it I wanted a more complete story and to see more of the characters.
Julie A. Richman Reunion Two high school besties. Two ex-boyfriends.A 10-year high school reunion. An unexpected surprise revealing a long-kept secretThere are just some nights you’ll never forget…
I really liked this story. Its about two besties who go to their reunion. One is married and pregnant and the other is single and goes to tell off her ex. At the reunion she sees this guy who had a crush on her way back when and they get to know each other again.
HJ Bellus Coming Home The My Way Gang is back together. Annie has news to break to her dad, Cree. Life on the farm will never be the same.
This is a new author for me. And it was kinda different. Its about a girl coming home from college and her boyfriend got her pregnant and she has to tell her family. Its more about her facing her new life and giving a chance to her high school boyfriend and moving on from her awful ex. I did enjoy it though it felt a little short and rushed.
Kristin Mayer Mine to Protect Austin and Scarlette come together in a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end.
I LOVED this story soooooooo much. But I wanted to read more about this couple and how they fell in love but could not find anything on the authors page. Austin and Scar are in love and in this story she meets his family and also a woman tries to come between this couple. I loved their relationship SO much.
Fighting For Our Forever... Baby Style by Heidi McLaughlin
This was a pure comic relief of Jamie and Ajay road to delivery. How family is not always blood but those who accept you and love you just the same."
Pure Rose by Kathy Coopmans
Now talk about going after what you want and desire.... Let an Owen come to my door, this forty year old woman will do the exact same thing. I related to Rose on so many levels. It is always all about the kids.
Waking Up To Forever by Amy Briggs
I swear I would have lost my mind. This book was crazy. Determined with an end game Jacob and Jackie were dealt a hand leading to their wedding day. They displayed a calm united front but I know personally I would have lost it when the first thing happened. Funny how things come full circle with the oddest connection.
Crush by Adriana Locke
Now talk about sexy as all get out. Boone and Delaney was HOT. Both direct and to the point. Making a chance situation a moment that was and is unforgettable.
Love, Rose by Shari J Ryan
Dang, that story was therapeutic. If only many women was a strong as Rose. Me included. I may have to adopt that idea as my own. This short is a MUST read.
Reuniom by Julie A. Richman
This short took a twist in turn to somewhere even I didn't see coming. I knew there was another party at play but definitely not him. Sweet with a little boost of self- esteem.
Coming Home by HJ Bellus
When I tell you this short has me missing the books that started it all.... MAN!!!! I had all the feels and highlights while reading Annie story. The sprinkles are back ladies and gentlemen. YES!!!!!!
Rose's for Rachel by Sam JD Hunt
This was a very unique story. It had great sentimental value.
Finely and Sebastian by Tara Leigh
So I am mad it ended that way because I needed no more like wanted, one more page. I have found a new to me author just because I need to know what happens next. Sebastian.... YES PLEASE.
Whiskey Roses by Kaylee Ryan
To be cherished is a dream many have but Saylor is living. I got the romantic feels all over while reading this short about their anniversary.
Where I Escape by Michelle Dare
The hottest scene in an office goes to.... Blair and Finn. What did I get myself into reading this glimpse into their story? Another book added to my TBR list.
Capturing Tomorrow by Haylee Thorne
Talk about romantic gesture... Mr. Ray, Mr. Ray, Mr. Ray..... you stole the show in this one. Cave man act, no problem if it always end that way.
Coming Up Roses by Michelle Windsor
They always say that you don't know who's watching so always be 100. This was a fun read and I would love to see what happens next with Fin and Chloe.
Mine to Protect by Kristin Mayer
Love that a military novella made its way into the fold. Marine at that... This was a complete start to finish with a little crazed action. Something everyone will enjoy.
The Way We Fell by MJ Fields
A chance meeting that explored desire, truths, and HEA... I look inside of what determination brings. This was all that in a nut shell.
Ring Me by Rebecca Brooke
This was a nice coming together short. It doesn't always take grand gestures just the right words
A wonderful anthology full of love and heartache and all the great things that make up romance!
These authors did a great job coming together for a great cause and giving us a taste of just what they are all about.
Some I've read before and continue to adore and some were new to me and now I have more lovely authors to stalk (oops I mean read)
I always enjoy a great anthology and Jordyn's Army is one of the better ones I've encountered of late. Premier authors who show their support and love by doing what they do best: writing their hearts out for one of their own.
A must read, Jordyn's Army is worthy of all the stars and more.
I am loving this anthology. I am going to review it as a whole. There is a little something for everyone. Sweet, funny, angsty. I am finding new authors to read and having fun reading new stories from authors I love. I can't put it down.
Heidi McLaughlin ~ Ajay and Jamie are having a baby and the whole Beaumont family is ready to welcome the new addition. Feeling a little overwhelmed; Jamie just wants her healthy baby to arrive as soon as possible. While Ajay is trying to fulfill her every wish. We get an opportunity to visit with Harrison and Katelyn and catch up with Elle. The band is on its way up and Quinn and Hendrix are dealing with the notoriety their receiving from the tabloids. Each page is filled with expectation and soon everyone is in place and racing to the hospital. This story will always have me wanting more. Their friendship, family and careers are all in a good place with little hints of side stories that could possibly give the us readers some more Beaumont series stories. After all, I girl could wish.
Amy Briggs ~ This light hearted love story will make you smile. Amy has intertwined a lovely story that's reminiscent of the fairy tales we all love to read. There's a bit of mystery all wrapped up in a wonderful story fit for a fairy tale princess and her Prince Charming.
Sam JD Hunt ~ Heartbreaking tale of loss turns into a second chance at finding a forever love. Jonah has lost everything that he holds dear. One wrong moment crippled his future. While trying to end his misery, Jonah hears Rachel. Her request leads him on a journey that will bring not only closure but a reason to move forward. This sweet love story will have you smiling and cheering for Jonah and Hannah and the Rose they share.
Haylee Thorne ~ Phoenix and River are hot and heavy. Their chemistry is undeniable but can River save Phoenix from the man that wants to hurt her? A fun night out with the girls to celebrate a bachelorette party may not go as smoothly as planned. Their past causes the girls to have heavy security following them wherever they go.
You will be drawn into the festivities and enjoy every second of your escape with these two.
Michelle Windsor ~ A chance encounter with a Demi God on trans American flight leaves Chloe feeling tingles leading into the most important interview of her career. Fin is a nice sexy distraction and just what Chloe needed to calm her nerves during her flight. Easy flirting, a definite chemistry and a promise of dinner await her upon landing in NY. What happens next will surprise you and have you tingling for more.
Fighting For Our Forever.....Baby Style Heidi McLaughlin
A short and sweet trip back into the lives of Ajay, Whiskey, Evelyn and baby makes 4. I loved every minute Ajay and Whiskey are the perfect couple and I'm so happy we got this little snippet into their happily ever after.
Coming Home HJ Bellus
A great sneak peek at what I'm hoping will be another fabulous story from HJ Bellus. I need to know more about Annie and Weston and what their future may hold.
Whiskey and Rose's Kaylee Ryan
If like me you have already read Hey Whiskey by Kaylee Ryan and then is like an extended epilogue, sixteen years later and I absolutely loved it. If you haven't read Hey Whiskey then I'm guessing after this you will probably want to. It's coming up to Saylor and Rhetts sixteenth wedding anniversary and a surprise is in the pipeline for Saylor. It was wonderfull seeing how their family dynamic has changed over the years and that they are still as much in love now as they were in the beginning.
Where I Escspe Michelle Dare
I've previously read the books in the Arrow Fall series so already had an insight into who Blair and Finn were but that didn't stop me from falling for them all over again. Blair lived a nightmare of a marriage so for her to start a new relationship is a major thing but it's made much easier by the fact the man in question is her best friend and knows all there is to know about her. Blair and Finn are perfect for each this is a short and sweet not to be missed read.
The Way We Fell MJ Fields
I loved getting to know Kendell and Ben. I'm a new reader to MJ Fields so this was a great intro for me. It's a short story about two people who knew each other a long time ago and meet again in the the most unexpected places. I'm thinking there is so much more to their story and I can't wait to read it.
Crush by Adriana Locke was a great surprise for those of us who love Linton, Illinois and a great place to start for those new to Adriana or Linton! Delaney is minding her business and doing her laundry, okay sort off, when a hot as sin man walks in. Their attraction is instant and well, let me just say the story was full of hot and steamy chemistry and a night to remember! I really hope there is more here…
Love, Rose by Shari J. Ryan
I was not prepared for this powerful, emotional and touching story. The beginning broke my heart, Rose’s heartbreak was palpable. How she worked through it had me cheering her and the result of those letters, well they made my heart swell. For a short story, this one touched me in so many ways. Life may sometimes take you on a road you never expected, but it never means that is the end of the road! Loved this one so much!
Whiskey & Roses by Kaylee Ryan
I am a big fan of revisiting old friends and looking at their happily-ever-after and Whiskey & Roses by Kaylee Ryan was all that and more! Though this is also a great introduction for Hey, Whiskey as well, it can be read as a standalone. I loved seeing Rhett and Saylor living their HEA with family and friends. Their love was reflected in every page I read.
Mine to Protect by Kristin Mayer
This was a quick, fast-paced story with a bit of suspense! Austin and Scarlette are just getting their second chance and things are falling into place when suddenly there is danger surrounding them. Austin is determined to keep Scarlette safe no matter the cost. Their love was strong and unbreakable!
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the anthology!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!
I was blessed to read The Way We Fell: Ben and Kendall's story by M.J. Fields. Ben is smooth and a real gentleman. Kendall is smart, adventurous and knows what she wants ... and even more what she deserves. A beautiful beginning to a fairytale with a not-so-perfect path .. it's not all roses because with roses come thorns! But the ending is certainly fitting for a fairytale HEA!
This big fat juicy and delicious book is a collection of 17 short stories written by 17 talented authors. What’s even better about this beauty, is that “Jordyn’s Army” is a group of amazing and generous authors joining forces to help out a fellow author’s daughter. That’s a win win as far as I’m concerned! Good reading and for a good cause!
What an amazing collection of authors and short stories. I have laughed and cried my way through this. They have all had my heart as have the reason behind this anthology. Please, if you one click one anthology, make it this one.
I was lucky enough to be able read MJ Fields entry of The Way We Fell. I absolutely loved getting some more Legacy. I’ve always been curious about them. And now I have answers to some questions.
Fighting for Our Forever..Baby Style--Heidi McLaughlin
This short story was a cute and funny read. Having not read the Beaumont Series I will admit I was a little lost about some of the characters but no the less I really enjoyed reading it.
Rose--Kathy Coopmans
This story was HOTT!! Rose and Owen are a very unlikely match that in the end seem to work. Even though short their story was fun and steamy.
Waking Up to Forever--Amy Briggs
This story was more based on some of the aspects of Snow White. Even with that said this story really was good. I did not see many of the things that happened to Jackie and Jacob coming. In the end these two were meant to be together even if it was not the way they planned.
Crush--Adriana Locke
This was a fun read about Boone and Delaney. They meet over laundry and flirt. When Delaney is getting ready to leave Boone asks her out for drinks. They end up with more than drinks. I can't wait to read more about these two.
Love, Rose--Shari J. Ryan
When Rose's life that she has known for years ends she does what any of us would do and starts over. However, she needs to find a release in everything that happened. When doing so she starts to write letters that were not suppose to be mailed, however being who she is she mails them. What she didn't expect was.... (sorry I don't want to give it away)
Reunion--Julie A. Richman
This was an amazing Ten year high school reunion book. There are exes, best friends and many more. I will say that I did not see this short story going the way it did but in the end I loved every minute of it.
I can't wait to read the rest of these amazing short stories.
I have only read two of the stories to date but will be sure to sneak in some more.
Kaylee Ryan Whiskey & Roses 4.5 Stars I have not yet read about Rhett and Saylor prior but I will say that what I read in the few chapters has been marking it on my TBR and waiting impatiently to find some extra reading time. Rhett is definitely swoon worthy in his preparation for their anniversary party. They way Saylor is with the kids is something every mom strives for but she seems to do it without any stress in her chaos.
Kristin Mayer Mine to Protect 4 Stars You will find yourself pulled in very quickly with these characters and their chemistry. They are fun but the circumstances that they find themselves in gets a little tense. Scarlette is trying very hard not to let this all get to her but she feels she is being targeted and she didn't do anything. While Austin has gone into complete protection mode, rearranging the entrance so they don't have to go outside after parking in the garage. Creating passage between the two apartment's. It is super sweet.
First off I am very happy and honored to support this cause and will always support those fighting cancer. For these authors to step up and help makes you see just how this family has touched so many. Now to the books. Each author brings their own stories to life on the pages of this anthology, some authors I have read and follow , and other I am now going to read and get to know. HJ Bellus, Heidi McLaughlin, MJ Fields, Kathy Coopman just to name a few , are some I love to read so getting their stories was perfect. If you want great stories from awesome authors while supporting an great cause get this anthology you wont regret it.
M J Fields. No matter what this author writes it is always amazing. You become one with the characters. You are hooked from the first word until the last unable to put it down. Her stories are filled with so much. Happiness, sometimes sadness, romance, love, hot chemistry between characters, and so much more. From her first book to this one they just keep getting better and better. She knows what her readers want and always delivers. Always leaving them satisfied, well that is until her next book to dive into.
Crush-Adriana Locke Lots Heat in Only a Few Pages!
Wowza! Adriana Locke turned up the heat for Jordyn's Army where Boone and Delaney are concerned. In only a few chapters, she had me wanted much, much more from this quickly united couple, as well as thier friends. The Gibson Boys series has just been added to my TBR!
Crush - Adriana Locke I loved that we get to read a very short novella about Delaney (the friend that for Sienna to move to Illinois), and having a Gibson twist that I didn't see coming. This entire book is a beautiful collection of novellas for such a great cause. One-click for that reason alone.
