    Checked is an emotional romance that resonates. I highlighted way more passages than I care to admit, and I found myself tearing up, reading the connections and confessions between these two. The story itself is sweet and sexy, a ridiculously addicting page-turning romp. AND it’s moving. The pairing is pretty original. A chill, happy go lucky coed finally gets the man of her dreams, who happens to be a star athlete at the top of his game seven states away. Straight up, read Checked immediately. It deserves space on your Best of 2019 Shelf.

    Like all of Chance’s men, Clancy is funny, and has a straight up guy vibe that makes you fall for him. He’s just a great lead. He has a strong moral code, and he says what he means. He starts out as your typical college hockey bro with career tunnel vision, or so you think. There's a lot below the surface.

    Just one bite of Tenley’s forbidden fruit, and he’s pining away. Working a hidden agenda that includes a healthy dose of denial, yet Clancy never swerves into jerk territory. Of course he doesn’t, it’s Jacob Chance. He writes hot hot hot lovable men that feel real.

    Tenley is the same. I loved how laid back she was. And all the cute details that made her Tenley. She was so relatable, I wanted to hug her.

    Once Clancy entered the picture, she was a goner. The two of them literary squeezed my heart, and I had to clear the tears to write this review.

    I love this romance, and I didn’t want it to end. I found myself, “dizzy with longing, but content at the same time.” Tenley said that, but it sums up Checked perfectly.

    This contemporary sports romance is a great read and I totally enjoyed the characters and story line. The chemistry between Clancy and Tenley was undeniable and has been brewing for quite some time!

    Clancy Wilde is the captain of the Boston University Hockey team and has no time for a girlfriend/baby as he has his eyes firmly set on achieving his dream of playing hockey in the NHL.

    I never get tired of saying Jacob Chance knows his way around the genre of Sports Romance.     This is the first book in the Boston Terriers Hockey series and I could not wait to read my first Hockey romance. Checked is the Story of Clancy Wilde and Tenley Davonport. He is star of the BTHT and is the object of many girls affections. He’s built, deliciously handsome with his long blonde hair and has been Tenley’s crush for as long as she can remember. She is his cousins best friend, she’s stunning and any guy in his right mind could fall hard for her. Any guy that’s not Clancy that is, he has a plan for his hockey career and said plan does not involve having a girlfriend who could distract him from that.

    When Tenley’s teenage crush gives her the one thing she never thought possible her world is flipped on its axis. Throw in a surprise pregnancy and some downright swoon moments and you can’t help but want to loose yourself through the pages. These two leads are loveable, entertaining and will make your heart burst a little.

    If you’re a lover of all things Sports Romance and surprise pregnancies then this is a definite must click. I thoroughly enjoyed the first instalment in this new series.

    I barely like the troupe of angsty moments that could be resolved with a simple conversation but when one moment things are going great then the next everyone is full of feelings but no one is willing to say basic things. I get not wanting to risk getting hurt and “if I decide no then this person can’t hurt me with their no” but no one is even saying no. Plus these two are meant to have a baby. They’ll be divorced before the kid turns two or they’ll be super bitter as she meets up with her girlfriends to talk about having to do everything herself and he never does anything without her nagging him. Use your words because once you add kids no one has time to pry basic feelings out of you. And if you just “do it all yourself” then you will end up needing to continue to do it all.

    Checked is the first book in Jacob's Boston terriers hockey sports romance.

    We first meet Clancy in Jacob's first Boston terriers series.
    I loved Clancy then but loved him more in checked.
    Clancy is the captain of his hockey team and hockey is his life and his dream. Clancy and tenley have amazing chemistry. They also have known each other for a long time.

    We first meet tenley in depravity she is best friends with sophie who happens to be Clancy cousin. Sophie as warned tenley off Clancy.
    There is a wedding which both Clancy and tenley attend. They agree to only one night of hot and passionate s*x. They wont see each other again. Fate step in and the rest is history. Tenley ends up getting pregnant. She is 21 and is scared and surprised. She doesn't know how Clancy would react to the news. Like a pro he is he excepted it.
    I liked that he is there for tenley through out the pregnancy. They started as friends and it blossomed into more. Jacob also expresses the real life struggles of pregnancy that people go through every day. I was hooked right from the beginning.
    Jacob out did himself with this book.
    Cant wait for the rest of the Boston terriers hockey series.
    I highly recommend this book you wont be disappointed.

    Book 1 of the Boston Terriers Hockey Series is Clansy‘s Story. He appears frequently on the Boston Terriers Series so I’ve been looking forward to this one. As he was such a fun side character to read.

    First I got kind of annoyed by all those happy feelings when Clancy finds out he knocked up Tenley after they had a phenomenal one nicht stand. But he just is a wonderful guy and there story ends up being pretty good. I loved how Jacob got all the feelings that come with, them struggling with there feelings toward each other and pregnancy/giving birth and meeting the little one so absolutely on the point. I love the caring and lovable character and I enjoyed how great to see more of the relationship between him and his mom. It’s a wonderful written story. Looking forward to book 2

    Just when I think I cant love another couple from Jacob Chance, he goes and proves me wrong. I absolutely loved Tenley and Clanceys story! This hit close to home for me.
