Detective Holly Jennings and her team are called to investigate an unusual murder. A woman is found with a hole in the middle of her forehead. The man she's with was shot in the chest. No one saw anything out of the ordinary, nothing is missing from the hotel room.
What the detectives find is a couple who were not married ... and other couples in various cities have met the same fate. Holly has a gut feeling that this is a professional killer ... but what's the motive? All this violence for cheating spouses? Are the victims connected? Are these random killings? Personal revenge?
And the bodies keep piling up .....
This complex plot is filled with twists and turns, mystery and suspense, and deftly drawn characters who get under the skin and refuse to let go. There are many and varied suspects to keep an eye on ... some who are not who they want you to know...some with motives... almost all who lie at one time or another.
I like how the personal is blended with the professional ... Holly has her own personal demons which might dictate how this case goes... and how it might affect her husband and new baby.

I can honestly say this book had me turning pages from page 1 to the end as this arthur takes you on one wild ride of a psychological killer who was trying to redeem themselves to the person they called the director. This is the first book I've read by this arthur and I didn't know what to expect and I can say I was not disappointed. The book had everything I love in a psychological book...murder, trying to figure out who did it and talk about a twist😱 I thought I had it figured out and the arthur just pulls the rug out from under you with a twist I did not see that coming. I was looking for a suspense thriller story to sink my teeth in and boy did I find it in this book. I can't wait to read what this arthur writes next.

DA by A.K. Alexander is book our in her Holly Jennings Series. DA is a full length, stand-alone psychological thriller. For best reading experience I recommend to read the boks in order. The previous books are Daddy's House; Blood and Roses and The Preference.
DA delivers another breathtaking case for CSI profiler Holly. Holly who's life seems perfect. Doting husband, cutie pie of a baby, life's good, til a new case turns out to become personal - and her own secrets don't help either.
Another fast paced, action packed case, suspenseful, unputdownable, full of twists and unexpected turns for the team around the heroine. Loved reading this book, 4,75 stars.

Deadly Affair
What a wonderful easy to read mystery thriller this is. I have clearly read it out of sequence but it clearly does not matter. Holly Jennings is lovely and I look forward to reading about her again.

Mind boggling !
The evil one person can do to another is often beyond comprehension ! Fiction too often follows actual police cases!
