Steel Crew #6

Busted Steel

Rate this book
She’s the forbidden fruit, and I’m her dirty fantasy.
Four years ago, she kissed me. She said she was nineteen. She wasn’t even close. To make it even worse, she’s daddy’s little princess.
Then, a year ago, I was hired to head a security team for her out-of-control younger sister while on a world tour with the band Foreplay. I vowed to stay away from her, becoming a shadow in the dark whenever she was around.
Now she’s been hired to photograph her sister’s sixty-day honeymoon, all around the world.
She’s not a little girl anymore. She makes damn sure I notice that, too. But I’m still the same man.
Falling is not an option. However, each day, she’s making it harder and harder to avoid.
I promised myself not to break her heart, yet mine lies in busted pieces all over the world.

* Disclaimer * MJ does an unreal job of taking taboo topics and molding them so that you understand and feel for the characters. This book hit on a lot of triggering topics but know that it’s always done with the utmost care.

Wow! Brisa & Ranger are undeniably meant to be together. It’s clear from the beginning. If only we saw ourselves the way others do, we’d save ourselves some heartache.

Brisa is just trying to find herself. Take much needed time away and really figure out what she wants to do. The Steel crew can be a bit overwhelming but family is everything so when plans change, she seizes her opportunities where she can but still can’t let go of that family loyalty at the same time.

Ranger has accomplished many things in life but he doesn’t let himself realize it. Having to grow up quickly and roughly, he’s set his boundaries and he’s not breaking them. For anyone. Not even the girl who caught him off guard. He knew he could fall but stopped himself. Then life hands him this chance, well temptation is more like it.

Together Ranger and Brisa work through some tough scenarios, mostly of the past. Their chemistry is red hot and palpable but is it enough to fight for? HELLYES!

Must read! This next gen of the Steel Crew has not disappointed and definitely has not been anything like I thought I would get. MJ has exceeded this next gen series. If you’re a fan of the OG’s buckle up cuz they’re in Busted Steel too💙

Oh you lucky people i hope your all buckled in and ready for the ride of your life, this book will take you on a wild roller coaster ride all over the world giving you lots of emotions in some beautiful settings.

Brisa Steel eldest daughter to Zandor and Bekah is in desperate need to prove she is a woman who knows what she wants and is ready to fight for it if only her parents will let go of the reigns a little, she'll ride this roller coaster of life hard but will she come out stronger or will she be burned a long the way.

Ranger is ex military, and has many a dark secret of his own that have left him with rules he will not break or will he for the right woman.

Brisa and Ranger met 4 years prior, had a connection from the off but that was until Ranger found out that the young woman was really too young for him and belonged to a family that had given him a chance since leaving the military. Fours years on and they are thrust into spending time together travelling the world, Ranger being the security detail to Brisa's young musical star sister Tris who has just married and Brisa wanting to take a year out of college but family not wanting her out on her own so she takes up an offer from her sister Tris to photograph her honeymoon and look after the pr side, this gives Brisa a chance to find herself and prove to her family that she has grown and can stand on her own.

I promise this is a book that you don't want to miss the talented MJ always gives us more.

🔥 Sassy and Bad@$$y🔥

Wyatt Dalton, aka Ranger .. one HAF alpha male 🔥🔥🔥

Experiencing Brisa, aka Sassy, aka Little Bit, know who and what she wants and not being afraid to go after it (or him) took me on an unexpected trip that I enjoyed even more than I could've ever imagined!

What an amazing insight into the life of an empath. I felt so much through Brisa's experiences.

MJ's writing style hits me so hard. I never feel like I'm reading a story, when I read the words she's shared with the world. It's more like I'm apart of the living, the feelings, and the experiences of the characters she so generously shares with us.

I loved experiencing the sisters, Tris and Brisa, work through their relationship.

The Steel family took ahold of my heart so many years ago and they've never returned it, and I'm more than ok with that! I've thoroughly enjoyed all the Steel Crew so far and can not wait for more Crew. And don't get me started on the 3rd generation slightly "steeling" the show. How danggone cute can they be?! Read the book to find out, but Im telling you they were beyond cute and had little bad@$$ Steel vibes coming from Archer and Cooper.

Oh Ranger you sexy beast of a man! That cover was hot enough without the comparisons to Jax Teller, I knew this one was going to be something special and I was not disappointed. This left me with all the feels, I could not put it down and once I started, I devoured it in one sitting. There was just something special about the journey that these two went on, figuratively and literally. In a year that can be described as nothing short of crazy, this book hit the spot at a time when we have been locked up in our homes, dreaming of vacations and travel, this was a beautiful escape to entice the senses and had me feeling nostalgic to want to travel and explore the world again.

Bris really came into her own, once she was out from under her parents wings and set free to travel for a few months with her sister she found her inner strength. Her relationship with Ranger started with a forbidden kiss at age 15 and now four long years later without any further contact, she must prove to Ranger that she is all woman and not the little girl he once saw her as. He bears the scars of a hard fought life and has walls of titanium around his heart that will take a special woman to break through. Those ladies of Steel are just as tough as their first gen parents. I absolutely adore the Steel family, but I have to say, daddy Ranger stole the show for me this time. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC and this is my honest review.

Ranger is my new wet dream man!
Brisa's book is not one i would say i was "biting nails" waiting for, but damn i should have been. If you're a fan of Mj's & Men of Steel & Crew, you already know a little about Ranger.. Hot as Hell tat guy, military man & quick with a smile for the ladies. Brisa is Zandors oldest & has loved Ranger since 15..
This book took me on such an emotional ride from page one! I seriously could not step away from it. I learned so much about the girls & why they've acted the way they do & it honestly had me crying...In steps Ranger, & he has his own horrific demons to be fought. He is so damn closed off and afraid he not enough. My heart broke for the man & crumbled for the boy.
Busted Steel is a hurricane of emotions & whirlwind of highs & lows but god it's so worth the ride.
I don't know how Mj does it. She pulls you in with every chapter she writes & holds onto you until the very last page. She is truly one of my favorite Authors & EVERY BOOK she writes is a whole new world that you're dying to stay in....5stars is NOT enough!

One of my favourite things about this series is the family connection and the way we get to know a little bit more about them with each new book. Ranger is a recurring character who we first me in Tagged Steel and Brisa is Zandor and Bekah's eldest daughter. This was like having two books in one as we also get the story of Brisa and her younger sister Tris and how they heal their relationship. We follow the group around the world which was written so beautifully I could visualise myself in each location. I enjoyed reading the conflict between the main characters it helped with getting to know them on a deeper level. I kind of admired Brisa for having the conviction to go after who she wants even if he isn't always completely on board. Watching Ranger fight his feelings whilst dealing with his past gave some added drama to the story. The Steel family are unlike any other and I love how they may disagree and fight but the lover between them never wavers. I am hopeful we will get to see Tris's story from her own perspective.

Another Hit!!

These books just get better! The Steel Series is such a Hott series!
I am addicted to this series. Each one is standalone with a hea!
This is Brisa Steel story. At 15 is when she met Ranger who is much older, but to her he is the love of her young life.
Forward nine years and she finds herself traveling with him and her newly married younger sister, Tris and her husband.
Ranger-Wyatt Dalton traveling. Tris’ honeymoon around the world with Ranger as their security.. Ranger has a scarred past, he doesn’t do relationships, especially with a beautiful and much younger lady, Brisa.
But wow! Their attraction is on fire 🔥 The sexual attraction that turns into love ❤️ As the storyline progresses, we learn about Tris and her bipolar diagnosis. I can relate to mental illnesses in my family and I love how it’s mentioned in this.
Wonderful storyline, lots of familiar and loving characters!
Intense and emotional beautiful storyline, with some laugh out loud moments. I am already looking forward to Amias’ story!

This is an honest review for an arc received.

“I want to take a million pictures so that I can look at them anytime I feel the need to see that kind of tangible magic.”

Brisa Steel is an empath. She feels the emotions of those around her, especially the ones she loves and holds close to her heart. She’s been in love with Ranger for the past 4 years. When given the chance to travel the world and be her sister Tris’ photographer she jumps at the chance. But when she finds out that her one true love will be with them, making sure they stay safe, will the sparks fly?

“I love you more than all the forevers, Brisa.”

Wyatt “Ranger” Dalton is a former biker, ex-military man and a security specialist entrusted with keeping Tris Steel safe. He’s had a hard life, but always made sure Brisa was taken care of and safe from afar. Convinced he will never love or be loved, he begins to open his heart to her. Will she overcome his demons? Will she show him how great loving someone and being loved can be?

“ I love you more than all the stars.”

5 swoon worthy stars!!! I loved Ranger since the first moment he was introduced to the Steel Crew. He is a perfect fit into this family. You will fall in love with Brisa. She loves with her entire being and sees the best in everyone. I totally loved her sassy attitude. MJ nailed the chemistry between these two. Although there are some taboo topics this story was so well written that you feel everything from these characters. I loved all of the magical places that they travelled. Even though this story has a big dose of alpha male, I love the sprinkles of sass and attitude that this Steel girl delivers! #ForeverSteel

Brisa fell in love with Ranger when she was a teenager, and she wasn’t about to be deterred by the fact that he was more than a decade older however the same can’t be said for him. When she is given the opportunity to not only commemorate her sister’s honeymoon in pictures but to travel as well she never expected that it would reunite her with the man she can’t forget.

When Ranger and Brisa first met he knew she was younger but finding out her true age was a deal breaker as he felt too much older both in years and in experience for anything to happen between them. Providing security for her sister may be a challenge but the biggest challenge may be denying the feelings he has for Brisa.

Brisa sees the man that Ranger truly is and not only knows that they belong together but is determined that he will realize it as well. Her feisty personality is exactly what he needs in his life and they couldn’t be more perfect for each other.

Brisa has known since the age of 15 that she wanted Ranger.
11 years her senior and feeling undeserving of love it takes a round the world trip and losing Brisa before Ranger comes to terms with his feelings.
In a year were we’ve barely left the confines of our homes it was nice to travel the world through these written words and experience new places with a small part of the Steel crew.
This book isn’t only about healing Brisa and Rangers hearts but learning more about the sisterly bond between Brisa and her younger sister Tris.
After reading this book I would’ve liked her book next, to read some of her struggles from her own point of view but their brother Amias is up first, looking forward to what’s in store for him love wise.

Ranger and Brisa's epic love storey and that is what it is ...epic.
We met Ranger in Tagged Stell, Brisa met Ranger is Laced Steel when she was 15 and he was 26. But she of course said she was 19 and he found out when he was invited to family dinner.
Now ranger is security for Tris, being a newly-wed she wants her sister to photograph her honeymoon and post the amazing pictures of it.
Now Ranger will be around Brisa for a while, how is he going to ignore his inner desire.
Brisa see the opportunity to get Ranger to see her as grown ass women and hopes that he will fall in love with her.
But will the plan work?

I love how the characters interwine from previous books because you have seen them grow

This story left me absolutely speechless! We finally get Ranger’s story and what a story it is. Brisa was like the little sister I never had and I loved seeing her inner strength. The story is about forgiveness, learning and the bonds of family and loyalty. I can’t wait for what this author has in store for us next!!

So despite vowing to check out after the mess that was Patrick’s book I couldn’t stop myself from reading to the end and checking for safety, before then actually reading it for real. It was safe, no virgins or detailed history about hero etc. There is an age gap which isn’t really my thing, but I felt like it was done pretty well. My only real problem with it is that it was very obvious that 50% of this books purpose was to set up Tris’ book. The breadcrumbs were all there and it’s looking like despite her upbringing and his having Mel for a mom Marcello is just as sadistic as his father. It’s revealed that Tris is Bipolar so that at least explains some of her issues. The way the breadcrumbs are shaping up Tris’ book will be the bastard child of the 27 lies/ truths duet (although really the first part of it was this book) and Sabato. She is happy with a husband who loves her and doesn’t bring out the worst in her. He will be killed off (I’m betting by the breadcrumbs that it’s a heart defect) and Marcello will pop back in. Since it’s listed as a dark romance it’s pretty obvious that he will put her through hell first, and through the magic that is the suspension of disbelief, we will all have to pretend that a person who is bipolar can just put aside how their brain processes things to play sick games with him until he is bored and decides he just wants to love her. Then she will magically be ok without having any lasting trauma (because that’s more convenient to an author needing a HEA for posterity). That one I would already definitely be skipping if for no other reason than the recycled plot lines are getting really annoyed. The way most of these kids are basically carbon copies of their parents probably makes writing easier but reeks of a lack of creativity. I already read their parents story, if I wanted a re read I would just do that. The bigger issue though is that I absolutely hate when authors rewrite mental heath issues to conveniently fit their plot, instead of just writing a better plot. Make up your own disease and give it a new name, but don’t take something that is very real and just decide that it’s ok for you to play God with deciding what they would handle and recover from when every single mental health professional out there would shout “hell no” at where this is going. I haven’t read it yet (it’s due out in a few months) but I can already tell the author that she is wrong by what happened in this book. I really miss some of her older books. Although I know that she has always jumped around tropes and genres, this gen has been a bit of a mind$&@! I have enjoyed a couple, but also have been so disappointed I (overall) wish that they hadn’t happened.

Ranger & Brisa's story

Ranger we met I feel like a life time ago when Bella was working with Tags on the show.
Brisa felt empowered by him and kissed him. BUT she lied about her age to him said she was 19 & not her real age of 15 he had he's personal demons he had to work through but 4years later he can't deny she really is 19 and all woman!!
She turns his world inside out n back to front.

But as alwAys there's always a HEA 💜🌈💜

"You're the one who believes in fairy tales, the one who sees beauty in everything, the one who always loved the damsel in distress in the movies and wanted to be her. You are gentle and kind, and so damn innocent. Don't fault me because I want that for you." -Zandor Steel

I'll start out by saying that, so far, Busted Steel is my favorite in the Steel Crew series, with Justified being a very close second. Guys, you're in for a trip with this one. Literally! We're jet setting with Brisa, Ranger, Tris, Matteo (Tris's Spanish husband), and co., and there are even some pretty little postcards drawn for us on each chapter page! How cute is that?

The kids are officially out of high school (except Max) and exciting things are happening! No spoilers here, though! But I will say that a certain Steel has recently been drafted to play for the Yankees. Any guesses?

I was very excited to meet Brisa, and she's even more lovely than I thought. To me, she seemed wise beyond her years, and definitely has a peacemaker vibe about her. She's badass, of course. She's Steel! What else could she be? But she is so, so sweet and kind and the best big sister ever. I loved seeing her interact with her family. I loved the dynamic between Brisa, Amias, and Tris. Brisa, of course, is the oldest and I'm sure you firstborns out there will be able to relate to her on many levels. She is the classic firstborn. She spends most of her time with Tris, obviously, since she is travelling with her, and we witness their bond becoming stronger amid some "sister issues." We also get to know Tris better. After all, we're also travelling with her!

Ranger is a man with a story. Again, no spoilers, but I will say his backstory made me as weepy as Tara's did, and that's a pretty high bar. He's a good guy, despite the odds. All things considered, he could easily have turned out, well.... not good. He is a veteran, and it should go without saying, he's hot as hell.

If it's drama you're craving, then this is a must-read. While travelling, we're going into some uncharted territory for our beloved Steels. Busted Steel touches on the pain and struggle of mental illness, those diagnosed with it, as well as how it affects their loved ones. There are some gut wrenching moments, and if you're like me, you'll say "oh God, no" out loud a few times. In fact, we readers should prepare ourselves for more of this later in the series. I'm sure this was the setup for a deeper, darker story to come. M.J. Fields never promised us a rose garden, right? But hey! It's ok. You'll also say "oh God, yes!" several times, so it evens out!

Busted Steel checked all the boxes for me. MJ Fields really is great at character development, and Busted has the most lovable ones yet. There is pure, unadulterated sexiness and no shortage of dirty talk. There is drama in every country we visit. Heck, there's drama before we even leave Jersey. I think it's great that this book went darker than usual. I'm sure a lot of us are able to relate to what Bekah and Zandor's precious daughters are going through (and y'all, it's a lot.) I couldn't put it down, and ended up finishing it way too soon. Now I'm bored. Anyone want to go bowling? No? Okay.

Oh, I almost forgot! There's a llama! Yes, a freaking llama! Now you HAVE to read it!

Good read

Like the maturity of the second generation steels. There’s a lot to take in with this story and I struggled with the destructive relationships between the sisters and the previous romances. Once I settled into the book explanations were provided but the animosity from Marcelo was never resolved. Perhaps he’ll get his own story. That said liked the second chance romance.

A lot happens in this book. Because I haven't read the previous books in this series, some backgrounds were not as clear to me, but this didn't detract from the story.

Brisa is in Italy with her family for her younger sister Tris’ wedding. There is some drama involving Tris’ ex, but eventually things work out. After the wedding, the newlyweds ask Brisa to join them on their honeymoon to document their travels, and so she can make their social media look good (they're book artists in the public eye). Brisa was already planning to take a gap year, so she doesn’t hesitate long in accepting the offer. She even gets full freedom in planning the trip.

They are joined by Ranger, who is employed as a bodyguard. No big deal, except that Brisa has been crushing on him since she was 15. She wouldn't mind exploring this further, now that she's legal. There is still, however, a rather substantial age cap to consider. Also, Ranger has his fair share of emotional trauma holding him back. He firmly believes that he's incapable of being in a relationship, so he only seeks out casual liaisons, rooted in mutual gratification.

Brisa has a wonderful travel bucket list, which she taps into for this trip. I really liked how the author described the various places they visit and how they experience these countries and cultures.

The chemistry between Brisa and Ranger is undeniable, but Ranger tries to fight it at first. He then decides to give in, but they agree to keep feelings out of it. Good luck, empath Brisa. Of course, this backfires. During their travels, they learn more about each other, though, with Ranger in particular opening up about what he's experienced. It's not full disclosure, but enough for Brisa to realize there's a reason he tried to keep his distance.

Once Brisa decides it's time to choose herself over a dysfunctional non-relationship, Ranger gets a wake-up call, prompting him to reevaluate his lifestyle choices. He needs to determine what's more important to him, then fight for it. I did like this growth in his character, but found the resolution to be a bit too easy. Or maybe that's just what happens when you're destined for someone.

This book is no fluffy read, only dealing with romantic interludes in various exotic locations, though. The author touches on several difficult topics, such as PTSD, mental health, and abuse. While some might find these topics triggering, I found them discussed in a respectful way that furthered the story. These issues help shape the characters, their relationships, and their growth. I particularly liked how Brisa and Tris were being able to grow closer again, once the underlying issues were disclosed and open for discussion.

I will lead off by saying I ADORE an age-gap romance. These men tend to have been single until now because they haven't found the other part of their soul, and it is so fun watching them get knocked on their a**es by confident, strong, young women who know what they want, despite what everyone else is telling them.

And that is precisely what M.J. Fields has given us with Busted Steel.

As I always do, I will recommend that you don't read this one unless you are at least caught up with AT LEAST the original Men of Steel and the Steel Crew series'. Although I would recommend also reading Ties of Steel, Tied in Steel and Steel Country, as these characters and their stories do show up in parts.

Busted Steel is the story that we have all been waiting for! We first meet 25 year-old Ranger, aka Wyatt Dalton, in Tagged Steel, which is the first of the Steel Crew series. He's fairly peripheral to the story, other than he's part of the reality tv show for tattoo artist ex-cons that brings Bella and Tags together. We get our best and juiciest glimpse of him when he runs into Brisa "Little Bit" Steel at an underground fight in Laced Steel. Brisa, who is 15, worms her way into Ranger's heart with her sweet nature, then plants a juicy kiss on him. She tells him she's 19 and dashes away. Unfortunately for her, he shows up to her house the next day and finds out she is not indeed 15. Before it all goes sideways, we get a look into Brisa's head where she has already decided Ranger is it for her. Her forever, the father of her babies, the whole shebang. It breaks her heart when he does the understandably correct thing and cuts off communication with her.

I just knew there would be a delicious story for them to come in the future and I could kiss M.J. for finally giving it to us.

Busted Steel starts four-years later when Brisa and Ranger are thrust together on a trip that neither of them can get out of. Cue the chemistry that has been between them all along and they can't ignore it when they are literally spending every day together. I absolutely loved them together. Ranger was so broken and Brisa had never endured hardship in her life. He thought she wouldn't get it and she knew he just needed to let her in. Seeing Brisa break down his walls and allow him to be the man inside was so beautiful. And the ending. *swoon* I've reread it a million times because it gives me all the feels.

On top of how awesome Busted Steel was, there were a few juicy tidbits about some potential goodies in the books to come and I absolutely love that we never leave a Steel couple behind. I love continuing to learn more about everyone, even when their books are over.

I don't know where to start with this review other than to say that I was hooked on Ranger and Brisa's story from page one. This pair had me captivated with where their story was going to go next as they ventured throughout the world.

In this installment of the second generation of the Steel family we get Brisa's story. The story starts at the near end of where we left off with Patrick's story and we go on an adventure to boot. We have also ventured out of the high school scene, not much out of it but enough so that as a reader it was nice to see where this crew was going while not divulging what was to come with the others. We also get a better look at Ranger, who we briefly met in Truth's story.

In what started out as a means to spread her wings, Brisa travels to some amazing places with her newly wed sister Tris and husband Matteo under the guise of photographing their honeymoon. Since Tris is popular singer, security is needed - enter Ranger for this trip around the world. Ranger and Brisa had a brief past that once truths were told, ended as quickly as it started. Thrown together for this trip an agreement is forged and the pair start what was supposed to be only a secret physical relationship that turned into more.

Throughout this book, Ranger was such a mystery. He never faltered as the protected and alpha male that he started out as but as the story progressed I got to see him start to acknowledge his possible feelings and provide glimpses into his past as he struggles with his developing feelings for Brisa. Brisa on the other hand I felt stayed true to herself and grew stronger as a person despite her feelings growing even stronger for Ranger. I was kind if heart broken toward the end while applauding her for being brave enough to take the step that she did.

This story was an adventure from the start and in a year where it felt like I spent a lot of time as a captive in my own home, it came as a great escape. The places that were described in the pages of this book sounded amazing to me making me long to travel again.

So much can be said for this book but in the end, I can only describe it to be as amazing. It can also be called a highly needed or must read just like the rest of the books of this series.

Brisa, this girl is everything I could have hoped for a so much more. Brisa is Zandor and Bekah's oldest daughter. She's trying to prove herself not only to her family but to a man that she wants more with. For Brisa, this is a story of not only learning who she is and what she wants out of life, but it's about being seen as more to those around her.

Ranger has a past. He's former military. Ranger has rules he lives by. One of those rules is not to mess with the boss's kid, his very young kid. Only one small problem with that rule, he already broke it one. But he's not going to do it again, even for a chance at love.

Brisa and Ranger couldn't be thrust into a more awkward position even if they tired. Brisa's under sister just got married. Now on her honeymoon, Tris, wants Brisa there to document the adventure. But Tris being the celebrity and all she needs security. Enter Ranger and his hot self. What's the worse that could happen? Right? Wrong...there is no denying the feelings between these two. The ride these two go on was one I might not be prepared for.

In true MJ fashion, this book was everything I could have asked for and so much more. I loved getting to travel the world through this story. In the times of COVID, it was great to go on an adventure, even if it was on the pages of a book. This beautiful rollercoaster of a story was everything and so much more. Please check out this amazing book!

Busted Steel will have you fall in love with Brisa and Ranger while they tour the world trying not to fall in love with each other!

Brisa Steel is now nineteen, her time at Seashore Academy is done, and she’s figuring out what to do next... Her younger sister Tris has just got married and has convinced Brisa to travel with the newlyweds to document their honeymoon as they travel the world. Brisa has the biggest heart and agrees because she loves Tris plus she wants an adventure, she wants to travel, to find herself and to experience life outside the family. Also accompanying them on the trip is the head of security for Tris, Ranger. Wyatt Dalton, aka Ranger, was Brisa’s first real kiss and the first man to break her heart. And that was four years ago. At the time she’d lied about her age but everything was ultimately revealed because Ranger had ties to the Steel family even back then. These days she’s all grown up and he’s noticed. He’s wildly attracted to her but in his eyes she’s young and he knows she deserves better than what he has to offer which is the fact he’s ex-military, someone with a past, someone with scars, someone who has sworn off relationships and someone who is eleven years older than her. It’s decided they’ll have a holiday fling, to keep this between them and for no one to fall in love just so no one will get hurt. Like all things Steel, family is there to watch it all unravel... And the last laugh seems to be on the Steel men who it seems have all brought up their daughters to fall in love with men just like their dads!!!

Author writes a note To The Reader that you need to pay attention to before you proceed.

Brisa is a young woman who thinks and acts like someone older. She lets us in on some of her memories that will give you a chuckle or two. Ranger has past regrets. He’s a man who likes to take charge – definitely an alpha male.

You can tell there’s an age gap but it’s nothing that should make you feel uncomfortable. A way you can tell is in how they each act and during the times we go back in time. Brisa reminds me of some of the girls you see when you’re at the beach or walking around – a younger woman trying to grab attention. Our author must know that I watch way too many of the reality crime shows. I was actually watching one at the time of writing this review and parts of this story would fit in perfectly. On the opposite end of that she knows how to kick the heat up.

The author is good at writing some awkward moments that gave me a snicker or two at someone else’s expense. She’s also good at creating men that command our attention and women that when you first meet can’t see how these two are ever going to end up together. That’s a great way to keep my attention and looking to see how it all ends. And the ending just left wondering if I’m going to see them again. And you know what that means, I’ll have to keep following this series.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Wow, what a way to start of the 2021 year!!!! This is not a book that I was looking forward too like some of the others. I love Steel, so I am also looking to read more of them when I can!! They NEVER disappoint. This one is no different. Brista, oh Brista!!!! She is strong and sassy!! After all, she is Zandor Steels daughter, what else would you expect!!! I love watching how her and her sister mend their relationship. Brista tends to act a little older than she is. But she wants to be seen as the woman that she has become and not a kid. We first got to see Ranger in Tagged. Ranger is definitely an alpha male. He is a lot older than Brista. Like 11 years older than her. But she doesn't care. Ranger has rules that he abides by. But Ranger has a story!!!! Ranger is a very complicated man. Seeing him fight his feelings for Brista through this book just adds to it. This book is like all of MJ's other book!! It is a roller coaster of emotions!!!!! But one that I simply love and will get on every time that I can!!!!

MJ did an amazing job of writing this story just like she always does. She sucks you into the story line and makes it to where you don't want to put the book down. This one is no exception! Another great read!!! Steel Family is still my favorite read, Forever Steel!!!!!

This is the 6th book of the next gen Steel Crew series. I like to read them all in order. You could pick this up as a stand alone but I think you miss out on the history with the characters. This is Brisa's story. I was happy to see we have moved forward in the time line and are out of high school. There are some flash backs to when Brisa and Ranger meet as well as what Brisa was doing during events that happened in previous books. But that all brings us to the present.

I thought that this book was a wonderful escape. We still get the same Steel grit and sassiness. But this is a world tour. A vacation. A chance to grow and find out who you want to be and who you want to be to other people. Both Ranger and Brisa have some walls that need to be overcome. Of course, rule number one of their deal was to not catch feelings. You know how that goes. Once all the barriers fell, though, whew! These two were smoking hot!

Loved, loved , loved the ending. I can't wait to see the rest of the guys in the Crew get their HEA. I'm a little concerned with Tris. What else might come her way? I have a feeling we don't know the whole final picture for her yet.

Great story once again by this author. Read the whole series!
