    This is the latest in the Fort Collins branch of the Montgomery family and while it certainly helps if you're family with the Montgomery's, this can be enjoyed as a standalone read. It must be a reaction to coming from large families as both Brenna and Benjamin are the right amount of quirky individually and together. I actually loved this couple and they've certainly become one of the favourite couples in these stories. While there wasn't any particular drama that occurred, there were things that happened that could certainly be real life happenings which makes the book seem that much more wonderful. If an author can write a book about things that could happen in my world, and make it this good, then I'm hooked.

    I jumped right into this story and couldn’t put it down.

    Brenna Garrett, an honorary Montgomery, has been feeling a bit awkward at Montgomery family gatherings lately. Her best friend is engaged, and there is love everywhere. Brenna does not want a relationship but she does want a baby.

    Benjamin Montgomery is thrown for a loop when his ex and her new girlfriend tell him they are wanting a baby and would like him to be the donor.

    There’s a road trip, a hot one night romp, families being families, confusion, pregnancies, more hot sexy scenes, and a very sweet friends to lovers HEA.

    Inked Devotion is part of the Montgomery Ink series by Carrie Ann Ryan. The book focuses on Brenna Garret and Benjamin Montgomery, to people who have been friends forever and through circumstance end up on a road trip together where their attraction for each other comes to a head. To make matters more complicated, everyone has an opinion on both of their lives and their relationship. But as we know, love can happen when you’re not looking for it and friends can become more in an instant.

    I really enjoyed reading about Brenna and Benjamin’s story. It was a little complex as both of them had things going on in their own lives individually, not just when they got together, and things became even more complex. The family dynamics were interesting as was how both Brenna and Benjamin think they fit into each of their families.

    This was a sweet and steamy romance with plenty of the feels in between. Both characters try so hard to protect themselves that sometimes they couldn’t see what was right in front of them. Throw in some complications and twists and this makes for a great friends to lovers to romance. Secondary characters were also great and at times funny, infuriating and nosey (as most siblings and other family members are). Overall, a really sweet read!

    This was a very good book to read.
    Brenna is going on a road trip for her families reunion as she needs time to think.
    Benjamin has been asked to do something for his ex. He needs time to think.
    The trip was good for them and now they have consequences from there one night stand.

    In Inked Devotion Benjamin and Brenna head off on a road trip together, both needing some headspace around some major decisions in their own lives. Along with clarity, they find each other, although the path forward has its own hurdles.
    Inked Devotion is a joyful romp through a few well-loved romance tropes. It is fun and sexy, and delivers exactly what is promised.

    Friends to lovers with a surprise. This story takes you through a maze of emotions. There is heartache, and happiness, and you feel Brenna's longing for love and a family of her own (even if she plans on doing it by herself). The Montgomery family is loving and welcoming and Benjamin's relationship with his ex is so sweet. Another great read by Carrie Ann Ryan.

    When life throws a couple of curveballs to Brenna and Benjamin, a get away is what they both need.

    Brenna was already planning a trip to see her family for a reunion. It was a much needed trip out of town to get away from the pitying looks and the fact no one believed her about her not being in love with her best friend, Becket. It was getting downright anger inducing.

    For Benjamin the need to get away had a whole lot less to do with his twin and Brenna and a whole lot more to do with a request by an ex-girlfriend and her wife. Ben has a lot to think about and a quiet road trip with a friend is just the thing he needs. Luckily, Brenna agrees to let him tag along.

    Along the way Benjamin and Brenna do some talking about the secrets they're holding. But a road closure due to a severe thunderstorm derails their progress for a night. The road closure also derails other travelers, so when lodgings are needed, they opt to share one room instead of taking the last both of the last two available.

    Needless to say, things happen. Partially due to alcohol, but also due to mutual attraction and a need for stress relief.

    Where do these two go from there? Will they continue on their journey and chalk up the night to just one night? Will they explore where this could lead? Will this be a complete disaster?

    To answer those questions you're going to have to read the book. I mean I can't tell you EVERYTHING. I can tell you that it's a bit of a tangle and some unexpected turns are thrown into the mix. However, this is a romance so the happily ever after does happen. And is well worth the time, money and effort to read this great work by Carrie Ann Ryan.

    This is a standalone novel that is part of the Montgomery Ink world/family. It is NOT neccessary to read any of the previous works to read this one. I do, however, recommend reading Beckett's story in Inked Obsession before diving into this one. Just for a deeper understanding of where things stand for Brenna, especially.

    As usual, Carrie Ann does a fantastic job with world building and character development. It's why I've been a huge fan for so long.
