M. Johnson delivers an age gap romance that has you rooting for Lexi and Dom from the very beginning.The story starts out with Lexi in Paris for a wedding and her friend, that is back home, suggests that she cut loose, do something that she wouldn't normally do. Sounds intriguing doesn't it.This story was so engrossing that I started it and didn't stop reading until it was finished. I couldn't get enough of this off the charts HOT read, It was dark, suspenseful, and super steamy. Now, it has me wondering what M.     This was one of the very most scintillating, titillating books I’ve read for some time. I love an older man who falls for the younger woman and vice versa. This one corners the market on steam.
    Others have spoken about the triggers, of which there are several, but if you look at the front of the book right after the title page there is a link to those explicit warnings.
    Lexi Hunter is in her early twenties, recently broken up with latest boyfriend and her best friend Jay recommends Lexi do something spontaneous, wild and crazy while in Paris. Lexi goes back to her hotel room and decides to strip in front of the window, not knowing that there is a man watching her in the room across the alley, which is very, very close. These scenes are off the charts provocative! No sharing about what happens here but when she returns home to Melbourne, Australia, her male roommate Nate wants to become more than friends. Because she doesn’t want to hurt his feelings, she goes along with it but SLOWLY. When she meets Nate’s dad, things get really interesting…remember the man who watched her strip? You saw that coming, didn’t you?! But wait…there’s more…
    I LOVED this book. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. A well-written, steamy, fast-paced, arousing, page-turner that will have you squirming in your chair. A touch of intrigue too. Do the characters appear to be what they really are? I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and I give it great praise for a fiery older man/younger woman story.

    Let's start. Absolutely loved this book, it's amazing because as far as I know it's a debut novel. 3 things I'm very critical about: writing, character depth and physical/emotional bond between the MCs.

    The writing was great and the characters had depth! The s*x scenes were honestly the best and so steamy. Not gonna complain about the rough s*x, it was right up my ally 🤣. I just wish there was a deeper emotional connection between them. In the epilogue Dom gets emotional and thinks back on how he dealt with losing his son. There's also a small conversation with Lexi where she's worried about him and I wish there was more of this in the actual book. Because of the attempted su*c!de, it definitely could've used more conversations between the MCs. How they dealt with the loss but also how Lexi felt about losing Nate and what he did to her, I can't imagine what she went through and even if he didn't r*pe her (no p*n*tration), she was assaulted and it leaves imprints. I also would've liked more about her sister who died and loved her friend Jay but we don't really get to know her. Oh and also how did Dom start up these businesses in Europe?? Was this after his wife died or did she participate in the clubs too?? I have so many questions.

    Because of this I didn't give it a full 5 stars, but it didn't disappoint and it's a really great read. My favourite character has to be Dom! He was by far more developed and went through so much, I just wanted to hug him and put him somewhere far away from everyone to take care of him.

I don’t usually like books with twisted tales like father going after his sons woman but THIS was something altogether different.     Right from the first chapter this book delivers heart stopping, delicious scenes between Dom and Lexington. Their connection and chemistry is hot and practically jumps off the page.
    The various back stories of these characters are so sad, so tragic. But it helps to take the male lead from this intangibly husband, wealthy, sexy god of a man, to a relatable, hurting man who needs the woman he fell in love with.
    I did not anticipate the conflict resolution that the author throws our way and it is mind blowing for a bit. Overall, the story is steamy, sexy, and pretty suspenseful. A wonderful read!

It was steamy sexy erotic and Heartbreaking . what Lexie goes through in her life is traumatic . After having a steamy one night stand with a stranger in Paris Lexie can't seem to get him off her mind. I will warn you though This story not for the faint hearted. There is hot rough sex, suicide, drug use and sexual assault plus murder.Saying that I still highly recommend this book as it is Phenomenal.

    I have mixed feelings about this book.

    The wrote up made it sound fun and dramatic. And the first half was. But then it took a proper turn, but kind of in a good way.

    Some of the content is not normally what I enjoy, and there is one VERY full on scene, but it was remarkably well documented and written.

    I feel this book could have been a bit lighter with more humour, Jay is the only humour and she is a side character.

    This was a bit too full on and serious for my personal preference, I skipped the epilogue because I’d kinda lost interest by that point, but was a good read nonetheless.

    Would I recommend, maybe but not for general steamy romances.

    The male protagonist in this just seemed sleazy, lacking in loyalty, addiction issues, and a skewed moral compass. If you are going to be with someone who is old enough to be your father, that you'll probably massively outlive, then they need to be something special imo. Not great writing either, some glaring plot errors.
