    The boyfriend experience - what an experience! With all the trademark twists and turns of a JA Huss book, this one was a little extra fun. Law was the absolutely perfect boyfriend and the game quickly turns real for both him and Oaklee. I was guessing until the end about how it would turn out and while it was unexpected (as always) it was totally satisfying. A perfect book for a dreary Sunday. Can't wait for Jordan's book.

    If anyone can introduce new characters that you will love instantly and combine a world that Shrike fans never want to end it`s J.A Huss.
    Oaklee is a spitfire, one crazy chick that you can`t help but want to be friends with, and then Lawton walks in and I`m done. He truly is the "Deluxe Boyfriend" for the record I want one just like him for myself, LMFAO.
    So in a nutshell, you have another outstanding story by an author that consistently blows my mind. Twist and turns with some of the sweetest and sexiest love scenes I have read in a while, they are full of lust, desire, need, and LOVE.
    And let me tell, Law is a stayer people and he has moves so many moves.
    You will meet another new character, a bombshell one could say that all Shrike Bike fans will embrace and I know if you`re like me, you will be sitting on the edge of your seat hoping we get her story in the not so distant future.
    So, no spoilers but if you`re a of Shrike Bike fan & you know the original Bombshell you don`t want to miss this story.

    This book is fantastic. I have been stuck with my head in Uni world for weeks, what a way to break that spell.

    JA Huss is a technical genius. No joke. As an aspiring writer myself, She is an inspiration.

    Huss’ books stand in their own realm and genre. She encorporates drama, mystery, romance, humour, and sexiness into complete works of mastery.

    The way Huss has pulled her characters together and has cameos from old characters and inside jokes as a treat for readers is next level, like most of her work.

    Each book can stand alone, but are best read in succession. Every character seems to surpass the next in my line of favourites. Lawton now sitting firmly in number one position.

    I can’t rave about these books enough. If you read them all, you feel a part of something. You become part of the gang, and man, that’s an awesome place to be.

    Don’t wait. If you haven’t experienced Huss before, start now. She can write. She can write really bloody well.

    The Boyfriend Experience is a standalone novel and both characters play the Jordan’s Game Series. It’s a book with lots of love, deceit, lies and chemistry.

    Oaklee is a strong businesswoman. She has been described as crazy, rude, flamboyant and dramatic. She doesn’t care what people think, she asked Jordan for a Game because there is one little problem she has that she can’t solve on her own and all she needs is a bad boy to help her. Lawton is a very successful Real Estate Agent with one thing on his mind, he needs a partner / Girlfriend to help him close the deal. When Jordan sees both of them in need, dollar signs and an in for Lawton to do him a favour pave the way for the Game to begin.

    Oaklee and Lawton begin with a very mutually satisfying relationship. They start their game and the chemistry is there between them and they can’t stop after that door has been opened. Their intimate scenes together are incredibly hot and heavy leaving you wondering where do I sign up for this game.

    This is my first JA Huss book, although this is a standalone there are previous book which include some off the characters. Needless to say, when I finished the first chapter I was utterly confused, I didn’t know what was happening and went back and started again. I personally feel that if I had of read the previous books this would not have been and issue. As the book progressed the storyline pulled me in and I couldn’t wait to see what happened.

    I have not read the previous 2 books in the series and after finishing The Boyfriend Experience I will be going back and reading Total Exposure and The Pleasure of Panic. There was a preview for Book 4 in the series, Playing Dirty and I have already added it to my reading list.
    If you are after a book that has some twists and turns and of course romancing this book is for you, if only there was more Lawton’s out there for everyone.

    I’ve enjoyed J.A. Huss’ Jordan’s Game Series, but I have to say that I absolutely LOVED book 3, The Boyfriend Experience. I adored every single thing this book!

    Oaklee Ryan is O.M.G. adorable. She is smart, successful, cute, and a little bit crazy. Her crazy comes from her untamed passion and lack of a filter. Most guys find her impossible to deal with, but they probably don’t have the ego to handle a successful woman who knows what she wants.

    Lawton Ayers is all kinds of hot. He is a handsome, polite, successful, self-made man. I loved the relaxed attitude that came from his experience of surviving rock bottom. His subtle self-confidence is sexy. I think everyone needs a Lawton in their life.

    Lawton and Oaklee together are the perfect balance. They definitely epitomize the infamous line “you complete me”.

    “…I feel special, cared for adored, and respected when I’m with Lawton Ayers”.

    The pair has great chemistry and fun banter, but even better, they just fit. I can’t imagine a more perfect couple.

    Ms. Huss has included small references to her prior books and a few cameo appearances by beloved characters for her long-time fans; new readers may not see those connections, but it will not impact their reading pleasure. The Boyfriend Experience is a very fun read; it is much more light-hearted than the prior books in the series. I had a smile plastered on my face from the first word to the last. A very entertaining read, great characters, and a perfect ending, I’d say Ms. Huss gave her readers the “deluxe reader experience” with her latest novel.

    Oooo, this is one of Julie's fast and furious reads. There is so much action packed into this story that I felt like I read it at lightening speed. I sat down to start the book and before I knew it, I'd finished.
    I got thoroughly engrossed in the love story between Lawton and Oaklee. They both need the other to act as a partner for professional reasons so it's a complete surprise that they get together romantically.
    As always, the book is packed with heat 🔥but there is a certain lightness and fun that makes the book a pleasure to read.
    Roll on book number four in this series. I can't wait to see if Jordan's game reaches a satisfying climax. If I know my JA Huss books, I'd say it's a certainty

    I actually let out an actual 'eeee!' when I read they were going into a Shrike bike shop!! This would normally be fine but I was in an aeroplane sat next to a complete stranger! I had a stupid grin on my face as I read about Spencer Shrike, five points and everything familiar from the rook and Ronin series! And add in all of the other references to other Huss books and I was in heaven! And I haven't even begun to mention the actual story of the Boyfriend Experience! This is the third in the series and they just keep making me smile! I don't want to say they get better because they are all equally great reads! This one was again brilliant.
    Loved the uncertainty about who was telling the truth, who was the crazy one and who would Lawton end up being?
    Another must read from Huss.
    Now got to wait for the final book in this series but at least it's only a couple of weeks away.

    I often sound like a broken record when I review one of JA Huss’ books, and The Boyfriend Experience is no exception. Julie is a wonderful storyteller. She knows how to grab the imagination and drop me smack dab in the middle of the action. I become a voyeur in her little world. From beginning to end it is a journey of highs and lows. It isn’t always (rarely) the journey that I think I’m going to get, but it is always a fun trip and a captivating reading adventure.

    The Boyfriend Experience is the third book in Jordan’s Games series and my favorite to date by far. There is something so real and relatable about Lawton Ayers and Oaklee Ryan. I understand them and love them to death. Their desire to play a game appears to be self-centered for each individual player until it becomes a desire to meet their partner’s needs.

    I see Oaklee as a woman who has a lot materially. She knows how to run her business, mostly. What she doesn’t have is the emotional self-confidence to take on her competitor. The loss of her father beats her down because she no longer has the sounding board and rock in her life. She looks at Hanna, rival, through eyes that only see what is done to her not ways to take her own back.

    Lawton is in a somewhat similar place in his life. He has almost everything he wants in his career. He is successful, a far cry from the troubled youth of his past but something is missing. He believes that getting cast on a reality TV show selling multi-million-dollar homes to extremely wealthy clients will finally put him in the right place. The problem is the HGTV types don’t bite. He needs to convince them he is the man for the job.

    Enter Jordan Wells with a game that will give each participant what they want…or so they think. Oaklee buys The Boyfriend Experience for a boyfriend to dangle in front of Hanna without the commitment required fo an actual boyfriend. Lawton wants an agreement from Oaklee to go with him to the TV executives as a partner to increase his chances to get a TV show. It is a big win-win.

    In The Boyfriend Experience, Julie sometimes makes me hurt. She brings back memories of that friend we all know who wasn’t a friend at all. So many emotions churning in my gut when I read a Huss book. There are times in the game that my stomach clenches or my throat tightens or my heart breaks, and my heart jumps for joy. Then there are times that all of these emotions rumble through me at the same time. I love it.
    What I also love is the way Julie weaves characters from her past books into a current story. It is so much fun seeing the Shrikes again. Anyone from the Rook and Ronin series makes me jump for joy and Spenser Shrike stopping by in such a big way is a sweet bonus.

    The Boyfriend Experience by JA Huss is a must read. It is a standalone in the Jordan’s Games series. It is always fun to come across a book that has a little of everything in the emotional arena. The story is told in the dual points of view of Law and Oaklee with a couple chapters in Jordan’s point of view. The writing is outstanding, and the epilogue that sets up the last book in the series makes me want that one ASAP. Thanks, Julie for another fun time in your world.
