4.3 out of 5 stars 3,134 ratings

Liam Montgomery will try everything once.
He started his career as a model and turned that opportunity into becoming a bestselling author.
The only thing he hasn’t tried is a steady relationship.
Not that he’s looking for one.

Arden Brady doesn’t get out much.
Living with Lupus means sometimes her days aren’t her own. She’s lived her life to the fullest so far, but the one thing she’s never let herself do is fall in love.
Then comes Liam.

A chance encounter changes the game, and both will have to risk everything they thought important to make this work. Because family secrets and unplanned heartache aren’t the only things trying to tear them apart. But if they’re lucky, the passion between them might just make this romance thing something they can believe in.

**Wrapped in Ink is a friends to lovers, who hurt you, opposites attract romance in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder series featuring Liam and Arden. Each book can be read as a complete standalone. An HEA is guaranteed!**

Love prevails
What an emotional rollercoaster ride Carrie Ann Ryan has taken us on with the first in her new series Montgomery Ink:Boulder Wrapped in Ink. In Liam and Arden's story accidents happen, secrets will come to light, stories to tell, battles against a chronic illness to be fought and love to prevail over all. I love the Montgomery's and I am so looking forward to seeing where Carrie Ann takes us next.

Wow! I learnt a lot about someone having lupis. Glad that Liam and Arden made a great love team. Loved the brotherly relationships. Both Liam and Arden had their challenges and had to overcome or deal with them. Great book. Looking forward to the next book.

‘Wrapped in Ink’ is book one in Carrie Ann Ryan’s latest series the Montgomery Ink Boulder series, and what an emotional and heartwarming way to kick it off. This story is going to grip your heart and dig deep into your soul. Be prepared for an emotional ride.

Liam used to be a model, but is now a successful writer. Liam is the oldest of his siblings of 2 brothers and a sister. After an accident where he gets knocked down by scaffolding protecting his sister at a wedding, Liam ends up in hospital where he meets Arden after she has had an episode.

Arden Brady is the youngest of her siblings with 4 older very protective brothers. Arden struggles with Lupus and has flair up episodes, that has her in and out of hospital. Arden is very sick but she doesn’t look sick, which has caused her a lot of trouble. On days when she isn’t having a flair up, Arden is working. Arden has her own company being a fact checker for famous authors.
Arden has learnt the hard way that the only people she can truly rely on are herself and her family.

This book hit very close to home for me, so I was a wreck when reading it. My husband suffers from a silent disease, which causes our family a lot of controversy, even with family members. So I understand and sympathise with Arden for being cautious with people.

Thank you Carrie Ann Ryan for writing another wonderfully fantastic book. Your characters just get better and better. Even though this book was emotional it was great to see previous characters making appearances as well as some new ones.

This is the first book in a new spin off series from the Montgomery Ink series and I suppose comes with a lot of expectations given how loved that series is. I've got to say that I absolutely loved this book. The story of Liam, who has featured in at least one other Montgomery world book, and Arden. These are both people who have a lot to contend with already in their lives but find that together they're stronger. I loved the light heartedness that featured in places, mostly involving either set of brothers. This gets the series of to a great start.

The idea for this book was genius. An author falls for a woman with Lupus. A lot of their relationship takes place in a hospital. Arden is often admitted after flare ups of her condition. Liam falls for her in spite of that and promises he is going nowhere. They are together as a couple.
I didn’t like the ending as it wasn’t so much a HEA more like the author got bored with the story and just stopped at the meet the family dinner.

Book started off better than how it finished. Was no build and I expected more from the illness/dna parts of story. A nice read though.

Loved it, and love this author. I always have this author on speed buy, lol! I tend to have the whole series already on pre-order and I haven't regretted it so far.
This book was amazing, I loved how this series has started off slightly differently to the others, and I really like that, so thanks Carrie! It has given me an insight into the whole "writing a book" industry and occasionally there are times/books when I wish I could review a book as I was reading it, and this was such a book - it was that good.
This book made me laugh, cry and was deeply emotional a good all rounder, I cannot wait for the next instalment, I just wish I didn't have to wait so long.
I would definitely recommend this book, and any other of the Montgomery Ink books - a Great Read!

Well I didn't know what to expect when I decided to read this story but I am so glad I made the decision. It's romantic but it has angst. The story contains secrets, lies and betrayal and that is just from within the family of Liam Montgomery. Liam Montgomery wow, what more can you ask from a heroine. He and his romantic love link find each other at a hospital of all places. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and want more from Liam and Arden. This was a good read and I can't wait to read another story in this series.

WRAPPED IN INK is a standalone read with a happy ever after. There are sex scenes and colorful words if that is an issue for you. This story was not like I thought it was going to be. It takes a very serious look at lupus. The heroine, Aiden has dealt with the disease since she was 18. It is a terrible, terrible thing for a young woman to have to go through. Liam is the hero of the story. He is 35 when he discovers his mother's life changing secret. It just about destroys him. He is now a best selling author.

They meet in a hospital ER. She is in one bed because of a flare up and she is in bad shape. Liam was attending a wedding in a big hotel that had construction going on. A scaffolding came loose and fell on him. He suffered a lot of bruising and fractured his arm. They are alone in the room when they notice each other and they start to chat. Liam is being release so he gets her number. He doesn't call.

She is use to people not hanging around her. Her disease makes it difficult for her to have a normal life. She is always feeling unwell or just plain tired and people don't want to be around that all the time. They get tired of her saying no to invitations and slowly disappear from her life. She is not surprised that Liam never called.

She is out walking her dog when she runs into Liam and discovers he lives in her neighborhood. It is a bit awkward at first but they go for coffee and talk. It is not long before they are an item. She is having a good period as they get to know one another. But then she has a really bad flare up. Liam has to face the fact that she will never be cured. Now he must decide does he stay or does he go?

This is a very good read Lots about big families, forgiveness, acceptance and love. I thought the story line was really good. It may be this way in some families but I thought for a group of 35 year old men they acted quite immature whenever they got around each other. All the "flipping off" was a turn off for me in their behavior. But perhaps big families are that way and I have just never been around a lot of big families. I thought Bristol was way too immature and silly for her age. Just MHO, doesn't mean anything. I would recommend the book. It is a good read

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/13/2020
