I loved the spicy MFC, Antoinette aka Toni!!!! She has balls of her own, I swear!
I laughed quite a bit through the first few chapters! There is a major 🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥 spiceyyyyyyyy scene …. 🥵 Make you sweat!
It can get confusing in the middle … if you like skipping paragraphs, I suggest you don’t! You do need to read everything to keep up!
This was definitely my type of book! Kept me guessing and loved the MFC and MMC interactions!
My praises to MercyAnne Summers for keeping me hooked through every page 🖤

where do i even start,
the fmc is 34 years old. No 34 year old woman acts crazy and juvenile like and just straight up stupid like that and then the mmc goes " the beast in me" all the time to the point , i cringed every time I read it.
This guy has to take stalking 101 lessons bro cuz how tf you kidnap a girl two times and both times she ends up being able to free herself from the ropes, like how embarrassing is that?!??
This might appeal to some but it certainly didn't to me, the MMC some times refers to the FMC as " this fucking bitch" " little fucking bitch " and i really dont like it.

Ends of Being by MercyAnn Summers is the First book in the Ends Duet. This starts the story of Antoinette 'Toni' and Darius 'Dare' aka Clark Kent. Toni is an accountant living a somewhat normal boring life and her job at work is driving Dare crazy with her antics. Toni see the outside appearance that Dare gives off as a strait-lace, mundane boring person but what she doesn't know is he is hiding a much darker side. One day Dare can't take his attraction to Toni nor her attitude anymore and kidnaps her and so starts their story. This does end with a cliffhanger sitting us up for the next installment. I can't wait.

Gah this book really is perfection!
If you’re looking for a dark romance that will keep you on your toes and flipping the pages this book is absolutely for you. These characters and this storyline are everything I didn’t know I needed from a book, there are twists and turns, well written and engaging characters and humor to round it all out.
Not only to your become connected to the main characters but you also become connected to their stories, lives and the supporting characters, my jaw is on the floor from that ending and I can’t wait for book two! I will be recommending this book until I’m blue in the face.

Such a strange book. No wait, let me rephrase that. Such a strangely funny, interesting book.
If you guys are a fan of chaotic stories, that only starts making sense when you are nearing the end of a book, then by all means, please give this story a chance.
Nobody in the Ends of Being are who they seem. They all were different yet have some eccentric commonalities in them that made them a fun bunch to read about.
Toni, Dare, Tony, Matt, and Lillith were a hoot, and I seriously wished we could've gotten a bit more from the story to make sense of all the tomfoolery.

What’s in the Box?!!! In all seriousness, I can binge on Romantic Suspense books, and Author MercyAnn Summers had me so engrossed that I didn’t see the twists coming in “Ends of Being.” And there were several twists, plus that cliffhanger! Oh my, that cliffhanger. Thankfully, the next book is ready for me to dive into.
The story is told from the present to six months prior and back again. “Ends of Being” follows Antoinette/Toni, who is light, carefree, and fun. She especially has fun needling her co-worker, a nerdy Clark Kent type who wears golf sweaters. She doesn’t realize that there is more to Darius/Dare than what is projected on the outside. At the same time, Author MercyAnn Summers draws readers in with clues to what has happened to Toni and how things connect so that we won’t see those twists coming. Readers will see the evolvement of Toni’s character as she goes from fun-loving to something you will not anticipate. The spice scenes between Dare and Toni show he is no nerd in the sheets.
I can’t believe I waited so long to read “Ends of Being.” I even re-read the cliffhanger twice to ensure I understood what was said correctly. And I did. Now off to download Part 2!

I loved the story, the characters, the spice to plot was perfect, I liked the hint of thriller/mystery! The spicy scenes were HOT. Wowza Dare you really know what you’re doing buddy! Cannot wait to jump into the second book!!

This book takes off running from the very beginning and doesn’t stop, all the way to the end! I loved Toni and Dare’s dynamic, banter, and the spice?! *chef’s kiss*. Ends of Being is full of twists and turns, humor, and electric spicy scenes. For fans of dark romance, enemies to lovers, workplace, and a strong MFC, this is for you!

First book from MercyAnn Summers and was not disappointed! Buckle Up! Amazing dark romance with twists and turns! Darius and Antoinette have a cat and mouse relationship with so many secrets and danger on their heels. Enjoyed reading this book that has great characters, spice, and adventure. Definitely 3.5! Story starts with lots of action and gets me hooked immediately. Also make sure you fully read for everything to make sense.. I was thoroughly confused with what was happening with the FMC and MMC. Promise it all comes together!

Huh!!! What?!! Really what the F*** just happened there? I’m a bit in a daze as it’s 4:30 in the morning now and I just had to finish this book tonight at any cost but I didn’t expect it to end like that! What a cliffhanger!!!
So for the actual review I think this book maybe 3.75 ⭐️ the story was good but I felt like I wasn’t following a bit in the middle but I understood why when I reached the end. There are just a lot going on and I still not sure that I understand everything fully, but I’m fully invested now because I have to know what happens next! So I need few hours of sleep and then will dig into the second book immediately. See you

Darius & Antoinette, their dynamic- had me in a chokehold. A wild ride. There were times I was so annoyed/frustrated with all the mystery but in the end it had me captivated with the story. Antoinette (Toni) and Darius (Dare) are coworkers who just don’t get along. Toni, self proclaimed smart-mouth snarky shit-talker, enjoys torturing Dare on a daily basis. He is a stereotypical vanilla office worker with no sense of humor who does not find Toni amusing at all. Or at least that is what Toni thinks until she ends up tied up in his trunk - she sure didn’t see that coming!
After escaping from his cabin in the woods, she tries pressing charges with the local sheriff but Dare has them convinced she is just a hysterical woman who let some role playing get a little out of hand. Dare always seems to be one step ahead of her. Toni has had enough at this point and just wants to go home. Toni's life continues to get more complicated from here. Secrets are starting to surface and her life gets pretty chaotic. There is a lot of action and suspense. Even though this is a dark romance book, there is plenty of witty banter and jokes. Tony, Matt and Lilith are great side characters and bring some great one liners to the story.
I was honestly a little confused at the beginning of this book. I couldn’t wrap my head around Dare’s obsession and Toni’s somewhat nonchalant attitude about being kidnapped. I felt like I was missing something… No spoilers but this story has many twists and turns and surprises. If you feel a little confused you are right on track! The author plants little seeds and bits of information throughout the book that all came together at the end. There is a cliffhanger that I didn't see coming! I'll definitely want to read the next book and see what happens!!

Are you ready to have your mind played with?! Are you ready to be thoroughly confused and think you finally have the puzzle pieces lining up only to have more pieces dumped into your lap? Then this is the book for you! If you are confused while reading, don’t worry, you are exactly where you are supposed to be. This book took me on an adventure. It is sinister, spicy, and leaves you in a tail spin. Be prepared to crave more and more from MercyAnn Summers because this is not the end.

This book was fantastic! I loved the banter between Dare and Toni, they were both hilarious 😂. I instantly fell in love with Dare 😏😏. I loved this book and I can’t wait to start number 2!

If you love dark romance then you’re definitely in the right place! I loved this book so much! I don’t even know where to begin with! I listened to the audiobook version of this book and later went ahead an ebook version and they both were just amazing!! The narration was done extremely well! I personally don’t listen to much of audiobooks but this kept me captivating throughout the book and I literally finished the audiobook in one sitting as I couldn’t get enough of it!
The storyline was great! I really enjoy when a book has several plot twists and this one DID NOT disappoint at all! I was so intrigued to know what happens next the entire time! I loved all the characters in it and they all were so engaging. My favorite was obviously, our badass FMC! I just love her!
It’s a dark romance so how can we even forget talking about the spice 😏😏. The spicy scenes were REALLY spicyyyyyy!!!! Especially chapter 14 (also one of my fav chapters 🫣🤭). The chemistry between both the main characters was soooo gooodddd! And I just couldn’t get enough of them!

I just got done with this and it had me racing to start book two of the duet, honestly the begining had me a bit confused but once I read more I started to understand more. I could not put it down and I can't wait to start book two for the duet. Check the trigger warnings before reading but if you love dark romance this is the book for you!!!

Woah 🤯 I did not see all the twists and turns coming that’s for sure!! Really enjoyed this book, love Dare and Toni, although I think Tony is actually my fave 😏😂 I couldn’t have predicted where this book was going if I tried! And the cliffhanger 🤯 so good.

This book was a fantastic read! From the first page there is excitement, tension and twists and turns throughout the whole story that keep you on the edge of your seat. Talk about being edged!! Loved the push and pull between Antoinette and Darius, the sexual tension is off the charts and you always get the impression there is more to their story than meets the eye. The cliffhanger at the end leaves you desperate to know what happens next. Can’t wait for more!

This author is a new one for me and I’m so glad I read this book because I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the banter and the connection with the main characters I loved, I wasn’t prepared for the cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read book two!
