I've never known the calm before the storm.
The storm never leaves.
Thunder raging.
Lightning crashing.
With me right in the middle.

The worst storm hit when I was seventeen.
My girlfriend? Dead.
My daughter? Missing without a trace.
That broke me worse than thunder and lightning ever could.

Then the Ruthless Kings MC became my salvation.
The brotherhood turned a boy into a man.
Never knowing the beast within.
Or the storms that followed me everywhere.

Until her. Melissa was the first storm that didn't tear me apart.
She shocked my heart back to life.
She made me feel again.
She brought the calm.
But she reawakened the beast.

The beast remembers the guilt.
It remembers vengeance denied.
I wasn't meant to move on.
Not now.
Not ever.

But Melissa is relentless.
She begs for my touch even when I push her away.

Like a moth to a flame, our nightmares tether us together.
I have to let go of my past to love her like she deserves.
I have to let go of them.

But the moment I'm there.
The moment I'm ready to be hers.
A new storm comes, but this one brings hope.

My daughter is alive.
It'll take a war to get her back.
It's my war, and I intend to wage it.

But no Ruthless King rides alone.

"I can't count on others to turn on the light. I'm the switch. I'm the power. I have to my own illumination."

This is the most powerful book in the Ruthless Kings series, and I don't say that lightly. I'm so obsessed with these characters -- to the point where I feel like I am part of this entertaining, dysfunctional, heartbreaking loving family.

Poodle has always been the guy you could rely on to say something funny or to help calm a tense situation, but I would have never guessed the level of pain he was hiding underneath his bright smile. At such a young age he had the two people be loved the most ripped away from him in the cruelest manner. Ever since, he has made a vow that every corrupt person that had a hand in his heartbreak would fall by his own hands, turning him into what he is today. There are two totally different sides to this man: the calm, loving and goofy friend who always has a smile, and the brutal killer avenging his family. And I loved it all.

Melissa is one of the women the rescued from the sex trafficking ring in Boomer's book, and this poor woman's life has been literal hell. She's been betrayed, sold, had her innocence ripped away from her, and she still is able to fund the strength to get through each day. Ever since being rescued, she has stayed with the MC and has since fallen in love with Poodle, but he seems determined to keep her at arms length. But when she finds the secrets he's been keeping, will she be able to heal his fractured heart? Or will their love be ripped apart from them from a monster they are both connected to?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: This series is bloody fantastic. It's so different than anything I've ever read, and while I don't typically like violence in my romances, I LOVE it in this series. I love how our authors are so sensitive with the topic of sexual assault and how that impacts your every day life. I love how real our characters are -- from their ridiculous antics to the realization that they are a true family -- it's all perfect.

I adored the twist at the end, and even though I suspected it would turn out that way (I watch so many murder/true crime docs💁) it still brought a tear to my eye on how everything evolved.

Plus the heat level in this book is ramped up ALL. THE. WAY.🔥🔥🔥🔥

Also, I need Tongue's and Knive's books right now. I can't get enough of these amazing characters!!

Y'all need go read this series!!! Trust me when I say that you will love them just as much as I do!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

I love MC romance series. I especially love them when they are inclusive like the Ruthless Kings. This is the part where I say (again) these books are not standalones. I’m sure most of you realize that, but I think it needs to be said every time for the people in the back :)

Now that that is done, can we talk about the title? LOL Some of you might see it and be thinking what in the world the author was thinking but if you know your MC lingo, then you know that’s a road name and then knowing that, who isn’t going to #oneclick this book to find out how this poor soul got his road name? lolol

Okay, now that the *fun* is out of the way … You guys, this series keeps getting better and better as we get deeper into it. I mean it started with a bang for me and just kept that momentum ever since. Poodle and Melissa are going to tear you up! I honestly don’t think there’s an emotion I did not feel while I read this journey. SO MUCH! Both Melissa and Poodle have history that is heavy and dark but it did not consume the story. There is still the signature lightheartedness of the MC’s shenanigans that we have grown to love and appreciate throughout the series but the story, at its core, is a story of growth and healing. I can’t really say this story was unpredictable, but I also wouldn’t say it was predictable in any way. GAH, I just love this series!

It's not the book, it's me.

Poodle was the jokester in all the previous books, who never failed to cheer other guys on, or liven up the atmosphere and make everybody laugh when the times got tough.

I knew what I was getting into after reading the blurb but I really, really wanted this to be a sweet romance. Even Melissa had a traumatic, dark past and I wasn't able to enjoy even the little warm scenes in this book to the fullest. I loved Sarah's and Juliette's characters in the previous books but Melissa and Poodle didn't make me happy. Plus, the plot became predictable when I got to know that . Not my favorite book of the lot and after reading this, I'm praying that Skirt's book has more fluffier moments.

Poodle is the 4th book in this series. Each story line has been unique. I wasn't sure where this was going to lead with Poodle. Our previous glimpse of him is just humor around his dog and his hair. I was in no way prepared for all of his secrets.

Melissa is one of the women the MC rescued in the previous stories. She has stayed at the compound. She has secrets she isn't willing to share yet. Poodle has some even darker ones. I like Poodle. I get where his pain is coming from. Melissa seems a good match for him. She takes him as he is--no judgement. I am always a champion for the underdog--the man with the heavy burden to bear. In this case, I felt like Melissa's past was mentioned but really brushed aside. I can't imagine a women in real life picking up her bootstraps all by herself and carrying on and then jumping into a relationship on top of it. I think the story would have done better justice if the hero needed to help out our heroine just a bit. I am glad Melissa was there for Poodle. I just felt she needed some additional support besides talking to Doc, to work through her past.

Good addition to the series. You will want to read these in order. Great sense of the MC and the brotherhood that binds them all together.

After reading Tool and the series thus far, I expected Poodle’s book to be lighter- for us to get some good MC humor with our intriguingly frivolous MC character- the orderly one who has a show poodle that he dotes on quite humorously.I mean, an MC main named POODLE, come on, that has to be the sillier and more light hearted story of the batch. By wow, were my expectations ever subverted- Poodle is the most emotionally complex moving of the series, the most unexpected, and the best writing from KL Savage yet.

The first chapter immediately told me this story was going to be very different than what I expected- it was emotional, sweet, heartbreaking, and visceral- a tone that carried through this entire story. We have two characters who’ve experienced horrific trauma, two characters who’ve been the victims of unspeakable violence that has robbed them of their lives, parts of themselves, aspects of their humanity. Like the reader, Poodle’s club knows little of his dark past- and he likes it that way. He camouflaged his pain behind his light hearted, peaceful club persona to escape his past but also hide parts of his present, his secret activities.. But Melissa sees him, because she too has survived unthinkable trauma- she recognizes a kindred suffering. And Poodle has made her feel safe, she’s drawn to him when she never thought she’d consider that again. Both characters already have feelings for each other as this book opens, which means our plot really focuses on how those feelings evolve, and most interestingly how those feelings intersect with their pain and trauma. That element gives this story so much heart, so much emotional impact.

This is really the best character development in the series thus far. That first chapter with Poodle was so emotional, we immediately see a nuanced character with so much heart, so many tightly packed layers of depth. KL brilliantly rattles him by introducing Melissa (they met in a prior book)- and this story picks up where his world is already off kilter. Both characters have such a richly constructed past, and both are well defined in the current- there is a really sweet and unspoken intimacy between them, this shared understanding they have because of their shared pain. And each character is trying to cope while battling the tensions and complexities of the “after.”

MC shenanigans aside (and we’ve got that, too- the club politics and antics alongside some MC danger) this is really a story about healing. And I loved how KL made Poodle just as vulnerable as Melissa- the interesting way she had a big, burly, scary biker needing emotional support and strength from the tiny little survivor. He’s been her rock, her salvation as she’s tried to recover and live, and now she’s his. And to Poodle, that is really bittersweet- as he explores if embracing and loving her means letting go of another.

Per usual, we have that MC drama and a big climatic moment not just for these characters but the club in general- this felt a bit hasty, but I wouldn’t have wanted it to drag out because we had so much good emotional fodder to explore. The twist I saw coming, and it felt a bit convenient, but I also don’t know how my heart would have taken a different outcome. But these characters and their emotional connection, the sweet relationship of this story is the true surprise, the true twist- a real series high.

POODLE is the fourth instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Ruthless Kings MC. This is thirty year old, club member James ‘Poodle’ Winston, and Melissa Livingston’s story line. POODLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line content including graphic violence, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Melissa and James) POODLE follows the building relationship between thirty year old, club member James ‘Poodle’ Winston, and Melissa Livingston. Thirteen years earlier James Winston lost everything, and in the ensuing time has hunted the men responsible, enacting his own form of vengeance. But six months earlier, the Ruthless Kings rescued several women from a sexual slave ring (Boomer #2) including the woman with whom James would fall in love. Enter Melissa Livingston. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between James and Melissa, and the potential fall-out as James struggles with demons from his past, and his need for revenge against those who destroyed it all.

James ‘Poodle’ Winston was only seventeen when his young wife was murdered and their infant daughter disappeared. Brought to the Ruthless Kings MC, James would cultivate a lifestyle that would bring him up close and personal with the men he held responsible for the lives of the people he loved. Melissa Livingston struggles with her attraction to a man she believes despises the ground upon which she walks but James’ hatred for Melissa disguises an unwanted attraction to a woman who has suffered for so long and so much. The relationship between Melissa and James is one of immediate attraction but James refuses to act on his need preferring to continue his search for the men who killed his wife. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many members of the Ruthless Kings MC: Reaper and Sarah, Tool, Tongue, Doc, Badge, Skirt, Bullseye and Braveheart. The requisite evil has many faces.

POODLE is a story of betrayal, vengeance, abuse, hatred and love. The premise is raw and gritty; the characters are strong, energetic, merciless yet fun; the romance is tender, erotic, passionate and heart breaking.

This is the fourth book in the series. While they can be read as standalone books, I think they are better read in order. Poodle is hiding a secret from the club and has been the entire time he has been there. A few secrets really. Now they have been brought to light and he will have to deal with them and with the consequences of keeping them. Melissa is one of the girls they rescued during the second book (Boomer’s book). She has been through more than that though. Her whole life has been just like that. Now her past has come back for her. She is about to learn some hard truths as well. Poodle and Melissa have a pull towards each other. But, why would Poodle want someone like Melissa or at least that’s what she thinks. Poodle is torn between wanting a future with Melissa and his past. This was another fantastic book in this series. There is action, romance, drama, and of course danger. I felt for Poodle so much. He is just trying to find out who hurt is family and get justice for them. Hoping that maybe part of that family is still alive. I was hooked from the start. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I have read the whole series and love it so much. While these guys belong to an MC and sometimes do not nice things, they never hurt woman. They always help the innocent. Fantastic job K.L. Savage.

Oh, Poodle, who would have thought this fun goofy member would have such a broken past and dark side. When this beast inside him wakes he turns into someone else.

I already ugly cried in the prologue; it was so heart-breaking!

Melissa is one of the girls rescued by Boomer and the Vegas Chapter back in book 2 of the Ruthless King series and decided to go back to Vegas with them. Her past is so heart-breaking as well and she endured so much. She is embarrassed about what has happened to her and believes she is not worth anything. She stood up to Tongue a few times when he was being “unkind” to Poodle and developed a crush. The attraction is mutual, but Poodle still believes he is not worth another woman´s love until he has revenged his girlfriend’s death and his baby girl’s disappearance 13 years ago, so he pushes Melissa away.

Melissa & Poodle are two tortured souls feeding on each other’s demons. It is also due to Melissa´s relentless attempts that soon, Poodle cannot deny his attraction any longer and they find themselves in this intense, oh so kinky and very erotic sexual rollercoaster ride that really had me hot & bothered. Seriously, the heat level in this book is upped a few notches, to say the least. 🔥🔥🔥

Ok, so I have to say, that even though there are scenes with very graphic violence, and I struggled to get through a lot of them I still got choked up by emotions as the meaning of the actions are comprehensible! In my opinion this only shows again how amazing the writing is to have this effect on you.

On the lighter side, there is some puppy love going on as well and this made my heart laugh with joy. Poodle REALLY loves his Lady(s). Also, I adored the twist at the end, again be prepared for tears.

@author_k.l.savage you are freaking amazing writing these great stories about all these MC members. I am sure I am not the only one falling in love with them all!

I thought Boomer broke me, but Poodle just topped this 😭

Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister did the narration for this one as well and they added to the emotional wreck that I was, after listening.

Have I talked about how much I enjoy this series? I'm so glad I've been able to read every single book's ARC so far. I don't think there's another MC world I have been this invested in before.

I felt so bad for everything Melissa has gone through. She's so kind and sweet and then her crush of course says something that really hurts her. Melissa has never even felt what it was like to be free. I loved to see Melissa wanting to make friendships instead of just wallowing in self pity.

Poodle is usually all jokes, smiles and laughing but you were able to also see his darkness in this book.

I enjoyed the romance. It was a second chance romance. I was a little worried about Poodle acting like certain Black Dagger Brotherhood character but besides few incidents he rarely talked about his ex (I really hated that one scene he did) and you could easily see his feelings for Melissa. He clearly didn't try to replace his dead ex-girlfriend and even thought of being unworthy of Melissa. I liked that Poodle is the only man she could really trust. She had the worst experience with men but before even knowing him that well, and especially after knowing his secrets she still trusted him.

I have talked about my love for Tongue and now I want him to have his own book than before. I also enjoyed Eric. I don't remember him from earlier books but I hope he appears in next books.

I don't really like dogs. I don't know why but I don't get why people love them so much? I can't deny that I found Poodle's poodle hilarious, though. Especially Poodle's reactions to it.

All in all I decided not to give full four stars this book because I guessed the big reveal from mile away and I wanted to scream at Poodle to just tell his brothers, and Melissa what really was going on instead of pushing them away.

Poodle was always the goofy one of the Ruthless Kings. Pulling laughs from everyone in the club. But he has been holding on to one of the most heart wrenching secrets. And at night he leads a very different life than the one he shares during the daylight hours. Denying himself happiness until he can find closure, he pushes Melissa away; the one woman who could bring him to his knees.

I am flying through these amazing books as fast as I can. When I started this series, I connected with Tongue and couldn’t wait to get to his story. But with each story before him, I am discovering these guys are embedding themselves so deep into my heart. Each so unique. Each having led heartbreaking lives. Their journeys have not been easy. But when they find their person, things start falling into place, and the burden eases for them to work through the brokenness. And then the mending begins.

POODLE was a brilliant story. He was so much more than I ever thought and I quickly read every waking moment. With each book, each man, this world becomes more real. I can’t get enough. 5 Stars!!

Poodle is the one who is always making people laugh. He's a goofball and owns a poodle who is a show dog. He came to the club as a very young man. Nobody knows much about him. Just don't mess with his dog.

If you read Boomer's book than you met Melissa. She was one of the girls who was there in the basement...her Dad had sold her to them. Now that she is in with the club in Vegas she is slowly coming out of her shell and has a huge crush on Poodle.

Poodle likes Melissa but it's a no can do for him. He hasn't been with a woman in thirteen years. He's celibate but nobody knows that. Like anyone else he has a past. It's heartbreaking and could happen to anyone. He had a regular life and it was torn out from under him before he was even eighteen. It's been thirteen years since he lost it all but he's not giving up. No he can feel it's not all gone. Can he even trust his brothers and let them in to help and can Melissa get under his skin to point him in the right direction.

This is the 4th book in this phenomenal series and is Poodle / James and Melissa’s story. Poodle is the prankster and funny man in the group, but this front hides the darkness in his soul and the brutal killer who is avenging his family. Melissa was rescued from a sex trafficking ring where she endured a horrific experience, and chose to stay with the MC. Melissa sees through Poodle’s façade but will he let her get close to him to heal? This is a well written heart-wrenching, raw and gritty story, which is an emotional roller coaster, and is filled with heartbreak, twists, secrets, betrayal, and is a humorous, entertaining, powerful, and poignant love story. I was completed hooked throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more form this author whose work I recommend for all MC lovers.

Poodle aka James story is so mesmerizing. It's starts out shockingly and it just keeps delivering jolts to my heart.

I've had to pause reading which is really hard to do but these characters are imprinting on my soul. Now the reason I had to walk away was because it's so hard to see characters who have become so real to me going through such darkness.

This story is definitely one for fate believers. Melissa and James were written in the stars. He's experienced loss and she has dealt with horrors but in such a selfless manner.

Each of these stories are so important to me because I love them all like they are living and breathing.

Poodle has some humor but I can say I cried so much with this book. At one point I was worried my book family wouldn't experience happiness and when revelations came to light, I screamed so loud and cried like a baby with no shame to admit.

Book 4 and I'm so excited for these books. Please don't stop them. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

Whoa this book was SAVAGE! I liked the previous ones, but this one definitely takes the cake and was so freaking good! Poodle might be the jokester of the bunch, but there is a LOT hidden beneath the surface. This guy is hurting and things are coming to a breaking point, especially when Melissa catches his eye. Melissa's life hasn't been a walk in the park either, but seeing both of them grow was great.

All in all this book was raw and gritty and will suck you into the story and the Ruthless Kings MC world. I highly suggest checking out not only this book but this series if you are a fan of MC romances! 4.5 outta 5 stars from me!

PS: Thank you to KL Savage and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

This read wasn't as funny as the others, we have both of the characters with ugly pasts unfortunately.
And Poodle one of the funnies guys wasn't as funny in his book, but only because we get to know what happened with him.
I liked that again we have a build up for the couple. Still insta-lust but with time.
I hated her past mostly, not her fault. But it didn't help me liking the story. At least she got her revenge, and as soon as we knew she had a sister i knew what all that will be about.

Loved the dog scenes 💖
Oh and thanks to the books prior i can finally understand a few scenes with Poodle, the one in reaper's rise, when they went fishing with Jekings.

You might not think there would be a lot of intensity from a hero with the road name Poodle, but he brings it! If you’re looking for a light, fluffy romance, then K.L. Savage is not your author. She writes stories in which the characters find their beauty through the ashes of their pasts. Poodle and Melissa help heal each other through unconditional love, loyalty, and acceptance of all the broken places within themselves. Add in some danger, a whole lot of sexy, pure alpha badassery, and you have yourself a dang MC fairytale! I loved every second of their journey!

This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. The heroine has an incredibly horrendous past, and the hero has an incredibly tragic past. But when they come together, all of that seems to fall away. The supporting characters are their usual loud, rambunctious selves. This was a good book

My favorite so far

I have liked the other Ruthless Kings books, but I like Poodle the best so far. I liked him, and I liked Melissa. Maybe the most, although I adore Tongue.

The conflict was mostly internal, and I prefer that, apparently. Yes, the external set them up and drove things to a certain degree, but the attention was paid to the relationship and what was happening between them. And even though Melissa had a chance to jump to conclusions—and did a little bit—she came through it with Poodle’s help. She listened and gave him a chance, and I like that so much better.

The resolution was a little too coincidental to be believed, but I like everything else so much I suspended my disbelief enough to accept it.

From the previous books in the Ruthless Kings MC series, I thought Poodle was crazy but hilarious with his dog Lady.  However, I NEVER would have guessed that he had to history that he had, or the under the darkness activity he's been doing on his own.  See, when he was a teenager he got his girlfriend pregnant, and they were making a go of it though it was hard with a 4 month old since their parents kicked them out.  One night when he came home, she had been murdered & his baby daughter was missing.  Fast forward many years later, and he's still trying to find his daughter, but he hasn't told any of his brothers until he starts snapping all over the place so they force him to fess up so they can help. There's also a woman named Melissa with her own nightmare past who he has caught feelings for but has kept pushing her away since he wanted to find his daughter before moving on.  However, she's just what the doctor ordered, and she's been chipping away at his walls & finally he can't deny her any longer so they explode into super HOT HOT HOT sexy times.  Of course there's still a lot of twists going on, so I'm making guesses while dropping f-bombs but there's also a break from the heavy with the secondaries making me laugh hard.  I'm obsessed with this series & CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE, I legit believe you will too so hit those one click buttons!  HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I totally had Poodle pegged all wrong! He was the jokester, always made people laugh with his fun-loving personality with the previous stories but when we get to his book he is dark!! 13 years prior his life imploded so I know why he does things he does. Melissa is one of the ladies rescued from the New Jersey chapter and she has issues but that makes her perfect for Poodle he just doesn’t see it yet. She really balances out his darker tendencies. Both of their paths come back to haunt them, will they be strong enough to slay their demons? I can’t wait for the continuation of this highly addictive and gripping series!!

James is a 17 year old working hard to support his girlfriend, Holly and their young baby girl, Ellie. He comes home one night to find Holly dead and his daughter missing. He is taken to the the Ruthless Kings and Poodle is born. They are his new brothers but they don't know about the monster that was born that night. In fact they don't know about Holly or Ellie at all. Seeking answers and taking vengeance is what keeps Poodle alive. Feeding his need is something he keeps well hidden, until he can't.

Melissa is one of the women that Boomer and the guys rescued in Atlantic City. She was used and abused. When she looks at Poodle she recognizes pain in his eyes. In Melissa Poodle finds hope; he finds rebirth and he finds love again. When Melissa finds out his secret will she walk away? What about when Reaper finds out?

This story is book four in the Ruthless Kings MC series by K.L. Savage. I am always surprised at the new ways that these authors are able to break my heart. These characters have been through h€ll and somehow came out the other side. The characters have such depth I can't help but feel for them. The plot twists around and goes full out. What you think isn't necessarily what is. Love the series and love Poodle. I purchased this book for my own collection.

In previous books Poodle has seemed like the only sweet character, surrounded by a bunch of bad-ass bikers that range from mildly to extremely psychotic. He cares too much about his show dog, and he doesn’t really seem to be cut-throat enough to be a part of the Ruthless Kings MC. I thought this book would be light and airy and filled with humor at Poodle’s expense. In Poodle (insert the laughing at his road name here) we finally get to know who Poodle really is. Thirteen years ago, his girlfriend was murdered and his baby daughter was kidnapped. He’s spent the last thirteen years trying to find his little girl, and he’s far from the naive and easy-going guy that he’s been portrayed as in the previous books. He’s driven by revenge and the need to get his daughter back from whoever stole her.
This book is like the previous in the series--dark, but not too dark. Sure, it deals with some intense themes, but I personally never felt depressed while reading it. This book was a pleasant surprise, because I wasn’t expecting it to have a revenge plotline (which I love!) and it has quite a bit of suspense and drama amongst the romance. This is another solid 4 star read.

Another great addition to the Ruthless Kings MC series, this book follows Poodle (AKA James) and Melisa story. Poodle has a past and a present that the club knows nothing about, the pain and torture he feels about his past leads him to ruthless acts in the present and its only when a bright sunflower in the form of Melisa becomes apart of his life that he finally feels he is able to face his past and bring his future home. Melisa's past had left her realing from years or abuse by men her 'father' gave her to, now she wants to feel loved by a man she thinks hates her. But thats far from the truth as Poodle and Melisa discover their past is intertwined with each other and together they can work on a future. This has all the classic K.L. Savage hallmarks with hot bikers and their fierce old ladies filled with laugh out loud moments, heart breaking scenes and band of brothers doing what they do best in protecting their own! The Ruthless Kings MC series is one you don't ever want to end!

I simply delight in discovering when this author has another one out and ready to devour. Her MC world becomes alive fast and hot with the characters taking over in no time as the pages are turning. In this one she brings healing and life back to a dead heart with it having its bumps of course with this being the kind me the sap loves to get into. He was torn apart first then that kind that leaves a heart frozen and dead like. This leaves a mask in its place as the body continues living like in Poodle. It takes a strong one to take on him with this one having to have a woman that can in Melissa. Her journey has had trips to Hell with her still living with light. They both though have a monster to connect them with you holding your breath to see if the monster can be vanquished. You burn the pages to find the answers which only the one reading get to find. This author has given a bit of blood and soul in this one consuming the reader.

Book 4 of the Ruthless Kings is a story of betrayal, vengeance, love, hate, and brotherhood. Finally we see all of the beautiful and dark layers that simply make Poodle, Poodle. Seen as the jokester amongst his MC brothers everyone is shocked to discover he has been hiding some dark secrets. With fractured hearts and blackened souls Poodle and Melissa’s story is dark, raw, twisted emotional, utterly heartbreaking and beautifully heartwarming. The secondary characters are deliciously dark, strong, twisted, merciless and oh so quirky you can’t help but love them all. A truly captivating story that I devoured. My heart ached, I shed some tears, I held my breath as I sat on the edge of my seat devouring every word desperately wanting to know what would happen next and how it would end. I simply need more of these guys and can’t wait to see what’s next.
