My Knight. My Rebel. My Forbidden Villain …

In the dazzling lights of Vegas, I indulged in a passionate one-night stand with a man who looked like a Greek god in the flesh.
We no names, no strings attached, just an unforgettable night of fun.
The plan was simple—say goodbye and move on.
Little did I know fate had other ideas for me.
I never expected to run into Mr. Greek god in New York a week later at my father’s fundraiser.
Nor to find out that the godlike man is Luc Le Blanche, the NHL star defenseman for the Hawks.
The Hawks, as in the hockey team my father just bought.
To make matters worse, my father declares me off-limits to him because of the bitter rivalry between Luc's father and mine.
Luc has also made an enemy out of my father since the team’s sale.
Due to the control my father has over my inheritance and Luc’s career with the team, we’re forced to obey his demands.
The problem is we can’t keep our hands off each other.
Despite the stakes, neither of us can resist the magnetic pull drawing us together.
Caught between desire and duty, Luc proposes a daring
We see each other in secret.

Of course I agree.

I know the risk and what’s at stake if we get caught.
I also know he can’t be mine.
Yet each stolen moment and every forbidden kiss fuels my hunger for the 6'6 tattooed hockey god.
When things get complicated, I’m not sure what will break me more.
The exposure of our secret romance.
Or falling for him…
A man my father calls the villain.

A fantastic forbidden sports romance where the hero, ice hockey star Luc Le Blanche falls foul of his club’s new owner who has a deep routed grudge against Luc for some unknown reason which has led to him being benched. Just when he thought his life couldn’t get any worse, he discovers the identity of the beautiful woman he’s been obsessing over since their fleeting encounter in Las Vegas. It turns out his Venus is none other than the new owner’s daughter Autumn Jakobe.

On the whole I enjoyed Ruthless Villain. The overall story was good and I appreciated that a couple could meet up in Las Vegas without a drunken marriage taking place. There was great chemistry between the hero and heroine, and I loved the forbidden nature of their romance but I found myself getting more and more frustrated not only with Autumn for not standing up to her bullying father but also her family especially her mother for not calling him out on his threats…... although I will confess to being pleasantly surprised by evil sister Charlotte. On the whole Luc seemed to be the only person who cared about Autumn and treated her as an adult. With fantastic secondary characters, some of whom will be familiar, this was a great addition to the Ruthless Billionaires series.

What happens in Vegas.. thankfully does NOT remain there. Another not to be missed read…

Luc Le Blanche is a hockey player who happens to be a billionaire. Family wealth goes back generations but all he wanted to do was play hockey like his late famous father. He trades the rights to the family business, Le Blanche Global, to play and when he retires, he will own the NY Gladiators Hockey team. Autumn Jakobe is the youngest daughter of Shawn Jakobe, billionaire former hockey player and owner of the NY Hawks, the team for whom Luc plays. She has studied journalism in college and only wants to be a serious writer. Her former boyfriend of two years, Cole Van Camp is now engaged to her older sister Charlotte and he is quoted saying despicable things about Autumn in the tabloid press. She takes off to Vegas for a ‘freedom’ weekend from Valentine’s Day refusing to heed her father’s request she join the family in Canada while the team plays. Luc has been benched for a fight with a teammate, Evan Kowalski and no one hears what Evan says to precipitate the fight, only that Luc threatens to kill him. And Luc goes to Vegas to just get away and is AWOL from his team now playing in Canada. He is joined in Vegas with his cousin and bestie Hunter who along with his younger brother Asher, are running the family business with their father Preston. Looking over a hotel railing he spies a stunning blond. His ‘Venus”; buys her a drink and convinces her to play the hotel game sharing just enough info but not all. Autumn aka “Venus” has no idea who the man she dubs “Ares” actually is and a night of no names unbridled passion ensues. One spectacular night that leads to wanting to know who but no way of finding out… who.
A chance encounter at a charity fundraiser creates a mountain of twists and turns. Autumn and Luc want to be together. Her father is the owner of his team and hates Luc with a passion that is unexplained. He wants Autumn to be with Evan. Bleech. Both he and Evan warn Luc away. How will these two lovers be together when both are being watched? And Autumn was in an accident with her mentor, who died while she was hospitalized. Her father has taken over complete control of her finances, her career options and threats of what he can and will do if she has any contact with Luc. How will this ever work? What of Evan, Charlotte and Cole? The engagement party for the latter two and her bestie Zoe who works at her mother’s magazine. Will Autumn and Zoe get all of the Hawks players to sit for an interview which will include the elusive Luc Le Blanche who doesn’t DO them? Will we know what drives Shawn? Will we learn more about Evan? And what of both of their hatred of Luc? What of the real journalistic article Autumn wants, no needs to write about Vandermere Manor and the mystery it entails. Will there be a HEA?
Ms Summers writes with wit and grace and an understanding of the complexities of families. She also does her normal twists and turns which we think go one way and end up another. We are reintroduced to characters from the first two billionaire books, especially the ever-helpful hacker Jericho Grayson as well as the afore mentioned Asher and Hunter. Luc is singularly focused not just on the ice but on his Venus. Autumn is feisty and willing to stand up for herself against all odds as well as her father. Readers will root for these two and for more stories… ie Hunter, Asher and Zoe. And there will be plenty of surprises along the way for both readers and Autumn and Luc. . An absolutely fun read. Beyond 5 stars.

RUTHLESS VILLAIN is the third instalment in Faith Summers’ contemporary, adult RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRES erotic, romance series. This is thirty-one year old, professional hockey player/billionaire Luc Le Blanche, and twenty-four year old heiress/journalist Autumn Jakobe’s story line. RUTHLESS VILLAIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Luc Le Blanche is best friends with Knight (Ruthless Knight 1)and Jericho Grayson (Ruthless Rebel 2).

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Luc and Autumn) RUTHLESS VILLAIN follows the forbidden relationship between our story line couple. Luc Le Blanche was on leave from the New York Hawks, and Vegas looked like the perfect destination to lick his wounds but Luc never expected to be ghosted by his one-night stand, a woman who quickly would steal his heart but upon his return to the team, Luc would discover the woman of his heart is the team owner’s daughter, a man who has targeted our story line hero. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between our story line couple, and the potential fall-out when Luc and Autumn’s affair become public knowledge.

The world building is detailed and dark. Autumn’s past is heart breaking, and in the interim she is no longer in control of her life, having all of her personal and private directed without her consent. Having met Luc meant a new start and a new future but lines will be drawn, rules will be broken, and Autumn will become a pawn in a dangerous game. Luc has been proclaimed the bad-boy of hockey but he is struggling in the wake of the team owner’s hatred of, and dislike of everything Le Blanche. A history between families threatens the growing love between our story line couple, and someone else is taking aim at the woman Luc loves.

The relationship between Luc and Autumn begins as a one-night stand in Las Vegas, wherein neither one knew the other’s true identity. Unable to locate the woman with whom he would fall in love, Luc would quickly discover that claiming her heart comes with too many barriers he may not be able to control. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several teams members, Autumn’s parents including her father Shawn Jakobe, her sister Charlotte and fiancé Cole; hockey player Evan Kowalski, as well as Knight and Jericho Grayson.

RUTHLESS VILLAIN is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is emotional, captivating and edgy; the characters are animated, tragic and inspiring; the romance is seductive and provocative.

For a man who considers himself a villain, I didn’t get that vibe from him at all. The only thing I got was a fierce ability to protect those he loves and not caring what happens to do it. If that makes a person a villain, then sign me up! The only thing I advise against is fighting or using fists. This was an interesting portrayal of Luc. In the two books I’ve known him in, he never seemed like the type who would do romantic gestures or let his heart lead. Sure, a big part was driven by lust, but I would have never thought he would fall as hard as he did, and quickly too with Autumn. Even after they have their one night stand, Autumn was the one who became the bigger person and walked away because she had a feeling this was all Luc wanted so she saved her heart by accepting that. Luc on the other hand became a man in love, though he didn’t know it yet. He was all in with her the minute he woke up and looked for her. From there it becomes a journey of getting swept up in memories of Autumn and how she made him feel. He didn’t want to let that part of him go that he thought he lost. On the other side of this, Autumn was feeling the same. It had a very star crossed lovers feel to it and I got swept up in the sensuality and excitement of it all. This book manages to capture the essence of needing that one person who makes you whole and like yourself again. Hockey was Luc’s love, but Autumn came into his life and opened his eyes to another option and just as precious, if not more. On the other side, he helped Autumn heal and find her inspiration for writing again. They built each other up and was able to pull off a forbidden romance in a creative way. I’ve read so many forbidden romances and all of them with the same plot. This one, went more creative and had more decoys which helped the secrecy and got rid of suspicion. It was more seamless, all up until Luc and Autumn were found out. This isn’t a surprise, this always happens one way or another before things get too good. I loved being immersed in a story where desire, love and unity come together and both the hero and heroine welcome it. The only reason they held back all this time is for the sake of a career, image or an inheritance and nothing to do with Luc and Autumn scorning love. The need for each other stays with both of them throughout the book and never gets pushed down or as a thing they don’t want to have. It was nice having this always be present. The drama that ensues in this book has been a present theme and almost the same content but each time the reasons for having it are different and sometimes not who you would expect. In this case I kind of expected it but thought it would have more of an involvement with Autumn’s dad. The next book seems less about feelings and more about power and revenge with a romance aspect but maybe it will surprise me. Regardless, this was a much deserved 5.

I’m not usually a sports romance fan, but this story is much more. It’s a steamy, billionaire romance, but even better is the forbidden romance aspect, which always creates an exciting atmosphere in a book.

When the book started, my heart went out to Autumn. I was devastated for her, and rightly so, but later, I wanted to put some steel into her backbone to make her stand up to her father and Evan! Even Autumn herself queries her constant capitulation and thinks to herself “…I’m sure that by the end of this journey my spine will have dissolved and I’ll have turned into a doormat with arms and legs.” 😳

Honestly, Shawn Jakobe, the new owner of the New York Hawks hockey team, is one completely arrogant and obnoxious character who I could cheerfully help down the stairs—the quick way 🤣. Oh, alongside Evan and Cole, Autumn’s ex-boyfriend. I like how much Autumn allows herself to enjoy being with Luc and finds the freedom to really live.

Luc Le Blanche is a star player for the Hawks but not a star in Shawn Jakobe’s eye; he can’t stand Luc based on his rivalry with Luca’s father when they played years prior. Doesn’t that sum up Shawn so well? 😒 Luc might have been a player once upon a time, but he’s now focusing on gaining the role of captain of the New York Hawks and playing his absolute best. Meeting Autumn is something he is completely gobsmacked by and they both become obsessed with each other. Their chemistry is off the charts.

I couldn’t put this book down and read it from cover to cover in one go. There’s heaps of action and drama making things extremely entertaining and exciting. I love the new characters introduced and look forward to reading more about them in the future.

Ruthless Billionaires #3

What should have stayed in Vegas didn't. Luc and Autumn met in Vegas and agreed to a one night only with no names or info about each other. He was her Arias and she was Venus. Both Luc and Autumn are in Vegas to get away from issues they are having. He's been benched so he doesn't show up for any of the games and just wants to get away. Autumn is dealing with an ex who's now with her older sister and the horrible things he's said about her.

Luc Le Blanche is the star defenseman for the NY Hawks and is known as The Dragon. He's 31 and lucky enough to win the Cup the last 3 years. He's also a part of the Le Blanche Global family business. The new team owner hates him. He doesn't do relationships.

Autumn Jakobe is 24 and her father is the new owner of the Hawks hockey team. She's a journalist working in LA but has moved home to NY for a while after a tragic couple of events in her life.

When both of them show up for a charity event they are shocked to see each other and then to find out who the other is. They are happy to see each other but her father has forbidden the two of them to see each other and has pushed Luc's rival teammate into dating her. Luc won't let that stop him and they agree to meet in secrecy. Their chemistry is off the wall and the more time they are together the harder they fall.

But there's so much more going on with some twists and turns.

I was hooked as soon as I started reading this book. Ms. Summers is a new author to me. Totally enjoyed this book.
This does talk about issues that could be a trigger for some.

I have loved this series! Luc Le Blanche is a good friend of Knight and Jericho Grayson, along with his cousins, Asher, and Hunter. Luc is a well-known hockey star who is having some issues with the new management and a rival player (Evan). Autumn is the daughter of the owner of the hockey team and has had a rough year – mentally and emotionally. Left by her boyfriend of two years for her sister, and having to watch her mentor die in front of her has taken its toll on her. So much so, that her father received power of attorney over her medical decisions. He is also holding on to her inheritance until he can make sure she is all better.

Autumn is fed up with her family and runs off to Vegas to let off some steam, she runs into Luc (not knowing who he was) and they end up hooking up. Probably the best night of both of their lives, Autumn leaves the next morning, without finding out his real name. He was her Aries to his Venus! When they meet at a fundraiser, Luc is warned off by her father to stay away and her father fills her head with what he thinks is wrong with Luc.

Autumns father is very controlling – choosing her doctor, who she can hang out with (Evan), and even going so far as to say where she can work. Luc cannot stay away from Autumn and they find a way to be together. But at what cost?

Secrets are revealed, true colors come out, a few twists and turns and passion come out. Will Luc and Autumn ever be able to be together in public, or will they have to settle for hiding it from the world?

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a forbidden hockey romance. It is the story of Luc and Autumn. He is a player for the New York Hawks, rich, smoking hot and will own the family hockey team when he retires. There is a little more to it than that but you will discover it in the book as you read. Autumn is the youngest daughter of the owner of the New York Hawks. She is a journalist and has the greatest desire to be a serious writer. It would be a dream come true for her. The poor girls romantic life is in the toilet since she dated a guy for two years that ended up engaged to her sister. The guy is a jerk and just can't keep himself out of the tabloids by saying horrible things about Autumn. Needing to get away from it all she takes off for a much needed break to Vegas. However her father wanted her in Canada while the team plays and the family is all together. However Luc has been benched for threatening the life of another player. Man I was so mad about this. Talk about the perfect set up. Benched is not how he wants to spend his time and he is off to Vegas to get away from it all too. Things are about to get very interesting when no names or jobs or information is exchanged. Now things are about to get very interesting when they see each other again and find out all about each other at a charity game. Can these two overcome a lot of hurdles to be together. I really loved these characters and this story was really good. I don't want to give anything away. But, if you love forbidden romance with twists and turns that keep you engrossed in a book, then you do not want to miss this book.

This is the third book in the Ruthless Billionaires, and it can be read as a standalone, but I am going back to read the others in the series. Oh my, as the saying goes what happens in Vegas…Autumn is a woman who has been through her fair share of tragedies and is looking to live her life the best way she can but is blocked by her controlling father. Luc is a sexy as all get out hockey savant, who has worked hard to attain his status and is due respect for all he has achieved. He is having issues with the new owner of his hockey team and a new player. Each one has come to Sin City to escape their lives and when they see each other, their connection is instantaneous and charged like a live wire shrouded in mystery where they keep their true identities hidden for just one night. This feels like a Romero and Julette story with all the drama and then some. Autumn is dealing with some personal issues and decides to take a detour to Vegas where she meets her mystery man. No names are exchanged, and they both get the surprise of a lifetime when the owner of the hockey team he plays for, who hates him and who wants him off the team anyway anyhow now is introducing to his daughter. In private tells to leave her alone and tells Autumn that Luc is trouble to stay away from him. A captivating story as they both fight their attraction, Autumn doesn't need breathing down her neck, she doesn't need any trouble, so she goes along with her father's plans for her future. But when there's sizzling chemistry and a fiery attraction the fire is about to burn you up. I loved this story there are several moving pieces Luc, the hockey team, Evan the sleazy hockey player her dad likes, her sister Charlotte and her fiancé (who used to date Autumn). Can her forbidden lover, her knight in amor save her or ruin his career? I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Autumn definitely doesn't have the greatest of family as her sister is a piece of work, and her father is doing his best to run everything in her life by holding her inheritance over her head. She goes to Vegas for a breather and indulges in a one night stand with a mouth watering stranger that she never thinks to see again. Turns out that stranger is Luc, a hockey star on the team her father just bought & despises so things are about to get really interesting. The sparks are flying like crazy, and despite the fact that they should stay away from each other, they simply can't do that since that chemistry won't allow for it, not to mention they're perfect for each other so they keep seeing each other on the downlow which kept me quite anxious as the stakes are super high for them if they get caught. There are twists coming in hot as there are few moving parts who don't want to see them together so I was kept guessing throughout. The heat was top notch, and most of the supporting cast was very entertaining. I'm so in love with this series, and this author so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

ARC Review of Ruthless Villain by Faith Summers
* * * * *
A sports romance with a forbidden one night stand turning into something more, as Ares and Venus are craving for each other on and off the ice!

It was one night but it was enought to plague both the minds.
A night of games and no names.
A night that is now coming back to make things complicated for both Luc and Autumn.
Luc is fighting for his career as well as his spot as captain when a family enemy has just bought his team.
Autumn is dealing with being under her father's thumb after a spiralling episode no one lets her forget, on top of her sister and her ex taking up the spot light.
They are both walking a thin line, but are they ready to jump off it together for their happiness?

A great read that absored my afternoon, as Autumn's family drama had me wanting to hit someone and the delicious chemistry between our lovers had me cheering for them.
Interested to see if there is more from this series, because it is sizzling!
A lot can happen one night in Vegas!

Autumn cannot believe her life, it was bad enough her ex is marrying her sister but to a rag sheet that she has a drug problem. She just needs to get away, instead of going to Canada, she heads to Vegas. She has a one night, a wonderful night, with a gorgeous man. They did not give names, just Venus and Aries. Imagine her surprise when she sees him back in NY at her father's fundraiser. He is Luc Le Blanche, a hockey player on the team her father just bought, he has been declared off limits.

Luc cannot believe it, the woman he cannot get off of his mind is the owner's daughter. He has been warned away from her but there is no way he going to be able to do that, they will have to be careful.

There is so much at stake, his career and whatever her father is holding over her head. I loved these two, Luc is just what Autumn needed after what had been going on in her life since her mentor died.

This is the third book in the Ruthless Billionaire series and is Autumn and Luc's story. There is Autumn who is having a really bad time with her sister getting engaged to her ex-boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend giving a story to the tabloids that she has a drug problem. So instead of meeting her family in Canada like she is supposed to do, she heads to Vegas to blow off some steam. She ends up meeting a man at a club, no names are exchanged as there is a contest for Valentine's Day going on and they end up back at his hotel room for a phenomenal night of steamy passion. Luc was in Vegas because of issues with his employer. When they get back to New York, what a surprise it is to learn that he works for her dad and her dad can't stand him. Her dad has a hold on Autumn that makes it difficult for her to see Luc as he warns her off him. Will they be able to keep what started in Vegas going? or will it all fall apart? This was a good read with a story line that keeps you reading to the last page.

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

This year has been many firsts for me, and this author is a first. The book is part of a series, so I was apprehensive going in, but I was surprised that it could be read as a standalone.

The story is between Luc - or Aries - and his Venus aka Autumn Jokobe. He is the NHL star whose team was bought by his dad's old hockey rival who is out to get him. And lo and behold, the rival is also the father of his Venus and gives him strict instruction to stay away from her if Luc wants the Captian position. The story starts off in Vegas, so you know something down and dirty is bound to happen, and the author doesn't disappoint. Luc and Autumn are very attracted to each other so they find a way to meet up in secret. It is a cute story, the writing is good and there is some character development. But I felt there was more potential to explore Autumn's trauma and Luc bringing her back to herself. The ending was wrapped up too quickly in my opinion, but overall, a thoroughly enjoyable story, and I am looking forward to reading about the rest of the cousins and friends.

ARC Review

Ruthless Villain by Faith Summers is a Hockey Billionaire romance. It's the third book from the Ruthless Billionaires series.

This one is about the forbidden love story between Luc Le Blanco, pro ice hockey player and star defenseman for the New York Hawks, and Autumn Jakobe.

Forbidden Love Stories is one of my favorite subgenres and this one is filled with surprises and secret steamy moments. The chemistry between them was off the charts from the beginning till the end. I loved how much of a gentleman was Luc towards Autumn and a caveman but in a good way. Autumn was the more vulnerable character but still, she had spunk. About the plot: it's solely focused on the romance, so it's fun and easy to follow. It has a dual POV and detailed descriptions.
My favorite part was the epic scene towards the end.

If you enjoy sports/billionaire romance then you need to read this one. I will rate it with 4 stars.

An excellent sports romance story that's very well written with likable characters. I really liked the detail in this it really helps bring to light everything happening where you can visualize what's going on as it's happening. I also liked the storyline how it was the father and the heroine with the main issue but of course there was a few other characters with some problems as well. Another thing I really liked was how the relationship formed and came together for the main characters as well as how the truth came out about a certain character who's also kind of the focus of the story at some point. The other thing that I found interesting was the father of the heroine had a family feud kind of ordeal from back in the day with the heroes father. I think that helped add an extra kick to the story. Some other things that I liked was that it was edgy, emotional at times and that it had real connections between the characters.

It Started in Las Vegas

Autumn escapes from her craziness back home to Las Vegas & meets Luc. Agreeing to a one-night stand with nicknames rather than revealing their true identity, their connection is instant. Much too early to say ‘love at first sight’ but each remembers & cherishes their night together. Their paths as being strangers becomes very surprising when they meet face-to-face. Rather than staying apart, they continue dating secretly until they’re caught. Luc, is an NHL hockey star & is ruthless during their games. A juicy story with undercurrents of hatred, a love between Autumn & Luc that cannot be broken & the deep secrets that are revealed when strange things start to surface. Can all this turmoil in their lives be replaced by their deep love for each other & get the HEA they deserve to have? They are far richer than all the money in the world! A really good novel to read!

I volunteered to read this ARC & leave an honest review.

This is the story of Luc and Autumn.
Luc is a hockey player for the New York Hawks. He was benched after a fight and so he took off for Las Vegas. Autumn is a daughter of the new owner of the New York Hawks. Her father Shawn has taken control of her monetary and personal affairs. Autumn has decided to go to Vegas instead of going with the team to Canada. Luc spys Autumn and he thinks that she is a Venus. Luc and Autumn end up having sex, no real names given and no real information is given either. Afterward they each wish they knew how to contact the other. That issue is solved when they are both at an event in New York. Autumn’s father hates Luc and they are forbidden from seeing each other. Will Luc and Autumn be able to figure out a way to see each other? Will Luc and Autumn find love and happiness together?

Autumn and Luc meet one night and don't exchange real names. Its not long before things heat up between them and they share an amazing night. Autumn is gone before Luc wakes the next morning and he tries to find her. Autumn has been struggling a lot with everything that's been thrown at her. They reconnect at an event but when they realize that they have another connection is makes things complicated. Her father warns her away from Luc and sets her up with another player. This player turns out to be a bad guy and her sister steps in to help her even with their issues. When Luc finds out what happened he goes after the guy for what he did to his woman. Will her dad keep them apart still? Will they go against him and be together anyways?

This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I hadn't realized I missed the rest of the books in the series after reading the first two. Luc and Autumn were a fun read. The hockey track threw me off in the beginning only because the previous two books were more finance bro and not athlete. Regardless, it was a good read. The spice was amazing. The secrecy that Luc and Autumn shared was a little angsty but there was really no slow burn, not that I needed that. I'm glad Evan got what he had coming to him. What I didn't like was Autumn's dad. He was a jackass the whole book but then all of a sudden he sees the error in his ways, and everything is all good. He is suddenly proud of Autumn and no longer holding her inheritance over her head using it to control her. Autumn and Luc needed to make him work for forgiveness, but given that he's the dad and coach, I guess he got away with the bare minimum.

Loved seeing the old characters and the bond between all the guys!

Another very enjoyable read from Faith! This one was so incredibly frustrating & aggravating at times. It’ll make you want to scream, but it’s also emotional & sweet. Autumn’s dad came across as a slimy little weasel & I was dying to know what his problem was w/Luc, & why he was so hell bent on controlling Autumn. In the end though I honestly don’t think his need for control in both situations were justified or warranted. I just kept waiting & wanting Autumn to stand up to her father, or the very least for her mother to stand up for her.
I absolutely loved Luc & Autumn. They weren’t just hot & steamy, they were sweet, passionate & perfect together. I think the part that shocked me most about this book was Charlotte’s turn around when Autumn was in trouble.
I’m really looking forward to Hunter’s story next, & I’m glad to see Zoe & Heath getting theirs too!

5/5 ⭐
3/5 🌶️

I just love Faith Summers. Her anti-hero, morally grey men are to unalive for; possessive, obsessive and hotter than Hades. Luc was incredible. I adored how he was with Autumn, he took care of her but didn't treat her with kid gloves after finding out about her past.

The hockey aspects were great. I loved watching Luc and Evan go at it on and off the ice. Evan and Autumn's dad made for quite the villains for both our MCs and gave us quite a few unexpected twists too. I really loved how Autumn's relationships with her family progressed as well.

The ending was perfect and I was so happy Faith gave us the extra bonus epilogue because it was beautiful and everything I wanted for these two.

I am so excited for Hunter (and Asher's) story and can't wait to see what's next!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Autumn Jakobe & Luc Le Blanche. Autumn has been summoned to join her family at the hockey arena in Canada but after reading the article her ex fiance posts about her she has other plans. See Autumn is on her way to Vegas and to drink away this man. What she didn't plan on was Luc. Luc is determined to show is team that he is not a man to be toyed with. Though he is on suspension he is supposed to be at the rink but he has other plans. When a gorgeous woman walks into the club he is at with his brother his plans just got a whole lot more interesting. Can these two find a HEA or when it is found out who they really are will it all go up in smoke?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
