A Steamy, Hot and Heartbreaking Menage Story, With All the Feels. You Won’t Be Able to Put It Down

Their Story
Can three strangers come together and form a life together? Despite living in a town that embraces triad relationships, Zac and Charlie never considered it for themselves until they fell in love with the same beautiful, caring, loving woman. After finally getting over their own issues, they are stunned to find out that Brianna has her own traumas and intends to run. Can they break down her walls and be the safe place for Brianna to land?

Brianna
As a child, Brianna was shuttled back-and-forth between her biological mother and father and her loving foster parents. For the last eight years, she has chosen to live her life alone, but now she is staring down the barrel of a gun and she wants a chance to spend time with the only people who made her feel safe and loved. She speeds Northwest to Fate Harbor, Washington.

Charlie
Charlie was born and raised in Fate Harbor and is proud to be Sheriff of this quiet harbor town. A beer, a game, and good friends suit him just fine for now, but eventually he intends to find the perfect woman and raise the perfect family. Nothing could have prepared him for meeting Brianna.

Zac
Zac moved to Fate Harbor from England and set up his veterinary practice and leads a satisfying life. Does he take in too many strays? Maybe. But he leads a good life that makes him happy. Nothing could have prepared him for meeting Brianna.

In Fate Harbor, Love Comes in Threes.

This is a small town, triad (MFM), stand-alone novel.

Caitlyn O’Leary is a USA Bestselling Author, #1 Amazon Bestselling Author and a Golden Quill Finalist from Book Viral in 2015. Hampered with a mild form of dyslexia she began memorizing books at an early age until her grandmother, the English teacher, took the time to teach her to read -- then she never stopped. She began re-writing alternate endings for her Trixie Belden books into happily-ever-afters with Trixie's platonic friend Jim. When she was home with pneumonia at twelve, she read the entire set of World Book Encyclopedias -- a little more challenging to end those happily.

Caitlyn loves writing about Alpha males with strong heroines who keep the men on their toes. There is plenty of action, suspense and humor in her books. She is never shy about tackling some of today’s tough and relevant issues.

In addition to being an award-winning author of romantic suspense novels, she is a devoted aunt, an avid reader, a former corporate executive for a fortune 100 company, and totally in love with her husband of soon-to-be twenty years.

She recently moved back home to the Pacific Northwest from Southern California. She is so happy to see the seasons again; rain, rain and more rain. She has a large fan group on Facebook and through her e-mail list. Caitlyn is known for telling her “Caitlyn Factors”, where she relates her little and big life’s screw-ups. The list is long. She loves hearing and connecting with her fans on a daily basis.

Cherishing Brianna is the fifth book in the Fate Harbor series featuring an emotional MFM romantic suspense story for Brianna, Charlie, and Zac. Brianna has been living a strict, lonely life for 8 years, trying to outrun the trauma and fear instilled by her nightmare childhood. An incident in Dallas has the walls closing in, and sends Brianna racing to Fate Harbor to spend some time with the only loving family she ever knew. Flying through town she gets pulled over by the broody, hot sheriff, Charlie. She later meets the sexy vet, Zac, with whom she also has an immediate inexplicable connection. What could possibly go wrong when two men who barely know each other fall in love with the same woman? It is a town full of triads after all. Can they make it work? Or will Brianna make good on her promise to leave, before she reveals whatever secrets are keeping her from allowing herself to be happy?

Brianna’s story was a heart-wrenching one. The topics of parental mental illness, child abuse, and the way they continue to impact someone’s life later were written with much grace and sensitivity. I loved the authenticity of the emotions throughout the story. There was plenty of balance with witty banter and fun moments with many of the characters, plus the spicy hot chemistry between Brianna and her guys!🥵 I also loved the way Zac and Charlie balanced each other out personality-wise! Charlie could be a bit of a Neanderthal, but Zac was there to soothe and smooth things over.😂 My only frustration while reading was the amount of time it took for Brianna to reveal her secrets to Charlie and Zac, as it felt like it was starting to drag a bit for me, but at the same time, her situation was complex.🤷🏼‍♀️ I honestly love all the characters in this series and the way they show up for each other. I’m hoping Caitlyn O’Leary will decide to continue it.🤞🏻😉

What resonated with me about this book was not the romance or even the triad angle. What I took away from the novel was how the FMC may deal with the trauma of abuse and the fear of becoming schizophrenic on the surface, but really the internal struggle overall is regarding the paralyzing fear of what COULD happen in the future holding a person hostage in the present. Not only did it look directly at the inner conflict, but in some ways it was more important to focus on the MMCs responses to the FMC. Both reacted in different ways, one more action-oriented and one more mental-oriented. It really struck me just how much people approach relationships only in terms of what they want out of them, particularly for those more forceful personalities used to being authoritative and commanding people to do things. Coming to the realization that trying to make someone see your perspective and agree with it, or make someone do something you feel is best for them . . . those may be important to one person in the relationship, but that’s not THE most important thing. Rather, what’s most important is that if people are being self destructive or self defeating, they must come to the conclusion on their own, just like an addict must choose to enter recovery if it’s going to be successful. I loved this look at mental illness and relationships and felt this was the strongest book in the Fate Harbor series due to the grittiness of the material encasing the romance. In fact, the romance angle was just an added bonus. I gave this a 4-star rating because that was really a huge part of the book’s message, and the way things moved in the second half of the book left me never quite sure if the one MMC ever really committed to his love interest’s needs over his own. He seemed to hear the message, but I never really felt like he accepted it, or he sometimes would conveniently forget it. The other reason was the HEA was -so- abrupt, I was like, “Wait. Where’s the last bit of resolution?” I really wanted a little more wrap up, especially since this was the final book in the series. Maybe even an epilogue that wrapped up any little bits and pieces about the five triads several years later or something like that.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this story. Caitlyn O'Leary definitely saved the best for the last. This story is very emotional. To say Brianna had a tough childhood is an understatement. Charlie grew up in Fate Harbor and loves being the sheriff. Zac has moved to Fate Harbor from England and he loves it. Nothing could have prepared these two men for Brianna. She is convinced that she will inherit her father's illness. Nothing anyone says has persuaded her otherwise. She is determined to leave Fate Harbor as soon as possible. Brianna refuses to be a burden to those she loves the most. She hadn't counted on meeting the two men that complete her. Charlie and Zac are willing to do whatever it takes to take care of and love her forever. Will they succeed? Get this book and find out. I promise you won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Talk about saving the best for last. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series, but I must admit that I thought this one was extra special. Honestly, I think that is simply because of the level of emotions in play here. I also really appreciated the fact that the whole triad idea was something that was not a given from the word, "Go". It gave Zac, Brianna and Charlie's romance a fresh, honest feel that I felt added a level of relatability you don't always see. Add to that complexity of the characters that generates an aura of genuineness that makes you feel deeply and fall quickly for them, and you have yourself a powerful and passionate read that is just plain incredible. Expect lots of heartstring tugging as the inner turmoil, emotional baggage and a wealth of feelings flow smoothly over the pages to give your heart a high intensity workout. This is my objective, unsolicited review.
