Who said three's a crowd?
Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland's story is one of best friends finding their way to one another with a little help from the perfect person to complete them. I always enjoy a good friends to lovers romance, throw in the fact they the friends are both male and that bumps it up for me, and then add in a woman that get the two friends to admit their feelings towards one another and I am all over it. It's like I'm a little kid in a candy store and I have grabby hands because I can't get enough of it. Ethan and Lincoln have been best friends for most of their lives and Ethan's family, The Montgomery's, consider Lincoln family. At some point they each started to develop feelings for the other but never let on for fear of harming or loosing their friendship. If you read the first book in the series maybe you picked up on the glances and lingering looks they gave one another, I know I did and couldn't wait to see what Carrie Ann Ryan had in store for them. Holland had a terrible day, she was dressed and ready to walk down the isle to marry a man she thought she loved, loved enough to marry anyway, but then she ran out of the church in her wedding dress after calling the wedding off. I soooo want to tell you why she did that but I don't do spoilers so I won't, you'll just have to read the book to find out. Ethan and Lincoln ran into Holland at the park while she was drinking wine wrapped in a paper bag while still in her wedding gown. The attraction was instantaneous on all of their parts but lets be real the men were gentlemen and weren't going to do anything about it since she was wearing a wedding gown. Lets just say this was the start of a beautiful friendship between the three of them. There was some major angst in this story, and it lingered for a bit but you know if you have read any of Carrie Ann's books before we are always gifted with a HFN or HEA ending and not a cliffhanger so read with the knowledge that things will workout. This is an easy book to recommend especially to those that enjoy the friends-to-lovers trope, menage romances, even to those that enjoy MM reads and don't mind a Female being with them, because the love is plentiful and it's given and taken all ways. But please remember this is for anyone 17 and over due to content. Happy Reading!!!

Ethan and Lincoln have been best friends since childhood and in love with each other for almost as long but never wanted to risk their friendship. When they meet Holland, a woman that’s just found out her fiancé has been cheating on her , she ran from her wedding. Holland was their missing piece, the person giving them the courage to finally move forward and reveal their true feelings for each other and her. Sweet, sexy, a little dramatic with HEA.

This tale unfolds around Ethan Montgomery, his best friend Lincoln, and their shared girlfriend, Holland. Carrie's storytelling captivated me; it was sensual, thrilling, and deeply romantic for the trio, often referred to as a 'throuple.' Yet, to me, it simply represented love. They discovered love amongst themselves and made it flourish. The bond they formed was exhilarating. Holland was found on a park bench, donned in a wedding gown, having just discovered her sister and fiancé together moments before her own wedding. Ultimately, this heartbreak led to her serendipitous union with Ethan and Lincoln. Her mother, a harsh woman, expected Holland to forgive her sister's betrayal and celebrate her sister's new engagement to Holland's ex-fiancé. Then there's Damien, obsessed with the notion that Lincoln, a painter and artist, was his possession because as Lincoln's agent, he had propelled him to fame. The narrative beautifully explores the unconventional love of three individuals who, against all odds, find harmony together, with Holland as the pivotal force.

I loved Ethan, Lincoln and Holland. Holland starts the story on the worst day of her life that was supposed to be the best. It is her wedding day but unfortunately her fiancé is with someone else. So she grabs some wine and leaves in her wedding dress. Enter two knights in shining armor, Ethan and Lincoln. These two have been best friends forever and when out for a run they come upon Holland. They help her figure out her short term plans so she can start to rebuild her future. The three become friends. Ethan and Lincoln have both been attracted to each other but both afraid of ruining the friendship have never told the other. One night the three of them are hanging out together and a little alcohol helps them to realize there is more they want together. The three slowly navigate a relationship but find the same problems that a couple would have. They have a few things working against them such as working to hard and being afraid to fully open up. When the trio is hit with something horrific they must find a way to communicate with each other to get their HEA. I really loved their journey. Great characters and chemistry.

I was so thoroughly disgusted with Ethan. He was the weakest character Carrie has ever written. Lincoln and Holland were somewhat stronger, even for a threesome that could have been so much more. This entire story lacked what I've come to expect of the Montgomery's.

Sated in Ink is a hot, steamy read. The chemistry between Lincoln, Ethan and Holland is well portrayed by Carrie. I felt a few unimportant things were too prominent such as the references to Mario Kart. But I'm not a gamer so it could just be my thoughts. I've read other Montgomery books and have enjoyed them.

The love story of Ethan, Holland, and Lincoln. Holland is a run away bride. On her wedding day she walks in on her soon to be husband getting a blow job by her sister. She is setting on a bench drinking when she meets Lincoln and Ethan. Will a broken girl find love with two men? Great story.

Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland's story is one of best friends finding their way to one another with a little help from the perfect person to complete them. This triad is unique! Ethan and Lincoln have always been attracted to each other. But, never wanted to cross the line because of their friendship. Enter Holland. They meet her as she left her wedding!! Caught her sister and ex in a compromising position. And realized this was probably not the first time they had been together. So, she left. And, she runs into Ethan and Lincoln. They wonder what her story is and and were worried about her and decided to ask if she needed help. She shares her story. Boy, they were mad and wanted to go after her ex. But knew Holland needed them to be there for her.
The chemistry between these 3 is off the charts!! They are attracted to each other as a triad and individually. The guys realize that even though they have a attraction to each other they are also attracted to Holland. They don't believe it is one way or the other. Holland believes this is temporary. When a little twist is thrown their way, they realize that they don't want anyone else. That they would all be crushed if they didn't have the other 2 in their lives. With the help with friends and the Montgomerys, they find their way to their HEA.
Like another person said, I was rooting for them all through this book.

Really enjoyed this book as well as the three main characters. Two guys who grew up together and were the best of friends who secretly loved each other. Add in Holland whose family needed taken down a peg or two and they were the perfect partners. Nice twist and thank goodness they came to their senses.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Characters were too idiotic
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 29, 2022
Apart from a few typos this book would have had a higher score if not for the idiotic behaviour of the three main characters. Their repeated, unnecessary, and stupid actions just got worse as the book went on. I get that this is a romance, and romance characters have flaws. But these three!!! By the end of the book I was so angry with them I honestly did not care if they got their HEA.
