I used to live in darkness and a comet soared through my night sky. So I made a wish.

Blood is my sanction.
Pain is my salvation.
Fear is what I instill.
Especially for my Comet.
The warm barrel of a gun against my head? It won’t stop me from protecting what is mine.
Even if it means spilling more blood.
My love for her has been tested and I’m furious.
Seconds has turned to minutes.
Minutes has turned to hours.
And suddenly months have gone by without a change.
Trying to make Daphne remember is getting us nowhere.
It’s time to accept our fate.
This is the new us.
Giving up isn’t an option, but moving on is, and we are doing it together.
While we figure out how to be together again, we wait for her stepfather to be sentenced.
Even if I want to be the executioner.
And while time creeps by, I don’t give up hope she’ll come back to me.
In the chaos of fighting for our lives, fighting the flames that try to take us down, there is one thing stands strong.
Us.
She’s mine.
And there are no limits to protect what’s mine.
A taste of time is nothing compared to the history we hold.
And sometimes time tells us when to let go.
But I’ll hold on tight until my death.
...And wishes do come true.

As Daphne would say, Holy Moly, talk about knocking my socks off. Tongues Taste exceeded beyond my expectations. I am at a loss for words on how fantastic this book is. It’s no secret Tongue is my favorite in The Ruthless King MC series. K.L. Savage is the queen of pulling at your heartstrings and the MC world. I just love all the men and women from The Ruthless Kings.

Tongue’s Taste starts where Tongue’s Target ended. It’s a hell of a doozy. The book began with a bang and just kept them coming. Fast forward a few months later, and Daphne still doesn’t have her memory back from when she was in Vegas. She can feel her love for Tongue and how he feels. Their love for each other is beautiful and filled with passion, evolving, and, yes, obsessive.

Everything you are, Daphne, it’s mine. Do you understand how dangerous it is for a man like me to love someone as sweet as you? I could ruin you.” I rock myself against the space between her legs. “I don’t think you could ever ruin me. You’re the only one who’s stayed by my side.”

I love how Tongue was so patient with her and help find their way to each other and forget about the past to move forward. He may be a ruthless man, But his love for her is deep and kind. Tongue would burn down the world for her. One would die without the other.

“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. The only woman who has ever taken my heart. I love everything about you.”

I was a little scared going in and what would happen after how Tongue’s Target ended. However, I pushed that aside and absolutely love this book. Seer’s visions put me on edge, and Pocus had me laughing. Daphne and Tongue show what limits each other will go for the other. One person that doubted it and never saw it coming. Daphne and Tongue are perfect for each other, and I am so ecstatic how the author wrote their characters and plot. I wouldn’t change a thing.

When you're always in the shadows, coming out into the light isn't something you're ready for. That all changed for Tongue when he met Daphne. She was everything he never knew he needed. When she lost her memory, he was determined for her to get it back.

Diving right in from where Tongues Target left off, we see the journey that Tongue goes on to help Daphne remember- that she knows deep down that she loves him. She is his life force. Her heartbeat is tied to his.

He soon learns that maybe it's time to stop trying to get her to remember the past and build a new future.
That future is something that he can't live without and she knows is right. Even if she can't remember. She feels it.

My emotions were so up and down in the best way. The love they have, new and old, runs so deep. They show what it's like to have the other half of your soul, and how almost losing them can completely obliterate you.

Their love is timeless and unlike any other. Aways changing and evolving. Learning to accept the new and know that it's okay to not remember the past.

The truths we learn, the possibilities that are brought forward, it all comes down to one moment. One moment that can change their fate forever. The enemy however, doesn't know the truth about how deep their love is.

Their love brings them out of the world they're trapped in and into a world that's made just for them.

I swear my goodreads hates me, because I *know* i posted my review for this book before release day and now it's nowhere to be found. *sobs for eternity*

But YA'LL. TALK ABOUT A CONCLUSION TO MY FAVORITE RUTHLESS COUPLE, EVER!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness, I have been not so patiently waiting for this book to hit my kindle, and once it finally did, I was finished within only a few hours and was left wanting to go back and read this trilogy all over again. KL truly outdid themselves here, and it just goes to show that with every installment in the Ruthless Universe(s) their writing just keeps getting stronger. I seriously can't get enough of these two!

Ok, so we pick up right where Tongue's Target left off, with Tongue and Daphne squaring off with her evil fake daddy, and all the bloody chaos that ensued. Now Tongue's world is being held by a string once agian with the fallout of all of that, and the poor man is going out of his head to get his comet to remmeber him. It's like there's a wall within her mind, and she just can't seem to climb it. Tongue however, beautiful, sensitive, sweet Tongue knows their love is strong enough to overcome anything, even a fractured mind. And oh my stars, their love is just so freaking magical. I seriously could not love these even more than I already do.

I loved the slow and quiet way Daphne came back to Tongue, and just how strong she really was. She was fighting with who she really is and the woman that Tongue remembers and puts on a pedestal, and the two just kept colliding aginst each other, which made it frustrating for them both. But once they had an honest conversation, Daphne flourished again, and their love turned more deeper if that's possible, more possessive and obsessive in the best of ways. And seriously, their sexy times were by far some of the best firey scenes I have EVER read. Seriously, I needed my husband, a cold shower, and a cigarette after one particular scene. You're welcome. ;)

What I love most about these two is how they defy every odds stacked against them. They are soul mates in every sense of the word, and just fit together in the most unexpected ways. Their love literally defies time and reason, but it's so *them* and I just cannot stop gushing about it. I love how this Ruthless man who only sees himself as battered and bruised and not worthy of Daphne's love can be such a gentle and just so pure with his love. And Daphne's possessive side really comes out tenfold here, and I LOVE IT. Girl knows this is her man, and she will fight to the literal death to keep him.

I don't think there was a better way to end their story (and you know we will see more of them in the other books too!) and I'm just so grateful that I was able to experience their love first-hand. I just can't recommend this beautiful couple enough!!

**Remember, this is not a standalone, and you must read Tongue & Tongue's Target before reading this one.

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

That may be the most beautiful and the most intense book by the authors I’ve read so far.

From the previous book about this couple, I had already gathered that they were intense–in love, in lust, in violence. Both characters have a troubled past, and they learned love and relationship with each other.

This time, with Daphne’s amnesia, they have to start again. Not from the beginning, since Daphne still has feelings for Tongue. But she doesn’t remember their story, and she has some heavy stuff to deal with, ie a murderous stepfather and a new dad who just wants to know her. No spoiler here, it happened in the previous book and it’s just the continuation.

In the meantime, waiting for his love to come back to him, Tongue experiences various feelings and learns to adjust to them. I enjoyed watching him change bit by bit. Though he’s still the same at his core–expect hard kinks and raw violence. People with triggers, be warned, this is not a romance for the faint of heart.

I also loved the interactions between the couple and the members of the MC club of NOLA. I felt they were more genuine and more interesting than the ones usually written in other books by the authors. They were less gimmick-y.

The tiny touch of supernatural, through Seer’s visions, was kind of refreshing. More so than in previous books, where he arrived as a terrible deus ex machina. This time, he was a real character, and though his intervention is crucial, he opens up to Daphne and I really liked that scene.

The three books about Tongue and Daphne are good, but this one is more. It’s great.

Quickie

- Series: Ruthless Kings MC Las Vegas chapter #15 (can technically be read as a standalone, but will be most enjoyed after reading Tongue and Tongue’s target)
- Hashtags: #MC romance #dark romance #broken characters #age gap #amnesia
- Triggers: mention of past assault, of child abuse, and of murder, blood play, torture, animal abuse
- Main couple: Daphne & Tongue
- Hotness: 5/5 (but can be disturbing)
- Romance: 4/5
- + Tongue definitely upped his romantic skills in this one
- – the closures both characters needed felt a bit rushed

Tongue’s Taste is the 15th book in the Ruthless Kings MC Las Vegas Chapter by the the writing duo KL Savage. This is not a standalone and at minimum needs to be read after Tongue and Tongue’s Target, but best read in order with the rest of the series. Tongue’s Taste starts right where Tongue’s target left off. Daphne’s memory is gone and Tongue is struggling with how to best support the woman he loves. Eventually, Tongue realizes that the past she can’t remember may not be as important as the future they can forge together.

What a special ride for all of us Tongue fanatics out there! The storyline was fantastic and wrapped up a lot of dangling threads from the previous books. It was so wonderful to see how much Tongue has grown as a man through his love for Daphne and all the trauma that’s occurred. He’s still the same sexy psycho we all know and love, just …. more! Daphne is still the wonderful sweetheart she’s always been and it was nice to see her experience the wonder of their romance all over again. She’s not repulsed the darkness in side of him and her own manifestations from his darkness have only mad her stronger. She makes him “feel … human, instead of like some freak like I’ve always been”. Their love is certainly special and their smexy times super hot and likely not everyone’s cup of tea, lol. If you’re in the mood for something a little “different”, Tongue and Daphne’s story is likely for you!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Second Chance
Angst: 😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: knife and blood play

It has taken me a bit to come to grips and terms with this story. It will hit you hard with the feels. Gut you and break you but mend you so much more too. If you haven’t been reading as the books release, be it the Las Vegas crew to the Hellhounds crew, I highly recommend to read them aside from the first two stories of Tongue and Daphne. With that being said, you dive right in from where Tongue’s Target leaves off and it is a ride and a half. I was blown away as the story progressed, not just by the concept but also by the development of Tongue. He grows so much and you cannot help but love him. From the start of the Ruthless Kings to now, I am just blown away at the depth of the character that Tongue is.
With that being said, there are some intense and twisted moments in this book. Wouldn’t be a KL Savage book without it. I felt they really pushed the boundaries with this one and I lived for it. Seeing Tongue be there for Daphne is utterly everything. Especially with everything else in play in this story. My heart hurt and ached so much but burst with all the emotions as everything happened. Not just for Tongue and Daphne but for Mercy, the crew in NOLA and so much more. The way things are woven together will just blow you away.
The one thing I can say is that this is unique, spellbinding and raw. You run a gamut of emotions that will rock you to your core and leave a piece of your soul with the world that Savage has created. I have adored this series since the first book but Tongue has always had a special place in my heart. Seeing him chase and catch his Comet from the shadows was utterly stunning.

** I WAS GIVEN AN ADVANCED READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **

I have been on pins and needles waiting for this book. Watching for clues in all the books that came out between this and Tongues Target.

I had many theories about this book, some founded, some unfounded, and a few that just popped into my head that made me both dread and want this book in my hands.

KL Savage did it again, knocking it out of the park! The anticipation that KL built towards this book was not wrong! It was worth every grueling moment.

The growth of their relationship was something that I didn't really expect too much but loved to watch and see. Watching Tongue's devotion for his Comet is something only sick twisted fairy tales are made of. I wanted to be submerged in and want that blind devotion from someone and give it back just as hard. The way he was tender with her as needed but was more than willing to be raw and broken as needed with her as well.

I cannot recommend this book enough! This whole Ruthless underworld is a trip that I think everyone needs to take!

Want to rate this book a 3.5 so I rounded it up. I know I'm in the minority about Tongue as for many he is the favorite but not me. Out of all the books in this series about him this is the best one in my opinion. A little more action but still a lot just thoughts and more sex than book. I love a great sexy scene but this is over kill and excuse my pun.

Don't want to give spoilers so I will say we learn more about why he he has locked all feelings up and he starts to get some back. Of course we know that is mostly due to Daphne but a few others are thrown in there.

Loved this one so much

This third installment of Tongue and Daphne's story is my favorite. We get to meet the New Orleans crew and they seem as much fun as the Vegas crew. I hope they get their own series.

I loved Tongue and Daphne's growth.

So glad the book starts off exactly where the last book finishes. Such an emotional roller coaster of a book. Very gritty and raw. Check triggers. Poor tongue goes through the ringer and so does Daphne

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This is one story that will remain with me for a long time to come. Such an emotional journey that shouldn't be missed. I started and ended this book sobbing and it is all due to the this amazing story. The love that Tongue and Daphne share is just so moving and it still as I am writing this brings tears to my eyes. They have both been through so much and to be able to overcome and love someone after all the pain and suffering they have gone through is simply awe-inspiring. I have loved several characters in this series and Tongue is one character that simply melts my heart, he is so damaged that he doesn't feel at all until Daphne, she is the light to his darkness. I don't want to go into this story too much as it would spoil it for any other readers, but I have to say I love Happy and Smiley so much. I loved getting to know more about Seer in this story he was always someone that intrigued me and I do hope we will see more of his story in a future book. I have to finish by saying that K.L. Savage did it again and when I don't think their words can blow me away, they completely do it in a different way. I can't say enough about how much I love K.L. Savage's books but you need to read one and I know you will be hooked like I am. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK & SERIES!!!
Tongue and his swamp kitties are the heroes of this entire series. This man has overcome so many demons, and the reception he and Daphne get when they finally come back home is everything. A man who's only ever wanted a family to love him unconditionally, he finds that in Daphne, his gators, and eventually his club. God I love him.
When I normally finish a book, I come here, click my star rating, and then instantly start to write. This wasn't the case with Tongue's Target, and I am trying to analyze why and not coming up with anything. I clicked my 4 star rating, and then instantly clicked off the review. I think it's because there are no words to describe this world. It may have started in Vegas, but now it's a Ruthless world. I think it may be more accurate to build a list this time around.
What I did like:
-As a part of her dystrophia, Daphne loses her memories of the past. It's a way to protect herself when life gets too heavy, but it also means she loses her memories of Tongue. This might sound a little weird, but what I really like about her is that she knows she doesn't remember him, but she never gives up on the feeling that there might have been something there. She just keeps impressing me with her loyalty to stay the course where Tongue is concerned.
-On the flip side of that, I love that Tongue eventually realizes that she may never get her memories of them back. Instead, he's willing to accept her as she is now. It's not perfect, but it's better than losing her all over. In my opinion, he's never really had unconditional love before, so he's willing to hold on to the one person who gives it to him freely. I hate to say it, but we fell in love with his psycho side, but the lost little boy is still there, and he's just as equally lovable.
-There are a few situations that Tongue finds himself in that are hilarious. He has to navigate through social interactions. The fact that he actually tries warms my heart. You can tell when he's had enough though because the threats start to come out.
-New Orleans: I know each chapter's different, but they have definitely pushed Atlantic City to the bottom. Not sure if they beat Baton Rouge yet, but only time will tell!
What I didn't like:
-First of all, I did like this book. I don't think KL can write a bad book, so that's not where I am going with this. However, Whistler and Rainbow were in leagues of their own. When you compare Tongue's Target to them, it's a little lacking because they were so well done.
-I liked learning more about Ruthless Kings of New Orleans, but I wish the timeline would have progressed a little faster. At one point, I even wanted to see Baton Rouge make an appearance. It's all Louisiana, right? New Orleans is definitely a different breed, and I can't wait to read some of their stories. However, I wanted to see Tongue welcomed back into Vegas. The little snippets that we've been given so far just weren't enough.
-Tongue's Taste opens up right where Tongue's Target ends. I liked that there is no gap in the timeline. However, I thought that what should have been a major plot point kind of simmered out. It's in the beginning and brought up later on, but it really doesn't become a focal point. I thought it could have been better developed as an additional plot. They're an MC, and this was where most of the dangerous situations were situated around.
Was this book worth the wait? YES!!! Jumping right in where Tongues Target left off (thank goodness, because that ending was killing me) we get to watch Tongue and Daphne find their way back to each other. The book made me smile, had me worried for the characters, and was full of enough hotness to melt an iceberg.
"He's more of myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same" A quote from Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and Daphne's favourite book. And if this quote doesn't describe these two I don't know the one that will.
Everything Tongue does to show his love for Daphne is out of the ordinary just like the man himself. But their love is soul-deep the kind that isn't from one lifetime but many. The characters seem so different from each other you wonder how they work, while Daphne is light and Tongue is dark together they feed off each other and share the good and bad parts of themselves. Making a couple who are a force to be reckoned with.
I highly recommend Tongue's Taste but don't forget to read at least the other books about Tongue first. Tongue and Tongue's Target. If you really want to get a scope of the character of Tongue though you should start at the beginning of the Ruthless Kings series. He features in all of them and you will understand his softer side a lot better if you get all the background of him. Plus it's just a really good MC series.
My frustration with this book was the wait between Tongue's Target and Tongue's Taste. Thankfully for you, both are released now and you won't have to wait. Unless you're reading the Ruthless Underworld series in order because then you've got to get through 10 books before Tongue's Taste. Don't get me wrong those books are just as good but it's the cliffhanger in Tongue's Target that will have you wanting to skip ahead. Should you? I say no. Read them in order it really is the best way.
Now I'm just hanging out for the NOLA chapter. I curse K.L. Savage every time she introduces new characters because I just want to learn more about them. I hope Hex and Seer get stories soon, I think they deserve some love too. ;)
Happy Reading
Enjoy your next escape. :)
"You're my Comet, the wish that always comes true."
Tongue... His fierce protectiveness over Daphne will not allow him to be far from her as he waits, and hopes, that she will remember and come back to him.
Daphne... Struggling with her memory and recovering from her accident, she's not sure what to do but knows that there is something strong between her and Tongue.
Story... Tongue and Daphne are staying at the NOLA clubhouse while she heals and they await her stepfather's trial. When things do not go as planned and everything around them starts to change, they are forced to do what they do best, to try and survive everything that is thrown at them.
"Sleep tight. I love you more than bees love honey."
My thoughts... I could not wait to get back to Tongue and Daphne to see where their story was headed and it did not disappoint. This one starts right where Tongue's Target ends and has a fair amount of vulnerability and raw emotion. I feel that we got a deeper glance into Tongue as he reassured Daphne that they were meant to be together. I love that Happy has a friend to play with. I love all the Ruthless Kings and can not wait for more from them but I think Tongue will always be my favourite.
5 maple leafs... Tongue's Taste is book sixteen in the Ruthless Kings MC: Las Vegas series and a suspenseful mc romance that can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the whole series to get the full experience.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Perfect! K.L. Savage tortured readers with the cliffhanger to Tongue's Target but she has fully redeemed herself with Tongue's Taste. This book starts just where Tongue's Target ends at the cliffhanger. If you haven't read Tongue and at least Tongue's Target you must before beginning this book. Tongue and Daphne are soul mates with more history than we know. Their love has grown despite roadblocks and even though Daphne has no memories it still is raging.
Tongue and Daphne are not your average couple. The darkness in Tongue doesn't scare Daphne in fact she loves it. Daphne gives Tongue feelings of love that he has never had bringing him out of the shadows. He has such a tenderness underneath all of that gruff. He is an unsecure little boy when he opens to Daphne. Tongue's Taste continues the emotional rollercoaster for the reader. I found myself smiling, in tears, holding my breath and on the edge of my seat. I trust the master KL Savage on the journey she takes me (although I often curse her along the way).
I am not going to go into the specifics about the plot because there is so much going on I couldn't do it justice. Just take my word for it...it is a journey you must to take. You won't be sorry if you take this one until the end. I've always had a soft spot for this couple, even more so after everything they have gone through. I love that we get to know the guys in NOLA better as 99% of the book is set there. I can't wait to dig further into them. They are definitely an interesting bunch, very different than the Vegas guys. My only negative part of the review is that the story ended much too soon for my liking. Pick up the three Tongue books at least to get an introduction to the Ruthless Kings if you have never read one of them. None in this series or the spin offs has not been worthy of 5 stars!
This book in the 15th in the series. But more books intertwine with the series. I love all of K.L.’s books. This one was no different. If you haven’t read that series, you will probably be okay as long as you read Tongue’s Target first. This is a continuation of that book at the least. Daphne still doesn’t remember. Tongue has been patient and is willing to do whatever it takes. But maybe just maybe they need to stop trying to get her to remember and just move forward as they are. If she is going to remember it will happen. Focusing on it maybe be in hindering instead of helping. Mercy wants to get to know his daughter as well. The Kings are waiting for them to come home to Las Vegas. They are waiting to find out if her father will be put in jail or not. All these things are weighing on them. They need to just move forward with each other. Tongue doesn’t care if she ever gets her memory back. They can make new memories. They are meant to be together that is all that matters. Tongue is one of my favorite characters in this series. He has been through so much and got just a taste of happiness with his comet. I want him to get everything he wants. He and Daphne are meant for each other. They deserve their happily ever after. I can’t say enough about his series. These characters have such depth and realness to them. I wish I knew these people in real life. These men are ruthless. They all have complicated pasts. They are willing to do whatever they have to for each other and their brotherhood. But when they meet the one who is theirs, they go are willing to go to hell and back for them. I recommend all of K.L.’s books. They are fit together. Badge is next and that book should be extra interesting. I can’t wait. Congrats on another fantastic book K.L. Savage.
TONGUE’S TASTE is the sixteenth instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS MC: LAS VEGAS dark, erotic, MC romance series, and the third story line focusing on of Wayne ‘Tongue’ Hendrix, and Daphne Lace. TONGUE’S TARGET should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of TONGUE’S TARGET #10.
WARNING: Due to the graphic nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. If you have not read any of the previous story lines focusing on Daphne and Tongue, there may be spoilers in my review.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Daphne and Tongue) TONGUE’S TASTE continues to follow the volatile and unconventional relationship between Daphne Lace and Wayne ‘Tongue’ Hendrix. Daphne and Tongue are currently in hiding with the New Orleans’ chapter of the Ruthless Kings MC. Daphne’s crazed step-father is desperate to locate our story line heroine but demons from her past have reclaimed our heroine such that she can no longer remember the man that she loves. As Tongue struggles in his efforts to bring Daphne back to the present, Daphne’s birth father Mercy is desperate to start a relationship with the daughter he has never known. Memories will surface as secrets reveal the painful truth about what was and what will never be.
TONGUE’S TASTE is another dark, gritty, raw and emotional story line focusing on violence and abuse, and the highly sexual and unique relationship between our story line couple. We learn a little bit more of the Ruthless Kings MC: New Orleans chapter including an up close and personal look at Hex and Seer in action. KL Savage pulls the reader into a haunting tale of betrayal and vengeance, forgiveness and acceptance.
Overall I really enjoyed Tongue's Taste! It warbled between a 5 star and 4 star for a bit but the ending is what cinched the 5 stars! The only downside for me was in the middle we kind of lost the story and it became all about possessiveness and s3x. Don't get me wrong the s3x was great but I wanted a little more story there. The beginning and ending were great though. You will need to have, at least, read Tongue's other two books for this to make sense and even better if you've read the whole series up till this point. It was fun being at the NOLA chapter and meeting all those guys. It was great getting more of Seer in this one, I'm really looking forward to his book! Lots of questions are finally answered for Tongue and Daphne. There were some heart stopping moments that I almost couldn't believe. I was going to be really pissed about one of them but luckily I didn't have to be. Can't say anymore or it will give it all away. Just be ready for lots of twists and turns and the unexpected! This was an intense read at parts and a sweet read during others. I think we really get to see another side of Tongue in this one. I'll be honest and say that I wasn't always a fan of Daphne. In Tongue's first book she had too big of a character change that it didn't seem realistic. She grew on me a bit in Tongue's Target but she really came into her own in this one. I could relate to her better here and she seemed much more like herself.
K.L. Savage did a great job with this one overall and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you've already read the first two you need to read the exciting ending to Tongue and Daphne's story!!
Tongue and Daphne a story of true soul mates. Their love knows no bounds.
Tongue is still standing by Daphne, even though she hasn’t remembered him or their life together. Daphne’s mind has decided to take a step back from life. She’s back in New Orleans where it all began, can she get her memory back by going back to what she knows?
The pain Daphne went through as a child caused her mind to fracture, but Tongue knows that she’s still the woman he loves. He won’t give up on her. Her memory may not be back but there are bits and pieces of her that know that her life is now in Las Vegas.
I love the Ruthless Kings MC books and Tongue is definitely a favorite character. This story was painful, tragic, haunting and entertaining to read. The depravity of these two is what makes them such great characters to me. I love Tongue’s strength, but his naivete of emotions and life in some ways. He had a dark childhood and has seen the darkness that lurks in the world, and he has no problem eliminating anyone that gets in his way of his life, but he also begins to see the good in life around him. Love is a powerful medicine when needed and found. I love Tongue and Daphne; they are two of my favorite Ruthless Kings and their story always leans to the outer limits of reality. They have a darkness within them that lurks, but it also makes them great characters. Tongue is dealing with a lot of emotions in this story, and it had me crying as well as smiling at times. I love this story and I give it a 5-star review.
Oh My Goodness, about the time I think KL can’t surprise or surpass her previous books, she does just that. Tongue’s Taste totally blew me away. Watching this Bad to the Bone Killer’s story come to fruition was nothing short of spell binding. Tongue and his Comet, Daphne, have been through it (not to mention, Mercy, her father and all Tongue’s MC brothers). This book is the end of the Tongue trio and it starts off right where book 2 ended with Tongue facing down the barrel of a gun and Daphne still not remembering their life together.
I won’t spoil the book (That would be a complete injustice to readers) but I will say that Tongue’s Taste is full of suspense, thrills, romance and so much more. Lots of twists and turns and things this reader, who thought she knew Tongue really well, was surprised to see happen. The author really outdid herself with this one.
If you haven’t started the Ruthless Kings series and you like MC this is one outstanding series. You won’t go wrong by starting it today (as well as the spin off chapters which are just starting up). KL Savage took everything they loved in MC romances and decided to write a series like they would like to read and trust me when I say they have hit it out of the park and over the hill with these books. Grab them up ASAP, you won’t regret it.
As for Tongue’s Taste - 2 Thumbs up and there aren’t enough stars out there for how great I thought this book was.
Wow,wow,wow!!! Tongue's Taste is a continuation of book 2 and it pulls you right back into the story, as if you've never left! I was completely enraptured from page one of the enigma which is Tongue...he has never been the person to explain his moves,his intentions and his reasoning...but he doesn't need to because it pours out of him in a river of blood,sin and danger. His love,lust and protection for his Daphne has never waivered...if anything its only got stronger. The hotness and depravity in their love-making,which only belongs to the both of the is even more intense and off the scale than ever before. Daphne's psychosis,as we know,has made her memories bury themselves deep into her being,her soul and Tongue is desperate for her to remember their life, their love and their taste of blood, of family, of sin for each other and he will destroy everything and everyone who gets in his way. Being at the NOLA clubhouse,Tongue tries to make it easier for her to remember,being away from familiar surroundings, and even though they begin to make new memories, it makes her feel even more lost than she already is. Of course being in NOLA,we get to catch up with the Kings there, and there are alot of laughs and action with the guys😊😊K. L brings us the shocks,the blood,the action and they definitely know how to keep us on our toes!!! It's the quickest book I've read of the Kings so far, and I wanted to read it again as soon as I'd finished!!!
‘𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝘆!’ - 𝘋𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘯𝘦
Tongue and Daphne always take me on a wild ride emotional and mentally, so I knew there was no way I would be disappointed or dissatisfied with this book!
In Tongue’s taste you get to fall in love with Wayne and Daphne all over again, as if it’s the first time. I couldn’t think of anything more perfect for this couple.
I loved how we got to explore Daphne’s crazy for once and fully experience her own darkness. She truely is made for Tongue.
K.L Savage knows what they are doing when writing all things Tongue related. He’s probably the most precious character in the Ruthless Kings world.
The way they write Daphne and Tongue’s story is beautiful, they never shy away from the abuse both characters have endured, the issues they have as a result or the darkness that they have. I just can’t praise them enough for creating two amazing characters.
Also, can we all just take a moment to love up on Seer?! We got to see so much of the NOLA chapter in this book and it was awesome but finally being able to see the effect Seer’s visions have on him was just, wow! You never really got to see how much of a burden it could be for him, until this book and it just makes me love that character even more.
Ps. I call dibs on Seer, he’s mine.
Even though Tongue made me cry towards the end, this book was phenomenal!
I can’t wait for the next book that will rip my heart out.
5 stars only because I live Tongue 👅
I have been waiting for this book 📖 for so long. As I'm sure everyone else has. Hopefully the New Orleans chapter will be just as good as Tongues. Tongue is a bit psycho but loves his woman and doesn't share or let others see her naked and keeps they're kinks to the bedroom only. Unlike Ms. Savage's previous book of Reapers.
This book has huge drama that I like and some humor. Especially at the sex store. At first I thought no please don't turn this into out in the open fetish I would have been pissed but thank you it was only humor. This book had a bit to much sex though. Would of liked about a 1/4 for story lines. It was almost like fillers with the sex. Also alligators do Not cry when hurt or curl there tail around they're heads. The tail is not made like that. I had a 2 gator from a baby until they reached 4 ft then gave them to Lion County Safari in FL. They only grunt and make frog sounds. I was a bit shocked at the editing in this book. I kept thinking is it there accents but it didn't make since in some parts.
I don't know who is next but I hope it's New Orleans chapter like Seer's book. We will see. If this author keeps on giving me more Alpha like Tongue and less man and women coupled hoes im back in.
Tongue's Taste has it all, tears, heartbreak, hate, suspense and love. I'm so glad that Tongue and Daphne got not one but three books. This one picks up where Tongue's Target leaves off. They are still two lost and broken souls that need each other to survive and heal.
Tongue is dealing with the fact that Daphne has lost her memory. Tongue has so much to deal with regarding his past that still causes him nightmares but now to not have the love of his life not knowing who he is. Tongue grows so much in this book. He has grown to be the man that we fall in love with. His life depends on Daphne, Comet, so since her losing her memory, he figures that they can start making new memories.
Daphne doesn't remember Tongue or anything around that part of her life but deep down knows she loves him. She wants to remember but no matter what she does her memories are still gone. She decides that she needs to stay until Heath's court case but that never happens. So many things go wrong while in New Orleans that her life is even more of a mess. Can Tongue save her? Will a tragedy bring her memories back?
This story had my stomach in knots, tears falling on my cheeks and my heart skipping some beats. K.L. has you riding an emotional rollercoaster throughout the book but the ride is well worth it. Her writing grips your attention right from the start. She has a way of taking over your soul with her writing and storyline in this book. For me this is book is the best one so far. I highly recommend all three of Tongue's books.
