What’s in the Box?!!! In all seriousness, I can binge on Romantic Suspense books, and Author MercyAnn Summers had me so engrossed that I didn’t see the twists coming in “Ends of Being.” And there were several twists, plus that cliffhanger! Oh my, that cliffhanger. Thankfully, the next book is ready for me to dive into.
The story is told from the present to six months prior and back again. “Ends of Being” follows Antoinette/Toni, who is light, carefree, and fun. She especially has fun needling her co-worker, a nerdy Clark Kent type who wears golf sweaters. She doesn’t realize that there is more to Darius/Dare than what is projected on the outside. At the same time, Author MercyAnn Summers draws readers in with clues to what has happened to Toni and how things connect so that we won’t see those twists coming. Readers will see the evolvement of Toni’s character as she goes from fun-loving to something you will not anticipate.
I can’t believe I waited so long to read “Ends of Being.” I even re-read the cliffhanger twice to ensure I understood what was said correctly. And I did. Now off to download Part 2!

From the first page, it felt like this book was already inching towards the top of the roller coaster. At no point did it ever let up and by the end, I was left smiling, exhilarated, and dying for more. I cannot WAIT for the second book in this duet to drop because I need to know how this is going to play out. Toni, our sassy and snarky, FMC is that bestie we all have (at least, dear reader, I certainly hope you do) that is unpredictable, hilarious, and has this spark of rebelliousness that I wish I had. Dare, our hot AF MMC…. Well… you’re just going to have to meet him for yourself. But I will say - I’m my head all I kept seeing was that gif of Tom Ellis from Lucifer getting out of the pool. 🥵🥵🥵🥵 The spice level? Get yourself a fan, a tall glass of ice water, and maybe some super alone time 🥵. The twist???? Nope. Not even gonna talk about it. Read it for yourself. I could not put my kindle down until I hit the end and, even then, I was swiping right praying for a secret bonus chapter. MercyAnn Summers may be a debut author with this novel, but she writes like she’s been at it for years. I don’t think I’ve ever clicked “follow author” faster. STFUBAGGA…. GET. THIS. BOOK. It will leave your head spinning, your knees weak, and your spicy book loving soul desperate for more.
