4.5 out of 5 stars 592 ratings

Bristol Montgomery and Marcus Stearn have been best friends for as long as anyone can remember. Despite what others thing—they’ve only ever been friends.

They share a promise to never to fall for one another.

No heated looks.

No accidental kisses.

And no jealousy over other partners.

The problem? Years ago, they promised each other that if neither of them was married by the time Bristol turned thirty, they’d marry each other.

Even though both have long since decided never to force the other into an arranged marriage, circumstances and sheer stubbornness force them to refuse to back out of their deal.

Now, they’re determined to get married—even as dangerous exes and feelings they deny, block their path.

**Embraced in Ink is a friends to lovers, marriage pact, arranged marriage, contemporary romantic suspense in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder series featuring Bristol and Marcus. Each book can be listened to as a complete standalone. An HEA is guaranteed!**

Another great story about the Montgomery's
“In ten years, if neither of us is married, we get married.” Such simple words that at the time neither gave much thought to but now here we are ten years later and both of them are both still single, so what do you do? Do you bring it up? Do you ignore it? What if, what if you really wanted it to happen but didn't have the guts to tell the other person? So many questions and there are no right or wrong answers to any of them which is what made this such an enjoyable read. Bristol and Marcus have been friends since they were six years old, the best of friends, they were always together and told each other just about everything so when Bristol's thirtieth birthday arrives and neither one of them knows what to do about the elephant in the room Bristol just blurts it out and that is where the fun really begins. I do love the friends to lovers trope I guess it's because I am married to my best friend and I know that it's a great base for a relationship but this one has the added bonus of an arraigned marriage to it, which brings it to a different level. I have been a fan of Carrie Ann Ryan's for a while now and it's because of her writing skills, no matter the subject she gives readers a story that we are able to sink out teeth into and this one is no different. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but I believe you will want to get to know the entire Montgomery Family once you start so jump in where ever you want and enjoy. Happy Reading!!!

Bristol and Marcus's story was emotional.

I could feel the emotions coming off the pages, so I had to keep turning the pages to see what happened next. I was not disappointed.

You just never know who is destined to be your soulmate. True love will always find its way.

Bravo Carrie Ann Ryan for another amazing story!

The tale of Bristol Montgomery, the youngest member of the Montgomery family, is profoundly touching. Bristol and her lifelong best friend, Marcus Stearn, have been inseparable since they were six years old. Sharing every aspect of their lives, the approach of Bristol's thirtieth birthday brought them to a crossroads and an unspoken truth. Bristol's impromptu admission initiated an exhilarating new phase in their lives. Their bond of love and friendship faced trials, beset by external pressures that sought to separate them. The Montgomery's of Boulder form an intriguing family, and I hold dear all those who have intertwined with their lives, be it through love or friendship with the Montgomery siblings.

Of all of the Montgomery books, I think this one hits in my top favorites. I absolutely love childhood friends to lovers, but throw in this not quite arranged marriage and I am in love. Bristol and Marcus struggle with everyone already thinking that they are a couple when they are only best friends, but as a means to not lose their friendship they decide that if they are both single on Bristol's 30th bday that they will get married, but they must remain friends over the ten years to make sure they aren't marrying a stranger. Instead of bonding them closer this bargain actually strains their friendship as they both try to avoid the possibility of losing each other. I loved the twist with Bristol I honestly didn't see it coming but I am glad in the end it brought them closer together!

I really wanted this childhood friends to best friends to lovers book to be great, but it wasn't. Very formulaic. With way too much angst.
I felt like I had to force myself to finish this book. Page after page after page of whiny woe is me. I'm not good enough. I can't figure out why we're still together. And it's all one big fake fake. Not Carrie Ann's best book.

I have really enjoyed this friends to lovers story. Bristol and Marcus have been friends forever. They figured that they would always be that way. When Bristol goes to start her musical career she is afraid she may loose him while away and so she has him promise to marry each other if they aren’t married by the time they are each 30. She never planned for the time to come that they would have to follow through with it. While reading the story you feel they both have felt more for years but don’t want to ruin what they have on a possibility of something more. I loved watching them navigate their relationship. Then throw in her ex and things get more interesting. Great addition to the Montgomery world.

I loved this story of Marcus and Bristol!! They have been best friends since they were six, and nothing more, at least that is what they thought. A bet at Bristol's twentieth birthday to get married if they were both single at 30 comes due. They stumble into an engagement without really communicating. They work it out in the end. I love these two together. Love this whole Montgomery series!!
