    Inked Persuasion is an amazing start to a new series and a whole new bunch of Montgomery’s to fall in love with. Jacob and Annabelle’s story is passionate, heart wrenching and highly emotional. Two people connected in a way that hurts so much that at times uncaring words will be said. As pain, fate and healing all play a part, your heart and emotions will be taken on a roller coaster ride. Their story is witty, flirty, captivating and heartfelt. The ending will have your heart in your throat and anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.

    ‘Inked Persuasion’ is book one in Carrie Ann Ryan’s latest Montgomery Ink addition “Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins”.

    Annabelle Montgomery married her best friend not for love in a romantic way, but as a best friend helping fulfil a dying wish. When Annabelle looses him a few weeks later she is forced into the media spotlight as the grieving widow. So she decides to throws herself into her family business as the architect to make sure she never goes through that same pain and hurt again.
    Jacob Queen was determined to never see Annabelle again after the way she acted after loosing his brother. He was disgusted and angry with her. Now he is back in Fort Collins to help his parents. But avoiding Annabelle is going to be hard consider she is his next door to neighbour.

    Once again Carrie Ann Ryan gives us an emotional roller coaster that is going to rip your heart out, stomp on it, break it and then slowly put it all back together. The amount of baggage and history that these two have to deal with isn’t going to be easy to get past especially when outside influences are determined to keep them apart.

    Be prepared to be swooned, shed some tears, laugh, yell and scream as this book will have you on the edge of your seat biting your nails with anticipation to what is going to happen. The chemistry is off the charts between these two and I loved each and every word from the beginning to the very end.

    Ms Ryan has done a fabulous job with giving us this beautiful story between friends to enemies, enemies to friends, friends with benefits to more, so much more.

    This is the start of the Fort Collins - Montgomery’s !!!
    Annabelle is a widow and her deceased husbands brother hates her.
    Jacob Queen hates Annabelle for taking away the last moments with his brother.
    They have chemistry but didn’t Perdue them because his brother was dying.
    Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

    Although this is book 1 in a new series, it is a spin off from the other Montgomery Ink books and it helps if you're at least familiar with the idea that there are SO MANY CHARACTERS. That is alluded to by a charatcer in the story, so the author knows how overwhelming it can be.
    I have always really liked that the characters that this author writes are 'everyday'. They have normal people jobs and normal people lives, hardly a self-made billionaire among them, which makes them very relatable. This book had all the makings of a great story but for some reason it never really got over ok. Sure, it was an enjoyable read and filled some time but it didn't grab me. I wouldn't read it again, and I don't feel that it's a book that's going to hook any new readers. However, this author is so prolific that there will be another great story just around the corner, so I'll just keep reading.

    Like all Carrie Ann Ryan's book this story has lots of emotions. Annabell and Jacob have lots of history, but not of a romantic nature, they shared the loss of a someone they loved. Now they have to work out their feelings for each other and how they fit into each others busy lives. The Montgomerys are always fun and this new branch of the family leaves us wanting more, I can't wait to see them all find love.
