No matter how hard I try, I can never drown the memories. I miss alcohol.
The craving claws against my stomach every day.
And being in this rehab center doesn’t help.
No one understands how it feels to not be able save someone you love.
I had to watch Macy’s demise.
How she screamed for me to help her.
I hear those screams. They echo in my head. A song on repeat. And a patient here, Sunnie, she tries to make me feel better.
She reads a damn book to me every chance she gets, and it grinds my nerves.
Who the hell is that happy? She makes me want to drink. Then, she shares her pain, and I realize her bright disposition is a mask.
I find myself wanting to make her smile, to make her happiness permanent.
Nothing is ever that easy.
She and I have a common enemy.
My nightmare has been released from prison.
Her nightmare is the reason why he is free.
I want to be done with the MC after they made me go to rehab. But Sunnie deserves retribution.
Macy deserves to finally rest in peace.

I was surpise that I like Pirate less than Skirt. Based on the blurp alone, Pirate should offer much gut wrenching premesis. Instead I found the story boring.

The chemistry between Sunny and Patrick is mediocre. Dragging but no heat on it. I have to admit their banter is also stiff and forced. At least in Skirt, there is some humor on it.

The twist and plot is too many and the climax is... well... anti climax. Overall it is not a bad story. Just lacking.

Oh my heart! This book will give you all the feels. Patrick “Pirate” and Sunnie “Sunshine” are two broken people who suffer from addiction. While individually fighting their demons they find solace in each other, both knowing that two addicts can’t be together but their friendship grows until they can’t fight it anymore. This series is amazing but K.L Savage has outdone herself with Pirate and Sunnie’s story. 5 amazing stars.

I don't say this lightly, but this is hands down the BEST book in the Ruthless Kings series. Pirate -- Patrick -- stole my heart. That prologue had me sobbing in absolute heartbreak.. my god everything about him was decimated right before his very eyes, with no hope of repair. I just wanted to hold the broken pieces of that little boy together who became the lost soul he is.

Pirate is now in rehab, thanks to his band of brothers (lol) and is in a world of pain. He's worst nightmare is being replayed over and over again due to the hallucinations caused by his detox, and his only form of hope comes with the aptly named Sunshine, who just might be his salvation.

Sunshine has been through hell as well, but hides her excruciating pain behind her bright deposition. She's trying to get rid of he demons and the monster hellbent on keeping her a slave to her vices. She never expected to fall for the gruff, heartbroken mountain of a man who screams for his life to end, but they just fit. Sunshine refuses to leave Patrick alone, and they form a really beautiful friendship that quickly turns into a passionate, all-consuming love.

This isn't your regular KL Savage novel, being as most of the events take place in rehab, but we still get all of our Ruthless men that we love! The love story between our main characters was amazing, but I love seeing the brotherhood bond between these badass bikers. They are all family in every way that counts, and that always brings tears to my eyes!

As always, the violence in this series makes me so happy. Maybe that says something about me, but here we have a MC series where the men don't degrade their women, and ruthlessly kill those that abuse them. The gruesome way it's done makes my heart happy!

We also got to see some really adorable moments of the friendship between Tongue and Sarah! I love that man something fierce (and that shootout of him being everyone's favorite was spot on!!) I'm so excited to see more of him!!

This book is a lot more emotional than the other books in the series, which is saying something, but God there is so much beauty too. Patrick and Sunnie are absolutely perfect together, and I just love their love. They complete each other despite, no *because* of their flaws. This book is just so fucking perfect!!!

Next up we have Doc's book, and I have a feeling we know who his love interest is! I can't get enough of this series!!!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

I have to share some of the amazing quotes that I couldn't help but highlight!!

"Greif is a funny thing. It's an ocean, and the waves are constantly trying to tear you down and suck you under until all the fight is gone. Greif can be cathartic. I know if I cry enough, eventually I'll feel better. If I talk it out, punch, scream, lift weights, I can breathe again. There's a balance. Either they sunk or you fight and live. Not everyone lives. Not everyone dies either."

"I think you want to save yourself; you're just too afraid of what comes after you do."

"He's a pirate and I'm lost in his sea, and be and no idea he has taken me under siege."

"I don't want to lose something that feels this good, but when I'm used to feeling so fucking bad."

"The only way this can work is if I'm out together again, a jigsaw, only in an impossible feat. None of the edges match. Pieces of me ate jagged, and none of an aligns how it needs to in order to succeed."

"We are made for each other. Every fucked up bits and broken pieces of us. We fit."

You guys … this story is real. I don’t have any firsthand experience with motorcycle clubs, but addiction *sigh* yeah, me and her go way back. Addiction isn’t something someone chooses for themselves. More often than not, it sneaks up in the most unexpected of ways and before you know it, BAM, there it is. But it’s not a sneak attack, it’s a slow crawl, so when it does BAM you are powerless. It’s a disease that affects more than just the addict, and it never ever goes buh-bye. It comes for you for many reasons and honestly, once it has you locked as a target, again, powerless. But it can be fought. It might take a lifetime, but sooner or later, you might just win because make no mistake, it is ruthless and relentless, but you are stronger. You just have to believe.

First, I’d like to thank the author for making sure this story was told right. Ya’ll know what I mean by that. There is nothing that will set me off faster than a story that is disrespectful to the subject it makes a part of. Everything that happened in this story was relevant and respectful. It was relatable and it was incredibly realistic. And I cried. I cried a lot. Because these people are your neighbors and your friends and your family, the teller at the bank, the cashier at the market; they are everyone in one way or another. And to get to the other side, they need somebody. They can’t do it alone. OH, they’ll try but in the end, someone will have to hold their hand. And sometimes, even then, they don’t make it. I’ve held the hand of a few people in my life thus far and one didn’t make it. Fifteen years later and I am still haunted by it. But this story didn’t trigger me. Yes, I cried for the ugliness in Pirate’s past but also cried for the glory in the present and future. A lot. I cried a lot.

This is the best story in this series thus far. I have loved this series since the beginning but this story stole my breath and my heart. Thank you for telling this story K.L. Savage. Your readers are grateful for your respect and talent. Until next time!

I'm stunned. Gobsmacked. Struck dumb (almost!)

What a ride this was. The interaction between Pirate/Patrick and Sunni was sublime. As their journey starts you see them as they wanted everyone to see them. He's broken, wants to die, and she's so cheerful, trying to break through his darkness.

But as the story moved on and they get to know each other, your perception of them changes to who they really are, 2 broken people, who have dealt with horrendous acts, and who want to reach beyond what life has dealt them to be happy and together.

Mix in with that some of the funniest dark humour, an MC that does not leave a man behind, more twists than a cyclone, and a man who will not be getting father of the year award! You take all that and you end up with one of, if not THE BEST MC story of this year.

I've raved about this whole series since I stumbled across Reaper a few months ago, but this just takes the whole series too another league. Well done.

It has actually taken me a while to sit and come up with the words that would do this story justice. The one thing that I can say, my heart ached so much. I still feel that ache for everything that Pirate has gone through. You get so intrigued about why Pirate is the way he is from the previous books. With his story, you are thrown into a spiral of emotional heartache that will absolutely gut you. Then you have Sunnie. The light in his world. That bright spot for him. But he does the same for her in so many ways. Their connection, even though Pirate fights it, is something so intense and deep. It is so deep and intense. It is all consuming and honestly, one of the most beautiful things I have seen.
With everything that gets thrown at them while in rehab, the club is there for Pirate from the start. There is so much that happens with Sunnie and him that it will blow your mind and leave you absolutely breathless. I love the depth that Savage took this book. The fact that you feel that family feeling with the club even more with this one will have your emotions all over the place. I had tears reading this story.
As a whole, I think Pirate has my heart. How much he endured and fought his demons. How Sunnie just was that ray of light that was everything he needed. I adored Sunnie so much because she just melded right in. She was such a fighter and just someone you root for. This book will blow your mind and leave you wanting in every way possible. With every book, Savage keeps delivering something beautiful, savage, raw and unique. Her words are magic and need to be read! I still need Tongue though. There is just something about him!

Pirate's story starts off with an intensely heartbreaking and shocking backstory. And that immediately pulled me in and had me invested in his recovery. He's an alcoholic, but he's in rehab. It's such a hard journey for anyone, let alone someone with demons from their past they haven't told anyone about.

Then there's Sunshine. Sunshine! What a name. And most of the time the name fits her personality, though I think she forces it. I mean she struggles with addiction and has a rotten past and home life. But these two are so good for one another. In some ways, the steamy moments are way different in this book than the others. It's just as hot, but with another factor that's interesting.

And of course, there's action. Suspense. Alarming and outrageous scenes, and we get to see the club guys, who we love. And a wild ride to the end. Pirate's book just really made me feel, cry, and got me all riled up.

Pirate by K.L. Savage
“Heartache, 5 stars”

When I found The Ruthless Kings series, I binged until I couldn’t binge anymore. Now I’m all caught up and somewhat impatiently waiting for the next book and then the next. It’s a struggle. I was never one for MC books, but Savage has made me like them. Since I’ve started this series Pirate has always interested me. A guy cannot drink that much without having some serious ghosts, and Savage didn’t disappoint.
By the end of Pirate my heart hurt for Pirate and Sunnie, his girl. Their love was so far from unconventional. In fact, they never should have fallen for each other, but they did. Ghosts, demons, whatever you want to call them always reemerge and theirs joined forces. Will these two make it out alive or are they doomed to be a love cut short?

WOW WOW WOW! What a gut wrenching phenomenal read. If you’ve kept up with the series, you know Pirate has a drinking problem. His reasons are his own, not even his MC brothers (or the readers) know the extent of the torture this man lives with to the point he tries to find any kind of peace at the bottom of a bottle. When it got to the point he was licking the dirt around a broken glass bottle, the club put him in rehab. That is where his story begins and Lord have mercy what a story it is. I knew his torment was bad but I wasn’t prepared for the emotional shockwave of a journey the author took me on but I will tell you that reading his story was so worth the trip.

The book is so well written that I felt like I was living the days right along with Patrick (aka Pirate). Pain, guilt, anguish they all tell his story. A story of a man who wants to die by the bottle because emotionally he can't deal with his past. A man who can’t get past one horrendous tragedy even though he was only 13 at the time. He's blamed himself for the outcome for 18 years. 18 years of swimming in guilt while attached to the bottle. He hates that his brothers have turned on him and put him in rehab. Without the bottle he relives his worst nightmare day after day yet he’s determined to keep his past guilty actions a secret and locked within himself. But times are a changin. One annoying patient, Sunny, won’t let him be. She won’t let him just do his time and get out. She’s a literal ray of Sunshine that makes his days a little brighter. But Patrick knows pain and sees it in her eyes. Maybe he can find a little peace and redemption by helping her like she does for him. But then again, maybe not, after all what good is a man whose life is nothing but guilt and a rum bottle.

HOLY COW I can’t tell you how much I loved this book. It might not seem to be your typical MC romance, but it still has all the main elements: brotherhood, suspense, thrilling action, and romance. I highly recommend grabbing it up and if you haven’t read about KL Savage’s Ruthless Kings MC, trust me when I say this is one series you don’t want to miss out on. Easily in my top 5 MC series of all time.

2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars (but it’s worth so much more than 5 stars in this readers humble opinion).

When you live to kill yourself slowly because of a past that is no fault of your own you might be Pirate. When you finally find a reason to live, then learn you are dieing, you might be Pirate.

If you have read the previous books you know Pirate is meantioned here and there but it's always about how he is drinking. Reaper has had enough and sends Pirate into forced rehab. He plans to get out ASAP and get back to drinking. People drink for any number of reasons but it's the one's who never talk who have the biggest reason of all. We finally find out what his is.

Sunshine has had a rough life. She is a heroin junky. Her father is running for mayor so he needs her to clean up. She has had sex with so many people she doesn't even know how many as long as she got her fix. She is in the same rehab as Pirate except she is having fun there. She goes around smiling and pushing the rules. Everything about her is lies. She is not happy even though she smiles and laughs. She doesn't even know that most of her life is a lie but she will.

When everything comes out about both of them they will have to decide if living is worth it.

Yay, this is the second best of this series so far. This one and Tool's.
The change of background felt good and it was what i needed i kinda felt bored avout the same club house and runs, i love rehabs and asylums books.
It was perfect in every part (their present) the only thing i hated was her life up to it BUT since it wasn't her choice like in Melissa's case i easily went past it.
They were perfect for each other, i loved their first approach, i was so sad about Pirate past, i felt his pain. Yes in real life going out of rehab wouldn't be that fast but i chose to let it be. I liked them together a lot.

'The present contains disappointment and poison and you realize something that used to be so pretty is doused in hate.'

It is no secret from my reviews that the 'Ruthless Kings MC' holds a place in my heart. Every couples story so far has broken me in places before I am put back together at the end. Pirate has absolutely shattered me! maybe because although this is Pirates story it is in a large part Sunnies story to. Be prepared to be totally blown away - this book is like nothing you will ever read! Pirate and Sunnies story is brutal, devastating, you will cry ugly tears; you will in places want to shut the book but you will be compelled to finish it because together this couple are beautiful. Their story needed to be told!
Two broken pieces who meet in an unlikely place. but become each others salvation.
"He's a protector. A guard. More than a knight, more than a fighter, he's a warrior."

"If two hurricanes meet, we will engulf one another, creating destruction of epic proportions. And yet, I can't move away from her".

~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This book blew me away. The despair and rage that Pirate feels is so overwhelming. Sunnie brings so much light into his life. Their lives are intertwined and together, they can win this battle. Excellent writing with a spectacular storyline.
~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~

Wow, this was one book I had to process before I could put words down on how it affected me. Such a strong story that really left me a little broken. Pirate and the guilt he faces for the loss of Macy drives him to make his club make a decision that hurts him more. Then he meets Sunnie and her story just shows that two people so broken can find something more. Then the story twists and turns in a way that left me gasping. I love this book, this author and these characters so much. I cannot wait for more from this author but I may need a moment to catch my breath. AMAZING STORY!!!! Wish I could give it more than five stars. K.L. Savage you have rocked my world yet again.

I wasn’t particularly excited to read Pirate’s book (Especially not with knowing that Doc’s and Tongue’s stories follow this one!). That said, I absolutely loved it! I love romances like these that are set in institutions, and this book is set in a rehab centre. Sunnie is a great match for Pirate/Patrick, and, of course, they fall for each other nearly right away. This book feels a lot more real than the others in the series, even if it does fall into the same tropes as the others (the overly tortured hero/heroine being one of them). That said, this book had just the right amounts of romance, thrills, and humour to keep me engaged from start to finish!

I have loved every book in this series but this one ripped every feeling from me you could imagine . In previous books we have seen Pirate always drunk and with a bottle of rum in hand and most of the time a cut-slut on his cock. Yep, I said it and we all know it’s true.

I knew his story was going to be dark but nothing could have prepared me for what Pirate went through or what turned him into an alcoholic. It ripped my heart out and stomped on it . Nothing could have been more devastating then what he experienced. It broke me .

His brothers admitted him into rehab where he met Sunni. Sunni seemed to be happy and have a cheerful disposition but the layers were peeled back and we found out that Sunni suffers from tremendous pain . The things that have happened to her would kill most, and she is damaged, but not broken .

This leaves two addicts in a forbidden relationship trying to pick up the pieces . This story had more than one villain and everywhere you looked there was someone who was a detriment to this couple. As a reader I didn’t know who to trust and the action was nonstop . I felt like I had 5 heart attacks reading this book. For that I just want to say K.L. Savage you are one evil genius and we love you !

With as dark as this story was you would think I was a little crazy when I say I laughed out loud so hard . The comedy in this book was amazing and set a great balance to all of the dark things that happened . All of our favorite MC members and a few
Of their women were present in this book and made it an absolutely brilliant read .

In the end all I can say is this is a series that you don’t want to miss ! The characters that this author has created are some of my all time favorites that I’ve ever read . Each of their personalities are quirky , dangerous, but lovable . They could get gory at times but I loved every single one of them . I can’t wait to find out more of what this gang gets up to in the future. I hope this series never ends !

I am loving this Ruthless Kings MC series and Pirate absolutely gutted me, if you thought Poodle's story was heartbreaking (all of them are, but his was way more) then wait until you read Patrick's. Patrick and Sunni are two broken people that found each other at just the right time. You just have to read it to see how it plays out! ;)

This book was a roller coaster of emotions that will hit you right in the feels and have you invested in the characters from the very beginning. If you can't tell I loved this book! I can't recommend it enough- read this book now!! 5 outta 5 stars from me!

PS: Thank you to KL Savage and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

PIRATE is the sixth instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Ruthless Kings MC. This is thirty-one year old, Patrick ‘Pirate’ Neil, and Sunshine aka Sunnie’s story line PIRATE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

WARNING: Due to the graphic nature of the story line premise, there may be several triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Pirate and Sunnie) PIRATE follows Ruthless Kings MC member, thirty-one year old, Patrick ‘Pirate’ Neil in rehab for his alcohol addiction. Eighteen years earlier Patrick’s life was destroyed , and in the ensuing years Patrick aka Pirate has desperately tried to drink himself to death. Landing in rehab meant Pirate struggled through the horrors of detox but a light in the darkness, his ray of ‘sunshine’ would keep most of the demons at bay. Enter Sunshine aka Sunnie, a heroine addict struggling with some demons of her own. What ensues is the quick building friendship and relationship between Pirate and Sunnie, and the potential fall-out as the past is determine to destroy our leading couple.

Patrick ‘Pirate’ Neil has been battling his demons since the day a monster destroyed his life. At thirteen years old, Patrick experienced what no one should ever experience in the in the ensuing years tried to numb his senses with alcohol and pain. Sunnie never has a normal life, and at sixteen years old discovered the evil that would continue to permeate her life. Meeting Patrick in rehab, a kindred soul, gave Sunnie purpose, if only for a short while.

The relationship between Sunnie and Patrick is forbidden between two patients locked down in rehab and detox but all is not well at the detox centre, and our couple must fight the powers as well as the ghosts from their pasts. The $ex scenes are intimate and edgy.

Several members of the Ruthless Kings MC play secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Gale, a nurse at the rehab centre; Patricia, a counsellor, as well as several orderlies and staff members. The requisite evil has many faces.

PIRATE is a dark, gritty, raw and emotional story line; a haunting, twisted and tragic tale of abuse, power, control and evil. The premise is dramatic and intense; the characters are victims- broken but healing; the romance is opportunistic yet compelling.

Each book in this series has completely taken twists I never thought they would go. We get MC life but so much more about the dark underworld and the precious people that get sucked into it's belly. I was not looking forward to Pirate's story because I knew in my heart, his pain was going to be too much to bear.

What the author's have given us is a truly honest look at addiction. A close up telling of what it means to need something so badly just get through the pain yu will do ANYTHING to just stay numb. This is the unraveling of Pirate's story. And along the way, Sunnie not only hleps him find the brightness, but she gets to have her world righted finally by the MC.

The previous books all had their heroes or heroines with issues. This book does not even come close to those in the amount of emotional overload you will feel for these characters. We don't see much of the MC until the end. But brotherhood always wins the day. Once Pirate realizes what his brothers mean to him, there is no stopping their crusade. Everyone heals better with a little love.

I did receive an ARC of this book. I am hoping it got a once over before publication. Typically, I let things roll--I'm not the grammer police or misspelled word maven. These two authors are well seasoned and have written some of my favorite books. Someone should have noticed the line from Pirate "I nurse her cl1t.... I groan into her cervix...... I am pretty sure his face is no where near her cervix. Given the context of oral s3x, I am pretty sure the cervix is NEVER involved in that process. It's a good 6 inches from where his face is. A different word could have gotten the message across more realistically. I read a lot of books but this flow of their encounter threw me so much, I finished the book and it still weighed on my mind.

Love the series. Love the authors. Can't wait to read more!

The hardest stories are the ones you don't know that need to be told . The stories that are hidden away and waiting to burst out of no where when you reach your breaking point.
Pirate's story is one of those. It's not pretty and the prologue reveals the truth behind the swagger man . The man who was driven to the place he is at right now. The man who has guilt from his childhood and the events that gave his road name.

It's not pretty but Pirate probably one of the best stories I have read from the MC world. His story isn't sunshine and roses. He forced to confront the demons that have made him the man we know . Sunnie is the breath of fresh air that makes him want to be better. He is rough and crass and tells it how it is. Savage isn’t unforgiving about Pirate and his story. He needs to be told this way to understand the pain and the way he thinks
As the world around them isn’t pretty and the nightmare isn’t over.
Addiction isn't a pretty story. And Pirate's story isn't a unique story but Savage made him own it and gave him Sunnie who had her own compelling story to tell. This made this book special. The pages just releases all the pain of their worlds as they come together and realise they are stronger together. This isn’t two people who are addicts becoming crutches for each other. This is the story of two people reclaiming their lives who happened to have a problem. A problem that has made them stronger together and I can’t wait to see the new and improved Pirate in the future books.

Finally the time has come for us readers to get to know more about Pirate from the Ruthless Kings, we’ve had glimpses of him throughout the previous books in the series, the last one in particular portraying a rather sombre impression of the man who’s rarely been seen without a bottle of booze in hand and a club girl at his feet whilst he’s passed out drunk.

After witnessing the true extent of his alcoholism, Pirate’s brothers from the MC put his backside straight into rehab, unwillingly would be an understatement, he was very unhappy with his brothers for putting him there, so unhappy that he actually banned them from visiting him. During those initial first few days whilst drying out Pirate aka Patrick has horrendous hallucinations triggering disturbing memories from his past however there's a ray of light for him in the form of fellow rehab resident Sunshine aka Sunnie, she’s in the facility for treatment of her drug addiction, as with Patrick there’s so much more to her story.

Both Sunnie and Patrick are both beautifully broken individuals, fighting demons in their own ways, they’re brought together during one the darkest moments in their lives and quickly find solace in one another, they know that with both being addicts any relationship they have can't go any further than friendship however as that friendship grows they find themselves unable to fight their feelings and give into temptation, but will this unconventional couple make their way out of rehab unscathed and in one piece? Or are they doomed before they've even had a chance to really begin?

This author has proven time and after time just how talented she is, and with Pirate she has really outdone herself. For me this book has been the best one in the series.... so far, I can't recommend it enough and look forward to seeing what’s to come next.

OH MY HEART!!
From the most gut-wrenching prologue I have ever read until the very last word this emotional story grabbed my heart and soul and did not let go!!
Patrick (aka Pirate) and Sunnie (aka Sunshine) are two broken souls trying to fight off their demons through addiction. Having reached rock bottom, as these two try to overcome their addictions they find solace in each other and it's heartbreaking and beautiful to watch.
Pirate and Sunshine's story broke me and my heart. I was consumed by the darkness of their stories and the light in which they brought to each other. As stories were shared, secrets were revealed, and twists imploded, the time for revenge and retribution has finally come!!
The Ruthless Kings may be dark, violent and twisted, but with their alpha ness, quick whit, hilarious dark humour, protective nature, and ride or die brotherhood I can't get enough!!!!
Bring on Book 7 DOC!!!!

I thought I knew about Pirate but I was not at all prepared for his mental state and this book in general. We all knew he had problems, drinking to excess and screwing everything that walked but his hurt went deep. This is absolutely a gut wrenching story and I was glad to go on it with them. When Pirate gets involuntary admitted to a rehab center that’s when his life turns around and he meets Sunnie. She has her own set of demons but she really lives up to her name with her disposition and she is just what Pirate needs even when he doesn’t feel he needs it. These two connect on a much deeper level and everyone in the rehab facility doesn’t agree with two patients dating. I can’t wait for this addictive series to continue with Tongue!!

Pirate by K.L. Savage is book 6 in the Ruthless Kings MC Series. This is the story of Sunnie and Pirate. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one, but I do think you can make it a standalone book if you want to do so. Since i have read the previous books I had been wanting to get Pirate's story and this book didn't disappoint. Pirate is in rehab working to straiten is life out after living with a devastating situation that lead him to addiction. There he meets the happy Sunnie but he starts to learn that the happiness she shows is just a mask to hide her pain. I was drawn in to how they were dealing with helping each other and dealing with their past. I enjoyed their story.

This is book 6 in the Ruthless Kings MC series. Pirate was 13 when he and his younger sister Macy were taken by a stranger, a man he couldn't protect his little sister from as she took her last breath. Having been placed in rehab by the MC Pirate has time to come to terms with his life, through the withdrawals he starts to hear Macys cries after 18 years having been silenced by the drink. Sunnie has been at rehab for a month when Patrick arrives his screams stab her in the chest, she wants to know more about him. Sunnie brings the light into Pirates life but he fears he will only cover her in clouds with his darkness. But sunnie has her own darkness her father who is running for mayor, is the reason shes in rehab and when Sunnie and Pirates connection comes to light will it threaten the bond they created a bond that saved their lives and made them hope to be whole again. This is a harrowing heartbreaking story, of love and loss. You feel every emotion possible as the scenes come to life with laughter and despair. The classic KL Savage humour still shines through blasting light in this dark tale. A well written story with a great plot line, this series just gets better and better!

Returning to the World of our Ruthless Kings is always great to check in and see what our Hot alpha males have been up to, K.L. Savage brought us a little closer to Pirate and I have wondered throughout the series what his story was, Heartbreaking as it gives us more into his story.

Pirate is not your typical biker, but when you have lived a life you don't want to be in and the bottle is your only friend, is it possible to turn that life around even if you don't want it? Is it possible for Pirate to finally open his eyes and See the Rays of the Sunshine that were hidden behind his dark and gloomy days and start basking in its light?

Sunnie’s life was not her own for the longest time, running and hiding from a man who sought to use her for his advantage. But when she hears and sees a Man she deems worthy of trying to save is it possible for her to not only save herself but to bring him out of the darkness?

This book was everything I expected it to be and more. This book really tore me up and really messed with my head. All the anguish, pain and torment that Pirate had to go through. This has got to be my favorite book of all the books in the series. You’re not gonna be able to turn the pages fast enough because every word will eat away at your soul and it will still ask for more. Torment, anguish, tortured, tearjerking, sick and so, so beautiful.

OMG!!!! This was the best Ruthless book to-date!!! Pirates story killed me. I bawled for him and his sister. I mean big ugly crocodile tears. The amount of pain and guilt that he had to endure was just unfathomable. It was amazing to watch him transform into a better man with Sunnie's help and guide each other on their roads to recovery.

This book was well written and if you have ever dealt with addiction in anyway, shape or form then you will be pleasantly surprised by how well K.L. Savage wrote about the daily struggles of addiction, detox and rehab.

On a side note, Gale should totally get her own novella. Reaper has a soft spot for her, especially when he admitted that she scared him. Just sayin!

I just finished listening to the audiobook and I wish I was given a warning before listening.
This story contain violence, addiction, abuse of the worst kind.
I shed a few tears.
This is a strong story, and sadly reality for so many out there.
I loved how the characters grew and found support in each other

Oh wow. This book had me in tears. It was a great read though. The hero went through something unbelievably traumatic, not to mention the heroine. I really liked the way their relationship blossomed, and the way they were able to help each other out. I really enjoyed this book.
