Saint: A Sexy MC Romance (Knights of Fury Book 1) Kindle Edition
Dear Skylar,
Five years. That’s a long time to go without talking to somebody, especially someone who was such a huge part of your life…
A letter from my first kiss and my childhood everything…from prison.
He may be nicknamed Saint, but this sweet, sexy biker most definitely has a wild streak. Hearing from him draws me right back into the Knights of Fury motorcycle club—the people I’ll always think of as family.
He’s still the only man I’ve ever wanted.
Each good, old-fashioned letter from my “prison pen pal” has my heart racing. Which is nothing compared to how I feel when Saint surprises me in person, as a free man.
I was just a kid the last time we saw each other, but the connection between us now is anything but innocent.
He’s the type of man who would do anything to protect his woman. And with my world crashing down around me, that’s exactly what I’m going to need.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2021This was book 1 in the "Knights of Fury" series. This was a really good read and audio as I listened and read this at the same time. This book cover is also hot. Skylar O'Connor was raised in the MC her mother was the president's old lady. Skylar has had a crush on Saint since he was a prospect for the club. Hammer the president has always been her father he raised her. When she is sixteen years old her parents break up and she is dragged away from the club. Skylar has a love hate relationship with her mother and I hated her she was a mean evil woman. Five years later she gets a letter from Saint who is in prison all her feelings and questions come up. When she leaves and goes back to the club to get some answers she is not a little girl anymore and when she sees Saint all her feelings comeback. This was a good book her mother was a piece of work she hated and was jealous of her own daughter. Skylar also reconnected with her brothers. When she finds out what her mother did she is hurt and heartbroken that no one told her. This book also had some sadness in it. This book also had some hot sexy times. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I also liked the narration in it. I am looking forward to reading and listening to the next book in this series.

SAINT was my first experience with Ms. Fernando's writing which I liked, but definitely wasn't perfect. For example, the book should have really been called "Skylar" because that's the only POV the readers are given. That was the first and biggest mistake I think the author made in its overall execution, as it kept Saint himself from being truly fleshed out. It was also rather mild for an MC romance and although there are a couple of sexy love scenes, they weren't long or overly explicit. We're never really shown the "ins and outs" of club life either, not until the very end.
Still, I loved nearly all of characters, most especially Hammer (Sky's dad) and even Saint. Sky's mom on the other hand was a real piece of work and could win the award for worst mom ever. There were quite a few twists and turns too, and the story flowed well and constantly kept me entertained. I have to admit that I wasn't happy with the fate of a couple of the characters though, which kind of ticked me off. One scene actually brought me to tears however, which is not an easy thing to do and ultimately the reason I went with four stars instead of just three.
In the end I walked away from this tale with a heartfelt reminder of what true love, forgiveness, and family are really about. And that your "family" may not always be blood related, but the bond stronger and purer because of this. I liked the author's writing enough to give more of her work a try sometime in the near future too. I just hope the next one I read has dual POV perspectives, as that was a major mis-step for me in this particular book. Overall it was a pretty good read though that had an epic romance, humor, drama, as well as some action and suspense.
Ages: Skylar (21) Saint (26)
Pages & Kindle Locations: The story itself contained 196 pages and ended at 95% and location 2966.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2019This is a brand new series by this author, and I was beyond excited to begin. I mean, really? Who can get enough MC romance?!? Not me, that's for sure! And I've read MC romance by this author before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So I was absolutely sure that this series was going to follow along the lines of the other series, with hot alpha male bikers, and exciting story lines. Boy, did I underestimate this book! Yes, the alpha bikers and crazy circumstances were all there, but there was also that insta-love element that I absolutely adore, and Saint is a whole different breed of biker. This story has gone to the top of my favorites by this author!
Skylar is one of the women who seem to always come out on top. No matter how bad life gets, she persists until things work out. After a childhood filled with an unknown father, a crazy inattentive mother, and brothers that aren't really in her life, things go from bad to worse. She looses the only bright spot in her life, her loving step-father and the MC that has always supported her. In the process, she is moved away from the only family she has ever known, including her teenage crush, Saint.
Saint is one of those guys. You know what I'm talking about. An alpha male biker who knows what he wants, and does whatever it takes to get it. He lives life to the fullest, loyal to his biker brothers. He also always has Skylar in the back of his mind, as the one that got away.
This book was emotional, and exciting, and had everything I look for in an MC romance. I enjoyed the lasting connection between Saint and Skyler, that wasn't even lessened by time, distance or interfering crazy folks. I couldn't help but fall in love with this couple, and I'm sure any other readers will feel the same way!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2023Skylar has been the princess of the MC since she was little. The step daughter of the President. She has also been in love with saint since she knew what love is. When events break up her Mom and Step Dad, Skylar is forced to leave the only family she knows. That is until she realizes her Mom lied and finds her way back to the MC, her Dad, and the love of her life.
This was a pretty good book, there were some things I wish were expanded more but overall pretty good read.

I loved this story. It has a sad side, but the good outweighs the sad part. Gonna read the rest too. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
I was pulled into this book right from the get go. That's where I stayed until I had finished every single word that was written. I also had my mini movie playing along in my head.
There are twists, turns and surprises throughout the pages of this book. Some of the surprises you may not see coming while others you will. Some of them are large while others are small. Some may even pull on your heartstrings and some might just hit you square in the face. But each and everyone of them hold equal importance within the story.
Emotions are rife all the way through the book. I actually went through what the characters went through along with them.
I highly recommend Chantal Fernando as an author and each and every book she has written.
This book is also on audible which for me is a win win.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good biker romance!
A page turner! No doubt! Very few writers know how to make a narrative so vivid that the reader can picture it as if it's a movie rolling. I just thought some parts could be longer or more explored, such as their flirting moments, while they were gravitating around their new feelings to each other.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Passionate MC Romance
Saint is the first book in the Knights of Fury series and as a huge lover of MC romances I was so looking forward to this new series. Saint and Skylar have had a connection since she was a young girl and when her world with the Knights was ripped away, all ties were severed. Five years later and an old fashioned pen to paper letter arrives and the connection of old feelings and new is brought to life. As Skylar seeks answers to the breakdown of her "family" and her young girl crush starts to become a reality, chaos and drama rain down on her. This first book in the series lacks grit but makes up for it in heart. As countless secrets and lies are revealed it will take every bit of inner strength she can summon to fight for her family. These two heat up the pages, frustrate you at times but leave you wanting more of the Knights of Fury.
