Until Beckett Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 125 ratings

My world shattered at the loss of my wife. In the matter of minutes, I was a widower and a single father.

In the midst of my heartache, Beckett moved in to help me with my daughter. If it wasn’t for him, I’d have succumbed to my grief.

He was there to help me through it all, being the support I needed.

One surprise kiss changes everything.

It sends me running, trying to escape the overwhelming confusion. Not only about my feelings but with my sexuality.

I’d never thought of Beckett as anything other than my best friend.

Running away was never the answer. It didn’t help me understand what happened, all it did was make things worse.

But Beckett isn’t a man to let things lie. He chases after me, determined to face the feelings we both have.

I never thought I’d find love again. I didn’t think happiness was on the cards for me…Until Beckett.

Until Beckett was a great read. Clay wife Isabella dies, leaving him with a premature baby. Poor Clay struggles along dealing with his loss and sudden single dad status when in steps his best friend Beckett to help out. Beckett and Clays feelings begin to grow into more than just friendship. Clay and Beckett are friends with the 1st generation Maysons, especially November and Asher. They all make an appearance which I love.
    Great Boom story. 💜

Wowsa, this book is absolutely fantastic and compelling and heartbreaking and so much more. Corey lost his wife and is grieving with his best friend Beckett by his side ,but when lines get crossed, will he run away from it and lose his best friend, too? This book will definitely have you connect with the characters' heartbreak and pain and feel like you are a part of the story. I absolutely loved seeing all the masons again

A very touching, sad tale as a man struggles with the very sudden death of his pregnant wife and the premature birth of his fragile baby, if not for his good friend he wouldn't be able to cope. Beckett has no hesitation to move in and take over as Corey is slowly falling apart. A beautiful but sad story of how precious friends are.

For such a short book (just over 100 pages) this sure did pack a punch. Corey was struggling with grief from losing his wife, as well as dealing with everything that comes with having a newborn daughter. The only thing that’s keeping him afloat is his best friend Beckett, but his feelings towards his best friend are starting to change.

This was a good quick read, I thought the author portrayed the feeling of grief and helplessness well from Corey’s character. The dead ex isn’t my favourite trope, but this one was done quite well. It was also really good to see Asher and November make an appearance.

Overall a good bi awakening, friends to lover’s story.

Ok. Let me first say that Corey and Beckett’s love leapt off the pages. You could feel how much they loved each other, just as you felt Corey’s heartbreak over the loss of Isabella.

What was confusing for me was the sudden discovery of Corey’s romantic feelings toward Beckett. Like…had he always been bisexual and hidden it? For me, not understanding when Corey really realized he was bisexual made a part of the story far fetched, especially their first encounter. Also, why not say what happened to Isabella? Not sure why not knowing what happened to her was important to me, but it was. I felt these minor details being omitted kept the story from being truly great.
