A very touching, sad tale as a man struggles with the very sudden death of his pregnant wife and the premature birth of his fragile baby, if not for his good friend he wouldn't be able to cope. Beckett has no hesitation to move in and take over as Corey is slowly falling apart. A beautiful but sad story of how precious friends are.

This book was a true emotional rollercoaster! The authenticity of Corey’s grief and his struggles as a new dad were really well written. Beckett was one of those unicorn characters that really touch your heart, especially when you realize that he had been harboring feelings for a long time but would have never said anything because his friend was happily married. Aside from being the world’s best friend, he was just swoon worthy in how understanding he was. Together, they brought a good blend of sweet and spicy. It was also cool to see some of the North Avenue Live guys as well as Asher and November! I started the book in tears with Corey, spent time rooting for them, and finished the book satisfied by the great epilogue! It was really well-rounded for a novella.

He was lost and felt incredibly alone, no matter how many people told him they were here for him. He did not know how he was going to cope looking after his newborn daughter all by himself without getting anything wrong.
He felt like a failure.
However, his best friend Beckett has stepped in to stay and help Corey through the hard times...hard times including his toned body has he walks around shirtless, stiring up feelings in Corey he never knew he had.
How will their relationship change if someone made the next move on their rising feelings?
A nice novella packed with an emotional rollercoaster of what the characters are going through. Loss of a loved one, raising a newborn - that's just all noise and bodily fluid and terrible amounts of sleep, trying to manage a house, and dealing with developing feelings for a man you see as your best friend. That can be awkward. Doesn't help when they are hot and shirtless.
Poor Corey is conflicted and in doubt so much. Beckett being his rock was wonderful, but with the changing feelings so recent to losing his wife, it was understandable to see him start to struggle even further. Even Beckett with his feelings towards Corey has you seeing how strong a man he is.
Steamy sense. Small wholesome sense. Acceptance and finding happiness again.

Oh! Man! The grief in this story is heartbreaking. Corey is a loving husband whose wife is pregnant with their first baby. He is working hard to save money and be ready for the baby. Fate has other ideas and compications with the baby lead to Corey's wife passing away. He is understandably distraught and goes into a downward spiral. His little girl is a fighter and though she is two months early she is making great progress. Corey knows he needs to be there for her but he is completely locked in his grief and is terrified he will lose her, too.
Beckett is Corey's best friend. He steps in and helps Corey with everything. Corey seems incapable of doing even the smallest of tasks and leans very heavily on Beckett. So much so that when Beckett offers to move in and help more, Corey jumps at the offer. Beckett has always been in love with Corey but knew that he was off limits as a straight married man. And he has been in love with his best for a long time. Corey took some time to get his feelings and thoughts straight. And where did he go, to my favorite couple Asher and November 😊 Love that the Mayson’s were a safe haven for him and no judgements... Cute, adorable story 😊

He didn't think he could survive. But he had what really was a best friend. Beckett was right next to him. All The Way! All the mistakes and the learning curves with the baby he breezed through while Corey wasn't sure he'd make it through the daddy part let alone the grieving.
It seemed life had more changes in store for him. He knew there would never be another woman for him, but could there really be love?

Corey's love Isabelle died giving birth to their baby girl, understandably Corey is a hot mess and not to mention a new father, so his best friend Beckett steps up and decides to move in to help Corey out. When a moment between the two changes everything Corey has to figure out just what it means for their future and if he lost his best friend in the process.
I was so excited for this story, the whole gay for you, single dad, best friend thing sucked me in. I feel like maybe I read something different from everyone else as this did not blow me away. I loved the plot but the actual story was so fast paced and choppy that I was missing the chemistry that I should have been feeling. In the end this was just an ok story and I give it 3.5 stars.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this one. I struggled to connect with the story in the beginning. How did these two become friends? How did they interact before? Their interactions in the beginning seemed stilted and I was confused.
I love Corey & Beckett in the last half of the story when they're admitting their feelings for one another & communicating & working out how to be a family, tho. It sort of felt like two different stories, maybe? Not sure how to explain. I felt more connected to them during the last few chapters, tho. And I adore how they are with each other and Mila and their circle.
Anyway, this was an overall sweet read about healing & falling in love. 😊

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Corey & Becket. Corey and his wife were excited to finally have their first child. Then the unthinkable happened she died during childbirth. Corey doesn't know how to take care of himself let alone a little girl. That is when his best friend Beckett steps in. Beckett knows that Corey needs to start standing on his own 2 feet but he can't leave him or Mila alone. He knows that he can only have so much with his best friend but wishes it was more. Can they find a HEA or will they always be left wanting?
Amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

For such a short book (just over 100 pages) this sure did pack a punch. Corey was struggling with grief from losing his wife, as well as dealing with everything that comes with having a newborn daughter. The only thing that’s keeping him afloat is his best friend Beckett, but his feelings towards his best friend are starting to change.
This was a good quick read, I thought the author portrayed the feeling of grief and helplessness well from Corey’s character. The dead ex isn’t my favourite trope, but this one was done quite well. It was also really good to see Asher and November make an appearance.
Overall a good bi awakening, friends to lover’s story.

When Beckett rushed to tell him best friend that his wife was in premature labor, he didn't know his life would change forever. Corey wife died and that was the beginning of their journey and life together. Beckett was gay, Corey was straight and here they were trying to figure out how they were going to survive the lost. Beckett moved in to help with the baby and the more time they spent together, the more Corey feelings about Beckett was slowly changing. The man who has been his best friend forever had suddenly become more this confused him, but didn't stop him from wanting him. It started with a kiss and ended with a marriage. CUTE SHORT, GREAT FAMILY!!😍😍

My Rating: I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It is a short novella and there is no extra fluff than needed. That was nice to see since sometimes, it can be intense and filled with extra information that is not needed. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I find myself wanting to read more. It is exciting to see so many wonderful characters getting their own happily ever after’s.

Corey has been through a devastating loss and for once has no clue on what to do or how to raise his beautiful princess alone. His best friend, Beckett has been in love with him since forever but chose to put aside his feelings to help Corey navigate through his loss and raise his princess.
I love the fact that we got to see the raw emotion that Corey portrayed throughout the book. We see and feel his loss. He truly believed that he wouldn’t move on or find someone to help him through it. I LOVED THIS BOOK and can’t wait for more!!

Have tissues in hand!
Wowsa, this book is absolutely fantastic and compelling and heartbreaking and so much more. Corey lost his wife and is grieving with his best friend Beckett by his side ,but when lines get crossed, will he run away from it and lose his best friend, too? This book will definitely have you connect with the characters' heartbreak and pain and feel like you are a part of the story. I absolutely loved seeing all the masons again

This is my favorite trope. Best friends to lovers. And this was a really great spin on it. Who knew one kiss could change everything in an instant? Beckett was so strong for both of them. It was so sweet. I know Corey was struggling but once he had his friends support it was beautiful. The epilogue was perfect. A beautiful novella!

Corey had to go through so much and Beckett was there through it all. The grief and journey that Corey went through was heartbreaking but in the end, it was a beautiful journey where he fell in love and had a beautiful family.

I love the friends to lovers trope and this one is done really well. This is a very emotionally packed book so have the tissues ready to go. Beckett was just the best friend anyone could ever want and he helped Corey get through one of the worst times someone could have.

Wow. I didn't know what to expect from this book until I started reading, and it had so much heartache but also lovely bits too. I couldn't put book down once started.
I loved Beckett and Corey together, they've been best friends for years. But when tragedy strikes Beckett is there for it all the way through. Beckett has always had an attraction but couldn't do anything about. They find love in each other in the end.
I can't wait for more.

Such a beautiful read about grief, second chances at life and love.

I thought Until Beckett was a well written short book. This book took us back to the Happily Ever Alpha World and the boom. This book is about grief, overcoming the grief and the tribulations and learning to love again. This book was a MM, friends to lovers, single dad book and the first book I’ve read by this author. A lot of heartfelt and emotions.Thank you to Give me books, Sophia Nix and Boom Factory for allowing me to read this story and head back over to the alpha world.
