    Alex Kingston is a Ranger who has to go to Seattle for a conference. Flynn Montgomery saunters into the Irish Pub looking to blow off a little steam. What happens there? They meet and realize there is so much more to this chance meeting. Flynn knows and runs off, Alex continues to look for her.
    Flynn and her brother Ben run an outdoor adventure company. They are hired to guide a famous photographer in looking for bears in their natural habitat. There is quite a bit more adventure on this horizon.
    I really liked this story. It was adventurous, fun, hot and sexy, and some surprise moments.

    Kodiak is a wild story about Alex, a huge, domineering alpha man who is also the leader of a clan of shifters who transform into Kodiak bears. Flynn is a free spirited and extremely intelligent wildlife/nature expert who lives life on her own terms. They have an anonymous and unexpected steamy encounter in a pub, and he identifies her as his fated mate. Before he can tell her that, his aggressive approach scares her off and she runs. For 2 years, neither of them can forget the other. Alex’ goal, his main purpose, is to find his mate again Suddenly, right in the midst of a rutting season, he encounters her on the very remote island where he lives.

    The story moves quickly. In addition to the shifting Kodiak bears, it also has nefarious doings with Komodo dragon shifters. There is a lot of sex between Alex and Flynn, most of which is really pure animal instinct. Usually, there is at best dubious consent, but that didn't bother me too much because it’s a book, after all, not real life. I couldn’t give it another star though because Alex’ character was not likeable to me at all. His twin brother was able to show emotion and be a loving husband and father, while still being a strong shifter. Why would Alex’ role as clan leader make it impossible for him to show any caring emotion? I thought the book was well-written though, and entertaining.

    I feel this writer has a kink for bare arse spanking and the dom been just that with the female always submitting..a cliche that unfortunately seems to be in if not all most of this writers books..I for one don't take a liking to every female having to submit no matter how good you butter up the writing..however to see you have "New Zealand" added to this novel as a visited destination for travel I commend you 😉 lol..
