Endurance: A Sin Series Standalone Novel (The Sin Trilogy Book 4) Kindle Edition
I’m a doctor. Mobster. Killer.
My hands are covered in filth.
I don’t have the right to touch anything as clean and pure as Ellison MacAllister.
I distance myself… always remaining obscure, composed, restrained.
Careful to never allow my eyes to linger too long.
Careful to hide my interest.
Careful to keep my burning desire buried beneath the surface.
I do it for her—suffer in silence—because it’s what is best for the woman I love.
And she has no idea.
She’ll be initiated as a Fellowship member soon. One of my mafia brothers will go through endurance so he’ll earn the right to claim her.
Make her his wife.
Kill. Me. Slowly.
I’m running out of time. Only a month remains before she’s beyond my reach forever.
I want to taste her. Share sleepless nights. Ride out her storm.
I want to give her the kind of nights she will still feel between her legs the next morning.
I want us to share the kind of passion that forms on our skin and drips down to saturate the sheets.
Between the sweat and the moans and the messy hair, I want her to know how hard she’s been loved.
To have her is to taint her.
I should stay away. But I won’t. I can’t.
I’m a selfish bastard.
A selfish bastard in love.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 November 2016This was a nice read and i think it def helps to read the sin series before this as it will make it clear how the characters relate to each other and develop. It is also easier to see and understand the world they live in and how it works. Jamie and ellison are matched really well even if it took him time to come round to it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 November 2017What a great fourth book in the series. I love Jamie and Ellison's story. I like the whole fellowship thing, it is a bit like the mafia but I like the way fellowships ways more. Cannot wait to find out what will happen in the future. Not going to give you any of the story, but it is a must read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 March 2017Loved Ellison and Jamies story can't wait to read the next spin off from this series! Well worth a read can't beat the original Sin series but loved it just the same.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 February 2017I have enjoyed the sin trilogy, but loved the secret love of Jamie and Ellison, so much fire and mystery, all while the threat of the attack from the order , waiting on the next book think westlyn story is going to be amazing
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 April 2017Another brilliant addition to the Sin series. Ellison was introduced to us as a bit of a firecracker and certainly gave Jamie a run for his money. As Doc and nurse, their chemistry was inevitable. Took Jamie a while to come to his senses but he finally got there! Looking forward to Westlyn's story. Seems more to Keiran than we have already seen. Leith and Lorna's story should be worth the wait too!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2016Oh my god, loved this book, the Macallister brand of sas back lol, great story of the love between Doc and Mac, took a while for Jamie to realize he could look after Ellie, can't wait for the next installment of these books.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Read - Loved It!
This is my first book by Georgia Cates but, by golly, it won't be the last.
I adored this book from the first deliciously-crafted word to the last. Although I haven't read the Sin Trilogy, I had no issue in picking up and understanding the plot, the world, or the characters and damn was that refreshing. A lot of times authors cite books as standalone that are building on characters introduced in other books or series and they turn out to be anything but standalone. I cite Endurance as a perfect example of how to write a spin-off book/series and not skimp on the character development. I didn't feel like I missed out on a thing by not having read the other series first and I applaud the author for the perfect execution of this story.
Jamie is the Fellowship's doctor so he largely avoids any front line action. It's an honorable role to everyone but his despicable mother and I understand his deceased father was unhappy with his life choice, too, having favored him for a leadership role. Jamie suffers under the weight of their disappointment/disapproval and subsequently doesn't feel like he is worthy of Ellison.
Ellison is crushing on Jamie big style but growing increasingly frustrated with his apparent lack of interest. When it becomes obvious that he's as into her as she is into him, she is exasperated at his unwillingness to step up and claim her. Jamie thinks he's doing the right thing because he believes one of his brothers can protect her better, even though the thought of anyone else claiming her is killing him. Ellison thinks he's being downright pig-headed and sets out to change his mind.
I loved both main characters and could relate to their perspectives. They were perfect together! A fantastic team - both personally and professionally. I really wanted to knock some sense into Jamie but I had faith that Ellison could pull it off successfully. Their chemistry was scorching hot and I was so rooting for this couple.
I loved Georgia's writing style and the pace was perfect - it was never overly described and there was no filler and no tendency to skim. It clipped along at a nice steady pace.
The plot was a little on the flimsy side at times but that didn't matter as the relationship was the main focus point and that was pure perfection on a page.
I enjoyed the world building and I'm definitely intrigued to know more. I also enjoyed the secondary characters.
All in all, this was a really great read and I look forward to reading more in this world in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 freaking "I don't want it to be over yet" stars
This book is so OMG I don't want it to end... seriously guys. You all know the feeling like yeah there has to be more. I was like crying baby who wants more. I must admit I loved every sentence, every syllable and every letter.
The way this book is written is story on its own and also extention of Sin and Bleu's story. You get all the characters you already met in Sin trilogy ( well except the ones who died ;) )
Jamie Breckenridge the hot as hell doc can't decide what's the best for him and his love. He doesn't feel like he can protect his love enough and is prepared to let her go into another man's arms only to keep her protected from The Order.
Ellison MacAllister haven't wanted anything more than Jamie since she left the US soil. She is prepared to fight for her love and show him she's worth everything. Can she convince him to become his? Can he see that there isn't another way to be with the woman he wants and loves more than anything only to claim her?

4.0 out of 5 stars Georgia Cates does it again!
Georgia Cates has blessed us once again with a visit to Scotland as we peek in on the lives of the brothers of crime syndicate, the Fellowship, in her latest novel Endurance.
Before I get into the details of this book, if you have never heard of this series, feel free to read the previous books or check out my reviews here. You don’t have to read the first three books in order to follow along but I strongly suggest it. It helps you understand who the Fellowship is, what they stand for, and the trouble they have brewing.
Sin and Bleu spoiled me in the previous books. The trilogy was everything I could ask for and more. You all know how much I love a romantic suspense novel. Whenever The Sin Series is brought up, I think sensual, sexy, dangerous, fire and brimstone type stories.
Read on at your own risk.
Like the title of this book, Endurance, is definitely the theme of this novel.
Ellison is Bleu’s sister, a former nurse who moved to Scotland to be with Bleu and her children. She’s not a part of the Fellowship but has chosen to become apart in order to stay with family.
Jamie is the Fellowship’s doctor and Sin’s cousin. He’s not on the ground like the other men and even though he is hopelessly in love with Ellison, doesn’t feel like he can properly protect her. That is a crock of shit to be honest, but whatever.
Jamie had these grand illusions of what he couldn’t give her and Ellison was initially too damn shy to say how much she wanted him.
To get closer to Ellison before he has to “officially” let her go, so to speak, he came up with an idea that needs Ellison’s nursing skills and had the two of them living together. Bless Sin’s heart for allowing this to happen, by the way. As we all could have guessed, things quickly heated up and these two realized that they couldn’t be apart.
While the romance was central to the story, we were made privy to Fellowship business as the war between them and The Order continued. Without giving too much away regarding that, things escalate and Ellison and Jamie’s sister, Westlyn, are affected. The world of the Fellowship got a lot more real for Ellison than I think she was prepared for at that particular time.
I must say that the Fellowship business took precedence over the romance storyline for me. Jamie and Ellison lacked a really good storyline, in my opinion. It needed a bit more ummph. Yes, he thought he couldn’t protect her but what else? He stepped up pretty quickly when her life was at risk.
Endurance was quite entertaining and filled with lots of grit and eroticism that readers who are familiar with this series have come to expect. These Scottish men are passionate, arrogant as all hell but as protective and loving as you would want.
I liked the secondary characters in this book a lot and am patiently waiting for the following stories: Westlyn and Kieran, Lorna and Leith, and if we’re lucky, Mitch and Shaw!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unputdownable!
Another addicting book in the Sin series! Loved, loved, LOVED it!!
Jamie & Ellison were such great match. Every interaction between them was entertaining to watch; the barbs, the glances, the doctor/nurse stuff, the horizontal mambo... They just felt so natural & right together.
Jamie... "Doc" was pretty dreamy, even if I wanted to junk punch him a time or two. So protective, strong, determined & dominant in the bedroom... *le sigh* His attempts to push Ellison away but still keep her close at the same time gave me whiplash. I was thrilled to bits when Leith called him out that! P.S. Really wish his "upsuck" theory would've panned out for him & Ellison!
Ellison... I admired her backbone, her enthusiasm, her ability to handle sticky situations & the way she loved her family. Extremely happy that she never got confirmation on Jamie's past with Lorna. I am so tired of yet another heroine who wants to know about it. Bury that sexual history crap. Forever.
So, that marriage treaty at the end... Gah! Can't wait to find out what did happen & what's gonna happen between Kieran & Westlyn!! One-clicking their book, Unintended, as soon as I finish this review. :)
Side Note: Where was my epilogue? I wanted vows, babies & the last words in the book to be about Jamie & Ellison since it was their story!

5.0 out of 5 stars worth a read
One of the best spin off standalone stories I have read to date. I was sad when Bleu and Sin’s story ended, but this story not only continues that story in the background, it gives a new perspective with a different pair that was already close to our hearts from the original. Loved every bit of it!
