Once upon a time, I believed in fairy tales. I thought he was my Prince Charming, even though Grayson was tall, brooding, and from the wrong side of the tracks... At fifteen, he swept me off my feet. At twenty, he shattered my heart.
When I finally dried my tears, I became a new person. Hardened. Untouchable. Impenetrable.
Until one day, like magic, Grayson reappears. All my old scars start to ache. He’s different, too: haunted. Brooding. Damaged. We’re both scarred by our past and yearning to escape our present.
He protests my presence even as he kisses me under the starry sky, but it’s no use. I’m not falling for that again - not for his glances that make me weak in the knees, not for his smoldering touches that make me tingle with desire. He’ll just disappear again, leaving me broken and alone. That’s why I have to guard my heart - and never, ever fall for Grayson again.
Even though he’s wildly tempting. I can’t forget the way his touch felt, the heat of his lips against my skin. And I know what we could be together… if he doesn’t shatter my heart again. Grayson and I are star crossed. Our lives are chartered for two separate courses. And yet even the stars fall sometimes...
This is a standalone romance full of heated glances and second chances.
My first read by this author and definetely not my last!
I truly loved this story about Grayson and Rachel. I had wished some of the separation had been talked about more thoroughly though.....a lot of their time apart was glossed over and then the story was taken over with the family hijinks.
The sex was super HOT, the chemistry was amazing, I could seriously "feel" the love they had for each other jumping off of my kindle for sure.
All in all a really great story that for me could have scored perfectly if not for some storyline issues that weren't addressed to my liking but hey, that's me...
I will definitely be reading about Aiden and Olivia next and please, please let me get more of Grayson and Rachel too, wink, wink!

Kiss Me Again by Vivian Wood is the story of Rachel and Gray. Rachel and Gray were once close even though they were from separate stands in life. But they lost contact a few years ago. Now in their present day Rachel who has a very overbearing family along with find a cheating future husband. Needing to get a way from it all she goes forward to do a dream job in Seattle. This lands her right in front of Gray where the sparks between them are brighter than ever. Gray has tried to keep his distance from Rachel but each day it has gotten harder to do so and now it just impossible. Loved their story...hope to read more from this author soon.
This book should have come with trigger warnings in my humble opinion. Their is talks of Suicide ideation, the hero is an army veteran so we see a violent mention of an army ambush, PTSD, panic/anxiety attacks.
This book started off so good and sad I love books about lovers to enemies. They are always filled with Loads Of longing and angst. Towards the end their was moments I was bored like the storyline felt a bit flat. I was also suffering from a tooth ache while reading the second half of the book so I'm sure that had something to do with it.. overall a decent read. The hero really shreds you in this book. 💔💔💔😪😪😪

First of all, I'm so confused by the posting of this book. It auto populated for me while reading on the Kindle but the description is not correct at all. From reading the reviews, I read Kiss Me Again which appears to be lumped into this or maybe the title changed.
I liked the characters in this story and I appreciated that the author touched on PTSD and how it can affect people and their relationships. However, I just did not enjoy the writing. I could not wait to get to the end of the story. I think that the author is just not for me as I rated another book of hers as a 2 star.
Rachel runs to escape her cheating ex and controlling parents. Grayson is running to reclaim himself and escape his demons. What neither expects is to run into each other.
Oh the feels!! I loved this book! I was so immersed I dreamt about being in lush verdant forests with a hot ranger.
Rachel has a fragile armor but underneath it she is so much stronger than she realizes. Grayson is fragile but Rachel helps him rediscover his own strength. Such a good second chance romance. Love, love, love!!
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Oooh, how I love a broken hero. And a first love story. And the rich girl/guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Kiss Me Again has ALL my favorite tropes!!
This is a heart-wrenching story about a man with PTSD and the emotional reverberations everyone who cares about him feels. I just loved Grayson and all the details about the ways he tries to move beyond what happened in the Navy five years ago, and I loved following his and Rachel's path to their happily ever after.
It was second chance but they never delved into what happened and the hurt she felt. They talked about what happened to him but not how it effected her.
Kiss me again has got to be one of my favorite second chance love romances , why is this the first book that I'm reading by Vivian Wood I need more by her in my kindle stat ! I can't wait to see more of these characters in the next story with a little tease of whats going to happen with the heroes sister and best friend . Once I started this book I was hooked everything about this story drew me in the only thing I wish there was would be more scenes of the couples past but overall this was a good story with characters that had me wanting more . Rachel and Graysons had off the charts chemistry everything about them was intense and oh my gods can we talk about how HOT the sex scenes were I mean scorching people ( can I have a Grayson please ) . In the beginning Rachel is hard she really doesn't let any one in it's understandable my heart really hurt for this girl , oh my Grayson everything about this man is just WOW he is BIG everywhere just saying (wink wink) talk about heartache That man has been through so much while also giving up so much . I love the fact that we get both point of views just to see were their heads were and what they are thinking . So can't wait to read more by this author my kindle needs to be filled with her books . I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book **************************************** hero=10 heroine=10 secondary characters= 10 Chemistry=10 steam=9 romance=7 humor=4 darkness level=4 action=3 mystery=4 enjoyment=10 angst=4 story line=10 Story ending=10 character development=10 pacing= 10 cover=10 Blurb =10 Stars =5 Is this part of a series =yes Can it be read as a standalone = yes would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
This is one of my favorite books by Vivian Wood. It was full of so many emotions and was written perfectly. Rachel and Grayson had so much working against them in the beginning and there second chance was much needed because after all the sadness the only balm they needed to soothe what was broken was each other!
I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book
Rachel and Graysons story is one that will have you full of emotion! The story starts off with an appalling shock and leads into an even more gut wrenching tale of lost love and how to find forgiveness! Their story isn’t easy but it’s beautiful! Through all the pain and all the heartbreak the hope that love leaves you with keeps you reading and wanting more! I found myself absolutely speechless during times of this story because there is no way to describe how you feel you have to just experience it!
Rachel and Grayson are two people who come from completely opposite backgrounds but when they are together nothing else exists but them! Rachel May seem to have it all but the one thing she wants most she lacks completely until she meets Grayson! Grayson works his butt off to achieve a better life but no matter what to some it’ll never be enough! He wants better for himself and his family but he never counted on meeting a girl who change everything!
The 4 (really more a 3.5) rating is my personal rating of this book compared to other books that I have read recently. Overall I liked Kiss Me Again. It was a quick read and ends in a HEA. No cliffhanger and gives a little bit into the next book which will be about Olivia and Aiden (Grayson's sister and best friend). This book was just okay to me. I liked the characters but didn't really feel drawn to Grayson or Rachel. A lot of attention was spent building up the story but kind of like a roller coaster that builds up and builds up. The one just speeds down to a sudden ending. I felt that the ending was rushed and some twists involving Rachel's family and Civicore were added to bring a little more excitement to the story but I don't feel that they really added or do anything for the story but give it a place to finish in a HEA. I did appreciate the flashback chapters to understand a little about their history and how they are both such different people now and what events led to this.
I appreciate a book with character development and building of a story line. In Kiss Me Again, a lot of the character development was on Grayson and how he is coming through his PTSD. His experience in Iraq and losing close friends really played a number on his mind. When he returned to the US, he no longer felt that he was worthy of Rachel and dealing with his mental state took a long time and still he fights nightmares, crowd anxiety, and other PTSD effects. He has taken a position as a Park Ranger to be outside in the wilderness, away from crowds of people and anxiety-inducing noise. Rachel comes across as naive and shallow, I mean come on for a summer internship where she will be hiking and backpacking through the National Park to collect water samples, she arrives at the base camp in a silk blouse, skirt, and heels. She spends a ton of money on "camping" outfits from Patagonia and brand new hiking boots and feels that she will need a full collection of makeup (including bronzer, highlight, and false eyelashes) in case there is an "emergency" in the woods?
I won this book and Dirty Little Secret in a Facebook giveaway. Although this isn’t the one I wanted, I chose to start with it.
It was good. Not great, but I didn’t hate it. After her boyfriend cheats on her, Rachel runs away to do another job in Seattle. Here she bumps into her ex Grayson who ran away from her years ago with no notice or explanation. He’s placed as her guide so they are stuck together. Sparks fly, apologies occur, and love re-blooms. Nothing special and standard for this book. I was a bit bored reading it. The writing wasn’t bad; it flowed well, but I found it could also be cleaned up a bit more.
I will move onto Dirty Little Secret as well and I am hoping I will enjoy that one more.
3 Stars Review by Sasha Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Kiss me Again by Vivian Wood is the story of a rich girl and poor boy who meet and fall in love. It is a classic story that has been romance readers bread and butter.
Rachel Black comes from uptown, New York where her life has been planned out for her to the very last minute detail. It was never a life where she fit in until she meets Greyson, the cute boy who is deemed to be wrong for her.
Their love is instant and intense. They believe they can handle anything the world has to throw at them until Greyson gets shipped out with the Navy. Becoming a SEAL is his way out of the crap hand life dealt him. When caught in an accident that leaves him physically and emotionally damaged, Greyson retreats from everyone close to him.
Flash forward 5 years… Greyson and Rachel find each other again in a place where neither would expect to find the other.
This books dragged along for me. I found the writing to be lackluster and nothing grabbed me from the beginning. The character’s storylines and the dynamic between the two of them tended to emotionally charged dialogue, but it came across as flat. It didn’t feel as if there was a strong voice throughout the novel. All the characters generally spoke in the same dialect and tone.
The whole story began to pick up a little bit more than halfway through the novel. Once more problems were introduced, I became a bit more invested but still felt that there could’ve been more to it. The flashback chapters were also something that I feel could be reworked. They came at points where they were passed their relevance and didn’t provide the needed insight they are meant to. The characters had already told their perspective of the story at another point, so most of the flashbacks didn’t reveal any additional information.
I wanted the book to be more dynamic. For lovers who haven’t seen each other in five years, I expected the dialogue to be more hostile and emotions to be at an all-time high. The plot didn’t move well to keep the reader engaged until far too late into the story. The steamy parts of the book did make up for some of the slow parts of the novel, and will bring a blush to any reader’s face.

Kiss me Again by Vivian Wood “Second chances, 4 stars”
I got into the heartbreaking story Kiss me Again. I wanted these two who once fell in love as you adults to get their HEA. And the best part is they didn’t see each other coming. My heart broke for Grayson and the heck he went through. I hated what Rachel had become to get over the loss of Grayson. But the best part is they got back together. Rachel is a product of her environment, but she wasn’t always. There was a time where she didn’t care about appearances. Then her world shifted, well its shifting again and a ghost from her past is coming back. She has tons of questions but do any of them really matter? Will she get out from under her family’s thumbs? Will she get Gray back? Only one way to find out. I liked the dynamic between Gray and Rachel. They balanced each other quite well. I liked the healing they both accomplished together in the national park. What dropped it from a 5 star to a 4 for me is something completely trivial but I couldn’t ignore it. I felt like someone with Rachels degree especially to the extent she did that she would have been more comfortable outdoors. She made a lot of rookie mistakes when it came to say packing her bag, her boots, that I found unbelievable for someone with her education. But at the same time, it fit with where she was from and the type of family she was raised in. it was really a catch 22. Either way Kiss me Again is a solid story I think most would enjoy. Plot-4/5 Characters-4/5 Heat-4/5 Writing style-4/5 Overall-4/5
At one time, Rachel & Grayson believed that nothing could come between them, but life happened in the military for Grayson, who ended up breaking her heart. Now years later, Rachel believed that she had moved on, picked the least most bad boy she could find to marry to make her parents happy, but when she catches him cheating, she's done with doing things for her family. She's found a summer job on the other side of the country to have some peace, but unfortunately, peace isn't in the cards for her. See, she found the one place that Grayson works at, so now she's having to face her past while trying to keep her present from overtaking her. Grayson suffers from serious PTSD, so works better when all alone, however, Rachel becomes his summer assignment. And they end up having to spend a lot of time together alone on the trails as she takes water samples. So can they work together amicably without tearing off the scab of their past?! And will Rachel's controlling family let her have this time to regroup?! These are just a few of the questions answered after reading this emotional second chance at love. Obviously, these two never lost their chemistry, but there's so much else that is against them, so the twists are f-bomb dropping worthy. Vivian Wood is a new to me author, and I very much enjoyed this story, but the ending was just a bit rushed for me after all the emotional moments. Anyway, I will be reading more of her work in the future, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
This book was so much more than a second chance romance. It's also about tough discussions, personal sacrifice, and dealing with the consequences of life after service. Grayson was such a complex character. Rachael is a woman who he left five years ago. Grayson was going through a rough time after returning from service as a Navy SEAL and because of what he is going through he feels ashamed and unworthy to remain by Rachel's side. Rachael has tried to pick up the pieces of her life and thinks she has finally done that until one fateful afternoon when her world comes crashing down. She has an opportunity to work in the field she has always wanted to and picks a location as far away from her controlling parents and her cheating ex. When she gets to her new job she runs into the last man she expects to run into. Grayson! He also is in shock, he never thought he would see her again. The two must learn to work together now and both realize that the feelings they have for one another are still there. They both learn to listen and help one another. They find a way to forgive what has happened and find a way back to one another. There is also the element of Rachael's father and the way he still wants to control her and force her to return home and do as he feels she is obligated to. Grayson proves to be very protective of Rachael and wants her to stay with him. They love they once had has returned and only gotten stronger as adults. They know what they want. This is a very well written story with a wonderful HEA!
💥 💥💥 Sensitive and sexy second chance romance. 💥 💥💥
Grayson and Rachel are one of my favourite couples. They’ve both struggled with their parents and turned out amazingly strong in spite of them, even if their family financial backgrounds are complete opposites of the financial spectrum.
Together, they were everything, until they weren’t, and it was heart-breaking to see how Rachel coped with her grief, betrayal and anger. She couldn’t possibly understand what Grayson had suffered, and I admire Ms Wood’s writing of his ordeal and achingly slow recovery. There is a lot of healing to be done between, and for each of them, and I loved way they re-discovered each other during some not only sensitive discussion, but during some pretty hot moments in that national park!
This book has bought together my favourite facets in a romance. Second chances, military and dual POV, and the setting of our couples book was absolutely fantastic. I don’t know much about Rachel’s career of choice, but I loved the aspects of her job and tie in what I know about the job after speaking with our company’s environmental adviser.
I can honestly say that I always enjoy Vivian Wood’s books, and she is one of my must-click authors. While I can’t pin-point exactly why it’s not a higher rating for me, I still absolutely recommend this book as a great read. It is also the first standalone book in a series, and I’m looking forward to our next couple’s story. 4 Stars.
Kiss Me Again - a captivating, emotional, second chance romance from Vivian Wood.
For the last five years, Rachel Black has been living her life on autopilot. Living the life her parents want for her but it's not necessarily the life she wants for herself. When the opportunity arises for her to get away and do something she wants, she jumps at the chance. For the last five years Grayson Sellwood has been barely surviving. After a traumatic experience which led to a medical discharge, his Navy career ended. He left everyone behind and started again in a job that wasn't so demanding, a job where it's okay be alone. Rachel's summer job puts her in Grayson's world. How will she react to seeing the man who left her and broke her heart? How will he feel about seeing the girl he's thought about every day? A summer of them working together, will they be able to do it? Be in each others lives with all those feelings still there. All those questions that need answered. Rachel is still hurting and Grayson is still healing, can they help each other? It's a summer neither one of them will forget - for the right or wrongs reason, read their story to find out.
I loved reading every word of Kiss Me Again, even though some were heartbreaking. The storyline was gripping and had me hurting for the love they lost and then had me rooting for them to find that love again. Altogether a brilliant read, that I really enjoyed.
Rachel and Grayson were a couple back in high school. She was the rich girl and he was the poor boy from the wrong side of town. They meet and fall in love. Even though she is raised in a wealthy family she is very kind and doesn't care that Gray is poor. She loves him for who he is. Years later these two meet up again and not exactly on the best of terms.
My heart broke for Grayson. To have to live with that type of guilt is unimaginable to me. There were so many times in this in story I just wanted to reach through the book and give him a hug. I kept telling Rachel to not give up on him even though he is running hot and cold with her.
Rachel is a very strong woman. When Grayson left, she turned to the one person who should have supported her but yet her mother wasn't a good person. Rachel decided that she needs something of her own and after a awful discovery she decides to strike out on her own.
Reading about these two going round and round was both extremely hot but yet frustrating. They were both hurt and also hurting and they were letting it fester for too long. My favorite parts of this book other than the sexy times was when the tension would get so great and they would stop and yell at each other. Not that I'm a fan of yelling, but it was the one time they were open and honest with each other.
Kiss Me Again by Vivian Wood is an exceptional read about a second chance romance story filled with emotion, heartbreak and love. The characters and storyline was well thoughout as you follow Grayson and Rachel's past history and what happens when they are reunited 5 years later having to work with each other if they can only overcome their stubborness. They will find that through all of the hurt, loss, guilt and betrayals they both had to endure, the passion and chemistry between these two was explosive and intense from the start. Now with all of the time they are spending together will they be able to help each other heal and get back what they lost? Grayson is trying to overcome his demons that still haunt him and has alot of issues that has left him broken, will he be able to tell Rachel the truth?. Rachel is trying to deal with her past as well as a cheating ex and overbearing parents. Rachel will soon discover that she is becoming stronger and she just might be able to help Grayson get back the strength he needs to deal with his past. Will these two lost individuals have a chance at love and will they overcome the obstacles that are coming their way? This is a fast paced, sexy gripping romance story about getting a second chance at love and is a must read!! I can't wait for the next story! I voluntairly reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Kiss Me Again was a fun second chance romance filled with heartbreak and steamy passion.
Grayson vanished from Rachel’s life five years ago while in the Navy. Fearing the worst, she eventually moved on becoming the powerhouse her parents always wanted. But was she living the life she wants? The day she walked in on her fiancé in a compromising position changed her. Can she look the other way like her parents suggest? Does she want what her current future holds?
Deciding to get away, she takes a job she was offered on the other side of the country; getting lost in the woods sounds like just the thing to clear her head. Until she sees him…
Grayson.
He is very much alive and her guide for the summer. She was running from one nightmare right into another. Has he been there the whole time? Was he avoiding her or did something happen? Will Grayson be able to provide the answers Rachel so desperately seeks?
Living off the land for weeks at a time puts them both to the test. What happens when old feelings resurface – will they be mutual or one sided? Can the love they once shared continue to grow?
At some point in their life everyone wants a do-over. Luckily Grayson and Rachel get that chance. Kiss me again will make your heart swoon.
Kiss Me Again by Vivian Wood is a classic second chance romance. Rachel and Grayson, who have been apart for 5 years, unexpectedly find themselves face to face again and learn they will be working together for an entire summer. Rachel, who never understood why Grayson disappeared from her life all those years ago, and Grayson, who is still not over the reason behind his disappearance, must now deal with those emotions head on and try to find some way to work well together. They'll need to come to terms with their heart breaking past, all while dealing with their complicated present day lives.
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars because I felt it was slow moving at times; some of the scenes between Rachel and Grayson just didn't seem to fit the story. I would have liked some of the secondary characters to have been more developed, as some of the actions taken by those characters didn't completely make sense.
Overall I enjoyed reading this book. Rachel and Grayson are very likeable characters and an even more likeable couple; their story is emotional from start to finish. I would definitely recommend reading this book, especially if you're a fan of second chance romance stories.
What a fantastic book by this talented author it’s beautifully written flows seamlessly and definitely unputadownable, I was hooked from the very first chapter. A second chance military romance between Rachael who desperately wants to escape her controlling parents and lying cheating boyfriend and Grayson(Gray) who disappeared breaking her heart years previously when he joined as a Navy Seal but due to devastating circumstances he now has to cope with PTSD which has taken over his life causing him to become a ranger in the Olympic National Park needing the solace he thinks he needs. Rachael takes a job across country to escape for the summer not realising that her past will shortly catch up with her future and having to spend a few months alone with Gray will they reconnect?? The fire and the passion from years ago is still evident but can Gray open up and tell Rachael the reason for his disappearance and his suffering and will Rachael help him become the man he once was?? What happens when her Ex and her parents show there ugly heads will Rachael stay strong and Stand by her man?? You know the answers are in this book I absolutely recommend you read it. I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I am happy to give.

This was a heartbreaking story that was absolutely beautiful. It was filled with so much emotion throughout the story that I could not get enough of this story. From the very first page I could not put this story down with two characters I could not get enough off. I really loved this second chance love story between these two characters that find love and forgiveness with each other.
Grayson I absolutely loved and my heart constantly broke for him for the pain he suffered throughout his life. The pain he carried around with him and the struggles he experienced throughout the story constantly broke my heart.
Rachel was a character that I really enjoyed, finding her to be different then I originally thought the character was going to be like. I foudn that she held a lot of pain that caused her to be vunerable and self concious about herseld making her be a relatable character.
I loved the eay that he characters came form different background but still managed to fall in love. The story really had a lot of emotion packed throughout it creating a beautiful read about two characters who were perfect for each other.
Another amazing book by this author. I was sucked in from the start and I couldn’t put it down. This book has everything you want, a brooding alpha, love lost, a past full of pain and regrets. I loved Rachel and Grayson. They were together once and when he shipped out they stayed in touch for a while and then he just disappeared and left her, left her to move on without her knowing what really happened to him and why he did what he did. Rachel’s life isn’t her own, she’s ruled by her fathers thumb and when she catches Clay with another woman that’s it she’s done with it all and takes a job in Seattle, and little did she know that she would come face to face with her past. Can they work together or is there just too much between them to make it through the summer? Will Gray come clean and tell her the truth of what happened to him? So much passion and feelings still between them if only her father and Clay would just disappear, and let them figure out where they stand with each other. Such an amazing book, loved it. It's told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a hea. I highly recommend this book.
3.5 stars actually. I like this book way more than the author’s recent releases.
Rachel and Grayson come from different backgrounds. And were so in love with each other. But something got in goths way and they lost 5 years together. Which nearly broke them both. Now Rachel’s accidentally found Grayson and they need to work together.
Truly admirable the people who will stand in the front lines to protect our country. And sadly there’s not enough support for them when they come back home and need to deal with what happened to them in the line of service.
Grayson is a vet and is still grappling with his tour of duty. And funny how his healing cane faster when Rachel was there. It was just the right time for them to meet again.
Rachel can be more. She’s nice and god and smart. But Grayson is the star of this book for me. And the resolution of their conflict could’ve been more pages for the book than the flashbacks, which didn’t really move the story and could’ve been a conversation about that memory during their talks, walks.
I received a copy of the story for my honest opinion.
