He was her first love. She was the one who got away. A broken engagement brought them back together for a summer of second chances.

Rachel Black had it all: the perfect job, the perfect life, and the perfect fiancé. Until it all fell apart.

Heartbroken after finding her fiancé cheating, she ran away to a summer internship with the national parks service. She never expected to run straight into Grayson… the one-time love of her life.

Grayson was now a ranger guide. In the new role she’d just taken, Rachel had to rely on him. But how could she trust the man who once broke her heart? His reasons for leaving remained a mystery. The longing in his eyes never faded, though.

As old wounds reopened and dark secrets came to light, their spark . Could they find their way back to each other? Or were some bridges burned beyond repair?

Tropes: Second chance romance, workplace romance, forced proximity, slow burn, small-town setting, heartbreak, redemption, emotional tension.

    I loved this story.
Rachel and Grayson had been lovers before Grayson went of to the Navy.
Rachel just graduated and is to work with her fathers company. She catches her boyfriend with another woman and she decides she wants to go somewhere other than stay in New York.
Grayson is working as a park ranger at Olympic park. He has nightmares and sleeps under the stars every night.
This is s great second chance book.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

It’s been so long since we have had a contemporary romance from the wonderful Vivian Wood , so I was so excited for this one to come out! The story was enjoyable, I did finish the book with a couple of questions, which I won’t voice here since it will give too much if the story away.

It’s a tale of opposites attract. The rich girl who falls for the poor guy from the wrong side of the tracks. I do love a story like this because it shows that love can conquer all. It is better than all the money in the world. Your heart wants, what your heart wants.

I read this story pretty quick, and am really intrigued about the next book in the series. I can’t wait to find out what happens!

5.0 out of 5 stars SO GOOD!

Vivian Wood casts out emotional whiplash with Grayson and Rachel's extraordinary second chance at life and love in a sexy, all-consuming, heartbreaking, swimming in feels romance!
    Wowza!
'Kiss Me Again' is not your average second chance romance. PTSD, dark pasts, coupled with chokehold of a future, loss, and lovelessness. Nature's healing powers and true love are just what these two lost individuals need to find what they've been missing.
That is if they can get past their stubborn ways and the roadblocks of others!
Fast-paced, high intensity, powerful connection, and heat, a beautifully broken story with many layers to uncover. Along with amazing first and secondary characters, I cannot wait to hear more about in the future!

1.0 out of 5 stars More recycled scenes

Once again, Vivian Wood uses sex scenes from previous books. This is so disappointing. Important details aren’t even changed, except for the characters’ names. I feel robbed!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Simple Reunion with a lot of complicated baggage

The story of Grayson and Rachel starts when they are teens. They meet and fall in love. He is poor and she is rich. Things happen while he is deployed and they do not reconnect for years. Suddenly, she is thrust in his world again. They are oil and water at first but their love rekindles when they are forced together, alone, for the whole summer. They both overcome so many things in this book. It is a wonderful dual POV book with so many elements and undercurrents. My favorite thing is that they truly find each other again while bonding over the simple things: stars, the outdoors and waterfalls. The ancillary characters are great as well. I would love to see books about them. It is truly a great read!

2.0 out of 5 stars Cover Doesn’t Reflect Heaviness
Reviewed in Canada on 25 March 2025

I agree with the 3 star reviews. The story seemed to drag in the middle, there were inconsistencies in the plot, the characters thought one way but behaved in another - there was a ton of angst throughout the story. What really bothered me was the fact that the illustrated cover doesn’t reflect the heaviness of the book. And ultimately it was simply the love of a good woman to help the MMC finally begin to overcome his PTSD :-0

3.0 out of 5 stars Repeats
Reviewed in the United States on 30 June 2020

I've said this before, but I like the overall story. My complaint that has grown bigger is that the same things are repeated word for word in these books. The same scenes. It's like it was copied and pasted from one book to the other. It's not all the same but some sexual scenes are exactly the same in all the books. Like when he tells her to leave her skirt on and take her panties off and don't male me tell you again. Those exact same words are in all the books in this series. This isn't the only time it happens. It has multiple instances like this.
