Ever feel like you’re being watched?
It’s an awareness so familiar I adapted to it long ago.
Then I enrolled at Westbrook University to chase my dream
and make up for someone else’s lost one.
The prying eyes I’d known almost since birth…
They closed.
Even still, I never got too close.
I made friends with everyone but confided in no one.
My dates were carefully chosen,
meaning I went out with guys I didn’t really like.
And then I was attacked.
I slept in Jamie’s bed while he stayed near me on the floor.
He gave me his number, told me to call.
Oh, I wanted to call. But I didn’t.
Now those invisible, observant eyes that always seemed familiar have returned.
But this time? They chill me to the bone.
Someone is watching. Lurking.
And it’s only a matter of time until whoever is out there does more than stare.
The only place I feel truly safe is wrapped in the massive wingspan of an Elite swimmer.
The very man I know I need to avoid.
But as shit goes down, it becomes clear I’m going to have to surrender something…
My heart or my life.

Please note that Wingspan contains mentions of domestic abuse and suicide. There is also present danger (violence), stalking and homophobia. These situations may be triggering for some readers.

★★★★★- "This book is everything I love about romance. It's fervent, fiery, steamy, sweet, charming, comforting, and simply irresistible. If the highlighter in my Kindle was real ink, I likely would have went through multiple pens." - Lox on Books

★★★★★- "
Jamie is literally everything a book boyfriend should be and then some. He is sweet, funny, possessive, and loyal to a fault. The chemistry between Jamie and Madison is off the charts. They have a true once in a lifetime kind of love." - Tiffany_Reads_Books

★★★★★-
Cambria is quickly making her way up my favorite authors list with her characters as well as her well detailed plots. Ryan may have started this series but Jamie is by far the leader!! The fact this book had so much spice and we didn't even get to the super spicy till halfway through is saying a lot."
- Goodreads Reviewer

★★★★★-
Jamie always has the perfect line to make it all even better. He's like a cherry on top! One of my top reads this year! Ugh Bro, so good! - Lissthebooklover

I laughed (A LOT), I had some tears, but most of all I felt every single emotion that these characters were giving off. Cambria does a fantastic job at throwing a couple big twists in this book and I swear my heart did a couple extra beats a few times. These books are instant one clicks for me!" - Jensbookcase

★★★★★-
I absolutely love this series and the guys are some of the most amazing people ever. They are all loyal, protective, and understanding. The suspense in this one is so intense it keeps you on the edge of your seat and is twisted in a way that shocked me. I loved this book and Jamie even more because he is everything anyone could want in a book boyfriend!! - Goodreads Reviewer

★★★★★-
I mean..... Bro. I LOVED Ryan, don't get me wrong I still do. But WOW. Jamie is literally everything a book boyfriend should be and then some. He is sweet, funny, possessive, and loyal to a fault. He will have you cracking up laughing and swooning at the same time. His love for Madison literally jumps off the page. - Goodreads Reviewer

★★★★★-
This was such a great story; I enjoyed every last word. This may have started with Ryan and Rory but following up with Jamie and Madison has me even more hook on this author! Great drama, danger, a bit of violence, some suspense and super spicey naughty bits; I give this 5 stars. - Goodreads Reviewer

Deep. Dynamic. Devastatingly beautiful. I was rendered powerless by this romance.
Cambria Hebert continues to slay in her latest heart-thrashing saga that strokes the soul. Wingspan blew me away with vivid writing that seamlessly flows across the pages, bringing to life a book so broken, so bold and so beautiful that it shines and shatters through the pages. I felt this romance’s paralyzing intensity everywhere. The second sensation in the Westbrook Elite series spotlights the university swim heroes and the heroines who bring them to their knees. Wingspan is a deep dive into an emotional pool of heart and hope that touches long after the last page. Hebert paints a powerful portrait of a broken heroine brought back to life by a big-hearted hero who uses his wings, helping her fly. Hebert seamlessly inserted me into the heroine’s mind where I felt her nerves, felt the intensity of the hero’s effect on Madison … my heart beating fast like hers. And Jamie? This ultimate hero, my bro, was talking to me too. I fell hard for Jamie and Madison who are perfection together in a story so heady, so harrowing, so hopeful, and so heartfelt. Wingspan’s prose is passionately poetic where the words dance off the pages, in harmony like the perfect butterfly stroke. Deep. Dynamic. Devastatingly beautiful. I was rendered powerless by this romance—its force awakened everything inside of me. Prepare to be wowed by Wingspan, a stunning sports romance that makes a splash, hitting the heart and soul long after the last word. 💋💋💋💋💋💋 forever wingspan kisses

    BRO!!!!!
Okay I still love Ryan, but his best friend is just as amazing as he is. Wingspan is Jamie’s book, and we get to spend time with him as he falls for Madison. We met Madison in Ryan and Rory’s book, Wet, as she was the one who Rory’s save from Jonas. What I wasn’t ready for was how much I was going to enjoy Mads. This girl has as much fight in her as we saw in Rory and I love it. She continues to fight as much as she can against the feelings she has for Jamie for her sake as much as his. Mads has a past that once it is unveiled makes you understand that strength that she has. Jamie is the best butterfly swimmer and as an Elite holds a status that he offers to Mads to keep her safe. He offers his wingspan to keep her safe, hello swooning here! Jamie knows that there is a story there that has Mads very protective of herself and as he slowly works his way past the wall, he learns the reason she built it up so high. He vows to always be there for her and will wait for her. See what I mean, he is so amazing. Mads learns that having friends that have your back makes life that much more enjoyable because you can trust them to be there. Once she lets Jamie in fully, the rest of the group follows, and they all protect her in their own way. I laughed (A LOT), I had some tears, but most of all I felt every single emotion that these characters were giving off. Wes just rolls with the flow and Max, well he is overprotective and makes me laugh. But Cambria did an amazing job with all her characters that truly compliment Jamie and Madison in their book. And hello the Bro’s are hilarious with their banter and bromance. These two best friends are perfect. Oh, and let’s chat real quick about the silent communication that Madison and Jamie can have. A simple look and the other knows exactly what they are thinking, and it happens. I love when characters do that.

The thing is Cambria does a fantastic job at throwing a couple big twists in this book and I swear my heart did a couple extra beats there a few times. These books are instant one clicks for me, and I need Wingspan on my bookshelf as soon as possible. There is SO much more I want to write, but seriously just pick this one up and read it. You won’t be disappointed.

Wingspan is another fantastic college romance by Cambria Hebert. While you don't have to read the first book in the series, "Wet", it is helpful to the storyline. And since it is also a fantastic read, I highly recommend it. It is where we first meet Jamie, the MMC of Wingspan, and its where I fell in love with his humor, and was excited to find out about his depth. Cambria Hebert gave us that and more in the story of Jamie and Madison. There is mystery, angst, friendship, love, and a boatload of Bros to enjoy here!

    *Spoilers*

I believe this is the first time I've read and listened to this book. I enjoyed it a bit more than the 1st book for some reason. Jaime was an interesting character, and so was Mel. I still found there were a few "roll your eye" moments. I still ended up skipping over the intimate scenes, as I wasn't exactly interested or comfortable in reading how explicit they were. But I tried with the shower scene and when Mel was exploring Jaime's chest, but had to skip over it when it got to be a bit too much. It did get rather dark at times. I also didn't expect one of the people to be a villain. I really liked the cameo mention of Romeo from the Hashtag series, which kind of makes me hope there might be a short story between both series, but I mainly liked the fact that this hinted that three of this authors series are in the same universe - I love cameos like this. I am curious timeline wise on how old Romeo is during this series, but I was relieved to see the word "is" and not "was" when describing him as the best quarterback football player - pretty sure that's his position - which means he's still playing and is alive. Besides that, I thought Jaime was wonderful towards Mel with how understanding and protective he was towards her. I liked their banter and his jokes. I find it amusing how he isn't a morning person. I am curious on what exactly everyone's going to school for degree wise. Rory is in the photography program, no idea what Ryan is going towards as all I know he does is swim and work out - wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a swim coach or is aiming for the Olympics like Jaime is or is in business or marketing due to his Dad like Jaime is. Jaime is in business because of his Dad, I guess, even though that's not what he wants to do, but is going to try out for the Olympics. And Mel is in theater but is switching to something else. I thought it was mentioned that Jaime and Ryan met and became friends in college, but from what I gathered, they've known each other a lot longer, since their moms have known each other for years and own their own business together. So there are a few loose ends, but overall it was a good book.

I think i have been waiting for this book ever since i met Jamie in wet and i have no words.

I knew this was going to be a great book but i think i underestimated Jamie because that man had me swooning all over the place. Pretty sure I swooned at times that it wasn't needed but i was ridiculously hooked to this story.

The little hints that you are given in 'Wet' doesn't compare to the explosive/loving relationship these two end up having.

I'm a major fan of 'he falls first' and seeing Jamie pursue Maddie was everything. He knew right when he met her and he was patient (maybe not so patient) and waited for her to be ready for him and his wingspan.

I think I fell for his character with the first " Maddie Baby" and i strapped in for a hell of a ride.

Due to secrets from her past, Maddie has always felt alone. Everything that has been happening lately has kept her on edge and she doesn't trust easy. She knows that Jaime has the power to emotionally destroy her. She fights him but she doesn't expect him to fight harder for her.

This book has everything that I always look for, humour, spice, and an intriguing story line. I also love the friendship aspect between the characters.

The little bits that we got from Ryan and Rory were so special and i'm SO pumped for Wes/Max.

Oh my gosh did I enjoy this book! I mean could Jamie be a more perfect book boyfriend, he is one hunk of an alpha male, possessive, protective but oh so loving. Cambria is the best at creating boyfriends you can’t fail to fall in love with. I mean take Romeo from her #Nerd series.

This book just flowed with a great twist at the end. There were some dark elements, but also humour, love and spicy scenes all beautifully written into an engaging story that I couldn’t put down!

Don’t hesitate to read this book, can’t recommend highly enough!

Well done Cambria can’t wait for more.

    How do I even begin...

Jamie might be a contender for the nr 1 book boyfriend spot I'll tell you that much.

The story is utterly consuming and takes you on a wild wild ride.

As I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes still thinking about all that has happened.

Its light and oh so dark.

    I can't even with this...

A very powerful story which consumed me wholeheartedly.

The perfect series does exist you guys and I suggest you guys go grab it stat!

Next up wes and max.... Which will be fire I'm sure. Possibly figuratively and literally.

4.0 out of 5 stars A sweet romantic suspense!
Reviewed in Canada on October 16, 2022
What a fabulous book! This is the second in a series, and while you don’t have to have read the first, it really helps, because you got to know the characters, particularly Jamie, in that one.
I love romantic suspense books and I love insta-love protective heroes, and this book delivers so perfectly on both fronts. The heroine is reluctant to love because of her past. Jamie is one of the “elite” swimmers at the school, and he’s popular, charming, and loyal. He basically fell in love at first sight in the previous book in the series, when Madison and the heroine from the previous book were in danger, and he volunteered to help protect them. No matter how much Madison tries to keep Jamie at an arm’s length, it’s impossible, and she quickly falls for him.
One thing I love about this series is that while the heroes are alpha males, they’re totally smitten with their heroines, and even though they’re tough and “masculine”, they’re not egotistical and they’re genuinely good people. Jamie doesn’t take himself too seriously. The author really balances the line between cocky and confident quite nicely.
This is one of those types of books where the obstacles are external to the relationship. I don’t want to spoil it here, but there’s a fabulous mystery subplot, which ends in a very satisfying conclusion.
