From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Nicole James, comes a second chance, friends to lovers romance.
A woman lost in grief and pain. A bossy biker determined to bring her back to life. A wickedly wild ride.
Paige knows the meaning of pain and loss. Two years ago she left town to nurse her grief over the death of her husband in a tragic bike wreck. Now she’s back—returning to the one family that understands the depth of her loss—her MC family.
WICKED — My brother’s ol’ lady. I’ve carried unspoken feelings for her since the night we met. Ransack and I were as close as two MC brothers could be. I was with him the night he died. I held Paige in my arms in the trauma bay as she collapsed, her wailing sobs tearing my heart out. And the month after the funeral, I helped her load up Ransack’s old truck and head off for Macon—taking my heart with her. I wish I could take that pain away from her. More than once I’ve wished I’d died in my brother’s place. Ransack’s death had been a huge loss for me, but watching Paige drive out of my life as well, ripped my heart out.
Now she’s back. When I see her standing across the clubhouse, instantly my lust for her flares back to life like it’s been days, not years. She drove out of my life once, but I’ll be damned if I’ll waste this second shot with her. All I have to do is win her heart from a dead man.
I’ll do anything to keep my woman safe. Only problem is— Paige is stubborn and willful. And she never does anything she’s told.
PAIGE —
Wicked. He’s the one man I could always count on. When I see him across the clubhouse for the first time in years, my heart begins beating again. I need him, more than he can possibly know. But in order to have a chance together, I have to let go of the past. That’s easier said than done.
When information comes to light, I begin to question if my husband’s death was the tragic accident it appeared. Determined to find out the truth… I won’t let anything stop me. But the evidence I dig up could put everything I hold dear in jeopardy—Wicked, our future, and my very life.
Nicole James is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author who loves writing about hot alpha men who'll do anything for the women they love! Her stories are filled with struggle, conflict and real human emotion. She is the author of the Evil Dead MC series, the Brothers Ink Tattoo series and more.
Wicked is another fantastic addition to Nicole James’s Evil Dead MC series.
This one takes place in Slidell, Louisiana (chapter). What that means is we get to hang out with Undertaker, Blood, Joker, Sandman, So-Cal, and company.
The guys from Louisiana are BADASS as hell. When someone messes with one of their own, it isn't ever gonna well for them.
I love Wicked and Paige together and couldn't wait for their story, especially knowing the long-time feelings they've held for one another.
Nicole James has written one helluva great storyline with a cast of characters who, over the years, have become family to me. The only problem with Wicked? I didn't want it to end! Another five-star read for me.
Loved this book it took me less than 24 hours to read it and as I expected, it did not disappoint me! It was fun to see Paige come back to town 2 years after she lost her husband Ransack and although at first she was trying to play hard to get and not seem interested in one of Ransack's brother's Wicked of the Evil Dead MC, it didn't take long before they were into each other again! There were some moments you were not sure what was going to happen with MC and business they were taking care of. If you want to find out the whole story, then it's definitely worth it to buy this book which is the newest one in the Evil Dead MC series. If you have never read any of her books, what are you waiting for definitely worth it to start at the beginning! She's a great author!
I am not sure what my true issue with this book was. It wasn't a bad book, but for some reason I just never got into the book. I never connected with the characters and I was left with not really caring about them. I never saw their connection, never really believed it and they seemed to be apart more then together throughout the whole book. The story for me was just ok too. The story was rush and the timeline didn't always add up. Did I really care about the book, not really. Will I read it again, no. Am I glad I read it, again maybe.
I love this series and this authors writing. I've been reading this series for a few years now. Had to let myself get behind on this because reading one book at a time is never enough.
This is Wicked and Paige's story. Paige was once and ol lady to Ransack before he died in an accident. His best friend was Wicked so when he died it hit both of real hard. Paige left the club for two years but she is back now. Partly the reason why was of course because she lost him and the other was guilt... you'll learn what that means.
When she starts going through some of her deceased husbands paperwork she starts noticing weird coincidences but is it something or is she imagining things??
I like them two together and love how he is finally able to give her what she always wanted. On to the next book..
I LOVED Paige and Wicked! Wicked’s best friend and sponsor passed away and left his ol lady Paige. She moved away but returns 2 years later and Wicked has always wanted her but never made a move because he was his brothers girl but now it’s game on! I loved this story!!
Im telling you, you just can NOT go wrong with Evil Dead MC books! I love Nicole's writing style-her characters draw you into their story! I need more, more, more.....
Another great book from Nicole James ! I couldn’t put this one down. Loved Wicked and Paige, and the rest of the Evil Dead family. Loved the multilayered storyline. Flawless as ever. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Errors with how many men did what and where and when in the final “mission” to save the leading lady. You can’t have 2 men split to a whole other area then all of a sudden they’re with the other crew! They were supposed to divide and conquer two areas in two different locations at once!
Timeline issues. Spelling errors. I didn’t think the main characters were that in love with each other, well it wasn’t believable to me. Wicked spent too much time away from Paige and also not believing her when stuff happened fully.
I did however like some big tear jerker moments- some deep emotional stuff. It felt real and got me.
Ok. Before I delve into my review, in case you didn’t know, Wicked was originally published as a novella called My Ol’ Lady. It’s part of the Evil Dead MC series, James expanded the story, renamed it (obviously 🙄😜), and it’s here in all its glory! Wooo! 🙌
I’m gonna cut to the chase— Wicked is another amazing addition to the series! This was a second chance romance with a twist as Paige was originally an ol’ lady of another MC brother who died in an accident. His best friend Wicked has always had an attraction to Paige but never acted on it. She moved away shortly after to try and get a fresh start but a couple years later she moves back home and reunites with the club. All romantic feelings come flooding back for Wicked once he sees her again and it’s like no time has passed. The kicker is… Paige has the same feelings for Wicked too!
This was a relatively quick read (still on the shorter side of a full-length novel) with fast-paced storytelling. It’s told from both points of view and the majority of the story focuses on Paige being able to move on from her deceased hubby.
There’s a nice amount of MC elements still going on on the sidelines whilst Paige and Wicked figure out their budding relationship. I would’ve loved if it was a little longer to really give their story and their relationship a deeper development. I thought it could’ve been more in-depth. Paige and Wicked have known each other quite a long time but their past wasn’t something that was delved into in detail other than a couple of flashback memories. It gives you some insight into Wicked, Paige, and her husband Ransack’s friendship/relationship but I couldn’t fully connect with it because there wasn’t enough past interactions to make me see the close brotherhood they supposedly had.
I don’t know if that was purposely done so readers wouldn’t get attached to Ransack (because he’s dead and this is Paige’s and Wicked’s story) but in my opinion it lacked some form of bond, resulting in my lack of connection and emotion in really loving this couple as much as previous couples in this series.
Putting those minor issues aside, I did overall enjoy reading this book. It still has great world-building in place with the brotherhood dynamics present. I was excited to see some of the past MC brothers make appearances in this book to give the story some dimension. There’s more than meets the eye with Paige’s story and the accident the killed Ransack, so I was kept on my toes as the truth slowly revealed itself.
Paige’s and Wicked’s rollercoaster of emotions and uncertainty within their relationship felt fairly relatable. I sympathized with Paige’s struggle to fully commit to a new relationship, and with Wicked’s frustration with having to somewhat compete with a ghost for Paige’s love.
James has added her usual trademark swoon-worthy heroes who are just the right amount of sweetness and protective alpha. The usual brotherly banter is there which is one of the reasons I first fell in love with this series, and even though this is an MC romance, there’s no doubt that “love conquers all” and a “happily ever after” is present.
I always love the balance of light and dark within the storylines of each book in this series. There may be some suspense and serious subject matters on occasion, but there’s also amazing friendships, swoon-worthy coupling, and tons of entertaining banter as well! Wicked is no different!
A must read for fans of Nicole James and her Evil Dead MC series and perfect for any romance reader looking for MC romance books. 👌😉 The world-building is oh-so vivid and ever-expanding with each new book. Although this book can be read as a standalone, to get the full experience of their MC brotherhood and all the relationships, I highly recommend you start from the beginning with Outlaw and work your way from there.
I love the EDMC every member is awesome and I can never wait for their banter and interactions with eachother.
This story is some what of a slow burn. Wicked was 5 minutes to late and that was something that always weighed heavy. Wicked had always harboured feelings for his brothers ol lady, but he never acted on them, he couldn't do that to Ransack.
But now Ransack is not here, and Wicked was done waiting in the shadows, Paige is his and he won't let anyone stop him.
Finally able to come home jow that the pain of losing Ransack has lessened, she is still grieving but she needs to move on. What Paige didn't expect when Undertacker pulls her up in stage and amounts the very man she shouldn't have feelings for, her guardian.
Paige and Wickid begin their journey on an unknown path, but it quickly becomes clear that the were destined to be together.

What a story. To be in love with your best friend's wife has got to be hard a thing to watch until he dies. Then she ups and leaves. Now she is back and you are not gonna keep away from her when you now have your chance at being happy and making her happy. Now Paige is back in town and going through storage boxes and comes across past information and starts digging into things that gets her into some hot water. People now want her dead. If you have kept up with the Evil Dead MC, then you won't want to miss this book either.
Wicked/Travis held his MC brother, Ransack, after a fatal motorcycle crash; an hour later, he was comforting Ransack’s widow, Paige. Wicked pined for Paige from the second he laid eyes on her and though she left right after Ransack died, Paige is back and Wicked’s feelings haven’t dimmed at all. Lucky for him, Wicked got himself assigned as Paige’s MC contact, trouble for her because she can’t resist him. Rating: 3.5stars
Ok storyline but the characters just didn’t move me. They didn’t make me feel engaged with them or the story. I didn’t want to be friends with these characters nor did they make me want to read about others. I adore MC reads but this wasn’t one I’m interested in continuing.
First of all, I read Wicked in one sitting so that should tell you how much I enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down but that happens when reading anything by Nicole James. This story is about Wicked and Paige. Paige was married to Ransack, who was a MC brother and close friend of Wicked. Ransack is "accidentally" killed while riding his bike with brother. Paige moves away heartbroken but returns to the MC 2 years later much to Wicked's delight (delight might not be a word the brother's would use, but hell with it, lol) and is determined to finally make her his, having harbored feelings for Paige for a long time. I will say Paige broke my heart a few times and tissues were definitely needed. I just put myself in her shoes . I'm not going to go through their story step by step, so just one click and start enjoying their journey of letting go, and finding peace and love.
I didn’t like this one much, but you may. For me, it’s like most average MC romances. Nothing really stood out to me. For a novella it seemed to take forever to read, which means I was bored. So bored I was skim reading. Maybe it was the prose? At least I didn’t DNF which I was super close to doing when years of conflict between the H and h (couldn’t even tell you there names and I just finished the book 10 min ago), was resolved in a matter of two pages? Then we skip ahead two weeks later and they are a happy couple.
Also, from chapter one I knew how the book would end. She wanted a baby, her man died before they could pregnant. She hooks up with her dead husbands BFF (because they’ve always wanted to be together), he gets her pregnant. The End. Now you don’t have to read a book.
Paige and Wicked haven't seen each other in 2 years. She left shortly after her ol' man was killed. Wicked has always wanted her and knows now might be his time. Paige does resist for a bit, but soon confesses some things that give Wicked even more hope. Paige then inadvertently stumbles upon some information that makes her question what really happened that tragic night. Wicked, for his part, really misinterprets her reactions and what ensues is both of them trying to figure a way to go forward. I did like how Paige acknowledged her feelings and didn't try to hide them. Wicked, for his part, really did try to be understanding. Paige also seemed to be ignoring advice from everyone and I didn't quite understand it. The ending was perfect for these 2.
Wicked: An Evil Dead MC Story (The Evil Dead MC Series Book 11) WOW!
Nicole James has done it again. This is one rollercoaster ride that is not for the faint of heart. This one will keep you on the edge of your seat while the sexy bits will keep you reading late into the night. This is Wicked and Page's story. Paige was married to one of Wicked's brothers who was killed in a motorcycle accident. This story will make you laugh out loud and cry and set in New Orleans area you can be sure that there are gators and a few snakes. MS James is a fantastic storyteller. Her scenes are vivid and sometimes gruesome but wow you won't stop reading. Thank you Nicole James for sharing your alpha bikers and their kickass ladies with us
This was a good read and especially because it focused on Paige. It was amazing to read about a female lead that was strong enough to investigate the things with Ransack. Paige was helping her own self to heal. It was a beautiful scene where she takes the steps towards healing and not just forgetting. Having positive and strong women in MC books are refreshing. There are still the strong alpha males and hot and steamy sections that can build on to having women with strength and character. I enjoyed the brothers too and their relationships. I wished there was a little more of the group and throw a BBQ in or some catch up in for any new additions to the MC family, babies, etc. Read On!
“Walk through any cemetery down here in South Louisiana and you can feel it—you’re literally surrounded by the deceased. They’re in the walls.”
I didn’t think this short story could get any better but it did. This longer version went into a lot of detail the short story didn’t.
Paige is obsessed with finding out what happened to her husband. Wicked knows they where meant to be together. He’s just giving her time to heal.
I have to fix things with Wicked. I have to make him see that I do love him, and I won’t let your memory come between us again. I’m sorry, honey, but I have to let you go.
Want, need, love, lust and she doesn't know it but she will be mine!!
Paige my best friend and brothers widow is back , driving me crazy with need to make her mine. Ransack my brother and best bud dies two years ago, she left town nearly killed me. I am Wicked and I am in the MC and she will be my old lady sooner or later! This is a great book with love, sexy romance, steamy and even danger. Nicole James did it again, hard to put down once you start to read. Great characters. I recommend with a 5 Stars review
Lord this book took me back, back to when Paige's Old Man died. It was the most painful thing anyone could ever go through, it broke Paige to her core. Through out all of that there was one man that's always been there, one man that's been in love with his brother's old lady but Out of respect he never made a move. But he took his chance when she came back, he had her hook line and sinker. It is an emotional book, both of them got a second chance at love again, it's painful for both of them but with time, day by day they'll get there💛🖤💛
I am not surprised this was good just at how good it is to be one of the shortest books in the series. I can't decide whether to give this one 4.5 stars or a solid 5! I believe it i the shortest Evil Dead MC book but that did not stop Nicole James from loading this tale with everything. From love at first sight, to a slight love triangle throwing in a murder kidnapping and revenge. And there was still more in there. Please who am I kidding this may be best one yet, solid 5 Stars
Story of Paige, the young widow of Ransack, and Wicked, who was Ransack's best friend. Wicked has always loved Paige from a distance and now that she is back in town he decides to make his move. Of course there are lots of obstacles in the way. What's different about this book is that the couple gets together pretty quickly. They are hot and steamy and the subplot, which moves pretty quickly, is interesting. My only complaint is I wish the book was longer so the backdrop story could have been explored in more depth. Great series.
OMG if you love second chances and MC stories this is the one for you. Its romantic, funny, and there is a mystery to be solve. I love Wicked and Paige. My heart went out for them. Paige has come back to the MC after spending 2 years away trying to cope with the death of her husband Ransack. And now that she is back Wicked is going to look after her. He has always had feeling for Paige but never acted on them while she was married. All bets are off now..... Ms. James Evil Dead series just keeps getting better with each book.
A Evil Dead what do you expect amazing love and amazing story. You read these books in one sitting. Paige and Wicked's story keeps your toes curled until it's over. Wicked has kept his love a secret until Paige comes home from grieving the loss of her husband. She fights him and her feelings and this is where Ms James does her thing she just sucks us in and we fall in love with her characters.
My first MC romance was none other than Outlaw, Nicole James; now here we are at number 11 in the evil dead series. It's Wickeds' turn. And he does not disappoint!! Wicked's love comes back and with it an unknown threat. Wicked shows his love, protectiveness along with some bloodthirsty ways. Yeah, his lady love doesn't stand a chance.
Be prepared, once you start there are no stopping places, it's all in and you won't be disappointed
She's Ransack's Widow after he died in a motorcycle accident she left for two year's but now that she is Wicked claims and tells her he's loved her since they first met but he never would have acted on his love while she was married to a brother. I would recommend this book and series for mature readers (sexual content and situations) that love stories that are at times laugh out loud funny, steamy, suspenseful, and romantic. Well done.
I have really missed this series! Although it's been a while since the last release, it seemed like it was only yesterday when I read the last one. I love all of the crazy characters, humor, and the suspenseful twists that each story brings. I'm looking forward to reading all of the new releases that are coming! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
(Evil Dead New Orleans, LA MC Chapter) I really enjoyed this story. Liked Wicked & Paige together. Thought that it was a touchy subject that was handled well since Wicked was in love with his best friend's (Ransack) wife since the beginning. Don't remember Wicked or Ransack from past MC (Louisiana) stories, but I read this series a while ago. Really liked the club business and the banter between the guys. Looking forward to the next book.
