I had this series recommended to me on instagram cause some fan art was wanted.By the end of book 1 I was hooked!I love the O’Donnelly family! Where can I get my own?So far im madly in love with Eoghan! There is just something about a sniper, trained assassin that makes me weak in the knees:)I also loved Inez, I love that being from the life she was, she just walked in with her head held high and was keen to make a bad situation better.Having a hottie as your husband probably helped lol but one who would avenge you at every turn… yep count me in!     I have been in a funk lately nothing has really gripped me and caught my attention lately. So when I grabbed this book from seeing it on a random Social media post I thought it would be the same. Was I wrong. When I started this book I couldn’t put it down and now that I’ve finished I’m going back to the first book from this authors universe and going to work my way through them all. It was the first book I’ve tried from this author and definitely won’t be the last. If you like strong well written characters in a solid story. This is the book for you.

    God this was such a good read. I absolutely loved the main character's chemistry, and I LOVED the way he'd do absolutely anything for her and grew so protective of her immediately. The FMC was a little strange character wise to begin with, but I grew to love her as she became more confident and fierce.

    Kept my attention. I got sucked in by seeing a snippet of him protecting her and against my better judgment, I read a mafia romance. Against my better judgment…because I hate mafia romance. Truly. Never read one

    that I liked because I don’t find drug dealers, murderers and traffickers attractive. The whole thing sounds like absolute hell to me. And the whole disrespect for women, cheating and violence-I hate it. And while we can hope the H doesn’t cheat on the h, it was made clear that is an absolute possibility in the future because that’s what these guys do. Thank goodness though, he was actually pretty nice to her, even if they all basically hate women, in general. The saving grace for me was that he was protective of her and didn’t beat or rape her. If I were ever going to like a mafia romance, this would have been it.

    It was well written. There were quite a few awkward sentences with misplaced modifiers that an editor should have caught, but the story itself was good. The plot was interesting. The characters were well developed. The pacing was pretty good. It held my attention, and I actually finished it, despite feeling distaste for basically every single character in it. I imagine if I actually could stand mafia romance, I would have really liked this book. So I am rating it based on what I feel the book deserves regardless of my own personal likes. I expect MOST people reading this book are coming into it already liking this trope…unlike myself who was sucked in by good advertising DESPITE hating this trope. I’m not penalizing it in my rating because it isn’t my genre, lol. That would be like reading a police procedural crime drama and complaining the book had a cop in it.

    If you like the genre, give it a shot.

    This is a huge improvement from book one. Inesa was an strong young bratva princess. She held her ground but also stayed in place when she had to. I thought these M C were better build all around. There was a development in who they were as individuals and as a couple. I still felt the author gave too much unnecessary information and I couldn't gasp what this was about. The plot was just them adapting to marriage? Daddy issues here and there , but nothing else happening till the end, I felt like something was missing. But a path in the right direction, will gladly read the 3rd.

    I felt less of a connection to (and between) the main characters in this book compared to some of the others I have read by this author, so I didn't enjoy it quite as much. Still, it was interesting to watch the relationship between the MCs develop. It was well played out, for sure. And the steamy scenes were as hot as ever, which was great. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series, though!

    This is the first of the Filthy Feckers series but runs on from the Five Points Collection (The Air He Breathes) with the pact the Irish and Russians made.

    That was to marry two of their children together both of who do not want this and have never met.

    I don't love a lot of arrange marriage books but this was too well written and such a great story that it just added to the characters.

    Eoghan (pronounced Owen) is older than his bride and has seen so much in his life and definitely doesn't think he can love anyone other than his family. 

    He definitely didn't want to be married but especially not to 18 year old Russian princess Inessa (pronounced Ih-nessa) but he would do anything for his family.

    Inessa on the other hand is not your typical 18 year old although she is innocent and naive in alot of ways she has also a bleak and mature outlook as well. 

    With both growing up in organised crime families you may say that the age difference doesn't necessarily mean two different worlds. While that may be the case the way they were raised and the way the families are with each other is completely different. Eoghan would do anything for his family but Inessa would do whatever she could do get away from hers.

    The relationship that blooms between them was amazing to watch unfold as I read this. 

    There's ups and downs with all marriages this shows this as well as the two get to know each other.

    Was lovely seeing all the tie ins with other books and series with these books as well. I just love the whole world that Serena has built and the characters and how she links them together. 

    I can't wait for more! 

    Definitely a highly recommended read from me in this one.
