Fast: A Pregnant by the Bad Boy Romance (Burns Brothers Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
I wanted her the first time I laid eyes on her. But what starts as a fun time, quickly gets serious when the stick turns pink a month later. My life is already chaos with my recently paroled father popping up and the usual drama at the family business building custom motorcycles. Plus our reality show just got picked up for a full season.
But it really hits the fan when I discover that the new woman in my life is the daughter of the President of the West Coast Kings, the baddest motorcycle club in Sacramento—and our biggest client. Think he’ll like being called Grandpa?
Life just got hella complicated.

Ryan is the hero of our story he meets Hope and they have a one night stand that turns into so much more when that little stick turns pink. As if his life wasn't already chaotic enough with the custom bikes he and his brothers make being made into a reality TV show his father recently getting parole and turning back up in their life. Then he discovers Hope id the daughter of the president of the West Coast Kings a % club. hat will he do when he finds out his daughter is pregnant a daughter he has only just connected with There will be plenty of dram as these two fight for a HEA but will they get it.
- Reviewed in Australia on 15 August 2019Fast was the first book that I’ve read by Gillian Archer and also the second book in the Burns Brothers series.
I absolutely loved reading this book. The story of Ryan and Hope was filled with angst and plenty of bumps, but it kept me intrigued from start to finish.
Ryan works with his brothers building custom motorcycles and also starring in a reality tv show. When he goes with his brothers to deliver a motorcycle to the president of the West Coast Kings MC he spots a gorgeous woman that even after leaving, he can’t stop thinking about.
Hope recently discovered that T-Bone is her biological father and is trying to get to know him better. When she finds herself pregnant with Ryan’s baby after their one time together, she doesn’t know what to do. Ryan wants to be there to support her through the entire process and truly is a beautiful soul. Hope doesn’t want to lose her father after only just finding him, but when certain things come to light she finds herself questioning her loyalties.
I truly loved reading this book and am super keen to read the other books in the series!
- Reviewed in Australia on 15 August 2019How can you not love a guy who stands by the woman who is having his baby?! Sure they met at a biker clubhouse since Ryan and his brothers build specialty bikes for some of the club members even the Prez, T-Bone. His eyes drew to her even though she was by T-Bone which should scare anyone away. Hope had those same eyes for Ryan along with fangirling on the famous reality star. Well, all it took was one night of stepping out on the wild side for Hope and the little stick turned pink.
This was just the beginning for the couple especially with T-Bone shaming his daughter and having Ryan as his target. Insta romance at its best. We finally have a “good” guy in Ryan whose attention is only on Hope and their baby…even with all the family drama surrounding them.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved Ryan's story!
Verified PurchaseFast is the second book in Gillian Archer's Burns Brothers series and is a sexy as all get out pregnant by the bad boy story. There's just something about a dysfunctional family of goodhearted people that makes for good drama. Rich character back stories, a delectable connection between Ryan and Hope and trouble over every horizon!
Ryan Burns has always been a hot head, but he's taken steps to change for the better. When he meets Hope, it's an instant sizzle when he least expects it and he steps up to be the man he's always wanted to be when they learn a baby is on the way.
Hope Stephens has been looking for the family that she always dreamed of, and she's found it in Ryan. He will stop at nothing to convince her that he's in this thing for the long haul. Not just because of the baby, but because of her.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys watching a tough guy fall like a ton of bricks when he meets his soulmate. The family backdrop is rich with strife, but always solid in their support of each other. The passion is super steamy and sure to make you squirm. You simply can't go wrong with this series, and I'm so looking forward to the next book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced
Verified PurchaseEven though it was a whirlwind story nothing was skirted over. It had the chemistry, family drama, and lots of appeal. I need to read book one although it isn't necessary, but these brothers deserve to be read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved Ryan and Hope!
Verified PurchaseThree months ago Ryan and Hope met at a party at the local motorcycle club. He walked away but never forgot about her. Now they run into each other again at another party and can't deny their attraction so they take their fun back to her place. Where their fun ends up giving them more than they bargained for when the condom breaks. Oops.
I really enjoyed this one. Ryan and Hope were both very likeable characters. I adored how Ryan wanted more from Hope, baby or no baby. He was such a sweet and caring guy. He doesn't seem to fit in with his brothers at all and I have to say I really liked that aspect of him. Hope's relationship/story with her mom seemed to bounce all over the place and it confused me. Either she was an absent mother or she was always there for you and you always felt the love. Seemed like this changed for the narrative of the situation. But as I said I really liked Hope and how her story played out. This was a good one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoying this family!
Verified PurchaseThings definitely take off fast in Ryan & Hope's story. They have an instant connection & an instant "oopsie" and are instantly put in positions they weren't expecting! I wasn't terribly keen about the beginning - they kept calling it a one-night stand even tho they both really wanted more. There were some miscommunications that were annoying at the same time endearing... And when they do start communicating openly, I absolutely love that there aren't any games or pretenses, just two ppl exploring their relationship.
I enjoyed getting to know Ryan & Hope (sidebar: anyone else think of the old soap opera Ryan's Hope there? Just me? Sorry, carry on!). I also enjoyed getting to know the Burns family more, seeing Austin & Rachel living their HEA w/ young Wyatt, and Austin being a good father to him.
The OMH moment was done really well & I LOVED the way Hope handles the situation once she finds out what happened. And the swoony HEA - awww! Looking forward to reading Sabrina's story, too!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this series
Verified PurchaseWith book two of the Burns Brothers series, I'm now, finally, up to date. I might have read this series in the wrong order, but it hasn't reduced my enjoyment. Fast tells the story of Hope and Ryan. I already had a good idea of what might happen to these two, based on the other books I've read. Even so, I enjoyed actually reading their story.
Ryan, like his brothers, is a sweetheart, buried beneath an angry and damaged facade. By this second book, he's already started to have anger management help and he's ready for what he's about to experience with Hope.
These two make a really good couple and although things move way faster in some ways than maybe strictly ideal, it still all works for them. I really enjoyed their story and the way that things turned out.
There's still one more brother to go in this great series and I have to admit that I am looking forward to Dylan's story.
