WOLF CHILD: A PNR Shifter RH Romance (The Year of the Wolf Book 1) Kindle Edition
SABINA
I'm human.
They're... not.
I'm afraid.
They're not.
We're mated. We're whole.
And together? We're going to change the Pack.
Forever.
Violence thrust me into this world.
My past defined me.
I was on the run. Constantly evading an adolescence loaded with heartbreak and fear, and then the end came.
But with it?
I found a new beginning.
Three mates.
Three Alphas.
All mine.
To have.
To hold.
Their protection gives me a future.
Their love gives me wings...
But the best intentions can still lead us to hell, and for the first time in my life, I have a future worth fighting for. Only, that doesn't take away my living demons.
When they come for me, which they will, I'm no longer alone.
But can I survive if fate has given me an expiration date I avoided a decade ago?

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 July 2020I’d probably give this book 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.
I haven’t read all of Serena Akeroyd’s book, but most of them have rated pretty high on my list of books I’d like to read again. I particularly enjoyed TriAlpha Chronicles and this book takes us into another wolf shifter based world.
The world building is complex and interesting and I really enjoyed getting the outline of the way the shifter culture was structured, especially learning about the role the Mother plays in their society.
Ethan and Austin are twin wolf shifters, a rarity in their world. They are joint enforcers for their pack and are having a rare time off wandering round a carnival when they find a woman who has been nearly killed by an alpha wolf shifter. As it is a full moon she is likely to survive and transition, even though her attack is forbidden and her attacker will be punished. The twins take her back to pack land and watch her transformation before taking her to Eli the pack alpha. All three are drawn to her.
Sabina has had a very hard life and has spent the last 12 years hiding in carnivals to avoid being killed by her father or brother. When she is transformed she has no life to walk away from and reaches for her new life with open hands, not realising the full depth of the changes about to happen in her life.
As always with this author’s work the character development is excellent. They are all distinctive in a believable way that avoids the caricatures that are easy to use when writing about multiple characters. The plot construction is clever and engaging, as the author pulls you through the twists and turns of their relationships with each other, the Mother and the pack. There were a few slower moments in the middle of the book, but I still quite enjoyed them because they were essential to the growth of the characters.
This world is so enticing I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, which seems to involve Sabina’s sister from the tantalising snippet at the end of the last book. This is the only problem with reading a book as soon as it comes out, you have to wait ages for the next one. At least there was no cliffhanger, just a well written book that encourages the reader to get their hands on the next book as soon as possible to carry out learning about the author’s world.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2020I have still to read more paranormal romances by Serena Akeroyd and thought I could kick start that with brand new release Wolf Child.
I am so glad that I did as I loved it and know it will mean I can happily continue my binge and there will be more of it to come as its the first in a trilogy.
Wolf Child has a young girl, Sabina, attacked and turned into a wolf shifter she thankfully is stumbled upon by Ethan and Austin, 2 hot male shifters oh and twins to go with it and taken back to their packs land and their Alpha Eli.
As it turns out Sabina has turned out to be the packs new Omega who is a strong female that helps the alpha with the pack. The stronger they are the more men she needs to ground her and Sabina is one of the strongest known. She requires Eli, Austin and Ethan to ground and support her.
I loved the characters and felt transported into the world as was so descriptive.
It was a little slower plot wise but felt alot like setting up the world we were taken too. As there is to be future books that tends to be a good thing.
All in all I loved the book and would recommend to other readers to try that doesn't mind a woman having multiple men. I can't wait for August and Moon Child to be released!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 July 2020Serena Akeroyd has done it again. This book makes you laugh, cry, ache and bleed with the characters. Sabina has been turned into a werewolf somehow and thankfully two others recognise what she's becoming and support her change from human to wolf. She is so powerful that she's been gifted not one but three mates, all with their own drama, trials and tribulations.
I loved that Sabina finally got relief after suffering from Fibromyalgia for years turning from pained human to healed wolf. I loved the twins Ethan and Austin are the same in looks but different yet complimentary in personality. I like the alpha Eli was strong and determined to make change. Its a great book. I look forward to reading the next book!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2020I'm not too sure what to say about this one. I enjoyed the story but it was too wordy if that makes any sense?! Too much inner dialect, I ended up skipping pages and pages, getting a bit bored. I do want to read the next but am hoping there's more interaction with the whole pack.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 July 2020I love PNR books and I really liked this one. The only criticism I have is that it could be a bit waffley and I ended up skipping quite a bit of it. There would be pages and pages between dialogue and I zoned out a little if I'm honest.
However, I loved the main characters and the concept of the book. I'm looking forward to book 2 despite my criticisms of book 1!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 August 2020Serena hasn't disappointed, what a amazing book!
I love how the Characters are described so well it felt like you wanted to hug them, especially the twins!
One point I will make, I have severe fibromyalgia and the way Serena portrays her pain and tiredness is spot on!! I think the only thing I would of added is when when was asked what is wrong with her, she just said she had a illness. I think it she had of explained why they would of understood more.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2020After only just finding Serena I was more than excited to jump right in and get going......my my I was not disappointed!
This book had everything you’re looking for - drama, emotion, sassy h....the works!
You can relate to the story as she links the two worlds together i.e having fibromyalgia that leaves her feeling broken until she becomes the wolf.
I can’t wait to read more from this woman, but this was a great first step into the authors world!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular
Dear Serena,
You did it again. I am so amazed with your wonderful mind, your amazing stories and your awesome characters and world building. I love wolf shifter stories and this one hit the spot. 3 amazing and hot alpha brothers as Sabina's mates? Yum. They have the right amounts of sexiness, seriousness and playfulness. Sabrina's life pre-wolf child hurts my soul and I'm so happy for her new found love and bad ass omega she is and will be.
I'm totally eager for Moon Child, whether it be from Sabina's POV or Lara's, I know it will kick butt just like this did. And you know I already pre-ordered that!!
This totally blew me away 💙 I love wolves and I'm so happy you threw out a PNR why choose romance!

5.0 out of 5 stars First book of the Trilogy
Sabina, a human, is working and hiding from her father in a traveling carnival to escape an arranged marriage. She is attacked and her throat is bitten in the dark behind one of the tents. She is rescued by twin brothers, Ethan and Austin, who are wolf shifters. They bring her to their pack alpha, Eli, who recognizes she is his omega. Each of the men feels the connection to Sabina as their fated mate. Their pack is in turmoil after the death of the old omega and Sabina's arrival brings about changes for the whole community. She accepts the challenges of her new abilities as omega, to anchor the men to her in a mate bond and to help heal her new pack. There will be obstacles to overcome as some of the old traditions need to be thrown out to bring the pack to a better life. Read this first book in the trilogy to find out more. You'll never regret reading anything by Serena Akeroyd!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read
Loved it! A LOT of steam, like 50% of the book is steam I swear lol. I especially loved that the FMC isn't the typical skinny white girl (she's Romany). Characters are around 30 years old, including FMC which was a nice change from teenagers. I'm very interested about where books 2 and 3 will take things!
TW/CW for infant loss (in the past)

Holy He$$ this story was good but I knew this girl was the real deal to me when she mentioned Popeyes!!! Yes man, we have 3 hot sexy alpha wolves who love and adore their Omega!!! I was kinda worried bc we were going camping and we pulled off at Wal-Mart and got some last minute stuff and I downloaded the book after finishing the sample. I Never do that! I always research and read the reviews but if you've ever went camping in the sticks then you know you need a good book! Anyway, I get to campsite and get a text that I just bought a 4.99 book, say what?!?! Honey, I was really mad at myself bc the total carp that I have been reading out there for 3.99!!! Any who, this supernatural, wolf, gypsy romance is so good! I was really worried that the author would rush the bonding phase but she didn't!!!!! Eeekk! All 3 sexy men had their own time and way w my Sabina! Yes, her and I our bffs and go out for drinks! Sabina, my new buff, had guts, pain, sorrow, compassion, warmth, insight, strength, sexiness and power!!! I heart her!!! Every character in this story has a place and thoughts and actions and we as a reader feel and sense these characters. The writing and story telling is Phenomenal!!!! Now, I have to wait for the second book! If I would have researched more personally I would have waited till all of them are done simply bc I love to stay in all the feels that each book gives...whenever I have to wait in bn there seems to take a little time for me to get back into that story I was fully immersed into! I want to be a shifter and live like these wolves, that's how good this author is girlfriends!!!! I heart you like a Popeye`s chicken sandwich!!!!! If you've ever had Popeye`s then you know what I'm talking about ladies!!! After reading this, I am so glad I paid 4.99 bc it was so worth it and I can not wait to read the second book!!!!! Please hurry up with it and put us out of our misery! I love you and peace love and hairgrease!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A tale of love and hate
Sabina and her mates as she knew them were one of a twisted fate. Of a love that would not be broken. A love that would start a new world for this pack of shifters.
I loved the way that this story started. The way that Sabina was found by two of her mates. All of the characters played their roles perfectly
The plot was awe inspiring as everything twisted and turned.
