This wasn't for me.

I had a hard time buying into this one; three guys who specialise in...idk, some kind of whole life makeover for folks who need to buy in their help to look the part or keep up appearances.

Oh and the business name was International Guy. I tried to suspend disbelief, really I did, but I had a hard time imagining a world where a name like that wouldn't incite international derision.

I'm sure that's just me.

All three business partners travelled to Paris to makeover a perfume heiress, showing her how to dress and present herself. Hmm. Anyway, professional they were not, all three guys leering over her and the H feeling her up at every opportunity. It just felt icky rather than sexy and erotic to me.

Then he hooks up with a random (in detail) and I'm just not interested in reading anymore. I was hoping for sexy and romantic not this.

I'm sure plenty of others will enjoy this as the writing flowed well, but this was heavy on the erotic and too light on the romantic for me.

Thanks to the publisher via netgalley for the arc.

I received an arc by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I've read Audrey Carlan's "Calendar Girl" series in the past and though I've never made it past book 6 (it became rather tiring and repetitive after that) I had really enjoyed her writting and found the plot lines interesting and original.
So when I saw on NetGalley, that she wrote a similar series, but with 3 guys on the job, I though it would be equally fun to read them.
Boy, was I wrong! I don't know what happened, but this story is full of tropes, cliche after cliche, cheesy dialogues and a plot so unbelievable, that my eyes must have reached my brain several times, while I was reading it.
So, NO. I won't be reading the next two books, that I received as a package from NetGalley. I can only torture myself so much.
I'm sorry that I didn't like it but I can't recommend this book to my friends or rate it higher.

This book is different, I can say that much. I wanted to love it but I couldn't.

It's written entirely from the perspective of the male lead. I don't think I've seen that before. I can absolutely see why people love it but it didn't work for me. I tried valiantly to get through this one. For 6 weeks, I took breaks, read other books, came back to it after a couple glasses of wine, but the guy was a dog.

My skin crawled the whole time I attempted to read this. While I'm sure it's an issue with me, more so than the book/ author Parkers character felt more like a creep, a predator than a potential book boyfriend.

I pushed my way through to 60% hoping things would get better but it didn't and I'm done.

I can't finish this. I'm 17% in. It's just too crude. Three guys with annoyingly large ego's think they know enough about women that they'll be paid millions to straighten them out. I should have stuck with my instinct which was to stop reading after the first paragraph. "I love women. Young. Old. Tall or short. From the nerdy, bookish types to the sultry bombshells - I'm not picky. Give me thin lengthy figures or curvy with something to grab on to … name it and I've touched it, talked to it, kissed, and fucked all varieties." If that wasn't enough, this was the last straw, about 17% of the way in... " "With previous clients, I didn't have the desire to sink balls deep until they scream out my name." Sorry, but this isn't a romance.

Great start to a series

This is interesting, three guys work together to help women succeed in business, love, whatever to be their best selves. They made a very lucrative business out of this. It doesn't hurt that the guys are all gorgeous.

They travel to Paris to help out a young French heiress, Sophie, take her place in the company she inherited.

I love the creativeness of authors!

I...did not love this. I read Audrey Carlan's "Calendar Girl" series a while back and enjoyed it, so I decided I would read this as well. I don't know if it's because of the male point-of-view, or because I've read so many other romance books between Calendar Girl and this...but I just couldn't enjoy this. The MC, Parker, was so inappropriate that most of the things he was doing would be considered sexual harassment in normal circumstances, but it was made to be OK here. It just made me super uncomfortable.

I stumbled upon these books on my kindle and my sister always talks about how good this author is so I decided I’d give this series a shot and I’m glad I did. I’ve only just begun with Paris but I’m already obsessed.

Sophie is struggling, after being left the business to take care of she knows she needs help, she hasn’t been trained and doesn’t know what to do so she calls in help. What she doesn’t expect is the kind of help she gets from the men that come her way.

Parker is so swoony, he’s handsome and knows it. He loves and respects all women and has a need to show each women their true greatness when they don’t see it for themselves. His company is there for exactly that.

There’s an instant click when these meet and being able to see this bond between them grows amazing. I absolutely adored watching it.

I can’t wait to see what comes from the next book, it’s going to be interesting that’s for sure.

What a great start to this Series. Just when you do not think Audrey Carlan can do it again.... SHE DOES...

In Paris we are being introduced to what I would say is the DREAM TEAM... We have 3 very smooth and swoon worthy men who are International Guy, Inc... Can I please hire them? How could you turn away these glorious men who will turn your life around in all of the best ways possible.. Need confidence, style, love or just overall guidance... DONE..

Their job in Paris is with Sophie Rolland who needs help running her own successful company. She is definitely beautiful, but lacks confidence and really initially the drive she needs to succeed.. Can these guys turn it around for her? It was so amazing to watch Sophie flourish and gain what she needed.. She and Parker also share a special bond that neither are overly familiar with, however, it appears to be just what the other needed.. Through trials and tribulations they complete their job and are ready to move on.

Do not miss this fun and sexy story. You can expect a few laugh out loud moments which is always nice. I cannot wait to read further and get to know more about Parker, Bo and Royce....

As I have read the "Calendar Girl" series by the same author (and enjoyed it) I had hopes that this series would give me the same feelings.

Sadly, the first book havent done that for me, even though I like the premise.

I still have the next 8 books, so I am hoping to get the same magic, as I did with CG :)

Sexy, flirty, fun and SO creative! It's awesome to see things favoring a hero's POV. Like a "Bold Type," only what would happen if we all got to be a fly on the wall with the guys instead. Such a fun read!

This one is weird. Not even sure why I finished it. I'd heard good things about Carlan's work, but I'm mightily disappointed.

It started out with promise. Three college friends -- Parker, Royce, and Bogart -- co-own a company called International Guy. It's a lame moniker for a cool business. Each guy has a special skill set and together they do life makeovers, improving people's businesses, their self-confidence, and/or their social lives. They're Hitch-plus-Queer-Eye-plus-business-coach.

In this installment, they head to Paris to work with a young woman who recently took over the helm of a large corporation after the death of her father. Sophie's sharp and eager, but mousy and untried. The IG team does what they do: the money guy goes through the financials and helps her spot potential problems, and the style guy fills her closet with designer labels, and the third guy (Parker) takes her to bed. What?

Parker essentially thinks with his wiener. It's like his compass: it points; he follows. Upon meeting Sophie for the first time, his divining rod perks up so he begins to seduce her. Yet, he's not a suave, sophisticated gentleman. He's supposed to be 29 years old, but he has the manners and the vocabulary of a teenage frat wannabe. There's also a lot of weird language used in the sexy scenes.

And then -- spoiler alert -- they don't even fall in love! They bang for a couple weeks while the other guys work on her style and her business, and then they go their separate ways! And based on the blurbs of the other books, that's the way it continues. In each book, Parker bangs another woman to higher self-esteem and then leaves her behind.

International Guy by Audrey Carlan is a series of 12 novellas all set in the world of Parker and his friends.
Parker Ellis and his best friends Bo - Bogart and Roy- Royce are the owner of International Guy Inc., a unique company. They´re called Dreammaker, Lovemaker and Moneymaker with reason. And their first story leads to Paris.
Sophie is a the heiress of a perfume empire and she needs a little help in some departements. And Parker and the other men are too happy to help her gain confidence and self-esteem.
International Guy : Paris is a witty and fun novella, the perfect summer read. The characters are great and I love the writing and the story. I give 4 sweet stars.

Parker Ellis, the owner along with his two buddies Bo and Roy help woman around the world find their groove, strength and themselves. What they do is unorthodox but heck it works.

Bo is the fashion guru, he can turn any woman into a sex kitten with just the right clothing, hair, make-up and sexy shoe. Royce is the finance guru. he leaves no rock unturned and makes sure good and bad finances are uncovered. Together the three men are a powerhouse.

Paris: Book 1

In Paris we are introduced to Sophie Rolland, the perfume heiress to the Rolland Group. When the men first meet Sophie she is a soft spoken, timid in nature and an average dresser. After the unexpected death of her father, Sophie has been left to run Rolland Group. Running Rolland Group has always been Sophie's dream. She never dreamed of having to run an empire with such little experience. That is why Sophie took it upon herself to call for help from Parker, Bo and Royce. ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review

I have not read any of Ms Carlan's books in the past, however I have heard good things about her so I decided to give her International Guy series a go.

I am still a bit confused what to call these guys. Motivational guys? Makeovers? Mah, whatever they are, I did enjoy IG: Paris.

I liked that our leading lady didn't whimper and simper, she just needed guidance.

I do like Parker, Bo and Royce, though I wish we had gotten more of Bo and Royce - perhaps they are later on in the series

There is instant spark between Parker and Sophie, and things do heat up pretty quickly between them - though I did feel that Parker is pretty unprofessional the way he hits on his clients right away - but maybe this is just me.

IG Paris is a sexy Parisian romp, and I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.

These books are about Parker Ellis who is a part of International Guy, an organisation that helps people to find themselves or to be a better version of the person they currently are, an identity refiner is how I see it.

International Guy: Paris

This one was insanely fun to read because I was not sure what to expect. I enjoyed Parker’s interactions with his brothers as well as Sophie. I though each book would be about a different brother so I got really confused at the end of this book but I really like Sophie and Parker’s chemistry with each other. Sophie wants to be CEO but she needs help to get her image just right, hence the entrance of Parker Ellis who is a part of International Guy. This story is sweet and short, but it works well.

PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME.

Not the book for me. I have read other books by Audrey Carlan but this was from far my least favorite, well it was the one I didn't like. The main characters, Parker and Sophie are boring and not interesting. Parker is a know-it-all and Sophie is a shy, little girl that just needs a change of clothes and style to become a confidant woman. Really? In a matter of what? Less than a week? This makes women feel that it is all it takes for women to solve years of insecurity and self-doubt. Not for me at all.

I'm bummed that this book did not work for me. I've read other books by this author and loved them. I could not stand the MC of this story. He and his friends owned a company that helped businesses, but he was entirely unprofessional in his interactions with his client. It bothered me so much, I couldn't continue reading any longer.

Paris is a sizzlingly HOT and empowering start to the International Guy serial!

Parker Ellis…fits his title of Dream Maker, and it’s not just because of his prowess in the bedroom. He truly sees what a woman needs, and in this case, Sophie Rolland, the perfume heiress and grieving daughter. With his chosen brothers and team, they enhanced what she already had and encouraged her when it came to business practices.

Sophie Rolland…bloomed from a shy, plain Jane into the gorgeous, tough, and caring business woman she was underneath. She made the smart decision to hire Parker and the rest of the International Guy team, in my opinion. What could a young woman do when suddenly faced with the responsibility of running a huge perfume company while still grieving the loss of her father?

One thing I want to make clear about this story. In my opinion, Parker, Bo, and Royce did not change Sophie or give her anything but guidance, tips, and encouragement. They did not change her. They showed her the woman she was underneath all the uncertainty and shyness and helped her show that to the world as well as the people in the company she now runs.

Audrey Carlan always packs sizzling heat and impactful lessons in her books, and International Guy is no exception. BUT. She unbelievably keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to see what other journeys and adventures she takes us on with the IG team!

I hadn't read any of this author's previous books before I decided to pick this one up. I figured since I have been on a romance kick lately that I would give it a whirl. I can honestly say I am not wowed by this author.

I am not trying to put down this author or say she isn't a good writer. I have now only read one book of hers, but I will say there wasn't anything overly impressive about her writing of this short story. Maybe that is the issue? It's a novella of a story that could have been a great story had it been a full length book.

This is one of the books that is over as soon as it starts. I was left feeling a little ripped off in the meats and potatoes section of this book. There is no real character building or chemistry with these characters. I am not a fan of books that are all about the sex with a little bit of plot. That is what this felt like. For me, that isn't romance.

If someone is looking for a quick sexy read that won't require any real thought process or emotions, this is definitely a book they should read. (I know that sounds mean, but I am not meaning for it to.) Sometimes, we all could use a book that we can breeze through that won't overwhelm us with emotions... This is most certainly one of those books.

Audrey Carlan from the very beginning introduces us to her face, Parker Ellis. who with his companions Bo and Royce run the famous company Intenational Guy, a company that assists in all personal and professional problems.

In this new story Audrey makes us sigh for each of the 3 guys that are presented (I say Bo is my favorite), the 3 have an incredible chemistry in the workplace and out of it.

In this book Parker and his friends embark on the city of paris to help the famous performer company that is now is led by the incredible Sophie.

In this book we can accompany the character of Parker and his companions going to help beautiful sophie in their business, the growth of sophie as a person grew and I was as proud of her as her growth in business was simply wonderful! She has become the powerful woman she was born to be, this book has so much passion that it engages the characters, hot scenes to leave you breathless and so many learning how to believe in yourself!

Audrey carlan managed to arrest me from beginning to end, making me sigh at every chapter!

This new series has a lot of promise. I enjoyed book one, where the guys go to Paris and help Sophie transform and prepare herself to take over her dad's business. Paris is the city of love, and there is romance stirring between Sophie and one of the guys, Parker. But it sounds like the other two guys are quite the catch as well. It all ends well and on to the next assignment.

I'm curious to see as the series goes on, if it will solely focus on Parker or some books about his partners. For now it feels like an adventure, and I'm ready to be taken along to each destination.
