    This is the amazing conclusion for Sebastian and Penny. I started off with a broken heart for Sebastian, so much loss at one time, I just hurt for him. I then started to dislike him and his drive to punish and hurt Penny when really we all knew how much he loved her. And I ended up loving him again when it all came right again!
    Penny was in so much pain you just couldn’t help but adore her! She tried and tried but nothing seemed to work so her only course of action was to move away and I supported her every step even though is was heartbreaking.
    The twists and turns of finding who was out to get them was interesting and intriguing.
    I love this book as much as the 1st, if not more and I would highly recommend it!

    Sebastian’s world has just been rocked with the news that his father has passed away making him King Consort. As well as the news that Penny knew who he was all along. Feeling lied and betrayed he focuses on getting home, supporting his mother and learning how to become King.

    Returning to the Winston Isles and her role as a Royal Guard Penny is unsure about the whispers that she is hearing from others. Do they know about her and Sebastian? Did Robert (her ex) tell everyone? Attempting to navigate her position is made harder by Sebastian who is still angry with her and toying with her emotions blowing hot and cold. Feeling as though she’s better to leave and pursue her painting she heads to the palace to say goodbye, however, Prince Ashton grabs her and attempts to abuse her.

    Fleeing to New York she hopes that painting will bring her the joy she usually feels from it. Staying with Lucas she hides from Sebastian until he appears on the doorstep hoping to win her back. But are they able to move on from everything that has happened? Has the threat to Sebastian’s life gone?

    This was a great conclusion to Cheeky Royal. I loved that Nana Malone threw in some angst, a bit of attitude and a sprinkling of suspense. Plus, all the revelations were great, and Penelope really grew as a character. And I enjoyed the new dynamic between her and Sebastian, and how the relationship they shared really changed. I also loved the moments of sweetness, heat and humour this story offered. Not to mention I was easily hooked throughout. And I can't wait to dive into Lucas's story and find out how he adapts to life as a royal prince.

    I would happily recommend this Royal Undercovers duet to others.

    Part 2 and I’m afraid I’m even more disappointed now because it wasn’t as good as the first one.
    The pacing felt a bit off and the changing of scenes abrupt in more than one occasions. There were times I felt like reading a draft or a beta version of the book. There were definitely editing issues here.
    There wasn’t much communication between the MCs and none of their behaviours made sense to me. Penny annoyed me cause she couldn’t stand her ground and stick to her decision and also let Seb treat her like %#$<&@. Seb was being horrible, he knew it but didn’t bother to change it.
    Also, it seemed everyone had an opinion about Seb’s behaviour, and Penny’s decisions, and wasn’t afraid to share it. Without being asked to!
    Finally, the resolution was disappointing, both for the suspense part of the story and for the HEA.
    I don’t think I’ll try the next ones in the series.

    Cheeky King

    This is the follow on to Cheeky Royal, and it’s fantastic. Whereas Cheeky Royal was more about the couple, Sebastian and Penelope, hiding who they truly were and falling for each other, Cheeky King is them trying to stay away from each other, Penelope is trying to do her job and protect the king, but Sebastian isn’t making it easy, his hurt is evident, and he lashes out at every turn. But neither of them can resist their chemistry and the sexual tension. Add in the suspense and the whodunit feel and it makes for a truly addictive story. It still had laugh out loud moments and the grovelling was done to perfection. You’ll note from my review of Cheeky Royal that I wanted a book for a certain couple, and now know why that won’t be happening. I was both saddened and happy about it. I still vote for a Michael story.

    Andi Arndt and Shane East perform this book and do a fabulous job. The issues I had with Cheeky Royal still existed, but I think I became accustomed to it as it didn’t feel as noticeable or jarring. Which is always a bonus. Shane and Andi really do work so well together.

    Fun, suspenseful and dramatic, mixed in with some humor, this series starter was enjoyable. The only thing I dislike is when one story spans across two books, which is what I believe each story in this series does. So that’s a bummer for me. Otherwise, it was a good read.
