    When Damon Christakos learns that someone has been living in one of his model homes, he decides to help. Offering Katy Nichols a job is no problem, but working alongside each other is proving to be difficult, especially when they have such powerful chemistry. Will Damon be able to convince Katy to take a chance on him, or will she walk away because it isn't easy for her to trust after all that she's been through in her past?

    This was such a fascinating and wonderful read that I loved right from the start, as the heroine would do anything for her daughter, even if it means doing something that could get her into trouble. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine met that had me really enjoying this story, as there's plenty of chemistry between Damon and Katy and I liked that he's willing to help her because she's never had anyone to do something so nice for her in a long time.

    As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, especially that of the heroine because it's only ever been her and her daughter since she was six months pregnant with her little girl and was kicked out of home by her ultra-conservative parents. Will Katy ever be able to trust someone again? Moreover, the heroine is resilient, courageous and has done everything she can to survive and make a good life for her daughter, even though she hasn't had it easy. I also liked that she gave the hero a chance, even knowing that things could blow up in her face if she's not careful.

    While the hero, he's confident, hard-working loyal, honourable and I liked how determined he was to help the heroine and win her over. She's the best woman to come into his life and I liked that he proved how good of a man he is over and over again. Then again, his family doesn't make it easy for Katy not to be around because they're all so welcoming and see her as family, which had me smiling because she hasn't been a part of a family in so long. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is the growing bond he had with the heroine's daughter and that he would do anything to make her life full of happiness.

    Overall, Ms. Norman has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance delightful; and the ending had me sympathizing with the heroine because how can she trust the hero after what she learns. However, I liked that she was willing to give their relationship the chance it deserved because he's good for her just as much as she's good for him. I would recommend Impact by Danielle Norman, if you enjoy the opposites attract trope, boss-employee romances; or books by authors Lani Lynn Vale, Bella Jewel, Clarissa Wild and Lucy Score.

    A great storyline. I am slowly going through this whole series again which I read on my Kindle years ago. I have had to re buy them but so far worth every penny. This is Damon and Katy’s story. Loved it. She was squatting in a housing development show house, on the run for 9 years frightened they would take her daughter from her as she cant afford rental accommodation. Hilarious in parts especially the bit where she is with Damon’s family who are hosting a birthday party for her daughter Bee and Katy is asked to say a prayer before the meal, what the little girl says is hilarious! Quite a shock reveal/twist towards the end.

    Once I started reading I honestly couldn’t stop. This book had everything. Family, Love, Romance. And humour, my favourite part was when Bee asked mom to say the god’s prayer. Read it and you’ll understand. Too funny. All I can say is Thank you Danielle Norman for a great read.

    Katy and Bee have been living rough for years. They spend some of that in shelters and model homes. My heart broke for them, but they are strong, honest and flexible and willing to keep doing this until they have money saved to rent. Damon overhears their conversations on a surveillance recording and decides to help them in any way he can.
    Katy gets a job as his PA and is brilliant at her job. There time spent together leads to romance. Bee grows and flourishes with the love of the Christakos family now in her life.

    I really enjoyed this third book in the Iron Orchids series. The theme of family is really strong in Impact, but the humor, love, and The Gang #notagang are all here in the excellent writing I loved in the first two books. The only thing stopping me from giving this five stars was the crazy surprise toward the end of the book. No spoilers but I felt like it came out of left field and would have liked a bit more backstory.
    Damon is my favorite Christakos family member so far. He's sexy, kind, extremely caring, and has carpenter's hands, one of my personal favorite attributes on a man. He's also strong and quite literally sweeps Katy off her feet. Katy is snarky and has a damaged heart, but she also has so much love to give. I loved these two together and I especially like them as parents for Bee. Bee steals your heart in this book. I adored the ending and cheered for all of them.
    If you enjoyed either of the first two books in the series you won't want to miss this one. It's also a stand alone novel so you don't need to have read them in order to enjoy this book.
    I can't wait to get my hands on more of Danielle's words!
