    After reading Cheeky Royal I wondered how I would feel reading this finale but I didn't need to worry. Yes, there is bad feelings between Sebastian & Penny & while I did find that it just seemed to go on for too long in that vein, this story provides a satisfying conclusion to their story. I continue to love the stories that this author is putting out & I can't see that changing any time soon

    Love is not the issue with Sebastian and Penny, the emotions and chemistry between them are palpable but due to lies and misunderstandings theirs is now a battle of wills.

    I swear there were so many times when I wanted to bash their heads together! If one of them was blowing hot, the other was blowing cold, and vice versa. In the end I looked forward to their clashes. They weren’t always comfortable but they were definitely entertaining.

    The suspense element kept its momentum until its conclusion. Cheeky King was a fitting final instalment to Sebastian and Penny’s story.

    I enjoyed book 1 but hated the unexpected cliffhanger. In this book, I ended up disliking both Sebastian and Penny, but especially Sebastian. There was no caring, no tenderness, just lust and selfishness. And the plot was completely lacking in credibilty. Once they suspected the king was murdered, there should have been far more care taken into the investigation, but no - it simply stopped when they found one culprit, despite several clues to the contrary. And the last couple of chapters were so poorly written - the incident in the window, for example. How was Penny stuck? Which way was she facing? How did Sebastian help her when he started off with her legs and ended up with her hands? Did he go inside? If so, how did he get in given all the doors were alarmed?? Then the wedding, when the ladies went to find their seats but Penny, and therefore the ladies, were still a 10 minute ride from the cathedral. It felt as though the last few chapters were written in 5 minutes and not edited at all.

    And don't get me started about the epilogue that was actually a teaser and did not have Penny or Sebastian in it at all.

    This is the amazing conclusion for Sebastian and Penny. I started off with a broken heart for Sebastian, so much loss at one time, I just hurt for him. I then started to dislike him and his drive to punish and hurt Penny when really we all knew how much he loved her. And I ended up loving him again when it all came right again!
    Penny was in so much pain you just couldn’t help but adore her! She tried and tried but nothing seemed to work so her only course of action was to move away and I supported her every step even though is was heartbreaking.
    The twists and turns of finding who was out to get them was interesting and intriguing.
    I love this book as much as the 1st, if not more and I would highly recommend it!
