    JUST WOW. Secrets is such a phenomenal read. From start to finish it takes you on one heck of a ride that you do not want to get off of. I love all the twist and turns all the way through. Seriously if you love suspense/thriller reads then this is one that NEEDS TO BE READ. Emily is so strong and a badass assassin when it comes down to it. Whether it be any gun in her hands, knife or hand to hand she is one tough cookie groomed by the best. You sure wont want to tango with her in a back alley. One thing is for sure you will love her and the secrets as everything unfolds. This is a mind blowing ride filled with secrets that will keep you guessing until the end. I know a big SECRET and I can't wait for the rest of the book world to find out. So if you want to know some secrets then PICK UP SECRETS and hang on. This is Mikey Lee's best work to date and I sure can't wait to see what he has in stored next.

    I could not put this book down! From start to finish it had me hooked. The suspense and action leave you thirsty for more. I love that the main character Emily is a strong independent woman and is such a badass! This book is like no other book that Mikey has written. There is a big secret that you do not want to miss out on ESPECIALLY if you know Mikey's work! I highly recommend this action packed and full of suspense book. I hope there will be more to come because this certainly left me wanting more!!!

    I don’t know whether to be frustrated at the plot and characters or love it all! The twists and turns, the bad assery of Emily, the Sara deal, all of it makes me a little anxious and mad at everyone for Emily. I love strong independent women and all their complexities and Emily is definitely that! I love the struggle she has dealing with feelings about her father, her father figure, her boyfriend, and her life.
    Emily - She’s had an interesting upbringing. Kind of born into and molded into the life she lives. Her dad left her for training at a temple in China and never returned. She grew up with him training her in closed hand combat and defense; their relationship wasn’t so much father / daughter as it was trainer / trainee. Through the tough training though, Emily still loved and mourned him. Relationships are hard because of her job. And because of her job, she has some kick ass toys and works out all the time BUT never really develops any close relationships.
    Sgt. Stoltz – He is also one of her trainers and a close friend / colleague of her fathers, stepped in to the role of father after hers was presumed dead. Emily’s training continued when her father disappeared, until she was ready to work on her own and he gave her the contact for her first job.
    Sara – Emily’s contact, they only communicate via computer but they have a friendship of sorts. Their encrypted transmissions are funny, sometimes joking banter between friends, and sometimes not so funny when Sara seems to get angry or frustrated for not being able to get a hold of Emily; implying she’s lost focus on the job or is spending too much time with Ryan.
    Ryan - Emily’s love interest, he’s typical. Kind of bland, I thought, but nice. Normal. A cop trying to piece together the string of murders that continues to pile up on his docket.
    Emily is finally starting to see a way out, a light toward a brighter future with Ryan. What happens next will make you not want to put your kindle down!

    Wow what a story! Action packed from beginning to end. I consumed this story in a day and it was not anything that I was expecting. Emily had been groomed for her role all her life, but just when she dreams of another life, things change and situations change the trajectory of her life forever! Such a genius read!

    “Standalone” novel with a cliffhanger ending? Sounds like sequel to me. Not worth it. Totally unbelievable protagonist and a pathetic and weak plot reveal at the end. Multiple, lengthy descriptions of the woman’s bathroom routine? Perhaps that was the “non-stop action...? Avoid this one folks.
