Ariel, Always Enough (Iron Orchids Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 3,666 ratings

It all started while I was off duty and a scream for help echoed through the night; my cop instincts kicked in.

I raced toward the sound and found a woman lying in a parking lot.
Among the broken glass and blood were vibrant red hair and piercing green eyes. For the first time, my heart skipped a beat.

As a deputy, I see horrid things and then go on with my life. But this time, I couldn’t. I couldn’t get that woman out of my mind.
For three months, I thought of her and wondered how she was doing.
Then one night, while at an LEO fundraiser, I see her, and she was staring back at me.

Ariel has had a tough life, and she has never had a man she could count on—until me.

I want to be that man. But first, I have to convince her that I’m worth a chance at love.

About the Author

Danielle is a Harley riding romance writer. Most days she can be found in jeans, t-shirts, and pearls (she's a lady like that). Danielle writes about men that will open the door for you during the day and throw you against them at night. She loves stories that will make you laugh and fall in love without all of the emotional baggage faced every day in our real lives. And her talent is the ability to tell the difference between a rye, wheat, corn, or potato vodka in just 1 sip, but she prefers a few glasses just to be certain.

I received a copy of this book and I voluntarily leave my review.
This is the 1st book I’ve read and reviewed for Danielle Norman and I couldn’t get enough. This story is about Ariel and Kayson, someone tries to kidnap Ariel during the day and deputy Kayson steps in and foils the attempt and saves Ariel. Kayson and Ariel have instant chemistry which sizzle’s. I loved the storyline, the chemistry and the drama, I was upset when I finished it because I wanted more, I love independent stubborn women who ride Harley’s. I enjoyed this book immensely and I had to read it right to the end, no putting it down for me with this book. I recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

Ariel is feeling damaged and broken and needing a semblance of control back, what she finds is loving friends and a family to call her own after being alone for so long. The journey she takes is full of pain and self doubt but she takes her life back and gains control. The hot cop that manages to steal her heart is a wowza added bonus to steam up your kindle!

This book started my Danielle Norman adventure. I absolutely loved Ariel and Kayson and their story. If there is a book you need to read, make sure this one is added to your list. This book contains chemistry, a band of kick ass women (and men) and a HEA.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delighted by both the story AND especially the very professionally-done, excellent audiobook

I didn't know what to expect from this story - and ended up delighted with the story-telling capabilities of Danielle Norman. The story tells of Ariel (pronounced R-E-L), a young woman from Alabama who was forced to care for her invalid mother, working as a seamstress from home - until her mother died. It begins in Orlando, Florida with Ariel practicing riding her Harley, which she bought after the move...and goes through until just before Christmas of that year (no spoilers here!). This is definitely for adults only, due to its language and sensuality, but encompasses the lives and thoughts, concerns and fears of the two main characters, from their points of view: from highs to lows, excitement to terror - and infused with a great deal of humour all along the way. The story introduces a rich variety of family members and friends, showcasing everyone's personalities in believeable ways. And yes, I have read and listened to it a number of times without losing any enthusiasm. It has become one of my favourite books (and audiobooks).

This was a great book. I loved the ”damsel in distress” yet bad a$$ biker babe in the making. Ariel (pronounces R-E-L) is relatively new to town and is learning to ride a Harley. She’s attacked at the mall and off duty Greek motors cop Kayson is at the right place at the right time. Following them through their ups and downs of a relationship in the making; through in a large Greek family and some off colour friends and you get a story that will have you laughing out loud at parts, cheering for a happy ending, wishing for safety and so on. This book will draw you in between its covers.

I read this whole series quite awhile ago, they were my first Kindle purchases. I love all Danielle Normans books. So much drama, so much detail and great romance so I decided to re-purchase the series and so glad I did, this book was Kayson and Ariel’s story, fraught with danger from the beginning, so many twists and turns. Kayson a Deputy saved Ariel from two thugs in a Mall parking lot. I fully recommend this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A suspenseful romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I actually finished this book about 2 days ago, but I needed some time to figure out what to say that would do this incredible story justice. I still have no idea if I can, but I am definitely going to try.

One thing I loved about this book was the fact that the main female character actually wasn't annoying. I've read some romance novels where the main female is just constantly whiny and solely dependent on the guy, but not this one. In fact, she's reluctant to let the man in. And for good reason.

I also really loved the dynamic of this book. The way it kept me interested from page one and held onto my attention until, the next thing I knew, I was done with the whole thing. I was completely submersed in this story. Captivated. It had me laughing, it had my close to tears, and it had me screaming in frustration and anger. I love how it wasn't really an instant love story too. It was more like instant infatuation. And the story didn't solely revolved around their love story, there was an actual, more suspenseful story behind it as well!

This story was about Ariel (Pronounced R-E-L) who has only had bad experiences with men. Between her father abandoning her and her mother and her only boyfriend who had cheated on her multiple times, her trust in men was shattered. Then, she meets Kayson, a sexy alpha male cop who quickly becomes her hero when he saves her life from two attackers. At first, Ariel is reluctant to let Kayson in. Her experience with men has turned her off to the idea. But Kayson devises a plan that allows him to slowly work his way into her life. Did I mention that Kayson is Greek and has a huge, close-knit family with several brothers and a loving mother and father? As the two of them begin to connect, a sinister plan puts Ariel's life in danger, allowing Kayson to step in and be her knight in shining armor over and over again. And, hopefully, will allow him to worm his way into her heart!

Naturally, this book is recommended for mature audiences. There is a lot of snark and sass along with some very sexy and steamy moments. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the page because you just HAVE to know what's going to happen next. You bond with these characters, you feel what they feel, and you meet some other fun people along the way that makes you hope they will get a story of their own.

Definitely 5 out of 5 stars though I'd give more if I could.

    Review:
I had a hard time getting into this book and to keep focused on it.
It was a nice story but it felt a bit long. It felt like certain things where repeated over and over again. Like Ariel heard something, made assumptions, got scared, ran, they talked and it was a misunderstanding.
While I do understand that because i'm a relationship phobe as well, it did get a bit annoying. Like ariel knows kayson for a bit now but took other peoples drunken words over what she knows about him and that got her in a big mess.

I also had a hard time understanding what was actually happening in the beginning. Lot of terminology where used without explanation. I didn't know if it was police related or MC related. Maybe that's what kept me from connecting with the story.

I did push through because I wanted to see how it turned out. I don't often quit on a book so that kept me going.

Overall it was a bit predictable but not to bad.

I might give book two a chance because the author said it was her favourite.
