Crank (The Gibson Boys Series Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 6,794 ratings

An Amazon Top 3 Bestseller

This is one mistake Sienna Landry can't buy her way out of.

As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she's in trouble. It's not the busted headlight and dented grill that's sunk her though. It's the downright sinful man in front of her that's the problem.

The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline and Sienna isn't sure why that's so sexy, but it is. It so is. She's ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.

He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It's thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she's everything he's ever wanted.

So why won't he give in?

The damage to Walker's truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna's world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won't, maybe even can't, love her back.

Move over Landry's Gibson's are here
WOW ! I loved the Landry Men still do but can I say MOVE OVER Landry's The Gibson Boys are here And making their mark ! I LOVED every second of this book , Sienna is a great character and it's really quite funny how her and walker met , and from there their whole like/hate relationship started but the more they figure each other out , then the chemistry starts. This book has all the feels you could want and it's great how Adriana brings in the family chemistry I love That about her books most that has the families in it , I can't wait to see more of the Gibson Boys every one of them was great in their own way they make you laugh coz they just love getting to each other but their bond is strong and they'd do anything for each other , I was hooked on this from first page .

This book was really good don't get me wrong but having read so many of her this one just lacked...something; it didn't have that unstoppable quality where you find excuses to read when you really should get on with things and the ending just felt a tiny bit too easy. But overall it was a good read and I hope this is a warm up to a great series!

Walker Gibson and Sienna Landry come from two different worlds. Despite their differences, they have similar values.
Throughout the story, I couldn't help but laugh and cry along with them. I love when an author can make me feel like I am a bystander to the story they are telling.
I have read all the Landry books and loved every one. Sienna was always the rebel of the family. The one who wasn't around much and I looked forward to reading more about her.
Walker's story was a good start to the beginning of another series and I am hoping Peck will be given his own story.

A good read that started quite well but had some sluggish moments. Liked the quirkiness of the family and townsfolk and our two main characters. Felt a kick was needed with both of them not fully disclosing everything however they get to where they need to eventually.

I read this series backwards. I read book 2 first and i loved it so much I had to go back and read book 1. Well it didn't disappoint. I love the Gibson family. It has a lot of LOL moments with Peck and Nana, it it has a lot of heart touching moments that wrap you up in chains. There is nothing I don't love about these books. I can't wait to get my hands on Machlans book later this year.

I have a feeling that this is linked to the Landry series that this author does. I have never read that series and never once felt that I was missing out on information.
I enjoyed this book. Definitely didn't love it. The characters, especially Walker, were too two dimensional. I really wish that we got to see more of him. Overall, it's quite a sweet story. Easy simple read.

An unfortunate incident with a baseball bat and a truck called Daisy has Sienna Landrys world spinning on its axis. Walker Gibson is broody, gorgeous and quiet.....I didn’t think anyone could shift my affection from the Landry Boys but by giving us The Gibson Boys, Adriana has managed to do just that. Good hearted banter between the brothers and their cousins and how they look out for Nana warmed my heart.
This is a smashing read from the very first page, you will laugh, cry and also want to smack them all a few times but do yourself a favour......buy a copy of this book if you haven’t already

5.0 out of 5 stars Get CRANKED and fall in love with the Gibson Boys!
Reviewed in the United States on 11 November 2017
Every time I hear about a new release coming from Adriana I get all giddy. I love her books and could not wait to read about Sienna and the Gibson boys in this new book and series. Crank is the story of Sienna Landry and Walker Gibson. If you had read the Landry series, you have met Sienna and her family. Walker Gibson is a small town mechanic. He is broody, moody, and hard to get a read on. Oh an add to that sparkling personality (haha) he is sinful and sexy in all the right way.

I fell in love with these characters and I not surprised in the least bit. I have come to be an instant one click for all things Adriana Locke. This story will grab you from the first chapter and keep you hooked throughout. Not only will you love the main characters Sienna and Walker, but the secondary characters will claim your heart also. I was fully invested in this story and read it in one sitting. This to me signifies a great read. It is one you can’t help but devour and then be sad when it’s over. Thankfully this is book one is the series so we will get lots more of this awesome family and these delicious men. The family dynamic is amazing and I became invested in all of these characters immediately.

This book was packed with emotion, all the feels, and tons of laughs. Locke has a way of drawing out the raw emotions of her characters and it doesn’t matter what the emotion is. She makes you feel it. It was no different with this book. I love that she chose to make the Gibson’s blue collar boys. I love the blue collar reads. I can relate to them more then to gagillionaires. Don’t get me wrong I love those too, but this story seemed more relatable, believable and real to me. You get a small town feel and Locke did an amazing job at giving the reader that feel throughout the book.

I mentioned the secondary characters briefly but I have to speak on one specifically. PECK! This man is life. I adored him. His banter, goofiness, sweetness, just all of him really. I cannot wait for his story!

This book is a must read! I give 5 swoony stars!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Loved It!
Reviewed in Australia on 14 January 2020
This is my first read by this author and let me just say, I absolutely loved this book!!!

This story pulls you in from the get go. The first chapter introduces you to all the important characters i.e. The Gibson brothers - Walker, Lance, Machlan and their cousin Peck, and Sienna Landry and her friend/business partner Delaney. The setting is in the small town of Linton, Illinois.

Sienna is an amazing FMC. She’s strong, independent and wants to live her life her own way. She moves to Linton to escape her overwhelming life in Savannah, Georgia, and to get away from the limelight and cameras her family is constantly under; her father is a politician. She has four brothers (Graham, Barrett, Lincoln and Ford) and a twin sister Camilla that she loves and misses dearly.

Walker is a really great MMcharacter. He’s a gorgeous, quiet and very broody. He has also had a lot to deal with in his past (especially where women are concerned), so getting romantically involved with Sienna was a Big NoNo for him. But Sienna managers to sneaked up on him and before he knows it, he’s falling so fast, there’s no turning back.

This book is sweet and heartwarming, with a great and sexy storyline. It truly has some seriously loveable characters and you will absolutely fall in love with all the Gibson men.

If you’re looking for a small town blue collar romance novel to read that is really well written and very funny, then look no further because this book is for you!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Walker and Sienna

    FMC: Sienna Landry
    MMC: Walker Gibson
    Spice: 🌶️🌶️
    Pages: 294
Tropes: Grumpy/Sunshine, Opposites Attract, Small Town Romance
    Setting: Linton, Illinois

Thoughts: I liked this book, it may not have been one of my favorites, but it was a good, quick read. It was something that I didn’t have much trouble getting into and was pretty lighthearted and easy to read.

After reading the Landry series, I took a break from reading Adriana Locke’s backlist but was exited to dive into the Gibson boys and finally get Sienna’s story. It was a fun read with some good humor and some big secrets. I liked the banter between Sienna and Walker. I loved the introduction to his family and Sienna’s relationship with his brothers and his cousin.

Most of the book was pretty fun, and I really enjoyed it. The only thing that threw me off was the third act conflict. There was a point in the book when I knew exactly what the problem was and I honestly almost quit reading. I felt a little blindsided by it, which I imagine was exactly how it was written to be. I’m glad I didn’t give up because the ending was worth it, but it definitely influenced my rating. I think if I had read this book in 2017 my reaction would have been different, but that’s always the catch 22 with reading an author’s backlist. What was great in 2017 may not be so great in 2025.
