LILITH KILLED IT!!! Her MF standalone are freaking amazing, and this one, i just ate it up!! If you watched House of Dragon, this is kinda smilliarish with some mafia vibes!!!
Zenya is the Mafia princess who loves her "uncle" who has trained and been turned into a bad ass chick who is taking over the family since her father is dying. There chemistry was so good and tense because they can't be together since we'll there family (not blood), but that doesn't stop Uncle Kristian from wanting her. He was banished because of something he did now. He's back because someone is targeting his dandelion, and no one is going to harm her. And boy, when I tell you how protective this man is... you'll be. I want a man like him, lol.
But there is a lot of push away from Zen since she isn't sure why he's back and she doesn't trust him like she used to since he did abandon her. I love them so much, and Kris lord, I want him. I'm fighting everyone for his dirty filthy butt hehe.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore (there was one part he had a stripper near him he was choking you'll see. Nothing ever happens he is 100000% faithful)

I skipped book 1 of this series after finding out the MMC sleeps with the FMC's mother prior to the two getting together and trying to get her pregnant (the mom and him are in an arranged marriage) BUT I was glad to know this particular book did not have any of that stuff in the story and we got a loyal and celibate hero.
This book might not be for everyone as he has always been known as her uncle since she was born despite him not being blood related (he is adopted) it still might weird people out knowing he watched her grow up and basically wanted her since she was 14. He never attempts anything and keeps his desires/feelings to himself. It goes beyond desire though, he sees her as his equal and the only one he has ever loved and will ever love.
When she is 16 he is sent away after her father finds out he took a photo with a stripper depicted her dead step mom's ultimate death (he chocks the stripper, and she has the step moms name on her body) - though nothing else happens with the stripper. He has stayed celibate without even thinking about it when she was around 14 and only realised later on it was because of her.
They are separated for 2 years, and he comes back with revenge on his mind. She is the heir to her father's bratva, and Uncle Kristian wishes to get his hands on the woman he loves who has finally turned 18 and the empire. She finally realizes slowly that she always felt something for him but never could name what it was. Their first sexual interaction was definitely dub con - he saves her during a bad raid, and he is wearing a mask. He demands she thank him for saving her life and wishes to taste her....somehow I think and believe she knew who he was but was in denial.
Her dad is dying of cancer, and we do see him deteriorate throughout the book which was sad to watch especially with all the kids he leaves behind.
There is a breeding kink and birth control manipulation. He attempts to impregnant her each time they are together and of course she ends up pregnant. They are not meant with any animosity when they tell everyone about their relationship. Her siblings are actually happy for her and don't see it as weird as they know he isn't related by blood and even her father approves of it and is glad to know someone who admires/worships her will protect her and be by her side once he is gone.
To be honest there was little side plot about the mafia side and how someone is attempting to either kill her or undermine her. I figured it out for some odd reason it was the step aunt (her step mothers’ sister) and I was right. She had gone mad after what happened to her sister few years before she died (she was gang raped during a home invasion by their enemies) and then she believed Kristian killed her sister.
Overall, this was fun and can be read in one sitting. There is no connection to the previous book and couple so if book 1 isn't for you then you can skip it!

It would’ve been a solid 5 stars read for me, but for 1 dumb thing. I mean what the hell was the author thinking…..

Zenya and "Uncle" Kristian had some MAJOR Rhaenyra and Daemon vibes and I'll be honest...I dug it.
Zenya is next in line to her father's mafia empire and she doesn't shy away from violence, blood, gore, or facing down any and all her enemies. Her father is dying and she is fully prepared to stand at the head of the table. Zenya was one badass woman with no weakness expect one. Her "Uncle" Kristian.
Kristian was exiled from the family for reasons you'll have to read to find out but Zenya was devastated. The one person that connected with her on a soul level and helped her to be the woman she is now has disappeared. But in a moment where she needed him most, he came in like a dark knight.
Kristian is back and is determined to claim what he considers his...Zenya of course.
Zenya is wary of Kristian at first and there is a delicious push and pull between the two of them but Kristian knows his dandelion and what she really needs. With Zenya's enemies closing in and the future unkown, Zenya and Kristian stand together to face down what is to come.
This was DIRTY, violent, a little angsty, suspenseful, and fun to read. I loved Zenya and I loved Kristian's obsessive and possessive personality. I wish he had been a little more alpha outside the bedroom but I understand why he wasn't. He more than made up for it in the bedroom. Overall, a solid and smutty read!

3.8 stars. This is a good age gap taboo read, set in the world of the Bratva.
(The taboo part is that the hero and heroine and uncle and niece. He’s adopted, so they’re not blood related – but she also didn’t know that until she was 11. And even after that, she grew up calling him Uncle. And, her first memories were of him).
The author MUST have been inspired by Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen on the show House of the Dragon. Too many things are similar:
✅ the hero and heroine are uncle and niece, and he’s around 16-18 years older
✅ his brother is the heroine’s dad
✅ her dad’s health is declining
✅ her dad is a powerful king-like figure, and she’s his heir
✅ the hero was banished by his brother, so the heroine didn’t see him for a few years in her teens
✅ he was banished SPECIFICALLY for going out drinking after a death in the family and making light of it. When his brother found out, he got mad and kicked him out
✅ the hero’s purpose in returning from his exile involves taking both his brother’s empire AND his daughter
✅ she’s her dad’s oldest kid
✅ her dad was married twice, and has lots of kids
✅ she and her uncle both have silver hair
✅ she and her uncle speak “the language of the Old Country” to each other when they don’t want people around them to understand them, and it feels like their own intimate private language …
I mean, come on! This isn’t even everything, and it’s too specific to be a coincidence. To be clear, it’s not a bad thing. I like Daemon and Rhaenyra, I was drawn to this book by that vibe. But I didn’t realize it would be THIS strong. It’s funny and a bit unhinged how the author didn’t tweak any details. For example, the characters in this book didn’t need to have silver hair! The author could have made them brunettes rather than give them the distinctive Targaryen silver hair! Especially since contemporary book characters don’t need to have Fantasy Character Hair.
Like, if I was this author, I’d be worried HBO or George RR Martin would make me take the book down. Wouldn’t you NOT want that to happen? Why wouldn’t you try to disguise it even a little?! Make their hair brown! Make him be her uncle on her mom’s side instead of her dad’s! Make the reason for his banishment be different! Anything! This really is a Daemon and Rhaenyra mafia AU fanfic. The show stopped airing just 2 months ago, though, so I’m impressed the author whipped this story up and put it out so fast.

It's an uncle-niece relationship, but they're not blood related since Kristian (36) was adopted. This might be uncomfortable for some, because he realized he wanted Zenya (18) when she was just 14. So he stayed celibate and waited for her to become legal before claiming her. 🫣
There was a separation two years prior because Kristian was banished by his brother when a photo of him being straddled by a stripper circulated in their circle. 😤 This angered his brother because the name of his late wife was written on the stripper's NAKED chest that Kristian was pretending to be choking. His sister-in-law passed away only days ago, and Kristian went to a club to celebrate it. 🥴 Someone took a photo of that moment and spread it without his consent.
Ngl, this scene pissed me off because why would he let some OW who was only wearing a thong sit on his lap when he's so in deep with Zenya?! 😤 He said he was way too drunk and didn't even remember it, not until he saw the photo. It made me think that something worse might've happened if he'd gotten drunk more. 🤧
Anyway, moving past that annoying scene, he did beg his brother not to kick him out because he couldn't imagine staying away from Zenya. But it didn't work, so he had no choice but to follow his order. Before he left, he talked to her and said goodbye. She cried and begged for him not to go, and, idk, maybe he couldn't take it anymore, so Kristian gave her a peck on the lips. 🫣 She didn't even notice it at all because she was crying so hard. Remember, she was just 16 at the time. And it's understandable why this scene might be uncomfortable for some readers knowing Zenya was a minor. 🫣
In the present time, he came back on her 18th birthday to finally claim his niece. 😅 He vowed to never let her go this time and to make her his wife and the mother of his children. 🫣🤭
There's nothing much that really happened here. Most of it was about the domesticity of their lives and Kristian serving as an enforcer. Zenya became the leader of their organization, and her uncle/husband (still so weird 🤣) became her most trusted man.
He was soooo down bad for her, and I'm eating it all up. 🤭 Some might become uneasy with their interactions in the past because, even when she was a minor, he was already treating her differently. But Zenya didn't notice it, or she just didn't give any meaning to it. 😅
Like I said, this might be uncomfortable for some, but I really like their chemistry and tension. Tbh, I even forgot their familial relationship and their age gap because they were just hot together and a perfect fit for each other. 🤣🥵
Overall, I was entertained, and the book kinda made me glad that I gave it a chance. 🙈

Two years ago when Zenya was 16, Kristian disappeared without a word, but now he is back and ready to claim the girl he's been waiting for - with or without the family's approval.
Ohhhh good Lordy, this book was fracking smoking! Kristian is beyond obsessed. Total "touch her and 🔪" vibes, birth control tampering, and other 🚩🚩🚩 that *should* have us running in the other direction, but instead has us lapping it up. Zenya is awesome. A bit cray cray like Kristian, she's a warrior at heart, and is becoming the bad ass boss bitch she was created to be. Their relationship is one of co-dependence, but it somehow manages to taste sweet as pie - especially given how he props her up to be the best she can be as she assumes the mantle of the Bratva. If you're in the mood for revenge, forbidden love, a bit of dubcon, and a good dose of breeding kink, Brutal Conquest will definitely satisfy your cravings!

You know that feeling of being skeptical of a book, but then you are pleasantly surprised how much you love it.? This book right here is what happened to me, I was so ready to judge and jokes on me, I loved it!
I went in for the forbidden VS. Mafia. I am just so picky when it comes to mafia romance. The book isn’t heavy on the mafia aspect. However it didn’t take away from the storyline.
Uncle Kristian alone gets all the stars in the world. Yes he is possessive in the no one gets her, only me and no one will touch her trope. Did I love him for it Hell yeah. And damn he is my kind of a filthy man. He is the whole reason why I loved this book so much.
Zenya is a fierce badass who has seen so much darkness in her world and is strong key protective of her family. People make the mistake of a naive young women. Big mistake, BIG. She is a true mafia princess. Keep silent, hold all your cards, and show them when they least expect it.
They say all good things must come to an end, but honestly I didn’t want this book to end,. Hopefully, we will read cameos of them in other books.

Modern Day House Of Dragons
Normally this type of book wouldn’t necessarily be my cup of tea — H is h’s uncle, and although they’re not blood related because he was adopted into the family, he’s been her uncle the entirety of her life. Also, he starts lusting after her when she’s only 15 and he’s 33. This would usually weird me out. BUT I actually really liked it, probably because I’m a huge fan of House Of Dragons (HBO) and this was basically the same plot (except h and H are in the mafia and of course there are no dragons)
Kristian is Zenya’s uncle through adoption. Her father is the leader of the Russian mafia. Kristian was adopted into the family at a young age, so for the entirety of Zenya’s life, he’s been “uncle Kristian”. In fact, she didn’t even know that he wasn’t her “real” uncle until she was about 11. He even looks like the rest of the family due his silvery blond hair. Something happens when Zenya is 14 years old, which starts Kristian’s obsession with her. He starts lusting after her when she’s 15 (he’s 18 years older than her), but he doesn’t do anything about it. When Zenya is 16, Kristian does something that angers her father and he disinherits Kristian, exiles him, and makes Zenya the heir to his “throne”. Kristian leaves, but comes back when Zenya is 18 to “claim” her. At this time, her dad is very sick, and Kristian plans to get revenge by marrying Zenya and ruling through her (for anyone who’s seen HBO’s House Of Dragons, I’m sure you see that it’s essentially the same plot, with a mafia twist).
I really enjoyed the overall plot and the chemistry between h and H. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a taboo read with lots of steam and a decent plot.

If i gained a penny for every time I’ve listened to a book where the mmc uses his finger to figure out if the fmc is a virgin... id have 2 pennies.

This is the best Uncle/Neice trope I’ve read!👌Or really Any trope like this.
Can I just say how much I absolutely loved this book💕. This is a trope of Uncle and Neice age gap done right! Wow 🤩
Ok Uncle Kristian is 🔥🔥🔥OTT JP amazingness. Book BFF material❤️Sometimes you question his intentions but not for long. It’s clear he is all in for his Zenya and No One else will do.
Zenya is a strong, loyal and a very smart woman. I just loved that she was no doormat and she saw through all the powerful mens intentions-including her Uncle- and took NO crap…..She’s a true Queen 👑 and maybe one of the first FMC I’ve truly totally liked. She has the maturity at a very young age and I can totally see how Uncle K fell for her so young.
Now let’s talk trope…. I personally did NOT find this creepy or even inappropriate. It was very realistic based on their lives and what their experiences. The closeness between them from the start and throughout their lives was SO special and unique and it was a natural progression of the relationship. Uncle K waits till she’s of age to make a move but he has realistic feelings and thoughts that I feel are natural for their special connection.
Uncle K waits for her 💕💕💕 swoon! Yea ladies he’s is 💯 faithful and celibate for years. As it should be. And I LOVED this…. Swoon 😍 gah can it get any better.

This was taboo, and sexy, and wrong, and sexy, and nasty, and sexy, and disgusting, and sexy.. just how I like my books. If a man who gives no fucks about boundaries and crossing lines is not your thing, then please, for the love of all things taboo romance, do NOT read this book. BUT if you love your men dirty, possessive, OTT, jealous, willing to LITERALLY unalive someone for even flirting with you and has a massive br33ding k!nk… then yeah, this book and Uncle Kristian is for you. The absolute obsession this man had with getting Zenya preg.. had me in an absolute chokehold. There are some scenes that I will take with me foreveverrrr, not even kidding. Read the book, just do it.

No disfrutó tanto los age gap pero en ésta ocasión no provocó tantos issues y eso que la diferencia es grande sobre todo por la edad de ella, pero que tuvieran esa relación familiar lo hizo más morboso.🙃
El libro anterior me gustó más por la pareja y es que aquí a veces ella me caía mal y sentía que en muchas ocasiones él se doblegaba ante ella para darle validación pero ella por él nada pero la lectura estuvo buena.

Take life’s rulebook, pour a gallon of gas on it, strike a match, jump back quickly.
A conflagration can be gloriously consumptive or tediously disruptive. This began rather gloriously—Uncle Kristian rode back into town on a white horse with VERY naughty plans—but it lost momentum along the way: the violence was too much too often and devoid of emotional impact, the sex was too much too often and devoid of emotional impact (at least the MMC didn’t EAT the period blood in this novel, that I can recall anyway, but I had my eyes closed so maybe I just missed it), the half-hearted protestations regarding the not-blood familial connection were just plain too often for something that was going to be completely irrelevant. The book stalled and churned like a tropical storm in the lower Atlantic but never became a hurricane. Instead, it petered out in a weak ending with ineffectual villains vanquished.
And the fact that Zenya still called Kristian “Uncle Kristian” and he referred to her as his niece after he’d had sex with her twelve different ways from Sunday was just annoying. Not creepy-taboo like the author intended, but annoying. They had proven they were both adult enough to have moved past that because they were doing very adult things with each other, so just shut up with the “uncle” thing, okay?

Even though Zenya was young, I loved how she took charge and didn’t allow anyone to trample her. I also liked she didn’t let her lady bits rule her decisions. Kristian was sexy in a semi-psycho way. I wished he was more determined in his conquest and gave Zenya a run for her money.
The storyline was straightforward, nonetheless entertaining. Their family members were quite a handful, but I liked their roles in the story even if it was minor. The pseudo-taboo dynamic made sexy scenes feel extra spicy.

Told in dual POV the narrative pace is steady, not much going on plot wise, even the dialogues were devoid of anything substantial, the story is mostly about Kristian’s obsession. Some drama here and there predictable and a tad OTT. Several passages were a repetition of actions and words already spoken, said redundancies slowed down the rhythm, therefore the story often came to a standstill.

Maybe it's crazy for someone, but I LOVE the "you’re f*cking mine" trope 🤩
It's absolutely amazing, intense more than anything else...and Uncle Kristian take that to another level.
A hot crazy level 🥵🥵
The loyalty, the possessiviness, the obsession he showed toward Zenja are unbelievable sexy.
For me, HE IS THE BOOK.
Everything works because of him.
But I appreciated Zenja too.
She is really strong and wise, despite her young age.
Moreover i LOVED their bond.
The mafia part was a bit sacrificed, because the forbidden love story took almost all the place, but it didn’t bother me much.
I have to say, tho, the story lost a bit of its strengh toward the end.

Um wow. I was expecting the acknowledgement of this story being inspired by Daemon × Rhaenyra because this is exactly what it would be like if Daemon × Rhaenyra were in a modern mafia romance.
Before reading the acknowledgment i had the whole list in my mind I'd be mentioning stating the similarities that i loved between the two– down to the character appearances. But now I'll just state what i loved in this story without comparing it to HOTD.
➺ him willing to bend the knee for her. AND kill anyone who refuses to do the same. Accepts her as the rightful heir and doesn't ever undermines her power just because she's a woman. Never once thinks she can't handle gruesome details about the business and actually shares with her these things like an equal. Is more than happy to be her supporter and her being the actual boss.
➺ Her being a mafia boss bitch which is so rare (infact Ruthless People by J.J McAvoy is the only time I've ever encountered one) where she not only isn't averse to violence but actively takes part in it, demands it and has been this way since she was a child.
➺ The moments where we get to know he is actually the one who has always taken her on this wild life and never shielded her from the brutal side of the mafia business. As an example, he gives her a present which she loved. The present was their enemy's eyeballs 💀
➺ Her hunger for revenge runs as deep as his and they are unhinged together. Makes me feel like i came here for the OTT smut and discovered so much more in this masterpiece which had everything i loved but rarely ever see.
➺ this being an age gap where i actually felt like it wasn't an age gap because the heroine wasn't naïve or immature which i often see this in trope. Truly felt like she belongs here and is infact his equal in every sense.
➺ his unhinged pov and his feelings for her, his unabashed lust for her is exactly what i imagined how Daemon must've thought at the time.
➺ Her rescuing HIM near the end and "touch him and die" trope happens instead of the other way around for once.

Gosh, I feel like such a nasty ass bitch for liking this lol😭😭😭 Miss Lilith Vincent sure does know how to toe the line between moral and straight up immoral. Zenya and Kristian were goddamned explosive and had me weak in the knees. Brutal Intentions really wasn't it for me but I actually was pretty excited for Brutal Conquest. Now, I know and I can understand that this book might not be everyone's cup of tea since it's taboo and will really have you question your sanity. I mean, I was honestly at war with myself and quite frankly, baffled that I liked Zenya and Kristian. Oh well, I'm not gonna overthink it tho. If I wasn't already sure that I'm going to hell to pay for my sins, I'm sure of that fact now after reading this book lmao😂✌🏻 Lilith has been a hit or a miss author for me so far - mostly miss since I didn't like BI nor the PIB series - but I'm glad that this wasn't a miss along with the Pageant duet as well. Miss Vincent has some really great ideas but sometimes things just go wrong while executing those ideas. Nonetheless, I like her writing style and look forward to reading more of her work🥰

How is this book in the same series as Brutal Intentions? Brutal Intentions is a freaking fairy tale compared to this one.
I don't know if you'd rather go in blind, so I'll tag it a spoiler, but I think it would have been better for me to know.
The FMC reencounters the MMC, her non-blood related uncle for the first time in two years. Obviously, that's the forbidden part of the forbidden, age-gap romance.
What this book did that the other didn't was truly dive into the forbidden aspect, as well as having more graphic violence.
Zenya grew up seeing Kristian as her uncle.
Kristian treats Zenya as a niece, a favorite one sure, but a niece.
Until an incident at a certain age when Kristian is thrown in for a loop. Even he doesn't understand what is happening until one day he realizes he's falling in love with his niece. Because Kristian is unhinged, he doesn't fight it.
Another incident when Zenya is 16, has him vanished by his older brother (head of family and Zenya's father). He stays away for two years but a day after she turns 18, he is back.
What is a bit strange (given that Zenya is only 18) is the fact that she is the voice of reason for most of the book. She is a badass but very compassionate towards those she loves. She is cool-headed and a bit unhinged herself. I don't dislike this. It was a great balance of mature, but flawed character. What I disliked was we didn't get to see her become that. By the time the book starts she is already done all her growth and stay the same 'til the end.
Kristian, on the other hand, starts the book with the mental age of 18 and ends it with his own. When he comes back he's still as reckless and impulsive as he was before he left. He's smart but doesn't focus his potential. Even after working to form his own loyal crew, he's wasting his mental energy to get revenge on a dying brother. Throughout the book, his loves tampers his recklessness and gives him a clear objective. Though the unhinged part we love about him stays the same. I don't know if you'd rather go in blind, so I'll tag it a spoiler, but I think it would have been better for me to know.
The FMC reencounters the MMC, her non-blood related uncle for the first time in two years. Obviously, that's the forbidden part of the forbidden, age-gap romance.
What this book did that the other didn't was truly dive into the forbidden aspect, as well as having more graphic violence.
Zenya grew up seeing Kristian as her uncle.
Kristian treats Zenya as a niece, a favorite one sure, but a niece.
Until an incident at a certain age when Kristian is thrown in for a loop. Even he doesn't understand what is happening until one day he realizes he's falling in love with his niece. Because Kristian is unhinged, he doesn't fight it.
Another incident when Zenya is 16, has him vanished by his older brother (head of family and Zenya's father). He stays away for two years but a day after she turns 18, he is back.
What is a bit strange (given that Zenya is only 18) is the fact that she is the voice of reason for most of the book. She is a badass but very compassionate towards those she loves. She is cool-headed and a bit unhinged herself. I don't dislike this. It was a great balance of mature, but flawed character. What I disliked was we didn't get to see her become that. By the time the book starts she is already done all her growth and stay the same 'til the end.
Kristian, on the other hand, starts the book with the mental age of 18 and ends it with his own. When he comes back he's still as reckless and impulsive as he was before he left. He's smart but doesn't focus his potential. Even after working to form his own loyal crew, he's wasting his mental energy to get revenge on a dying brother. Throughout the book, his loves tampers his recklessness and gives him a clear objective. Though the unhinged part we love about him stays the same. Clear character growth in a steamy forbidden, age-gap romance? Yes, people. These are great times we are living in.
