Stumbling Into Love (Fluke My Life Book 2) Kindle Edition
From a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author comes an unexpected romance about trying to resist the irresistible…
Mackenzie Reed has officially been stood up. Not only has she wasted two years on Mr. So Not Interested but now she doesn’t even have pizza and the Mets to keep her company. Then he walks into her life—more than six feet of rugged, hot stranger. Maybe, just for tonight, Mac can pretend to be a girl she’s not. After all, she deserves a little no-strings fun…
As far as Wesley Porter is concerned, one night with Mackenzie isn’t nearly enough. She’s a mystery he wants to solve—if he can keep her from running for the door every time they touch. There’s obviously some serious chemistry between them, so why is she fighting it?
As one sexy hookup turns into another (and another), Wesley is determined to prove they were made for each other. But Mac has been hurt before, and she refuses to fall for this sexy, ridiculously perfect guy. In fact, she has every intention of fighting it…unless he can convince her otherwise.

Stumbling into Love follows Mackenzie, Fawn's sister, and Wesley, Levi's partner. I was wondering about those two ever since that Thanksgiving dinner in Running into Love where it was obvious those two already knew each other. I was curious about how these two met and what has happened between them.
It was actually really cute how these two met. Mackenzie has decided to go on a date after finally giving up on the guy she has had crush on for the last 2 years and the guy stood her up. Then in all his glory enters Wesley and the rest is history! Okay, that's not completely true... They have bit of back and forth going on but once they overcome their differences, then there's nothing that can keep them apart. I loved both of the main characters, but I especially loved Wesley. I love his dirty mouth, his ability to go after what he wants and his big penis (as Wesley kindly reminded us)!
Fawn and Wesley, as well as the rest of Mackenzie's family, make an appearance, which of course brings in a lot of mischief. We are also introduced to Miss Ina, Mackenzie and Libby's eccentric neighbour, who is super awesome and I hope she will make an appearance in future books. I am also super excited to see how will things develop between Libby and Antonio. I can feel the tension burning incredibly hot between those two!
This series is amazing if you're in mood for something quick, light and cheesy, and something not riddled with angst!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2018This is the second book in the Fluke My Life series and I have really enjoyed them so far in fact I might have enjoyed this one more than the first.
Each book so far has been about the Reed siblings and this one is about the oldest sister Mackenzie or Mac as everyone calls her. She’s the typical description of a tomboy, she would rather hang out with the guys catch a baseball game and get a beer than get dressed up and wear makeup. She has spent the past two years pining for the guy she considered a friend hoping he would notice her only to discover that he had a girlfriend, determined to get over him she accepts a date with the first guy that asks and after her younger sister dresses her up she is devastated to be stood up. But that’s the night that she meets Wes their eyes catch across the room the minute he walks in and he makes a move pretty much straight away. Their chemistry is off the charts from the beginning and after they spend the night together Mac runs. Not believing that he would want the girl that she is most days wearing jeans and no makeup, but she could not be more wrong, Wes has her in his sights and he will find her, they are so much more than a one-time thing.
Wes transferred to the NYPD to escape the past and a devastating incident that has left part of him broken. The night that he meets Mac he knows that she makes his world right again whether he deserves that or not. He is genuinely gutted when he wakes and finds her gone only to race to the subway to see her pulling away. He thought they shared something special. They do meet again when his new partner invites him over for thanksgiving dinner and it turns out she is the older sister of Fawn. Now he knows how to find her he is determined to chase her. She is just what he never knew he was looking for and she was made to complete him. Can convince her that they are meant to be? And will Mac stop running from the man that she wants?
There are many twists and turns in their relationship and a few emotional moments but as with all Aurora’s Books the characters are well developed and the chemistry is off the charts. Great Book and can’t wait for more.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 September 2022Mackenzie and Wesley have such an easy and firey romance, two things that shouldn't be able to go together but work. Their relationship isn't easy and definitely has its bumps along the way. Aurora doesn't know how to write anything differently and it's something she's so good at.
Stumbling Into Love has the classic unexpected pregnancy trope but instead of it being near the end of the book this is more mid-range and laid out more into the storyline. I enjoyed Wesley's character with his cheeky chappy demeanour and how Mackenzie complimented him so well with her tomboy fashion.
Another easy 3-star read and I can't wait for the next sister.

I will say I didn't find it as funny as the first book but that didn't stop it being amazing I loved the relationship between Mac and Wesley you really do feel for them both. I love Mac's family they are really all loopy and I wish I had a neighbour like Mrs Ina. All I can say is bring on Libby's book I can't wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great feel good read
Mac is recovering from the loss of hope after learning the man she’s best friends with and has had a huge crush on for two years is now engaged to another woman. When her blind date stands her up she meets Wesley. They hit it off and are soon enjoying a one night stand with Mac running out the next morning. She suffers from some insecurities and it’s better to cut and run than wait around until her sexy ONS realizes the woman he met the night before isn’t the real Mackenzie.
Wesley is immediately attracted to Mac but when she keeps running he can’t help but wonder what it is about him that she doesn’t like. Eventually he earns the chance to take things to the next level with her and he couldn’t be happier. He just has to make her see that this is the real deal for him while making her fall in love with him along the way.
I absolutely loved this couple. Their relationship was fun and easy but overshadowed with something from Wesley’s past that he can’t talk about. Initially, he worried that she would run again and yet it was his actions that pushed her away.
This was one of those feel good reads that have just enough angst to keep the story going but not enough to make you want to throw your Kindle at the wall. It may sound like a lot of push and pull but it that was just a small part of the story. The secondary characters added dimension to the book and I loved that we not only got to see Fawn and Levi from book one of the Fluke My Life series, we got a tease of what’s to come with Libby.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an easy read between darker, heavier stories. If you enjoy your heroes all possessive alpha and protective as well, your heroines sweet but sassy and not a doormat without being harsh, this is the perfect book for you.
This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and Montlake.
Dual POV
Safe – no ow drama; her ex-crush/friend is still in the picture but causes no real drama
No apparent triggers

5.0 out of 5 stars Read as a standalone, and absolutely loved it!!
I read this as a stand alone, and it definitely held it's own. It didn't assume the reader was familiar with the characters or world they live in, creating and building them from the start (I think it helps that each book is this series focuses on a different sibling, so the character development would be needed anyway).
I really liked Mac - she was strong, confident, didn't take crap from anyone and knew what she didn't want in a guy. Her chemistry with Wesley is palpable from the start, but after a series of bad experiences being hurt, stood up or misreading situations, she no longer trusts her own judgement.
Wesley has been through a lot before moving to NY - and the loss he experienced and blame he places on himself makes it hard for him to open up about that point in his life. He falls for Mac hard, and wants to convince her to be his, but makes some mistakes along the way that push her further away from him.
I loved their journey, and that it was just about them - no love triangle or other outside influences to impact their relationship. Theirs isn't a traditional relationship by any means - it's hot, and its fast, and it readily combusts when they don't communicate. But thankfully common sense reigns, and they do make amends to get their HEA.
The multiple epilogues were well done, and I loved that insight into their lives 7mths and 17mths down the track as we saw how they were doing. I don't feel anything was missing and all of the plot points associated with Mac and Wesley were solidly resolved.
Definitely a book I would recommend, either as part of the series so you get to meet all the sisters, or as the standalone I read it as.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful love story as always!
I'm a huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds and her books are always at the top of my reading list. She's an exquisite storyteller and I love so much her steamy, stimulating and emotionally charged stories full of heart. Stumbling Into Love was no exception and I can't wait to read the next in the FML series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good!
I really enjoyed Stumbling Into Love. It was a light and easy low angst read that made me smile. I liked this a lot more than the first book in this series. Wesley and Mac were great. Even though Mac was a bit of a runner which is something that normally annoys me, it didn't with Mac. Their romance was sweet and sexy. Looking forward to Libby's book.
