Okay so I really, really wanted to love this book - the cover, the description - they gave me all the feels. But, sadly in the end, it was just okay.
First, this poor heroine gets run through the fucking ringer in this book…
I mean, no joke this girl just gets tossed shit the entire book. So I really need to applaud her character for not completely crumpling.
Seriously, you authors really need to give these girls a break sometimes!!
Even though she was literally handed blow after blow - she took her punches, dealt with them and moved on. I actually applaud her character for surviving and remaining a good heroine.
Like several of Chantal’s other MC books they never hit the MC mark for me. The guys are to…….

I mean are you really an alpha biker if you cry twice in a book and speak in full sentences?
These two start with some tension and I was really getting into it thinking this was going to be the perfect enemies to lovers book. Then boom they were together, without anything really happening.
Yes it was explained, but the explanation was just meh. I think if we had Crow’s POV this would have been so much better.
My one big complaint was that even though Bronte had all this shit going on, not once did I feel like Crow was protecting her. He just kept leaving her unattended and letting her go places by herself! Um Hello!! What the fuck are you doing!! You need to be over-bearing and over-protective - YOU ARE AN ALPHA BIKER AFTER ALL!!
I know, there I go being a picky bitch again, I can’t help it! Now I will say, I have read a lot of Biker books. They are some of my faves so I would definitely take my opinion with a grain of salt, because once you have read some incredible Badass Alpha Biker Boys, its hard to meet those expectations. Also I think I go into an MC book expecting drama, an asshole hero who is extremely OTT and overprotective, and I’m prepared and excited for it. So when you get a nice guy who listens to her opinion, talks about it, and gives the heroine her way - its kinda shocking and unsettling.
This is a great Biker Book with Training Wheels for all you Biker Babes just starting out….
All in all, do not pass on this book just because I have extremely high expectations for my Bikers books. I can definitely see this being a really enjoyable book for so many people. It has solid writing, very few errors (which is a rarity in and of itself lately), and some really great characters.

Custom Built is the first in Chantal Fernando's Fast & Fury series but does feature some familiar faces for anyone that's read the Knights of Fury series. This was a really easy story to get into and I both characters were easy to like. There was some tension between Crow and Bronte when the book opened up but that quickly went away when they got to know each other more and from there they had a fast relationship.
Not going to lie, there were some times that it felt a little too fast, especially with everything else going on and at times their relationship got pushed into the background. By the end though I was okay with that since it was still very clear that they had a connection. They were actually pretty sweet with each other and it was fun to read abut them together.
Overall, I would for sure recommend this book and I think it will suck people in to these characters and some of the craziness going on in their lives.

This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Custom Built by Chantal Fernando is the first book in the Fast and Fury series. It is a spin-off of her Knights of Fury series. Readers familiar with her Knight of Fury series would recognise most of the characters featured in Custom Built.
This installment introduces the reader to Bronte and Crow, two likeable and relatable characters. The story began with Bronte experiencing major upheavals in her life. She lost her job as a private investigator’s assistant and she’s dealing with major health issues. The only good thing in her life is the relationship she shares with her dad. She had a breakthrough in her job search when her uncle arranged to get her a job at a motor cycle shop. The only drawback was her jerk of a boss who did not appreciate the way she secured the job.
Crow is a member of Knights of Fury motorcycle club. His attraction to Bronte took him by surprise and he tried covering it up by acting like a jerk towards her. However, when tragedy struck placing Bronte’s life in danger his protective instincts kicked in and soon these two will find themselves building a relationship that was passionate and sweet.
I had a great time with this book. I am fairly new to the author’s work having only read the last book from her Knights of Fury series. I can see why she is a favourite for readers of this genre. She pulled me into her story from the start and kept me entertained until the end. I enjoyed the mix of romance and suspense, which I found to be well balanced. It lacked the darkness and grittiness one would expect from a MC story. It was all around sweet and passionate story.
Bronte and Crow may have been complete opposites in terms of lifestyle but they were both strong willed and determined. An unlikely pair who made the perfect couple.
The secondary characters helped to make the story a fun read amid the unhappiness, danger and secrets that often surrounds Bronte.
Custom Built proved to be a well written story filled with secrets, heat, suspense and danger. I am looking forward to reading more from the author.

Oh I love Crow!! Damn!

This book seemed a little tamer than the others I have read in that we actually are seeing the characters in a place of business. The Knights are not stirring up too many issues but are definitely showing their true colors with their protectiveness and love for each other.
I just really got a different vibe from this book than some of the other ones but I love the change. This book focused more on the issues and relationships between Crow and Bronte than the actual running of the club with attached relationships.
Custom Built is unique with a bit of a suspense twist that was not expected. It keeps the interest high and the flow of the story moving nicely. And as always, the club members are well in tune with each other, fun and friendships connect, and the support is amazing.
This book is between a novella and a full-size story. It flows nicely, has an amazing connection between Crow and Bronte, with hot and steamy spice that will fire you up! Fernando kicks off this new series in a big way!

This book was a mess of unnecessary and unrealistic situations, with random characters, and the most non MC storyline that I've ever read.
It didn't started bad though...
Quite the contrary actually.
It started with a good introduction of the characters and their whereabouts.
It was a cliche situation with the sheltered girl and the grumpy bad boy member of a MC, but it was interesting enough to continue... and for that, I'm giving my two stars.
But then sh*t started to happen and it didn't stopped until the end.
A few things made sense to the story at first, but mostly were there just to add some kind of shocking or drama factor (or maybe just word count).
It was a mess of cry over some death in a minute to I love you and sweet nothings in the next. And then repeat all over again.
So many unnecessary things dragging the boredom in the end...
Everything happened to Bronte and things become so extra in the end, that I didn't even wanted to finish it.
But i did it...
Don't recommend it though.
PS.: This series is spin off of another series and their characters are all over the place.
I also didn't knew that.

I actually think this should be book 4 in the Knights of Fury series. I don't understand why she started a new series. All the peeps from the KOF series make appearances during this one.
I love Crow in KOF, but he started out as a wee bit of a jerk in this book. He overcomes that pretty quick and is the great guy I remember him to be. Bronte has had a sh!tty year, loss on top of loss on top of loss. Crow helps her overcome them all, and she falls for him along the way. I thought it was over, but no there was more and more and finally an epilogue.
I hope Chains is up next.

Bronte is definitely not having the best time of her life right now. She might to have a hysterectomy, and she just lost her job. Things could definitely be better. She still has her dad though. He’s her rock. Things start to look up when her uncle gets her a job at a motorcycle shop. Only problem is the boss is a total jerk, oh and it’s part of a MC. Nothing is as it seems. Especially not her family.
MCs has always been one of my favorite tropes. And this book did not disappoint. But I do wish that we got to see more of the actual MC and what happened in it. I didn’t know that this was a spin-off series, but I was able to follow along just fine. I do want to go back and read the others though. So I can see how Abbie and Temper meet!
Poor Bronte. She was pretty much beaten down through out the entire book. She didn’t let the lose keep her down though, and I really admire her for that. Her relationship with her dad was incredible. It was so sad to see him go.
I feel like there was a lot more to Crow than was seen in this book. It’s probably in the others. I really want to know what he was like! I don’t get why he was so mean to Bronte at first. It’s not like the shop was exactly strictly professional.
Overall this was an amazing book. I definitely recommend it!

Character Chemistry: 180 degrees wouldn’t adequately describe the instant shift these protagonists have in their attitudes to each other
Plot: I don’t even know what to tell you. There’s more than one murder of characters we meet, and I was wondering why the epilogue was 1. Not called the epilogue and was 2. Four chapters long
Overall: SMH
I have enjoyed many books by Chantal Fernando, at least half of them never seeing the light of day on our blog. While her writing may not be technically superior, I typically have felt that she can tell an engaging story with a good voice, and I enjoy her heroes. Ergo, I must admit that I was surprised at the quality of the prose in this book, primarily because I was just sitting in my chair (or wherever I was) thinking to myself, “But I don’t understand why this is happening right now. Why is this happening right now? Why are these characters behaving in this way?” most of the time.
For example: Bronte is 24, and she’s been working as an assistant to a PI, but she’s not actually a PI, and she doesn’t have any special skills, and she’s been dating this biker guy for about a second. So why is she the one investigating her father’s murder when her uncle is the most powerful drug lord in town? Yes, she uses her PI friend and the MC as resources, but why does her uncle let her run the investigation? He’s just like, “Okay, you do you little niece. LMK if you need any help.” REALLY?!?!?!?! And the suspects are all other drug lords who want to take over when Bronte’s uncle and father retire. WHY WOULD THE DRUG LORDS WHO SEEK TO GAIN FROM THE RETIREMENT OF THE TOP DOG MURDER THE TOP DOG?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Shouldn’t they murder each other in the vacuum left by the absence of the top dog? Admittedly, I know absolutely nothing about the politics of underworld drug culture, but really. What a waste of resources when there’s almost certain to be a war among the remaining contenders to vie for the top. If that’s how it actually works, I’m disappointed in drug lords everywhere. Fernando kind of tried to explain the idea of this for a hot minute and I was just like, no. No. I am not buying what you’re selling.
I mean, that’s most of the plot, so everything just snowballs from there. Bronte is so fantastically immature but talks a big game in her head (it’s 1st present POV, so it’s aaaaall in her head), I was tempted to grind my teeth in frustration at times. And the 1st POV really detracted from this narrative, because there was a good bit of telling, not showing. Beefing up the dialog to demonstrate how the relationships were progressing would have done a lot for this book, but almost all of the story is told like: “this happened, and then this happened, and then this happened, and I had these feelings about it,” which does a grave disservice to the seriously meaty content in this book.
And I’m talking seriously meaty. Bronte is orphaned (her mother had died when she was young) very early on when her father is murdered. She learns that her irregular cells on her cervix constantly returning mean that she might need a hysterectomy. Another friend is murdered because of the sleuthing surrounding her father’s murder. And she finds out that her father was secretly dating a woman he never told her about, when he swore he’d never replace her mother who was the love of his life. That is some seriously heavy stuff. And we just breeze by it because it’s described to us in such a detached manner.
I’m just shaking my head right now.
So let’s talk romance, shall we? This is a romance blog, not a suspense/thriller blog, after all.
This was also - to a lesser extent, but only because I brushed it off to get on with the story - a WUT situation for me. Because: Bronte gets laid off from her PI assistant job because the PI isn’t making enough money, so her uncle gets her a job working at this custom bike shop (Fast & Fury...hello series title) that his newfound daughter is associated with because, yes, this is a spinoff series from the Knights of Fury series, and Abbie from Temper is, in fact, Bronte’s cousin. Anyway, Bronte starts working at this shop, which is owned by the Knights of Fury MC, so naturally it is run by one of the MC brothers - Crow - and Crow is both super hot and super standoffish/rude when he first talks to Bronte.
So we have this whole setup for resisting the pull of the romance, and….nothing. Nothing, because they have about three grumpy interactions in the shop and then Bronte and her bestie go out to a club - a club also owned by the MC, because of course it is - and Crow is there. So they dance, and JUST LIKE THAT it flips a switch from “this can’t happen” to a fully committed relationship. And I say this because the next plot point that happens is that Bronte’s father is murdered and suddenly she’s got all this support and people who care about her that we didn’t know about 30 pages earlier, including Crow practically living with her. I just. I can’t.
Furthermore, Crow is completely 2-dimensional. Why does he care about Bronte at all? I honestly could not tell you, except that she walks into his shop and he has the hots for her and he’s not a total jerk. I guess. He is there to prop up Bronte’s character and for no other reason.
There is so much here that could be a really, truly interesting story, and it just does not pull together. I’m super bummed about it.

Anyway, Bronte starts working at this shop, which is owned by the Knights of Fury MC, so naturally it is run by one of the MC brothers - Crow - and Crow is both super hot and super standoffish/rude when he first talks to Bronte.
So we have this whole setup for resisting the pull of the romance, and….nothing. Nothing, because they have about three grumpy interactions in the shop and then Bronte and her bestie go out to a club - a club also owned by the MC, because of course it is - and Crow is there. So they dance, and JUST LIKE THAT it flips a switch from “this can’t happen” to a fully committed relationship. And I say this because the next plot point that happens is that Bronte’s father is murdered and suddenly she’s got all this support and people who care about her that we didn’t know about 30 pages earlier, including Crow practically living with her. I just. I can’t.
Furthermore, Crow is completely 2-dimensional. Why does he care about Bronte at all? I honestly could not tell you, except that she walks into his shop and he has the hots for her and he’s not a total jerk. I guess. He is there to prop up Bronte’s character and for no other reason.
There is so much here that could be a really, truly interesting story, and it just does not pull together. I’m super bummed about it.

AHHH! I have been obsessed with Chantal Fernando's books for years and was so excited to jump into her new Fast and Fury series! Crow and Bronte were just delicious! He was broody and sexy and everything I love in my MC heroes. Bronte likewise was strong and sassy and gave as good as she got!
Overall I loved their connection and banter and all the extended cast of characters. I can't wait for more books in this series! 4 stars! ~Ratula

I just loved this one. It was amazing.
I loved the characters from the other series and seeing them get there own series just made me really happy.

"Custom Built" is the first book of the "Fast and Fury" series by the author Chantel Fernando. Told in dual Perspectives , get ready to meet Bronte and Crow!!
I have read all the damn books by this author. Now you must be thinking that I have really not read all of them since there are so many of them , but nope. You are wrong. I have literally read every book because I am just obsessed with this author. Her writing skills are flawless and don't even get me started on her MC books. The best ever!!!
Bronte Is the girl with a job and an asshole boss. After having her whole life ripped away from her, she thinks of this job as the break she clearly deserves but those thoughts go out of the window when she meets her new boss. Crow is a total douche bag. And apparently , his behaviour is only reserved for her. She doesn't even know what she did to deserve this but those dreams of taking a break clearly fly out of the window after meeting him .
They both have a complicated relationship and when things get tough and other stuff from her past resurfaces , this club might be the only thing that could save her. She has found her family here and she would do anything to keep it.
Crow and Bronte's story was epic and totally consuming. Just like every other MC book by this author , I loved this one too. There were times when I wanted to punch Crow so bad , but then that is the case with all of her heroes.
A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there who would love themes like MC Romance and suspense in the mix!!

I was super excited for this book, because MC romances are my favorites. I love the rawness and intensity of this genre. And while Custom Built was a pretty nice read, I missed everything I love biker books for. It was a really good read, for a contemporary romance. The only thing that really connected this story to MC in my opinion is that the main character rode a motorcycle. Yes, we have the actual club here, but somehow it was too tame... I just expected something more dark-ish. What I got was sweet.
Therefore, I have the impression that all the terrible situations that the heroine experienced were forced here to give this book 'character'. I also couldn't quite connect with Bronte, because her reactions felt a bit robotic to me. Surprisingly I liked Crow, although he didn’t live up to my expectations as a biker. Sure, he was a jerk at first, the frowning, growling alpha, but he lost all of that roughness very fast. Sure, he was protective and all that jam, but in a charming and adorable way. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some sweet hero, but again, not in a MC book.
All in all, this book is good. But don’t expect here flying bullets or bikers smelling of smoke and bad decisions. Expect a rather sweet insta-love like story with a bit of suspense.

Good lord 😮why does the author hate the main girl so much? Fuck...this is some bullshit. Dead mom (cancer) Dead dad (murdered), best friend dead (murdered). Throw in pre cancer cells, miscarriage, hysterectomy, kidnapping....mix it together for end results.....shit show. Fucking hell lady, 2020 is depressing enough.

What a shame.... *smh
When I read the synopsis, I couldn't stop the immediate comparison with the fabulous Under Locke by our slow burn queen Mariana Zapata.
Because let's be honest, the idea is pretty much the same and I dunno if this author was inspired by this book or not, but come on, we are not stupid.
But anywho.
I was excited. And I really wanted to love this one.
However, my enthusiasm quickly died down once I started reading this book and realised that comparing this book to Under Locke would be like comparing a kick scooter to a harley davidson. Just because they both have wheels.
We meet the heroine when she finds out that she needs another surgery because she has pre-cancerous cells. Let's remember that she lost her mum due to cancer many years ago.
Then she loses her job. But gets hired by Crow, our hero.
We have the insta vibrations in the heroine's panties and she lusts after the hero like a chubby kid lusts after chocolate muffins.
Another bummer was the non existent romance.
The instalust/ instalove or whatever idiocy was going on in this one was just plain stupid.
Just because he didn't treat her like a goddamn queen, this girl automatically decided he hated her.
And I was like, bitch, who do you think you are? A fucking queen of England? (god rest her soul).
So after one day of not so very friendly interactions, these two suddenly take a one-eighty and dry hump each other on a dance floor like a hormone-driven kids on a school dance.
And all of a sudden they are almost a couple?
Or that's what everyone thinks.
And I was already shaking my head like a wet dog and rolling my eyes like a lunatic.
So a few days pass and it turns out her dad died. Or rather was murdered. What's better, turns out that together with her uncle they were powerful drug lords.
Yeah, I'm not kidding.
So, our pathetic heroine cries for a few days, the hero looks after her and after a week or so she's back to normal, smilling, lauging and back to gossiping to her idiotic friends about how she and Crow didn't kiss yet and all that nonsense.
And I wish I could say this was her coping mechanism of some sort, but nope.
These are all grown up women, and yet acting like stupid teenage kids.
Every time our idiotic heroine has a conversation with Crow or when they finally kissed the first time, these dumb bitches sat together and talked about it for hours.
About every fucking thing.
Of course, there is more drama, the h and H jump into bed righ away, these dumb bitches talk about it, then she tries to find the killer of her father, there's more stupid drama.
And I honestly lost any interest.
Summing up, no, I didn't like it.
The characters were immature ad annoying.
The heroine was just too stupid to exist.
The hero had a lot of potential but it was missed.
The story tries too hard and too much is going on.
It's all rushed and I dunno why.
The characters act like kids, not adults, especially the idiotic women.
I wish I could say I recommend this one, but I don't.
I'd say go read Under Locke, it's a million times better.
Such a shame.

But outside of that, this was a fun read ~ not only because of Bronte and Crow, but also getting to catch up with some favs from the Knights of Fury (Yes, this is a spinoff/interconnected series ~ I didn’t realize this until a few chapters in *shrugs*)
I loved Bronte and Crow. Bronte is sweet, sassy and has a good heart. She’s one of those people that finds a way to roll with the punches, even if those punches break her heart. Crow is ~ to quote the synopsis ~ “hardheaded, stubborn and brutally honest” but this isn’t just when he’s being all kinds of broody and grumpy. He is a good man who, once a decision is made, is all in.
Their journey to their HEA was an interesting, but fun one. The start was definitely less than stellar, but the attraction was there and I enjoyed watching as they danced around each other until they had no choice but to dance with each other. The angsty-ness was on the low end, which I enjoyed because the drama that surrounded them was pretty intense, but I liked how it brought them closer and how it had their HEA mean so much more in the end.
This author always takes me on a ride and this one was a crazy one. The aforementioned landmines had me going “Da fuq?” and “really!!” but I cannot deny that they made sense and all of them were resolved in the end. And then there are the secondary cast of characters. I loved catching up with Saint and Skyler, Renny and Izzy, and Abbie and Temper as well as Uncle Neville and seeing how they are all doing in their relationships, but it was a lot of fun meeting the newbies: Billie, Cam, Chains, Dee and Nadia. I adored Cam and cannot wait to get to know Chains better. So here’s to looking forward to the next book in the series!

Where do I sign up for that? Having him or one of his boys, sounds like a win-win to me. I'm a fan of the author's Wind Dragon MC series and couldn't resist trying this one after reading the synopsis. Crow sounded like an alpha asshole who's also a badass biker and just what I enjoy reading. And I did...and he is...sigh.
I enjoyed the buildup as Crow and Bronte circled each other. He might be acting all gruff and standoffish with her, but their chemistry is sparking and I was excited for them to finally ignite. And, I was excited to work out my mental muscles as the suspense built as well.
While this is only the first book in the Fast & Fury series, there are characters that we've seen in other books by this author. As always, the MC family is strong and the women are fierce. I look forward to what comes next. The line forms here...

This is a spicy, drama filled bad boy romance, so it's right up my alley. The main character is Bronte, a woman who's just lost her job and is facing some terrible medical news. She gets a job at a motorcycle repair shop and immediately crushes on her new boss. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to feel the same way and puts up a wall between them. When someone close to Bronte is murdered, Crow steps up and helps her investigate what actually happened.
I liked Crow and Bronte together, I thought they fit well together. I didn't understand why he pushed her away at first then changed his mind out of nowhere. I thought it seemed odd that he would change his mind that quickly and maybe it could have been a bit more drawn out. I also thought a couple times Bronte bugged me, flip flopping on her decisions. I did like that she cared deeply about her family and friends and kept searching for the truth of what happened.
The story was fast paced and went by quickly with no slow parts. There were some nicely written romantic scenes that I enjoyed as well.

Bronte's having a rough go at it right now when she's given the opportunity to work at a garage, all helped along by her newly discovered cousin. Though she knows nothing about bikes or mechanics, she's excited to have a job and to get to know her cousin better. Her cousin's man, Temper, is the prez of the MC that owns the garage, and she figures her cousin will be around there a lot to help her settle in. She doesn't figure on her new boss being so um hostile to her. Oh well, she can get along without being in his good graces. Right?
Crow's unsettled by his new gorgeous employee, and acts like a jerk for awhile til he gets his head on straight, and from there on he actually shows that he's a good guy. Color me shocked! But there are going to be many, many things that will come out of nowhere, and Crow and Bronte will have to stick together if she wants to make it through with her sanity and her life intact.
I guess I'm used to MC romances that are a little...um, how shall I say this? Harder? Darker? Grittier? Don't get me wrong, I ended up liking Custom Built, it was just a little sweeter than I am used to in an MC read. Crow is definitely much sweeter than the average alphahole MC dude, actually, he wasn't really alpha at all, just a good guy who happens to be in an MC. Bronte, though, is the real standout for me. I loved her character - her emotional and mental strength, and her survivor attitude and big heart. Though this is much sweeter than I'm used to dealing with, I still liked Custom Built, I liked Bronte and Crow, and look forward to much more Fast & Fury stories.

I’ve heard praise of the author, so I was excited to read this book, thinking I’d finally read an MC romance that I’d really enjoy. It didn’t happen.
There’s always some suspense/action/mob stuff in MC romances. That means there should be a coherent, well thought out plot. But most of the time, I can’t see the logic behind the characters’ actions, and the villain’s plan makes no sense. That was the case here. So that part of the story was already a miss for me.
The romance part didn’t fare better. One moment, Bronte and Crow frown at each other, the next, they’re sucking face and announcing they are in a relationship. What? Where’s the seduction? Where’s the character development? I couldn’t get behind the couple.
I wanted to like them though. Because Bronte’s personal struggles felt real and important, and I wanted to read more about how she deals with them–spoiler alert, you read none of that. And I found Crow’s gentle protectiveness and utter devotion refreshing in a world where alpha males are the norm. But I never saw the spark. As for their intimacy, don’t expect too much: sex scenes are rushed and not very detailed, a wobbly mix between closed door and explicit.
Another miss for me.

Bronte needs a break. And a job. So her uncle sets her up at Fast & Fury- a custom motorcycle shop she knows nothing about. It doesn’t help that her boss Crow is a jerk. But when a murder turns into a conspiracy and danger for her- it’s Crow and his MC family, who are there for her.
I really enjoyed this read right up until the probably the last third and then it got a little off track for me. Bronte has this killer strong independent vibe going from the start that I enjoyed. Despite getting one curveball after another throw at her. And boy do those curveballs go wild. I did not see them coming.
But here is her new boss, Crow, stepping in to be there for her. At first you were sure he was going to be that alpha jerk biker but he really wasn’t that at all. He had a much softer side for a typical biker romance. And I didn’t mind it. It was also fun to see all the old crew from Knights MC and how they all connected.
It did feel rushed at times. And the twists in the end were just too much and too many for me personally. Thought I have to applaud Bronte for still standing after all that! It does still contain a sweet HEA. I think this will be a great book for those who enjoy a twist filled MC Romance, with a softer biker hero.

Bronte needs a break. And a job. So her uncle sets her up at Fast & Fury- a custom motorcycle shop she knows nothing about. It doesn’t help that her boss Crow is a jerk. But when a murder turns into a conspiracy and danger for her- it’s Crow and his MC family, who are there for her.
I really enjoyed this read right up until the probably the last third and then it got a little off track for me. Bronte has this killer strong independent vibe going from the start that I enjoyed. Despite getting one curveball after another throw at her. And boy do those curveballs go wild. I did not see them coming.

Aah. Bronte pierce is such a sweetie, no matter what life throws at her, she always seems to look on the bright side of life. That was my first thought when I started this story. By the time I’d finished the book, I was amazed that the girl had any faith left. Losing her job, her family, her friends, what else can go wrong? Well, quite a lot actually. All the drama has in fact brought her to the attention of the Knights of Fury MC, and in particular Crow, and let me tell you, underneath that hard chiselled exterior is a soft, loveable and protective teddy bear. That’s a good job really, because Bronte needs all the support she can get. Action, drama, and a wonderful love story. Sweet and compelling. Not too heavy on MC drama, and I’ve got to be honest Crow doesn’t play the part of your regular tough, uncompromising biker. I loved him all the same. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

A Great Start
Bronte has had some really bad luck lately including getting fired from her PI work and she thought that bad luck was following her when she landed another job with the help of a relative. How could someone who look so good and treat people so nice be such a grouch to her?! Not only that but the guy ran the Fast & Fury custom bike shop and was a member of the Knights MC. She tolerated his dirty looks and his standoffishness until she couldn’t stay away anymore.
Crow has been trying to keep the stunning admin out of his mind but that just keeps getting harder to do. He and Bronte have been dancing around each other until that night at the night club and things heat up from there. It is Crow who is there for her when her world begins to fall apart. The secrets, deceptions and her health are all life altering and it’s with Crow’s help that she tries to make her way through this maze. Nothing like having a hot as sin biker with true compassion in your corner.
I loved the Wind Dragons MC series and Fast & Fury is lining up to be just as good.

Bronte is going through a rough patch when she loses her job, not because she was a bad employee or anything like that but because the employer wasn't making enough money to keep her on. So, on her journey to find a new job she applied everywhere then one afternoon when she went to her father's house to have a BBQ. In this BBQ she finds a job, and she also discovers she has a long lost cousin who also works at the shop that she is going to work at. Finding that job was probably the best thing to happen to her, she finds friends, a love interest and stability. Then the unthinkable happens, her father passes away. While her father does have some secrets, his death is not as cut and dry as the police think it to have been. So, Bronte is on the road of discovery to find out what happened to her father as well as she finds love along the way!
This is a romance but it's a quick read and really good. I gave it 4/5 stars. I definitely recommend those who love romance stories but also like a little bit more to the story and did I mention a motorcycle gang? It's a quick, cute, sweet read.
